Thanks! Bought the stock as a chart play and didnt realize that.
My eyes have been glued to level 2 all morning. This is some heart stopping action!! LOL!
Seriously, any idea when we might expect some news from trials?
Good for you! Dont laugh too hard though, one of these days you are going to flip and then chase. Won't always work out this way!
You have an option in Scottrade call trailing stop limit. Set your stop loss price there, if it goes down to or below that price it will trigger a sell.
Scottrade does not accept market orders on penny stocks. However you can put in a limit order which will trigger a buy at or below your designated limit price. The limit price is simply saying this is the most I want to pay for xyz stock. If the price is lower than your limit price it will be filled accordingly. As far as selling try a trailing stop price which will trigger a sale at or below your designated price. Hope this helps.
Ha! Thanks!! I want to make bank bro!!!
Everytime I see that it reminds me of the freakin California wine mixer! LOL
Very real, still a friend today.. think what you want
Why would that be funny? I had a friend who bought 100,000 shares of eln back in 2001 for $1.20 per share. Rode it through all the highs and lows for two years, didnt trade a share. Sold it two years later for just under $30.00 bucks a share. Nothing funny about that!!
Yes, I do understand that. I was curious about the dynamics of it I guess which are an unknown. If debt was paid off with stock, if an 8k would come out after the shares that BD held were sold.
So is there an advantage with the capital gains tax laws to hold a stock for a year there? Would you pay the same amount of tax if you cashed it in the same year, or more like a straight tax we would have here?
Thanks for your reply by the way!! I was just curious as if it would be a factor for anybody living in Germany to hold a stock longer term that they believed in.
I was curious about your laws in Germany? Do you have a tax advantage on keeping a stock for a year like we have in this country? I know on 99 percent of these penny stocks the best case scenerio is in and out, but I think atrn is abit different. Curious to see if you had a capital gains tax there and if it impacted your decison on when to sell one you believed would appreciate?
Ha! I am counting on ATRN to have that kind of heart!! Regardless too many good things happening to keep this one down under a buck for too long. Month or two at most!
Hmmm.... my impression was that ATRN issued them the shares to do as they wanted. Obviously they shorted it all the way down, now why could they not have also kept the last 14 million shares and sold them yesterday to be applied towards debt repayment?
If we find out what many suspect on here.. that BD has dumped the last of the shares to pay off debt... the confirmation with an 8k would send this to a buck in a heartbeat. JMO
Not sure what you are getting at?? I am long on this stock as well and was merely questioning someones short position? Maybe you meant to reply to someone elses post?
I have seen you post several times before about shorting atrn with Indian investors. Can I ask you which Indian investors? It seems that you have always been very vague about their identity? Do they have a name? American Indians? Or from India?
We will churn it till its smooth like fresh butter while your gone!
I hear ya! I wished that as well, could have doubled my shares today. And I was up nearly 80k on this stock before the meltdown. Oh well, am sure we will make it back and much more soon, I am not in a hurry.
Bingo!! I am looking for an 8k by Friday afternoon right after close that says ATRN now has zero debt.
Imagine how that would be salivated on over the three day weekend!
About 30 million shares traded the last hour and a half today? Now that was a well orchestrated dump!
Great speculation! I have been thinking the same thing.. if so we are going to get a heck of a 8k shortly!!
Whether it does or not, the stock is still dirt cheap at these levels and due for a big bounce very soon. Chart looks great!
Does this mean we will have to wait a day longer to reach a dollar pps? LOL... What a day!!
Agreed
I think atrn will amaze people how fast it will rise in the next couple of months. This entire run up has been accomplished with a minimal amount of news. There will be a rash of news in the nexttwo months. JMO $2.00 -$3.00 even by May. Think of an 8k stating debt has been significantly paid down. A good 4th quarter financials in March, followed by the first quarter financials in April. We know that revenues are increasing, no Kazza to burden the bottem line, and this company is in a hot sector.
There are several stocks that have risen from the depths of the ashes to multi dollars within a short time. With positive news, financials.. I am betting this one could do the same.
Little good news with this chart, it is a 5 bagger!
The calm before the storm my friend.
With it trading this strong in February with no new 8ks or 4th or 1rst quarter earnings? Bet it will be close to $2.00 by May.
Waiting on news from the company I would say. The chart looks great, just needs a spark!
Good answer! I am thinking about doing the same. LOL
Personally I like someone that is enthusiastic based on his or her due dilligence.. and not someone who is blindly pumping! You seem to have allot of info on this stock.. and I am new to it so would like to know more about it. All I know is according to the charts, it looks like a heck of a bounce play. And I play the charts..
I am really interested in knowing what you have heard that would cause a spike in the volume and price by Monday. Care to share? I wont hold you to it, I am already in.
Great to have you back in Pk! You always had allot of great research and was a very positive advocate of ATRN. The best of this ride is yet to come, and it is good to see you back on board!
Very little volume today.. still think it will close just above .13 cents. Next week we should start to see higher volume and an uptrend in price.
Day to day gains are great, it is exciting to watch trading accounts grow! (Up about 40k on this one so far) If atrn continues on their road to recovery.. as I am convinced they are... I will hold this for at least one year. Don't know if this has been mentioned.. but consider the tax laws on stocks held less than one year. Straight taxes will be applied on the gains versus a 15 percent (last time I knew) capital gains tax on stocks held for more than one year. Atrn.. will more than likely appreciate dramatically as it continues to recover. A big difference in gains and taxes on attrn shares that are cashed in on a short term basis.
I'm in at .11, huge bounce play setting up nicely!
.35-.50 soon! jmho
Can I ask you, how much time did you spend studying charts before you became proficient at it? I understand some things when I look at a chart, but obviously not the deeper trends. Curious as to your background? Have you always been involved with trading?
Thanks for your insight.. I am always very interested in reading your posts, and remember your positive affirmation of this stock when it was in the 0.085 range.
I would imagine that most people here are investors and not flippers... since it is not really feasible to flip at these levels. Silly to sell at these levels....
Barchart? Who would pay attention to that silly thing? Why not flip a coin first?
Barchart has listed atrn as a sell for the past few months.. just today they listed it as a buy. Lame!!
I think people that are new to trading look at those sites for guidance. Agree, complete waste of time and usually can take a contrarian view of what they post. Flipping a coin is more reliable.
Thinking atrn might consolidate today.. now not so sure. What are your thoughts. I know consolidation periods are good for the stock.. but never like them anyway! LOL
