Go to this page, hit your state, then city......... a list of local courses will appear, pick one......... an entire map of the course for each hole will appear giving yardages, and allows you to place each of your typical shots onto the hole map.
I'm playing Penn Run in the morning http://golfcourseportal.com/db_clients/11565.php#

Nothing fancy, but the idea is you can goof around with your want-to-play list or place your best shots on your home course, etc

Using the study optimization feature in TradeStation, many, many, many charts were found to have 5-13-8 as the best performing macd available. After pulling out my hair a couple times, I found the %r11 is a quite decent confirmation companion. This template is incredibly simple, making it fast to read as well.
I bet writing a scan would be easy too. hmmmmmmm

FAT DADDY TEMPLATE POST 1..........
Fat Daddy is one I created/discovered some time back. Again, it is dependant of synchronous events. It uses only two studies: macd histogram 5-13-8 and %r11. Oddly, nearly all signals are generated at support/resistance areas.
%r has two horizontal elevations marked within: -60 (red) and -40 (green).
The long signal is the histogram crossing zero and %r crossing green. The short signal is the macd crossing zero and %r crossing red. All crossings MUST be in the same trend direction and the same exact period.
I used MNG for the template example. Three or more of us are familiar with the stock. I thought a new look might stir interest. Red (short) and green (long) vertical lines identify signals.
Again, synchronous technical events make the world go 'round....... that and nice bottom girls.
AROON SETUP POST 6.........
Here is the Aroon setup scan for weekly charts using StockCharts. There is one problem in it I have not figured out. The scan will offer daily charts in result. You will have to call for the offered chart and convert to a weekly chart.
You will see the scan incorporates daily and weekly data. Thus far, replacing the elements to all weekly data queries will never afford scan results. Beats me!
[type = stock]
and [country = us]
and [weekly sma(20,daily volume) > 800000]
and [weekly sma(60,daily close) < 5]
and [weekly macd hist(8,17,9) >= 0]
and [weekly aroon up(20) crosses weekly aroon down(20)]

My BALL TRADE VARIATION........
This is a quickie. And one for intraday utility. I don't want to hog the board here either. You guys jump on anytime you care. I wanted to say something about this miniature discovery before I forget it.
This is a variation of my Ball Trade setup (red arrow). You would want to use 60 minute charts or less, mainly because setups will be more frequent. The ball trade (named for a ball following a fall line on a ski trail) uses an apparent top that is matched by a second candle. Once the low of the candle previous to the candle of the initial high is broken, you would go short.
The white arrows point to apparent highs or lows at bb's or midlines but having single candles, and usually in a hammer or hammer-like configuration. Using the same principle as the Ball Trade (and similar to candle trading), you would employ the previous candle to the hammer-like point as a guide - go with the trend once its high or low is broken.
To me, using bb and midline as a reference or boundary is important. Intraday analysis was being discussed Friday, and I thought this may be helpful on occasion.

For some reason, the arrows are not printing. If you want the chart, email easymedicine@lycos.com
speculation, of course.........
but what a point it would make if true!

Candle confirmation template finds an otcbb stock to watch - ain't fair, but what an ultimate test! I gotta think of a name to give this thing.
Once I learn more about it, I'll share it around here.
AROON SETUP POST 5......
Here is a scan for StockCharts.com in finding the setup in a daily chart, long American stocks $5 and less, and average daily volume of 200,000 shares or more:
[type = stock]
and [country = us]
and [daily sma(20,daily volume) > 200000]
and [daily sma(60,daily close) < 5]
and [daily macd hist(8,17,9) >= 0]
and [daily aroon up(20) crosses daily aroon down(20)]
No filters are included. You need the "Extra" subscription to use this.
sorry playa..........
I couldn't help it (lol)
Red line is aroon setup short.
White line is the template you have to short - bear engulfing per guidelines.
AROON SETUP POST 4..........
Of course, there are better tools or setups, like the Hard Easy (blue and yellow cci), but few are as simple as this. Note too, while you see a Hard Easy here, there are governing rules that qualify these particular intersections. They are not just lines flying through the air. So, user beware.
On occasion this aroon setup will enter on or near the top of an early price wave. Addition of the price trend line filter will reduce this. And like anything else you should employ stops in your trades.
By observing other technical elements, such as divergence, candlestick configurations, etc, at the signal point can add insurance to your trade.
I'm tired and losing my thoughts so I better quit for now. More on all this will come in the next day or two.
AROON SETUP POST 3............
A very current weekly chart with a trend line filter suggests ASTM is going to poop and get it in the longer term. Will it? I don't know, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
Note studies are overbought. Only three things can occur: It can compress or it reloads or it falls. And to thump the book again, compression is a book topic. I'm thinking ASTM reloads or compresses here.
playa....... see the template setup i sent ya here in this weekly chart per mid August and March 2003? ooooooooo baby.
If users could overlay or set the daily side-by-side to the weekly they could probably see the dominoe relativity I spoke of earlier. Same should apply to the 60 minute and daily, etc.
AROON SETUP POST 2............
I hope to use the same stock in these demonstrations. It just so happens something current is underway in ASTM. More on that later.
One filter you can use is a simple trend line on price. An intersection at or near the synchronous aroon event helps insure a better signal. Again, quality of timeliness can prove important. The first long signal, again, lacks this quality in the trend line.
AROON SETUP POST 1.............
Much of the time you will see my posted stock charts offer the below collection of studies: Aroon20; %r14; cci14; ss9-3; macd8-17-9; adi. There are multiple reasons for this particular combination, but this Aroon setup is one. This single post describes the basic signal for the Aroon setup. Some of you have seen or heard me discuss this, but probably not to the extent afforded the next day or two.
Of course, this setup has relative consequences. That is, a 60 minute chart lends rewards different than a daily chart, and so on. At the same time, users will often note the setup dominoes upward through chart durations. If a signal is realized in the 60 minute chart, the chances are fair to good it will be realized in the daily chart as well. Therefore, the scope of the trade can be weeks to months and perhaps longer using weekly or monthly charts.
The template uses three basic studies: aroon20, %r14, and macd8-17-9.
The basic signal is an aroon intersection; a %r crossover of -50; and a macd intersection on the same trend side of zero or a crossover of zero. All of these events MUST be in the same direction of trend and synchronized in time by no more than 6 periods (fewer if possible).
I have developed a few filters that improve the the setup accuracy. Some of those will be introduced later. I have written some advanced scans for StockCharts.com that I will share later too.
Below are two long signals for a cheapie, ASTM. You can see the better synchronized event produced more than the other. This topic is discussed in my book btw. If you don't know me, you need know now I am a huge proponent of synchronous events.
Anywho....... Here is the first offering of a mini-series on the aroon setup.
