Is this left over dilution, or some heavy desperate dumping going on?
Ok guys, I'm in agreement. Fins ANYTIME is great. I was just getting on the love train for good news.
And speaking of Love train... yes, I'll share and believe me, there's plenty! :)
Rocketman, what I was thinking, is that if they have to re-submit Q1, then they should put out a PR telling the investment community why. One text message to one investor isn't adaquate.
So I'm hoping that Monday, or soon, Q1 re-submit with a PR explaining why.
and... someone was asking about fishin in Cancun. Sounds good to me, but I've only been to Cancun twice. Loved it! Mexico was a great place for a vacation. I wish the drug wars would stop so I'd feel safe about going back.
The bikini girls in my picture were in a model shoot on the beach there. I asked permission to take a few of my own pics, and they said sure.... What middle aged white guy from California could resist taking a few pics?
Happy Charlie
Nice to know the good 'ol boys here are dreaming big and gettin' happy.
Whatever you guys are smoking or taking.... I share your enthusiasm!
What are the chances of a PR on Monday?? anyone?
Charlie
Jim46 - Your sharing of communications with Parent is EXACTLY why investors like me read these boards! Thanks isn't a strong enough word.... but Thanks!!
Didn't someone say, months and months ago, that we would see multiple filings, PR's and uplist - all within a day or two of the first filing?
Can you just imagine the excitement and PPS hike that would come from something like that?
i don't know about the rest of you boys and girls, but I'm starting to look at buying a new car and then maybe retire with this stuff...
Charlie
Thanks Pro-truck. I thought that was interesting.I didn't know about #5 - gold being born from Supernova's.
Charlie
Just another buy for $300 would take us up to 6....
anyone wanna grab a bat and take a swing?
Look at the size of the ASK.... looks a little suspicious, doesn't it?
BTW, just added another 350,000 of padding.
Charlie
TOSCA, Thanks and quesitons - of course :)
Great figures to chew on while we wait for something offical from SGCP.
If we bring this up to size, will we need to have so much in management costs? $400 an acre for even 5,000 acres would be $2 million dollars.
And I'm hoping that there are going to be other areas for revenue that we haven't thought about yet.
Such as... what would it take to set up a small furniture building shop in SL? Just start with simple tables and chairs. We'd be creating jobs and making a product that can be exported.
What a great success story this little company can become!
Thanks again TOSCA!
Charlie
Nice to see the available 5's are gone and now it's 6 for the buyers! and theres only 2.5 million shares at 6! they could be gone in one buy.....
moving on up today?
Thanks TOSCA, you're giving us good info.
These trees get harvested several times. So is that 700 million per harvest or a total for 50 years?
It doesn't really matter though because even if it's only 30 million in a few years, that's STILL HUGE!!
Here is some revised info on the Paulownia tree....
Look at the size of that leaf!
http://crc.nativeweb.org/tree.html
and another showing how many per acre....
http://www.worldpaulownia.com/html/establish.html
Of course all the things that are needed for this to happen will have to be built, but even if my numbers are off by 75%, that still leaves $472,000,000. Plenty of money to build roads and saw mills and STILL pull decent profits.
Thanks TOSCA for the info...
So if we use rough numbers then maybe we get about $200 per tree x 225 trees per acre = $45,000 per acre for the lumber.
$45,000 per acre x 42,000 acres (SL1) would = $1,890,000,000 for the lumber!
That's rediculously high. Please check my math here and tell me how I'm wrong.
OK, not ALL the trees have been planted yet and this would be money far into the future. but still, shouldn't we be thinking about this when we buy this stock at .0005?
Ok, I just got us out of the 4's. Padded my account with 150,000 cheap 5's.
Who's next?
B4, I am going to have to sign up someday so I can PM people.....
You have, and still do, hold my respect. I value your opinion and wasn't referring to you in any negative way.
I guess I can quote an old song you may know.....
Welcome to the camp, I guess you all know why we're here
my name is Charlie, and I became aware this year

FR: I’m happy and have a few questions for the board….
Yes, the amount of gold recovered was disappointing and when I first read it, it just sounded like a bunch of worn out excuses…. But then I took some time to think it out and to read lots of opinions from those on this board that I have come to respect…. And I’m happy with it.
First of all I have to take John and Doug at their word. This always has been a “trust me” operation and it will continue to be that way. There IS a fuel shortage in SL, and I’m sure they have had equipment problems too. So I’ll accept that we only produced 48 oz. of gold. The comment of “in spite of gold grades being significantly improved” was encouraging. I wish they would have told us how much black sands we have stockpiled so far.
I’m very happy to know why they had to dilute more, and at THIS time of the season. Our production isn’t going to pay for everything, AND we purchased a tractor AND a fuel bowser. I have no idea what the price of fuel is in SL, but at $5 a gallon it would take $25,000 just to fill it up. SO that takes care of my dilution concerns.
Then there are the very encouraging comments about the Carbon Credit Project! “While the carbon credit market has softened due to worldwide economic issues, Sierra Gold has continued moving forward with project.” My question is this (and TOSCA, maybe you have read about this more than anyone!) If we are currently growing trees, then aren’t we generating carbon credits right now? Can we hold onto these credits and sell them later when we ‘forward sell’ the rest of the project? And if so, then don’t these credits have value and could be counted as an asset to the company right now? Do we know how many acres of trees we currently have planted? Approximately how much is the lumber from each tree worth when we harvest and sell it? Quote: “we will harvest the trees for sale in the Asian markets where Kiri (Palaumia) lumber has high value for its intrinsic designing value.
So overall I’m happy. And I’m disappointed that some on this board who are respected leaders with great experience turned out to be miss-guiding us, telling us that the information has stopped because of hurt feelings.. Glad they are wrong and John and Doug ARE still communicating with us!
Charlie
Nice find Carlina! Is there anything new in this article? It isn't a new PR but a nice page to let people know about us.
Thanks Kephri!
This could also be related to our neighbor SG*P.
I found a website for Perseus
http://www.perseusmining.com/projects_overview.12.html
I haven't had time yet to read it and am going back to bed shortly. (it's raining here and my cat got me up!)
Charlie
Looks like a good time to load up!
How much is enough?
Blue Dog, Thanks for the PM. I don't have PM to reply to you. I believe the potential is here, but the trust is getting thin. I may not be as patient as you.
C'mon SGCP! Show us some good times!
My girls like gold....
I have invested in this company for the last couple of YEARS. I've bought shares in the .0020's and remember when we bragged about getting ANYTHING in the teens. Now is the second day that FIVES are available to anyone that wants them.... FIVES! and millions of shares at 5 are left unsold.
Yes, I've invested in a junior miner located in a 3rd world African country famous for corruption. I'm terrified and scared and no, I can't sell at a 70% loss. How much more will the emotion increase if we drop to 4?
And yes, as a part owner of this company I do expect to READ about our status and plans. It helps sooth the nerves of investors to read these, and maybe even draw in a few more investors. Instead I'm reading about how the management might have gotten their feelings hurt and now won't release anything at all???? nonsense. John and Doug have thicker skins than that. Look at what they have to go through just to get to where the dredges are located. They are tougher men than most.
So I'll sit and wait and hope that I'll have something to read real soon. Am I an "impurity" to want this?
And I've found that the "ignore" botton works well at stopping nasty PMs. This is a public forum and we ALL have a right to voice our opinions about this company.
Charlie
I hope so too, I honestly do!
And I'm looking forward to reading about it soon.
This isn't bashing or trashing or stiring the pot. I'm reporting the truth because I believe most of us can handle the truth.
$25,000 of shares were sold today.
http://formds.com/filings/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&search=sierra+gold
For the price of a large pizza and a pitcher of beer, someone can wipe out the last of the .0068 and take us to a new high....
I just checked formds.com and there isn't any new sales of stock. So this is either left over from the last round of sales, or some investors are getting out. 30 million shares is a lot to eat though....
The ASK is so thin that one buyer could easily take it out and we'd be up to 7 again.
hopefully PT is correct and something is being put together for release soon.
Charlie
At least our PPS seems to be holding steady, or even a slight upward bend to it. That's got to be a good sign.
I sure wish this mystery would unfold and we'd find out how this gamble went. Did we win or lose? I have a strong feeling that we have a big win, but we all need to hear it FROM THEM....
Charlie
Meltinglass, I am in TOTAL agreement with you, and I don't want to be called a "pot stirer" for saying so.
We own a small piece of this company and should be kept informed about the good as well as the bad (if there is any). Silence leads to negative thoughts and who really WANTS that?
I thought there was NOTHING left of this company. isn't it just a shell? Didn't they lose all their contracts and were left in a legal battle over copywrights for the windmill??
I was thinking the same thing.....
What happened to our investor awareness program????
Nothing in the month of Feb exept for the J.V. agreement clairfication.
This SHOULD be a busy time for us and a busy time for PR's and field reports. I sure hope that they are holding back something big and will surprise us all very soon.
Dredging update? More J.V.s to be announced? Ag update? Carbon Credits? Heck, anything .......??
Charlie
If the 2q is done, then why not release it now??
Maybe it is something like that. This site requires you to sign up with your e-mail address and later they e-mail a confirmation to you so you can sign in a check it out. Just wanted to save others the time of going there. You won't see SGCP listed.
Like I was saying... maybe a good reason for it and maybe it is something like us going through the chiefs or some other way around this.
I've heard that most companies "fly under the radar" for as long as possible.
Charlie
I signed onto that sight a couple weeks ago to check on another jr miner that I have shares in. I found THAT one, but nothing on SGCP.
I didn't want to say anything here because, well, you see what happens when you say anything negative here. maybe there is a good reason for it not being listed on that sight. Maybe it's under a different name. I checked all the old names I found on SGCP, but still found nothing.
Holy Crap! Gold down HUGE! What's up with this??
Gold down $64.50
Did we suddenly sell our production on the market and crash it? :)
Charlie
I don't get to post alot because, well, I do have a job.
Seems to be a lot of talk about Cancun and My Girls... hey, there's plenty for all. and I mean that in a nice way. Lots of friendly people there. Be friendly, tip well, be positive, and everyone smiles and has a good time.
I'm due for another vacation! Come on SNEY! Gimme some lovin'
Right now works for me! Why wait any longer?
How much gold could they have by now? Any guesses? 500 oz? 1,000 oz?
Check out the price of GOLD today! it's gonna be $1800 soon. Maybe not today, but soon!
If I were to ask Dredgemaster a question.... and first let me say that I DO truely appreciate the wealth of knowledge he has contributed to our understanding of this industry. If you are reading this DM, Thanks!
Anyway, what I would ask him is this:
Please comment on the QUALITY of the gold that is being found. I highly doubt that there are ANY nuggets being found, but how about flakes of gold? Or is it all smaller ganular, sand like size? or worst of all, is it "flour" gold that is hard to see unless you have a concentrated pile of it?
And I was concerned about the comments he made about the general change in local stability and possible unrest. bribe and corruption and lawlessness. I understand that these are common in this part of the world and I hope it stays stable enough for companies to work in.
Charlie
Cool Beans! Someone got the LAST of the .0050's. Time for this to move on up!
Any sign of the Q yet? Anyone texting to Parent?
Charlie
Just added some more SNEY to pad my ROTH with. Looks nice for a buyer!
And for the record.... I'm not holding any PP. lol. There are SO MANY jokes there that I'm being nice and staying away from. :)
Charlie
Very disappointing to read about the dilution. We seem to be stuck in the triple zeros and can't even get to 7. Why would ANYONE want to buy at 7 when soon it will be at 5 (with the dilution)????
We've GOT to get some news, and SOON! I've been hear for over 2 years and I'm disappointed. The next round of news HAS to bring this up or I'll be looking to save what's left and ... hell, I'll STILL keep some in here because I KNOW what the potential here is, but I'll be moving a lot out and advising my family and friends to do the same.
Charlie
