Note: I try to base my own trading decisions on my own DD, research, evaluation, constant re-evaluation, insight and observations. Current UWNK action is short-term price action trading in the overall scheme of things (try to think longer intervals with stock reactions with perspective to the company results and company/products potential). I believe most of the true FMV of this diverse company has yet to be priced in.
Of course, everyone else has to do their own DD, and then draw and constantly evaluate their own conclusions and then place their own bets accordingly. All just IMO (not advice), we all make (and live with) our own investment and/or trading choices. I Wish You All the best in your own investment and/or trading decisions, I've obviously made mine...
Full Disclosure: Currently Holding (Long) 111,000 UWNK Shares.
Zac: Our Personal and Mutual Goals:
I knew the goal of the 'report' - "you hope to sell such reports for a fee,..."(I stated such in my prior post as you did in your #4021).
As far as goals, Please remember the Goal of this Board is not to promote you. And if UWNK investors (who may also frequent here) make money on their money they have 'at risk', that is not a BAD Thought. It's Why we Buy...
FWIW: We agree on focus on the company, and the stock price will follow, and I have stated those same points in my own past posts (reading a posters past posts speaks volumes).
And yes, you can call yourself whatever you may please..., but it still does not make you one my fellow LongFellow. As far as my other "silly" comment, I did not expect you to understand that (and no, I am not going to explain it now). Nuff Said...
Peace...
Research Report by Analyst or Copy and Paste
In post #4500 an author says: “any comments?”
OK, since you asked…I have a few.
To: Zac Bissonnette
To: Kevin Kelly
Tread carefully young men. Frankly I was going to stay silent on the talk about your “report”, however now one of you are now making accusations about some folks on this board “pumping” a stock for gain. This tone you are taking makes me speak up…
I read your collaborative ‘report’ twice on Saturday Night via web sites and your own pdf on-line which was available at the time. You then clearly referred to the article written as a “Research Report” and to yourself as “Analyst” and “Co-Analyst”.
ALSO:
The wording I read on Saturday Night included the reference mentioned BY BrianHall17 in post #4504 about the recent “change from $1.30 to $1.50” in the stock price and that new UWNK buyers should Wait for an anticipated “pullback” in the price to buy UWNK Stock at this point in time.
I read your ‘report’ wording Now on Sunday (24 hours later) and now the RESEARCH conclusion you have reached has now drastically and strangely changed 180 degrees to it’s current very favorable valuation wording, followed by a Sunday Recommendation of “speculative buy”. What happened to standing by your stated research and conclusions? Within 24 hours, your conclusions from the same “research” certainly reversed direction.
I would ask what Firm gave you the Title of Analyst, but I will not waste the question. I note none of your ‘Research’ you stated changed, however your conclusions sure have. And with Regard to the ‘research’, very little is reworded from various original text from other web sites, as you made really great use of the quick copy and paste approach as opposed to original writing (in journalism terms, they like to use the word plagiarizing).
I also read you hope to sell such reports for a fee, at least that was your stated intentions. I realize the NET makes it easy for any kid with a connection to be an instant web based publisher, but that does not make you an Analyst, nor what you may write or may COPY form a Research Report. I said in the beginning to be careful, as most owners and their companies, investors and the SEC do not like folks who maybe misrepresenting themselves when it comes down to personal gain.

"You must like what went on with the stock while you were out."
Yes, quite nice, of particular note the Bid and Ask Almost matched at the high of the day. That... coupled with the last few days of high Stock Volume bodes very well for next week (not to mention CNBC Special #4302, Fortune Mag, impending GO, impending Franchise info, etc.).
Nice you are almost at a double take soon...
Accounting for all the shares I have bought from
.45 cents to $1.65, am happy with my $1.30 average.
May kick in another 10-15K Cash before the GO occurs.
This is the type of story you 'buy until you sell' all
the way up. The only question LATER ON will be how
high is high? - After the Franchise Plans occur, we all will
have a fair feel for where this is headed over time. Nice
to get an early start on it now before All is well known.

Why Hate...?
He missed the lower price shots at it

He then missed that price as it climbed.
Now he is trying to get it filled at this price

Regarding Post 4290: "what is this CNBC special?" Question
CNBC is currently running CNBC ad's about it on CNBC!

As to a Nolan Interview - Just Intelligent Speculation IMO
Others have posted that CNBC was filming at uWink recently.
I had speculated it was for Interview 'background' video clips.

"uWink believes that the uWink Bistro will provide an exciting new venue and market for its products. uWink’s proprietary technology creates significant barriers to entry, including cost of development, time to market and decades of game play experience."

The Story of uWink
From our fun, casual games, to our legendary leader, uWink is simply about fun and food. We make it easy for people to interact, have fun, and enjoy a delicious meal at a reasonable price. uWink is an entertainment dining experience that can’t be had anywhere else. It’s not a game arcade or a pool , an interactive, social restaurant where at the table touch screens let you be in control of your meal and your fun.
The Food
At the center of uWink is our food. It’s fresh and made just for you. Ordered at the table on touch screen terminals, served quickly and accurately by runners. No waiting for a waitperson, no misunderstandings in the kitchen. No flagging down your server to get more water. Our signature bistro fare includes pizza, burgers, salads, appetizers and shareable desserts. Tasty and fresh always! Our lunch specials make grabbing a meal (and some fun) a snap. There’s something for everyone to enjoy - any time of day.
The Place
Our look and feel is dynamic – ever-changing iCandy creates a hip and sophisticated environment. Warm booths and a lively bar area make uWink a comfortable and entertaining place to spend an evening, and our speedy services make uWink an excellent place to grab a quick and delicious lunch. There is an immediate connection with uWink that so many feel when they first walk in the door. You're immediately engaged in interactive fun and surrounded by a sophisticated, hip and warm atmosphere complete with iCandy inviting you to engage and enjoy, while savoring the innovative flavors of our menu. uWink offers a premium convenience where you always feel welcome and where you always have a great time.
The Business
At uWink we have created a culture that is both guest-centered and performance-based. We have a commitment to delivering a premium convenience experience to our consumers, while operating our business in a disciplined, strategic, focused, and results-oriented way. We have built a team of experienced leaders and a strong operating business model, and act with passion to create excellence for our teams and our investors.
Our Growth
From one restaurant in the Los Angeles area, we plan on lively growth through both company owned restaurants and franchising. The uWink story continues to unfold as we open more restaurants, and execute on delivering our promise that uWink is simply about great food and good fun.
uWink: According to My Friend
And I Quote Him (from his email Nov 6th):
"I can tell you that 95% of the tables are up and running, with 5 at the bar. You've got to think in 'layers'. Everyday the tech wizards are adding more layers onto the system. Anyone who went to the site a week ago, won't believe what has been added. Every week it's going to get better and better."

A Night at uWink
Posted by Samosa Mel on Monday November 06th 2006
“NOLAN!”
The founder of Atari and Chuck E. Cheese glances over at us, somewhat incredulously.
“Nolan, c’mere, c’mere!” We are so excited…not ten minutes earlier, we were interrogating our “runner” about Nolan Bushnell: How often is he in? Is he coming in tonight? Is he cool?
And there he is. He smiles broadly and walks over to the table. We all start stammering and gushing, I grab him and ask him if he’d kindly pose for a picture with me. He agrees, even sits with us for a while and talks about his newest venture, uWink.
uWink is a self described “Media Bar”, the first of a grand global project. Tables are equipped with touch screen monitors for ordering up drinks, food and games. Nolan Bushnell hopes to network all the franchises once they are established, enabling the customer to play against customers on the other side of the globe.
Tonight, uWink is still in something of a beta phase. We are disappointed that our party of ten must be split into two separate tables and that the touch screens are not yet networked. The touch screens themselves are fun; the customer scrolls through menu options, selects (and modifies when necessary) desired items, swipes a card speed-pass style and waits for food to arrive via a ‘food runner’.
I have no trouble finding modifiers for any item– my Beefeater martini, up with a twist, is my test for the system. Someone complains that there isn’t an option to put “sauce on the side”, only “extra sauce” and “no sauce”. Someone else can’t figure out how to an extra sidecar shot to his margarita. The menu attempts to be crowd-pleasing and aims to ultimately define the menu at the eventual franchises, not unlike California Pizza Kitchen and Wolfgang Puck Express. The “Build Your Own Burger” seems to be the favorite at our tables.
The games are still a work in progress, but we have fun with them just the same. We stuck to word games and trivia and had a great time. The games are intended to engage the table, but presently only hold scores for one player. uWink intends to have many more games in the near future, including Texas Hold’Em and Pictionary.
Nolan Bushnell is a gracious host and checks in on us from time to time. The ‘father of video games’ even flatters us by sending over drinks, offering a job to the lone programmer of the bunch and, my favorite, playing a round of group Pong with us. The entire table leaves uWink elated and anxious to see what’s in store for this ambitious chain. Mr. Bushnell has won our hearts repeatedly throughout our lives, we are certain this time won’t be any different.

Regarding my prior post - Was not responding to sagar in terms of being at a uWink, or communicating with people and/or friends at a uWink over the NET (that Would be a pretty cool deal to facilitate via the Internet). Only speaking in terms of strangers (just the unsavory ones of course) trying to arrange to meet young strangers there...
Again, regarding the positive side of this:
Some sort of imbedded NET communication strategy (to generate additional revenue) with their already available tech, would be a natural evolution for them to implement...
sagar suggestion:
uWink (main) Target demographic is 21-35 year old woman, not tweens. I see a very scary downside to your myspacing suggestion which is that uWink may Then become known by, and frequented by sexual predators, who are known to be targeting teens on myspace.
husslers friend:
The Ask is now $1.31 - He may be chasing it up soon...
May I suggest breaking that 40K into (4) 10K AON orders.
Prior Post Adjustment - Now Holding 111K UWNK.
Just Had to toss another 1K on the uWink Stock Pile!
Sir Hussler (and whomever it may concern)
Why you are getting so frequently upset at times is somewhat hard to fathom (at least from my point of view). I will presume you have 200K shares and are a Trader for a living (as you have said) so you hopefully will not get upset with me next. However, I know Traders and Brokers well, and they do not publicly react negatively when their selected stocks do not run straight up (because 99% of the time stocks simply Do Not behave that way), and they are conditioned to expect to wait awhile for their anticapated positive results, having first done their DD. I myself (for example) am quite comfortable with currently owning 110K shares of uWink, haveing done my own DD, and continuing to do my own DD. If I was not comfortable, I certainly would not have bought so many shares. If You are not comfortable holding Your shares, then pehaps you should be busy selling them. If you are...all the 'I really wish it was all happening now...' posting will not make anything happen any sooner...
Regarding some of your 'concerns' - In My Opinion:
Their location was chosen well (a westfield mall that fits the restaurant demographics needed and the traffic expected).
The system is stable, they opened this way so that they could work their way through any problems. But remember (as a broker friend of mine has said) "fundamentals always trump technical. The company is paying attention to what's important, which is a great restaurant".
The Grand Opening will occur in due time, mass media output will occur in due time. Franchise plans will occur in due time. And the stock price will reflect uWink value in due time. For now, I am content to trust in the Management of the company I bought into, and to WAIT for these events to occur...otherwise I would not own the stock...
FWIW: It has been stated on this board that CNBC was the crew filming, I would speculate it was for background clips for a future interview with Nolan (which if so, should also occur in due time).
BTW: here is article info on Nolans speaking engagement today.
