Finished my research on "Gray Legion". It wont be called that. The title has been changed. It is now called "Seeing Things" (working title) and hopefully will air on SyFy channel in 2012 (thats what it says). Story has changed a bit but it will still be a good series. As you can see, it is listed on Scotts page.

David Slack and Gabrielle Stanton — Writers
In Seeing Things (working title, from Fox Television Studios), “a cop becomes a ghost after his violent death and the only person who can help close his last case is a socially awkward man who realizes that the hallucinations he’s had all his life may not be a figment of his imagination.”
is that all Kimble? I will send these off for you just as you said here.

Slimewise, got yours already.
Thanks- Keep going.
IMO
I personally think it will be a TV series. The concept to me seems better if you have the CIA spy ghost spread out over a weekly series, not just crammed into a 2 hr movie. Not sure really what is happening yet. This is still early DD- just trying to fill some holes and follow up on what little bit of info was in the PR. When I know more, Ill put it here.
I would not mind adding it to Platinums list of movies/tv but until they say more, Im stuck with what I find and speculate on.
IMO
I see that Gray Legion is listed in that PR (consolidated in the TV group) Here is what I found so far. I will keep looking to see if there is more and wait for the official word on this new project Platinum has. IMO
Grey Legion created by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg
A top-secret agency has found a way to force ghosts to carry out covert missions... whether they want to or not. Now one of these unwilling spies will do anything to reclaim his soul—and be reunited with the love he thought he had lost forever.

Yea, it does look like Platinum is planning on growing. So much for the chants of "nothing happening, Scott running towards the door, and bankrupt coming". Oh and if you have not heard about Platinum's Comic Book Challenge, looks like it is coming back and will be awesome. Guess I will ask this question to Scott.

Platinum raises coin from Dutchess
$10 mil to grow library, develop titles
By Marc Graser
Platinum Studios, the comicbook publisher behind "Cowboys & Aliens," has raised $10 million from Dutchess Capital that it will use to grow its library and develop titles as films, TV shows and other entertainment properties.
The round of equity is being provided through Dutchess Opportunity Fund II over the next three years. Platinum already had a relationship with the investment manager after securing $5 million from the company that has offices in Boston, New York, London, Seoul and Beijing.
Dutchess managing director Douglas Leighton said the company believed in Platinum's "efforts to grow the company."
Those efforts include relaunching several of Platinum's books, as well as putting more marketing coin behind the titles as they're released across various digital platforms.
Some of the new funding will also be used to adapt properties with producers in Hollywood, and launch web series around them, for example.
Platinum owns a library of more than 5,000 comicbook characters. Although the "Cowboys & Aliens" film was produced by Universal, Paramount, DreamWorks and Imagine Entertainment, Platinum retained the rights to publish new comicbooks, produce games and mobile apps, sell toys and set up licensing deals around the property. Film quietly crossed the $100 million mark in the U.S.
The company is currently prepping to relaunch "Atlantis Rising" as a comicbook series. Platinum now has the film rights to the project back after DreamWorks was developing a bigscreen version of the sci-fier with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman and Len Wiseman once attached to direct.
The new "Atlantis Rising," a pet project Platinum CEO Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, would focus on characters and storylines that would translate better as a film.
"We are working on a relaunch that specifically ties in with what we want to do for a feature film," Rosenberg said.
Other projects Platinum is developing around Hollywood include "Unique," at Disney with "Harry Potter" producer David Heyman; "Vice," with producer Andrew Lazar and Top Cow Prods; "Blood Nation," with producer Alexandra Milchan; and, "Nightfall," with William Stuart, exec producer of "The Rock".
Platinum is also developing "MetaDocs" for TV with Syfy, FremantleMedia and Landscape Entertainment, and "Gray Legion," with Robert W. Cort, producer of "Three Men and a Baby," "Runaway Bride," "Mr. Holland's Opus."
Rosenberg produced "Cowboys & Aliens" with Steven Spielberg, Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Kurtzman and Orci.
Through the 36-month term of the agreement with Dutchess, Platinum has the option to sell shares of its common stock to Dutchess issued under the equity line of financing at share prices to be determined based on market prices in accordance with an agreed-upon formula. Platinum Studios will control the timing and amount of any sales of shares sold to Dutchess.

IMO, I feel that Scott and crew reads this board and I would assume (yes I know what it means) that alot of the issues we discuss here will be addressed. However, it does not hurt to bring up the question again if you feel it is really needs to be addressed.
With his legal team there, he can review the questions beforehand and give us the correct answer that does not violate SEC rules.
I did not see a open mike question session at the end of the call in the PR. Might be better this way. Does not create the fiasco other conference calls get.

Scott Rosenberg, Creator of Cowboys & Aliens, talks interactive and box office
Scott Rosenberg is the CEO of Platinum Studios and creator of Cowboys & Aliens franchise. The movie, which opened this summer starred Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford, started off as a comic book that was made popular a few years ago but had a long history before that. “I was about 13. My imagination was a little crazy. There were cowboy guns but Indian stuff and sci-fi stuff barely existed.”
Rosenberg is no stranger to comic books. At age 15, he started his own mail order company. “I realized I had addiction to comic books. The only way to keep buying them is to sell them and if I sell them, why not mark them up? So, I started taking up booths at comic conventions.”
Although Rosenberg doesn’t hold any writing credits to the movie, he still stands by the project. To date, Cowboys & Aliens has grossed $100 million domestically, and $171 million worldwide on a reported $163 million budget. Rosenberg shrugged off reports that Cowboys & Aliens was a box office disaster. “It hasn’t opened in all countries yet and $160 million is a horrible bomb” he says sarcastically, “and that doesn’t even include TV, DVD, and merchandising.”
Cowboys & Aliens is, of course, now a franchise. “There’s playing cards, interactive games and educational app. The app is called Cowboys & Aliens: The Kids. There was a massive deadline. Everyone told me we couldn’t make that deadline. So, I ended up writing my first children’s book ever. Finding an artist was hard because I wanted key characters that you can see their personality in their face, even though they were younger. So, there is a Cowboy kid and an Indian kid.” With the app, you can insert your own picture, share it on Facebook, and benefits the Starlight Foundation.
“You can take the colors out and color it, and save it with your painting. You can take pictures of the face and they fit pretty well into the characters. The kids can do their own narration too.” Cowboys & Aliens: The Kids app (as seen above) is available at the iTunes store.
Cowboys & Aliens hits store shelves on DVD & Blu-Ray on December 6th, 2011.

Anybody seen "Valhalla Entertainment's" new website.
And we all know who Gayle Anne is.

Look down at the bottom of the page. 2 of Platinum's movies listed. The only thing I think is wrong is the 2011 date but that's an easy fix.

BTW, if some of you saw that new series "Grimm", does that not remind you of something. A detective that has to deal with creatures of the night, protecting them and the public all the while solving the case. Hummmm. Sound familiar.
Dylan Dog would make a great series like this. Would be nice to see other networks looking for something similar to this series. Similar..... but better.

That is IF you assume it is about Platinum Studios. Dans blog gives an overview of what goes on in the industry and his experiences. This kind of stuff goes on everywhere IMO. For us, our concern at this point is where is the news, company profits and getting this stock to go up so we can make money. I know there are other concerns that I have not brought up. I leave those for our special naysayers.
Dans blog is good reading. Check it out.

The very, very odd tale of Platinu–er Goldmine Studios
http://www.comicsbeat.com/2011/10/28/the-very-very-odd-tale-of-platinu-er-goldmine-studios/
There is alot of free advertising Platinum can do. Scott just has to make the calls and make the time, or at least pull out the whip and get the advertising group to step it up.
IMO
I have not checked lately to see if he is still racing with C&A on the hood. It may have been replaced with something else by now.
IMO
I think alot of us do this sort of advertising. Some of us post positive news, others just the opposite, and one really good fan who makes his own shirt. We do what we can with the information we are supplied, but Im with you. Im sure others here agree.
IMO
Agreed.
Got a nice shirt from a Mexican restaurant that I wear from time to time and people ask me about it, even though I only ate there once (got the shirt free). The point being they asked. They may have checked it out if they were in the area.
Probally why that guy made the home made shirt. Bet people will ask too. Like that 'wheres the beef" commercial. LOL
IMO Even a bumper sticker would be nice. Cheap to make and effective advertising.
Dogg
Im surprised it already isnt out there. I have seen some companys that also have their own name branded on their shirts. Maybe add a character under it or on the back to spice up the look and pump them out cheaply as promomotional items. Got to get that advertisement dept working.
Nice gain for today. Hope it does the same tommorrow.
IMO
Cool, I think someone else mentioned it on Scotts facebook page on what he should wear to the signings. Looks like it is the same guy that made this mention. Scott should get the rights and sell it in the store.
IMO only
I would guess world wide since anyone can order from the net. But it is limited orders, so I guess these will be collectables. first come first served.
I would like to see figures in the lower end range, like 15 bucks or less, especially the alien figure. Scott should give Todd McFarlane a call. He makes some cool, well detailed toys, maybe even some Dylan Dog figures.
Platinum should make some toys based on the comic book characters that they have and sell those. Work out a deal with a vendor. Dont just waiting for the movie related merchandise, you may not see squat and no profit there.
Christmas will be good if they can get all merchandise out to the vendors and get the word out to the public. I know there is more merchandise than is posted on the Platinum store site,(wheres the 2012 calendars, cards, Atlantis Rising stuff, etc) but they need to update the store with the latest merchandise. "YOU CANT SELL IT IF YOU CANT SEE IT".

I like to be positive and hopeful and say yes (just my opinion and thats just my view of things), but that is a question no one can really answer. We just dont know what the future holds.
IMO
Everyone wants the quick buck.
This stock does not have enough volume or people to do daytrading IMO. We need good news so people can see what Platinum has to offer. In the meantime, we wait.
IMO
Response answer to number 1 can be used with number 2. I dont buy that arguement. This is way too cheap to sell at this price. But we are all just speculating here anyway. Without proof, no one knows for sure.
Well, we all know where Kimble and a few others stand on this issue. Hopefully your not walking down that road. You have credability here, and I would like to keep it that way.
Were all frustrated with the share price, lack of news and constant accucations and attacks on BA, CEO and others. It will get better. Alot of things happening with Platinum.
