really- you would think with lower energy costs, they would be able to be more production
I feel you pain- I bought it at $42ish
But, it will get better, lol
12/17/2014- ***TRANSOCEAN LTD
US LISTED: FROM DIVIDEND: AT $17.9204 PER SHARE
Yep- Bought ELP at 12.22 just now. 8% divvy, trading at only a P/E of 7.6 and has a book value over $18. Looks like support is holding for the third time at this range
I agree- do you think airlines? With the lower costs of fuel, maybe they are the play for the next few months.
I was looking at shippers- they are near all time lows also
Good morning- looks like oil broke support: After falling under $50 a barrel for the first time in five years yesterday, WTI crude is back below the key price mark, down 2.4% at $48.83/bbl. WTI is now off 54% from its 2014 high set in mid-June as it continues to tumble due to a global supply glut. Brent also hit fresh five-and-a-half-year lows today, dropping 2.6% to $51.72 a barrel.

And the walls come crumbling down- My portfolio today, Ouch:
BCE 45.08 -1.40%
BHP 45.69 -3.89%
BP 36.28 -4.83%
BRCM 42.37 -1.65%
CSX 35.14 -1.98%
DUK 83.00 -1.25%
KO 42.29 +0.36%
MSFT 46.38 -0.80%
PFE 31.18 -0.48%
RIG 16.84 -7.04%
SYY 39.39 -1.15%
TCK 13.22 -3.85%
VLY 9.46 -1.77%
WFC 53.22 -2.71%
How low can it go? Extending the drop from its lowest close since 2009, oil is again on the decline, as record Russian production and the highest Iraqi exports since 1980 add to the concerns of oversupply. Brent crude is down 2.1% at $55.26/bbl, while WTI is down 2% at $51.66. The two oil benchmarks have now lost more than half of their value from peaks hit in mid-2014.
BP is set to lose hundreds of millions of dollars in earnings and dividend income from its 19.75% stake in Rosneft (OTC:RNFTF) as a result of the plunge in crude prices and financial turmoil that has sent the ruble tumbling, FT reports. Rosneft accounted for nearly a third of BP’s (NYSE:BP) total oil and gas output for the first nine months of 2014, and the loss is expected to weigh heavily on BP’s overall profits in the fourth quarter.
I like the store- they recently built one close by. But, I think the sstock is fairly valued at $50ish
Looking for the bottom here- I'll be adding

VLY- Valley National Bancorp Announces Sale Of Branch For Net Gain Of $17.8 Million And Prepayment Of Borrowings at PR Newswire Mon 11:31am
Suh has been criticized in the media and by other players for his aggressive style of play and has been fined a total of $216,875 by the league for four violations in the first four years in his career.
Germany expects low oil prices to boost its economic growth by 0.2%-0.3% next year, Der Spiegel reported, citing an internal economy ministry memo. The Europe's largest economy expects to expand by 1.3% in 2015 after predicted growth of 1.2% this year. Over the weekend, Germany also announced plans to build out its network of charging stations for battery-powered cars in the nation, with the goal of having 1M electric cars on the road by 2020.
Greek politicians failed to elect a president in a key vote this morning, paving the way for a snap election in early 2015. The vote could bring the left-wing Syriza party to power, jeopardizing an international bailout. Greece's main stock market fell over 10% on the news, while the country's 10-year bond yields spiked above 9%. Ahead of the vote, the euro slipped to a near-28-month low against the dollar.
Based on this- I expect oil prices to stabilize here, pending any major events
Liquid Fuels Consumption
Total U.S. liquid fuels consumption rose by 470,000 bbl/d (2.5%) in 2013, the largest increase since 2004. Consumption of hydrocarbon gas liquids (HGL) registered the largest gain, increasing by 190,000 bbl/d (8.5%). In 2014, total liquid fuels consumption is expected to remain unchanged, with declines in the consumption of HGL, residual fuel oil, and other oils offsetting increases in distillate fuel and jet fuel. Total consumption is forecast to grow by 140,000 bbl/d in 2015, with HGL and distillate consumption accounting for most of the growth.
Motor gasoline consumption grew by 160,000 bbl/d (1.9%) in 2013, the largest increase since 2004. EIA expects gasoline consumption to remain mostly unchanged during the forecast period, as modest increases projected for 2014 are offset by small declines in 2015. This projection shows that continued improvements in new-vehicle fuel economy offset highway travel growth.
Distillate fuel consumption increases by 120,000 bbl/d (3.1%) in 2014, reflecting colder-than-average first-quarter weather and economic growth. Distillate consumption rises by an additional 90,000 bbl/d (2.2%) in 2015. Some of the growth in distillate fuel consumption in 2015 comes from Annex VI to the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL Annex VI), which is an international agreement that generally requires the use of fuels below 1,000 parts per million sulfur by marine vessels in most U.S. waters, unless alternative devices, procedures, or compliance methods are used to achieve equivalent emissions reductions.
Residual fuel oil consumption, which falls to an estimated 240,000 bbl/d in 2014, is projected to decline further to 210,000 bbl/d in 2015, which would be the lowest level on record.
