I very rarely sell stocks. I own for the long term and collect dividends. That's investing.
The trouble with picking up cheap shares in something like QASP, is that there is really no such thing. Any price above zero is too expensive.
I flip this in a small portion of an IRA account. Taxes don't matter.
In my taxed accounts, it's just buy, hold and collect dividends.
I hear you and your point taken - I don't trade in an IRA of specific tax reasons. But I hear ya.
Guess you distinguish between trading and investing. I don't as trading is part of my investing strategy. (includes retirement plans in PERS, STRS, and 403B with other other investments including stocks and property). It's all about accumulating wealth for retirement for me.
I see the pinks and Q stocks as a high stakes gamble - but investing all the same.
All stock at some point is for flipping. Investing is a loose term. You can invest for a day, but to go long for tax reasons thats 365 days. I'm sure you know this. Perhaps I should clarify. I can wait on a PR so they can straighten out this mess. I'll just pick up a few shares down here if it stays cheap.
Every big run we have turns into a flip fest. We need to break this cycle as it is not conducive for an investing environment. Why would new blood come in to invest if they can wait for a lower entry a week later?
I'll tell you why IMO.... New management will change this cycle but it will take a little time. And, I am willing to suffer for the short term for what is to come.
Everyone who is attacking the new CEO is just out of line. Let the new CEO figure out what is going on with QASP. It's going to take more than 2 days to sort out the situation.
To complain about a CEO that has been on the job for two days just shows your motive.
Fink - don't have pm but yes agree with PR - I hope so on next PR. That would scramble the eggs of a few.
Ok fair enough. Give the guy a chance to sort out the company. It's been a few days. Then in couple of weeks if nothing has changed fire away.
Sputnik,
What would like to see QASP do?
Please... I had three times as much buys yesterday in 2 minutes. This is a low volume take down. Do the math 500000 x .0028 $1400 please
please we are down on loooooool volume. somebody please attack the ask...... we would move up in a heartbeat
slap that asssssk
Nice support. We build from here. There was bound to be a bit of profit taking.
Day traders out- longs in. Sounds good to me. Trying to do my part for bid support at these levels
I hope the new CEO goes about the new course quietly. I don't need to see a bunch of PR's and defiantly don't need smoke up my backside. When they figure it out let us know where we stand, the new plan, and move on.
Any kind person have an L2 they want to post.
thanks.
If the APEX CEO controls the preferred shares then:
1. If QASP owes something then they want the PPS to go up to cash in.
2. If QASP owes something then APEX may just take us over - Fine cash me out players!
3. If we don't owe them something then why does a APEX person control us?
4. Will the CEo of APEX who manages the preferred shares become the CEO of QASP soon?
All just IMO and thinking outside the box.
We get some good news and the complaining ramps up.
Today IMO was a monumental turning point. Good luck to our new leadership team and those that have weathered the incredible storm. In the coming weeks we will hear many stories that will distract us from the goal of QASP. I have a new energy to stay focused to my investment with QASP.
It would be nice to get the QASP board back on track to supporting true dialogue between old and new QASP investors. Don't forget the past but don't linger in it either.
Dean is gone, I'm sure not all the skeletons are out of the closet, but by focusing on the future of QASP we can hopefully bring in new investors.
Agree
Hey if she runs then buying with some confirmation is fine with me. If it pulls back next week or in near future then you could loose 20-50 percent of your investment. Congrats for those who are in.... Nice run today. We have a long road out of BK status.
Yup, me too. Powder is dry but volume isn't crazy yet.
Thats what I am waiting for....the Q attached to the symbol. BLOKA is on the map of many people. When the whales jump in with big blocks I will follow. My gut says she wants to run but my experience says wait. I'm honest to a fault but thats my trading style. I never hold q out of chap 11. Pilgrims pride, cemjq, smurfit to name a few great runners. CEMJQ went to the 02 prior to the $1.50 run. PP ran to over 10 dollars after the q removed. Might wait for the pull back on this run.. hope i'm right. glta
well last two days we were green on volume so we have some accumulation and now resistance points to hold pps.
You could be right. Not trying to bash. Calculated risk on the bk play. glta
Nice uptick if it holds I'll jump in but am thinking entry in the 3s or 2s
Thanks that's my thoughts. Been waiting for the official BK. Eyes wide open, power dry, just looking for the entry signal.
My chart skills are questionable - On the Fast Stochastics we crossed over and are overbought and should be heading down a bit more. Any chart people have an opinion on this???
thanks
Can't control how or when a person leaves a stock. You can be ready to pick up those shares being sold.
Creating doubt about the viability of a company never helps the PPS. On the other hand silence by a company can help or hurt a company. JR and V did what they did and am sure they had good reason. That is why we are at the reset point. We could go either way. IMO behind doors the fight is on and it may take some time but will flush out. I continue to add as when I can. GLTA.
If the AS is maxed which it is then we are seeing selling from- flippers and people leaving. This isn't ground breaking news. However, a sizable group could start to move QASP if they want IMO.
Fine, So we have a new mod. Well qasp is a different stock at this point. At this point, I am treating this as a reset. Lot's of confusion, lot's of lies, and lots of money to be made. The snakes here are big but the bed of grass hiding the snakes is very high. Where there are snakes there is something of worth. I'll just sit tight and keep adding to my position when opportunities present themselves. Either way something is going to happen and at this price it's worth the gamble and wait.
robotrader - No, I am long. I tend to trade long. No games here. I call it as I see it. Right now the pps is ugly. But, i see it as a buying opportunity.
Flippers can and have made good money at these levels. I'm sure they will be filling their tanks. I am long so no flipping.
Smart money - guess it's how you look at it.... to each their own.
Don't know if I'm smart but I continue to buy when I can. I hope I am smart.
Guess we will all find out at some point
Added Friday and holding strong too.
1.5 mil just went
Guess it comes down to trust. It's not that I distrust either of the two, I guess I just see scotch as a straight shooter with a long history on this board. IMO
Plus, I am a strong believer that it is best not to piss where you eat.
It's all over the board. It's Friday so some are leaving taking their profits for sure.
Well looks like a bk stock soon. Been watching for entry point.
Blockbuster Inc. (BLOKA, BLOKB), amid recent competition from Netflix Inc. (NFLIX) and Coinstar Inc.'s (CSTR) Redbox, is preparing to file for bankruptcy next month, according to people familiar with the matter, the Los Angeles Times reports. Executives from Blockbuster and its senior debt holders last week held meetings with six major movie studios to discuss their intention to enter a "pre-planned" bankruptcy in mid-September, said several people familiar with the situation. The video-rental company is hoping to use its time in Chapter 11 to restructure a debt load of nearly $1 billion and escape leases on 500 or more of its 3,425 stores in the U.S. Maintaining the support of Hollywood's film studios will be critical so that the company can continue to rely upon an uninterrupted supply of new DVDs.
sure and the 250000 @ .005 was a weak attempt too". Give it a rest.
Shuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. I need you to not pump this my funds aren't cleared yet.
There is a number of people who are "low profile" these days. Maybe they have left, or maybe they are quietly adding at crazy low prices!
