The MMPR is STILL law. The ruling has a 6 month suspension to give the Liberals time to re write, unless they appeal? We need to hear the governments response.
And I highly don't CGC is going to join the lawlessness with investors money's. Bad move. This is a historical time. Trudeau has to step up. Every liberal party before has courted voters with this. Time to get it done!
MMPR null and void with a 6 month suspension. Its still the law... For now. Blair nd Trudeau nd philpot better ufkin shine on this one cause the slow timeline just got tossed out the window! The fire is under their a$$ now.
Do what u said. Just like alcohol. Just do it
I agree 100%
They hv 6 months to re write the MMPR. We're in a vacuum now
I'm CGC long, and I very much welcome a slower process, although it pains for folks who want legal RecMj access. Fly by night just won't cut it without proper regulations . The fly by night campaign does more whining than actual discussion. With out proper regulations, it could be a bigger mess than the MMAR. With that said, the major topic is DUI. Everything else has a leg up through Lp's. Mail order to start. Local distribution after seems feasible.
For investment purposes, steady accumulation works for me. I popped my legal cannabis cherry last week, so I'm out of the drug dealers books. God bless them all for carrying the torch so long. Next ones on me.
The accounting practice is to capture the value added in their economic activity. A single seed may be worth $10 ( or a million if its proprietary) , but the plant, once grown produces added value. ~ 70 grams of bud x $10 a gram. Voila $700 value. You put the work in to grow the plant, then you've earned it. Minus expenses. Now do that for your entire operation. It's not arcane. Its accounting for value added against expenses. Now to ship the product out for revenue
Oil sales start tomorrow, feb 25 at 12 noon. So there will be 5 weeks of sales into the q4. Lots of folks have probably already filled their monthly limit and may hv to wait order again.
Umm, so get this Mo Fo's. Just this past weekend I was whining and moaning about the lack of CBD strains in the Tweed shop and that the CBD collection was sold out. Then by Monday it was reloaded into the shop...
Well, as of today, CBD collections is again Sold Out!
I'm telling you, Tweed Farms was a corner stone acquisition and the full 350 k square ft space needs to open up soon.
I noticed Bedrocan isn't listed for sales as yet, but oil production is centralized at smith falls as I understand, so it may be closely following . I've maxed out my posts for the first time
Yeah! That's what I'm talkin bout!
Go CGC!
I'm looking, haven't seen anything yet.
Where's the green monster Escabar?
Miss those unintelligible opinions written all in caps and excessive punctuation?
Oils well that buds well!
Let's keep an eye on the Tweed Shop for the big reveal! Another eye on Twitter for the senate meeting, and a third eye on Allard!
Where's greengold and his magic numbers when you need him
I'm just plugging numbers. 1300 shoppers stores stocking a generic and or branded cannabis product from CGC? What could the daily orders look like ??
This is what I mean when I say the board of directors at CGC are hard at work in the kitchen at that chocolate factory. The article says several major Lp's hv opened the discussion. Hmmmm, wonder which major Lp's thAt might be?
Tweed approached snoops people 24 months ago, long before a liberal majority, and now he's pulling out billboards letting us know where his"chronic " will be .
That's a great article on shoppers. Lots to inference
The senate meeting is FAR from meaningless!
Second month of 2016 and there's a Senate forum I'm our nations capital parliament building on legalizing cannabis! Not if. How.
Jon suggests the liberals have bigger issues to deal with and he's correct. But that doesn't negate the fact that at the present moment there is a team and panel giving this tiny issue serious consideration.
This meeting is a litmus test, fly on the wall moment for all parties. There are many opinions as to the eta timeline of first legal RecMj sale, but the fact remains, the process, I'm all its minor and major significant details, is happening right now!
In fact tomorrow there is a "meaningless " senate panel discussion in Ottawa, where the Mp in custody of this file will be answering questions.
Might as well tune out. Nothing of of interest there.
I didn't know it was a Federal court proceedings. I thought it was municipal. I think the MMAR is toast as folks knew it. There is no longer a need for patients to hire "personal growers". That's what Lp's are for. The fact people are attempting to run ANY industrial scale operation in residential neighbourhoods speaks volumes to their incompetence.
People want to grow their own at home, great. But if you go commercial scale, prepare for a visit.
This seems pretty straight forward to me. Pick an industry, other than a home administration business like day trading, and try to get that lisenced. Tuff luck.
The crown, with evidence from municipalities, law enforcement and Health Canada presented its case. Imo their is a decent framework for reasonable access that can be improved on, without perpetuating the MMAR mess. Clearly cats like franchiser Don brier took full advantage of what should have been a good system, but morphed into a fiasco.
MMAR 10 years ~ 40k registered, frought with problems
MMPR 22 months ~ 40k registered, ironing out the problems and getting better.
Let's keep improving and not get regressive
The MMAR will not continue, it's already scrapped. At best the courts cold rule that patients hv the right to grow and a revision be made to the MMPR, but the old regulations are gone. Imo. I'm interested to see how long the appeal process will be. Another year maybe if it goes that way
It's all in the information releases. Price jump is nice, but a long second to the SEVERAL material fundamental catalysts over the next 48 hrs. Wow! Just Wow!
Haha ha ha!
Go CGC!
Yesterday when Tweed released Bedica 17/0, I'm almost certain it was listed at $7.50. I thought strange because of Bedrocans $5 cap. That lead me to believe Tweed was taking a margin for retail.
Today, it's listed at $5. So now I'm not sure if I had something in my eye and didn't see it right, or that someone called them out on it.
I think it's the right move to stock Bedrocan strains and Bedrocan prices because folks have a synergistic impression of the two companies.
The only justified price difference I can anticipate going forward is between taxes charged on RecMj and MedMJ. If Bedrocan takes the helm fully on MedMJ and Tweed for RecMJ, there is where I can see a reasonable price difference.
Emma Snow Queen Goddess is Bacn in the building @ the Tweed Shop!
Tweed took a lot of flack on Twitter when this strain was not available. It's good to see they're listening intently. The buds are b-e- utiful !
I ordered some myself but haven't touched it as yet.
Might be our resident joepub
The petition started last Friday. That puts 45 days to the second week of April. Weekends removed, 3rd or fourth week of April. Around 4;20.
remember there was a slow "seasonal" period from july-september q2. There may be a reasonable expectation for an uptick in in the q3 financials for the quarter coming out of that seasonal lull. and again, gaging how busy customer service has been recently, i belief that uptick to be sustained into this q4
Before we legalize pot, Canada has to decide: How high is too high to drive?
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/editorials/before-we-legalize-pot-canada-has-to-decide-how-high-is-too-high-to-drive/article28817695/?click=sf_globefb
expect this to be a touchy subject at the senate meeting. title of articles are no longer if, but when and how. steady as she goes
CBD Collections back in the Tweed Shop with pretty much the same strains. Now after reading the Flagship guarantee fine print, I think the gap in this collections availability was just a layover period for processing, probably both the collections and the web page selection. wouldn't be surprised to see the THC Favorites collections back in the shop by Tuesday morning at the latest.
The plus side for the collections is theyre discounted from the solo strain orders, and the variety. This may be boosting their popolarity.
Wow! What a shady outfit! Kill 12/20 plants and don't know which plant strain is which out of the survivors! We're the storing them in someone's garage?
Can add this to the list of topics to be brought up in the quarterly conference call.
expect to hear questions about the deal in the conference call. 18 - 24 months in the making. thats how long ago they contacted snoops people. thats literally from the beginning of public trading. And I don think snoop would have entered a subpar partnership plan, anymore than CGC Board, after courting him for 24 months, would enter a detrimental deal.
The board is hard at work. No one had a wiff of this April 2014. so lets continue speculating what the they are building for the next 24 months
Many of the strains that have SOLD OUT, have been discontinued due to either a lack of interest, or the strain has been improved and rebranded. Its too bad we havent been tracking the strain inventory, or else we would see that at one point there were over 30 strains in the shop. The ones neglected by more popular strains and flag ship strains were packaged into Collections and discounted to make room for the torch bearing strains. I almost dont want to use my EMMA (Snow Queen)because it has been discontinued. An actual collectors item. The growing inventory is to meet the growing demand. I dont think Tweeds business model has begun its Connoiseur line as yet. But we have the idea thats what the deal with SNoop is gearing toward.
Patience will really benefit investors here. The senate meeting is Wednesday, and none other than Bill Blair will be on the panel. His answers, questions and opinions will be scrutinized and inferenced heavily. And the very next day is CGC quarterlies. Thats a binge lineup I think.
Several of the securities my family held were sold last year at a very opportune time. Total coincidence, profit taking. almost all of them are down 40%. Its been a very rough 52 weeks for a lot of corporations.
CGC on the other hand, which we held the majority of, has done very well. MOTE, Management, and Margins
i asked both customer services and the clinic and they both said its very busy. lots faxes incoming. I dont think order numbers would be increasing unless patient numbers were, unless folks were just breaking their orders into multiple. if that were the case, revenue wouldnt grow. again , unless dosage amounts were increasing. all are supposed. Id like to lean toward patient uptake increase. why else would Tweed hire more customer service reps?
THC Favorites (collection) - $145 SOLD OUT.
now for the team to look at inventory and orders and create another collection.
Canada's Internet Online Economy is estimated to be 3.6% of total GDP for 2016. That's 45 Billion! I'll say that again, 45 Billion Canadian dollars out of 1.55 Trillion will be directly related to the online, Internet economy. And estimated 5.5% for all developed nations.
Of course that leaves a whole lot of bricks and mortar marketplaces. But one would be foolish to negate the fact that a very fast growing part of Canadian and Global Economy choose to shop online. Heck, Bobby, your online right now, on ihub, on a stock forum that traditionally was a pullout page in a news paper, or a bunch of guys hollering over sheets at a stock exchange.
You don't speak for everyone. So speak for yourself and allow others to do the same.
I shop online All the time, every opportunity I can, because it is convenient. I used to go to the outlet stores and have to drive from one retailer to the next comparing product and prices. I found that to be a waste of my time and energy (gas) when I could do the same thing at my kitchen table while having a chat with my family. And while I'm there, heck, I might as well just order the thing and have it delivered to my door. Voila! Welcome to the 21st century.
I just had a half ounce of premium Cannabis hand delivered to my doorstep by Canada Post, a crown corporation, at no cost....
Who's complaining? Not me. And not the other folks contributing 45 Billion Dollars to the Internet economy to purchase everything from a dating service to a news paper publication, to cannabis.
The day will come when we all have the option of going into a Better By Tweed, or whichever distribution centre you prefer to purchase your Cannabis. But for now, it's not legal. Which is also one of the reasons 38% of Canadians Voted in a Majority Liberal Government. So give them some time to work on yours and other Canadians behalf to get this done. In the meantime , enjoy your MMAR authorization and let the Folks under the MMPR enjoy there's.
Bedrolite back in the shop today. I spoke to costumer services about this yesterday , re: the lack of truly CBD strains available.
I think these are growing pains. A little patience from everyone is all it takes. All will be well. Let's go Tweed Farms! Although it's good to keep the pressure on.
The deal with the proprietor oil extractors should be very interesting too. There was nothing on the market to handle such volume, and CGC took the lead on developing one. And that's just for Medical. The RecMJ oils volume will be monumental. And CGC may be the only ones capable of meeting that demand.
On that note, one can expect an earful of questions and corrections about the oil sale licence predictions.
I'm also producing an "out of the box experience " for my order. I figure with their hands tied for advertising, it's the least investors can do to help.
I asked someone at Tweed about it. I was told the flag ship guarantee of the 5 strains was their solution to that. But all 5 are THC strains. Tough cakes for CBD customers. More Tweed farms production is a possible solution. Bruce did mention the unexpected high demand for CBD strains last Quarter. So I hope that gets sorted out. On the plus, demand is High! (Pun)
