So the OPA gave them NTP waivers on contracts they did not secure? LOL
WHy don't you ask the OPA if they are in the practice of handing out waivers on projects that have not been granted a contract, had it executed and received the required deposits.
I also agree about the word of statement of the day is "grasping for straws". LOL
Exactly. "under certain circumstances". So that is NOT a no. Also you can see that they CAN be transferred after COD. SO any decent lawyer could structure a deal around these issues.
However I say that assuming your "proof" was real. With names and email addresses removed this cannot be confirmed. SO no proof.
As for the silly notion that the company did not put up the deposits I refer you to the AWSL PR that states clearly:
Project Update.
At this point Atlantic has submitted all necessary documentation to the OPA for the 20 contracts it has been offered, has received the Waiver of Notice to Proceed (NTP) on 19 out of 20 projects, and has received Connection Impact Assessment (CIA) approval on 4 of the 20. Construction dates for the initial projects will be announced once NTP is granted.
Is it the industry or AWSL you decide:
http://ycharts.com/companies/FSLR
I HAVE CONFIRMED transferability with the OPA.
Why don't you ask the company or confirm with the OPA that the contracts have indeed been secured by the required deposits. The truth will set you free.
According to the company they qualify for a large number of points.
Perhaps the management will fund it like they have been funding everything else. You think they would just walk away from many tens of millions of dollars for perhaps $100k in costs?
I have a hard time buying that theory.
I do not see one thing that is not true. Every single PR has been updated with where the company is on that specific item. Do I really have to post that gain for you?
What solar company should I compare the chart to? It looks like every other solar company chart.
I am happy there is enough volume to keep you and the others here and taking a position.
If it was really dead no one would be talking about it. You and I both know that!
Have a good night ladies and gents.
I noticed that too. Moves up on little volume.
Up again today 13.6%
Atlantic Wind & Solar (PN) (AWSL)
Close $ 0.25 0.03 (13.64%)
Volume: 2,049
That record quarter might be huge for the company in the next round of OPA offers.
I am hearing companies and funds will pay over $1.00 NET per watt.
Can't wait for the next round....
Of course even if they get another 20 MW's worth of contracts they won't be able to record the sales until 2013. At least that is what I assume.
Not sure how anyone can state that everyone else gets projects built in 6 months when there was no contracts wards in more then 8 months. But wait I was assuming 'logic'. Nevermind.
Record Quarters for Ontario subsidiary
The Company is pleased to report that in quarters two and three of 2011 its Ontario subsidiary, Atlantic Solar Inc. (ASI), processed more CAE solar projects from its pipeline than in any similar prior period since the inception of the OPA FiT Program. ASI had always remained optimistic that more OPA contract offers would be offered at the current tariff rates and is more so given the recent electoral results.
Atlantic CEO, Mr. Gilles Trahan comments: "Atlantic submitted over 11 megawatts of additional CAE solar project applications to the OPA during this short period of time and has prepared another 10 megawatts of applications now ready for submission." Mr. Trahan continued, "Since the restructuring of the organization last May the Company not only increased its processing speed but did so under a significantly reduced cost structure, greatly improving the Corporation's bottom line."
Wow did I just read that correctly?
The CEO is a scam artist? Please tell us more. OR is it the same story that he has a friend on Facebook that was fined.
"All he does is pay for promotion." Judging by how this is trading if he is doing that he is not doing it well.
I suggest you read this: (I sent the article to the company)
http://www.stockwatch.com/News/Item.aspx?bid=Z-C:WND-1960774&symbol=WND&news_region=C
Again I will respond clarifying some clouded vision: You statements in italic.
"FYI...two things move a stock...1- a company has a product to offer and customers/buyers want that product so they buy hence driving up the stockprice..."
Fortunately many companies want what AWS is selling. Solar PV projects they have developed. NOTE I do not say built. There value is delivered even before building. 20 Ontario Power Authority (OPA) CONTRACTS representing 1.76 MW's AC and 20 MW's of applications already submitted to the OPA awaiting award.
"2- a company has nothing to offer but promotes the "potential billion dollar company" myth and delivers those myths through various stock promotion sites filled with rhetoric and company generated hype (all not independently verifable through due diligence), the price goes up because it is a momentum play,... and that is all it is. a momentum stock promoted play. play the play and make some coin. "
As I stated above AWS has very much to offer. As for you statements about the stock promotion, a. I have not been able to find one article dated after Jan 2010 touting the company. Other then the PSC statements that this would go to $10 I cannot find a single untruth. I have not seen any claims for BILLION dollars. If all it is as you say it is, a momentum play to promote shouldn't there be promotion? Shouldn't there be news? Lastly why would they spend millions of dollars developing all the projects I listed above. Simply this makes no sense.
"so far, with history as our ali we can prove...AWSL is in category #2... not one item mentioned in any of their company generated press releases about revenue generating projects, completing"
Again I refer you to the 20 OPA contracts and 20 MW's of applications to the OPA awaiting award. SO every word I read on them is true as far as I can tell, in contradiction to your statement above.
" and filing the S-1, submitting the long, long awaited allegedly completed financials, actual signed and bonafide contracts, etc...so many items mentioned that it would take pages of content to post all of what the trashman has literally lied to AWSL shareholders about... "
The S-1 and financials go together. The company has been VERY clear as to their updates on why they held back at this time. Why would you do an offering when the stock is way down and prior to a bunch of good news? Again I don't get your point. Lastly I keep stating here PLEASE DO show us all the lies you feel Trahan has said. I keep asking but get no response.
"it is obvious that there is nothing here but canadian/bahamian manucia for sale."
I have no idea what you are saying in this sentence. But the only thing I know is the solar projects developed and new ones being developed are the only things I understand are for sale. Even the sale of stock (the S-1) is on hold.
Great link, thanks Emray. While I haven't heard anything from management or the company in general on markets in Canada outside Ontario I am happy to hear there are more markets available right in Canada coming.
Hopefully they can take their lessons learned in Ontario and move quicker off the blocks in the new market.
I hope everyone who buys stock in this company or any other company gets to sell it at the best possible price.
I wish well for all. I also believe in karma. By wanting success for others it usually comes full circle.
It was up over 38% intraday on even less shares.
I agree although it seems to move very easy I would hold on to my pocketbook until some sales are reported.
I would have hoped Red sold his EMTI at $4.75 +. Or even even at $3.50 after the dividend.
Paid promoters? This is the 3rd or 4th time in the last couple days I read this is being promoted. Can someone please post a link to the tout service or advertising for the stock.
I am surprised any company would be promoted when there is no news or anything to talk about. Other then wait for news and updates..
BTW, I cannot believe 10,000! posts wow.
2 years of due dilligence? WOW! I PERSONALLY would have said this is worth getting in or avoiding it long before 2 years. Perhaps take a watch closely for an entry point but to keep doing DD on something I feel is worthless???? I would never waste so MUCH of my time.
I don't think anyone here has said the share price will go up or they expect it to anytime soon.
As for financials. I agree with you I and I am sure everyone does, we want to see them.
However, I do not see how the S-1 would help in ANY way. Why would registering stock to sell help?
It made sense when the stock was over $1.50 but it sure does not here. Perhaps that is what management means by waiting for favourable market conditions.
Yesterdays short volume report...
Here is your Buyins.net RegSHO Compliance Alert for May 21st, 2012. Our RegSHO Compliance Service helps to protect AWSL from short sellers and market makers that are violating the more stringent RegSHO market integrity provisions recently enacted. We are monitoring the trading activity in AWSL and here is today’s report:
Total Trading Volume: 1869
Daily Short Volume: 500
Avg. Price of Shorts Today: 0.190
Short %: 26.75
Volume at Offer: 0
Buy%: 0.000
Volume at Bid: 1869
Sell%: 100.000
Shares Crossed: 0.000
Cross%: 0.000
Net Buying vs. Selling: -1869
Price Change: -0.05900
Friction Factor: -316.779661
The above data is used to calculate if a fair market is being made in the shares of AWSL. Friction Factor determines if there is normal or abnormal behavior in the price action of the stock when compared to the buying vs. selling trading statistics. Today, your Friction Factor was -316.779661. Here is how to understand Friction Factor:
1. If Friction Factor is positive, more buying than selling caused AWSL’s price to rise
2. If Friction Factor is negative, more selling than buying caused AWSL’s price to fall
3. If Friction Factor is 0, there was no discernable activity either way
4. If Friction Factor is abnormal, it means that more buying than selling caused the price to drop, which is evidence of manipulative activity. In some cases more selling than buying can cause the price to increase. While this is rare, it must be noted as well.
By signing up for our RegSHO Compliance Service, we will monitor your trading daily and identify short selling, illegal short selling, manipulative market maker activity and alert the media when a short squeeze begins and when forced buy-ins occur because we were able to get broker dealers, FINRA or the SEC to force “buy to covers” upon short sellers that have not located, borrowed and delivered shares shorted by T+3.
Here are our unique data sources:
1. Nightly Threshold Security Lists ("Naked Short Lists"): data comes from AMEX, NASDAQ, NYSE, OTCBB, PINKSHEET exchanges directly.
2. Daily Size of Failures to Deliver ("Size of Naked Shorts on a day to day basis): directly from SEC
3. Daily Short Sales Times and Sales Data: data comes from AMEX, NASDAQ, NYSE, OTCBB, PINKSHEET exchanges directly.
4. Brokerage firms that trades go through: data comes directly from AMEX, NASDAQ, NYSE, OTCBB, PINKSHEET exchanges
5. Names and positions of short sellers with assets under management exceeding $100 million: data will come directly from SEC
6. Blue Sheet Data Requests: We deal directly with FINRA and SEC to alert them as to which stocks and which brokerage firms SEC and FINRA need to investigate.
7. Trading Statistics and Friction Factor are based on data provided by all US stock exchanges and proprietary analysis of the activity.
The data we provide is extremely useful for AWSL for the following reasons:
1. Stop naked short selling in the company you are covering
2. Break the market maker hold on Level II box causing so much price friction
3. Our SqueezeTrigger Reports that cross newswires and are sent to our 720,000 users help break the rest of the shorts
4. Discourage new short sellers from shorting your stock
5. Stop the negative perception that dropping stock price places on normal day to day business operations
6. Combined all of these facets help to stop the daily drain that the short attacks have on the company.

I agree but I think I understand what is going on here. Read post 9991
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=75820410
I find it very interesting that anyone would think people voicing a contradiction to the negative 'rhetoric' would cause an increase in price or volume. This board is supposed to be for discussing the company, exchange thoughts and insights based on it.
So does this mean there is a different reason for the negative postings as far back as I can read?
However I do agree with you that not much should be expected until some construction or sales are announced!
I know it will hit .18 first. You already stated here that I should notice "the more you post the more it goes down". As you stated in POST #9914.
It is clear what is going on here.
As I said. When there is nothing left to smear about go to the stock. I have not seen anything claim this is a billion $ company.
I am betting on the 20 OPA contracts CONFIRMED and the other 20 MW's in the application pipeline.
I do not think that equates to a Billion $ company as you keep stating but it equates to shareholder value. I don't care about the price today or next week. I invest in small companies like this for the long term unless I lose my faith in the company and its mission. I have not.
SO lets compare next year and see who was the better log term investor. A long here or a short here. TIME WILL TELL.
GLTA
Thats right if you cannot think of something new to say thats negative. Trade it down and point to the share price.'
"Share price creates shareholder value" I don't think so. A balance sheet, financials and a strong pipeline for the future creates shareholder value. THEN you hope it translates into the share price.
You have it in the wrong order.
What is the opposite of stock promotion ?
BTW I have not seen anything on that front since Spring 2010.
So with the great proof you want us to believe you have. Would you not have just asked your contact to confirm if the 20 ASI FIT contracts were signed instead of asking for proof from me?
No need to reply. LOL
The contracts are valid for 3 years from the date the contracts were signed, That is a few months after the contracts were offered. So there must be at least 2 years left.
Your OPA 'insight' is flawed. JP Morgan bought true vast portion of OZZ Solar's pipeline BEFORE they were built.
But whoever this JP outfit is they don't know what they are doing I guess. LOL!!!!! Grasping again....
Perhaps this should be re-read.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=75724987
I refer to the AWSL PR that clearly stated:
Fit contracts and applications are very valuable.
FIT 2.0 Points can be achieved much easier for those positioned well. Its not magic, its positioning --
Capital ? Who's to say AWS can't just sell some of those FIT apps in queue to get the necessary capital to ensure the rest are processed. Or maybe even sell a couple of approved projects - Timestamps and contracts are valuable these days -- YES, projects that are still in queue or approved projects CAN be sold.
From what I am reading here, AWS must not have made any advancements on any fronts because they haven't announced any news publicly. Sorry, I don't buy it. I highly doubt they would just let 20 FIT contracts and dozens of old apps sit and rot. Negativity must be so consuming at times.
Since most here state Trahan is lying, perhaps they "do" have NTP's on all 20 projects - how far out are the LDC's/OPA allocating connection dates for after CIA's are performed ???
A bid thanks to Emray on the bulk of the content.
Emray had a great point. How is it you know this? Where you in the AWSL offices? How do you know they did not apply under other names in addition to Atlantic solar Inc.
Inside information is very serious. Many people here including myself have a lot of money invested. If you know something that everyone else does not, please tell us where you obtained this information.
Obviously you cannot. That link is ONLY to the post that discusses the "list of contracts" No link was in that post. That is what I and others who are not on the propaganda campaign would like to see.
But as I already know, there is no list that describes contract assignments.
What link? There was no link. I guess you 'forgot' what you said last.
Welcome back CSTI !!! Good to see you have come back out of the dark no longer hiding your offers through NITE and UBSS.
The short is on again.
Good luck! :)
Thanks Emray. Just trying to make sure some real; items of importance are not lost in the propaganda and that both positive and negative facts have a sound basis of reality.
Right... and? I would assume they would not transfer them into a new special purpose vehicle until there was an off take in place. I am pretty sure the off take company would want a brand new company incorporated at the last minute to ensure their are no skeletons etc.
Despite me explaining this I will also point out there is NO OPA page that shows the status of the contracts ie. transferred to any other company. I think you know this too. But since the object here is to raise doubt I figured I would answer it despite the statement not being factual.
Was this priced wrong or did NASDAQ drop the ball. Perhaps both.
I love the business model. I love the growth rate but there is no way they can keep that up. Time to quantify the users. This will turn a little corporate, but it has too. With all the new investors in at this level. They want to see some of the growth that the early player seen. However we know that won't happen. Zukker and the early VC's are cashing in nicely. But I do not blame them. I would too. Zuk still has all the control but with an extra $6B in liquidity to get him through his personal rainy days. ;)
Here is a good article re the NASDAQ pricing issue:
http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2012/05/18/facebooks-debut-marred-by-trading-glitches/
That is what I have been thinking about with all these negative rumours (rumours) and propaganda spread here.
However lets agree to disagree on these points.
Have a good weekend.
Incorrect again. Under FIT 1.0 and 2.0 ALL CONTRACTS can be assigned to a special purpose corporation (SPC) that is owned at least 75% by the original contract holder. THEN the company or SOC could enter into a sales agreement whereby the shares stay in escrow until the projects are COD.
Again I do not recommend you take my word as fact. Confirm it with a lawyer.
In response to the post previous from Nlghn, I remind you I am still waiting on proof of every one of those allegations. Please show us links or something to back up these very general yet negative statements.
