That thar morning trumpet call of 300k @ 2 was me.... up and at 'em boys! Let's go! news is coming! IMO
Charlie
Hey! We're up off the bottom again with a ASK of 2! That's encouraging.
Anyone talk with John lately? Is he getting close to finishing the fins and maybe close to getting another PR out there?
Charlie
TOSCA, Boy, wouldn't THAT be a BOOM for us if Doug announced ANY of the things you just talked about!
Using the CC land for ag and a joint V to fund it... wow! Any kind of projection numbers for the timber we already have planted and another WOW!
And right now he can announce the start of a new process for leaching the gold from the black sands. Give us some numbers from that 0r just give us an idea of how that works and Boomers!
Charlie
Good Job! And I agree, this is gonna wake up soon and you'll always be green!
Charlie
Buffalo, Thanks for sharing this with us.
It's nice to hear that things are moving forward. of course, no basher will believe it until it's accomplished, but I KNOW it will be.
1 million shares for 100 bucks is hard to pass up. I'd be getting more if my money weren't tied up in graduation presents and vacations that are coming up. I'll be looking to squeeze some more money and see what comes up.
Charlie
It's a bit scary bouncing here on the bottom.... very few people will buy a no bid stock. There's a few out there that will, but not many.
I'm hoping the soon John will be able to publish something and almost anything he puts out there is bound to help out the PPS - it can't get any lower than this. i believe he will, and the we'll be higher and we'll all feel a little better....
This is the first morning where 50 million shares HAVEN"T been at the ASK for 1!!.. has our seller decided to hold for a higher price?
Less than $500 takes us off the bottom, unless the MM's keep posting more at the ASK as these get eaten up. Maybe THAT is their game today, but I hope not.
Charlie
Thanks TOSCA. So that's about half a tank of fuel in the bowser. Good to know, and better than the zip we had before Heineken.
Now that we have a contact and a history of business, then next year maybe we'll be doing a lot more business with them.
Charlie
TOSCA, so how much money do you figure we got from our sale of sorghum to Heineken? My very rough figures were at about $5,000, but I'm not sure about my math or conversions of kg to ton.
There have been some pretty basic comments and quesitons lately.
Why do I think it's at zero bid? Because there are SO many shares trying to be sold right now. That's either coming from someone in the company, or diultion of some kind. I don't think those are retail shares trying to be sold at .0001.
How long will it stay here at zero? IMO, not very long. I think that John will have something to PR pretty soon and then it will come back up. I think that once financing is secure then he'll tell us about it. Then once equipment gets purchased and shipped. We may have to wait a while, but it will happen.
Until then we'll hear cheap shots and scam conspiracies. it's actually pretty boring stuff to read all the time.
Charlie
So is this going to stay at zero BID until we get some news? or until some of us get another payday under our belts?
I wish I had more cash that I could invest long term here, but I'm dry.
Charlie
Now THAT'S the kind of agttitude we need! Come on John, give us something to chew on!
It's gonna take a LOT of buying to eat up 54 million shares on the ASK @ 1. I don't think it's going to happen unless there is something new to get excited about. Like maybe a web page update with our first Field Report or whatever John planned to have under the "Investors" tab.
There has been a lot of talk about Financing and I'm sure that John has at least 2 or 3 options available to him. The perferred one may be having difficulties going through, and the others may cost more then he'd like... but I'm positive that we WILL be able to buy the equipment and get it over there. maybe NEWS about that will geet us off the ground. and i DO mean off the ground cuz we can't go any lower than this!
Charlie
If anyone doesn't believe that SGCP is doing business in Sierra Leone, then all they have to do is look at the pictures posted on the website www.sierragoldcorp.com and see for themselves. Those can't be made up.
A while ago I too was concerned that I couldn't find any offical governement documentation about SGCP, then it was explained to me that we have leases from the LANDOWNERS and Chiefs.
All this scam talk gets old. Look at the sacks of rice in a wherehouse and in a local house. We helped put it there. And the dredges on the river... hmmmm where did THOSE come from?
Charlie
You know, all of us are assuming that Heineken is making BEER from our sorghum. They might be making something else, couldn't they?
Well, I just did a little research, and they DO make beer there. And they also have a LOT of community improvement stuff going on as well.

Charlie
Happy Birthday B4!
May your life be rich in every way possible
Including profits from this stock, of course!
(had to throw that in there, my friend)
Charlie
future resident of Rich Guy Island!
TY, I was getting excited first thing in the morning....
Sue, where did this come from? I haven't seen a PR this morning yet....
I think there is no such thing right now as too much rice in Sierra Leone! ANYTHING we do to increase the availability of rice is a good thing, no matter how you boil it!
Not as crazy about us making beer in a part of the world that is starving, but if it gets us to profits then what the hell, beer it is.
Do I sound like a dirty old man if I say that I REALLY want to see some teens? lol
Charlie
Gem, it won't take too long to get "smashed to hell and back"... after all, we're already in hell, aren't we? jk
right now the "land of paradise" seems to be the land of teens... I'd love to see us in the teens right now, and I'm sure everyone would.
BTW, the paint at the end of the day at .0003 was mine. BoooYaa!
Charlie
OK, there you are.... How did that feel? Was it good for you too? All the others said so too!
Charlie the ASSSSSK Slappin' Grafitti paintin' cool guy!
oops... I slapped another's asssssk and thought it was yours.....
Just call me Mr. Grafitti slappin' a little asssssk.
Wow! A Field Report and all this time we were being told by someone with contacts that Doug won't be coming back for a while... what an almost surprise, but a pleasant one.
Generally, I like the FR. It had some new info for us to mull over. And it left out the revenue for some reason. I'd love to know what we can expect from the sorghum sales to Heineken. A ballpark figure would have been nice to see. Could be a nice revenue stream for us. And the rice sales looked promising too.
I'm not sure what this meant about the new leaching process ... "In addition, the company would attempt to get exclusivity for the use of the product in West Africa." That almost sounds like a patent, but in Africa? and is it a product, or a process?
I remember seeing a picture of some kind of testing, or possibly leaching, in one of the photos on the website....
http://sierragoldcorp.com/photos.php?pageNum_Recordset1=3&image=b007.jpg
is this what they were trying out?
Overall, a nice FR. I'm hoping that Doug will post a PR soon with a few of the missing details. Maybe that would inspire a few more people to get in on the ASK and buy some SGCP!
Go Baby GO!
Charlie
Question: A crew has just had a Mutiny of their Captain and is adrift at sea. Their ship is damaged, leaky, rusty, and may not stay afloat if something doesn't change soon. They haven't had any cargo ever and don't really have a plan to get any, although everyone talks a lot about how necessary it is to have some.
A new Captain appears on the ship and seems unafraid to work on these challenges. He tells the crew not to worry and to let him guide them to safety and riches. The crew looks at each other and asks, "Who the hell is this guy and why should we trust him?" He tells them of plans for great cargo and says that first he has to repair the ship. He explains a plan of action and starts to work.
How long should the crew give the new Captain to make good on his plan? Wouldn't it be in their best interest to give him a chance to get something done?
"NO!!! Let's get him! Let's toss him overboard like the last guy! YES, That's what we need! It will make us fell so good to get rid of him too!"
Then what happens to the crew? They are once again stuck out in the rough sea with no Captain and no plan for repairing the ship and certainly no cargo at all.
No one wins and everyone loses.
Don't we want a different ending to OUR story?
GO STHG! Win baby WIN!
Charlie
Because you can CALL HIM AND ASK.
That I do dare you to do.
anyway, it doesn't really matter if you do or not. It's your choice and you need to be happy with what you invest in. I'm happy, but then I choose to be happy. It's much better that way.
I agree that we need to get the atop sign off, and I'm confident that John will get that done. He is working on it. I don't beieve that ANYONE, including you, expected him to get that done in his first week, or even his second. By the end of June sounds about right, or even a little quick.
How depressing is this stock? It's NOT depressing at all! It's kinda exciting! How often can you buy a stock at .0002 and be confident that this is the bottom of a huge run?
Charlie
Sue... uplisting??
Then he will go forward on uplisting and name/ticker change.
Are you talking about just getting current? or a uplisting off the pinks? wouldn't THAT be awesome!!
mdb1, I don't think they will have a problem.
quote: First SGCP must survive this rainy season.
Well, of course they'll have to survive. We still don't know how much gold we've recovered since John's last FR. and BTW, that last FR was excellent! In less than a month we had 104 oz of Gold.
During the period of late March to present Sierra Gold produced 104 oz. of gold from all sources despite dredge downtime due to mechanical issues and numerous fuel shortages. The company continues to stockpile black sands from all operations for future processing. This processing is expected to commence in late June 2012. The process employs advanced recovery technologies including that of nano gold recovery and has the capability of operating throughout the rainy season.
So, if the downtime is less, and the fuel is getting better, then it looks like we'll have MORE than the 104 oz for Dougs next report. And this rainy season we will STILL be recovering gold from our black sands. Yes, we don't know yet how much we'll get from the sands, but it COULD be more than we are getting through dredging (if you want the opinion of an optimist), or you could cast doubt and look for the clouds and say "prove to me that the sun is still there behind that dark cloud".
The weather report is for Lots of SUN on Rich Guy Island!
Charlie
I don't think Doug will stay in Sierra Leone much longer....
I've been thinking it over, and it makes more sense for him to come back. I'm sure there is a LOT of work piling up that John used to do for him that will need his attention. And aren't the fins for the first quarter due to be filed? Oringinally he probably DID want to have an extended stay in S.L., but really... now?
And what if when he does come back, either now or next month, and he PR's some great Gold recovery numbers, announces a JV or two, and tells us a little more about this Black sands processing; Would the PPS go up a few ticks? of course it would. Would we see anything above .0010? Hard to say because that seems so far from where we have been lately, but I think it's a possibility.
Of course, all the above is just in my head and no where else...
Now wait a minute... I KNOW I'm lying in a field of grass somewhere...
Charlie
Sir, that was NOT a quote of MINE!! If you are going to reply to someone and say "QUOTE:" then get it right and say whom it is you are quoting.
Is that a violation of TOU's??
yes, and that opening big sell-off of ...what was it? oh yeah, a whopping $1.51 was meant to do what? Sell off a persons position? No, it's a scare tactic and we all know it.
Whom ever is selling for postage stamps is sure making their broker happy. They get paid no matter what is sold.
Anyone else see this yet?
We kinda expected the filings to be a little late, didn't we? After all, John JUST got there.

NOTIFICATION OF LATE FILING
OTC Markets
Anticipated Filing Date: June 31, 2012
Charlie
Congrats on the 1's! Glad to know they went to a good guy!
Now let's hope that whom ever has been selling has gotten enough to buy all the beer they can drink for a while.
I KNOW why people would want to BUY at .0001, but why on earth would you want to SELL at that price? Do you really need beer money THAT badly?
Charlie
Mmdb1, I totally agree with this part of your post:
The survival of SGCP depends on what happens in the next 12 months. Imo that is how serious the situation is for SGCP.
as for the rest... I'm not going to second guess their reasons. The CC's would have been it's own gold mine had the market not colapsed. The other areas we dredged had good assay results, but assay reports tell you the total amount of gold in the smaple, and it turns out most of that is not gold that can be obtained through a dredge, but will require additional processing of the black sands, which we are just starting to do.
Doug has a lot on his plate right now, that's for sure!
GLTA
Charlie
Keep the faith a little longer guys. You've been in for this long, let's just see what Doug does with the rest of this season.
I'm hoping for good news when he gets back from Africa.
Charlie
Big Profits.... Looks good doesn't it?
Thank you for the reply, Johnny.
Sorry if I got my cackles up, but your prior post sounded like you were implying that John took things from SGCP and I was a little defensive.
yes, we'd ALL like to know more about the JV's and yes, it will be great for SGCP if John succeeeds in getting the gold and paying SGCP half a million.
Now that John has left, I doubt if he will comment on anything pertaining to SGCP, but good luck and I hope you find something out.
My own feeling is that ARDC was needed because it's going to take some special equipment to process the black sands and get the gold, or concentrate out for processing. I don't think that SGCP could raise the money for this equipment, but if John started a private company then private investors would fund the equipment. I don't know that for an absolute fact, but feel my theory is close. and I know John won't be able to comment on that until he publically releases the financing details. I'm hoping that comes soon!
Good Luck!
Charlie
Good idea. Why don't you start off by giving him a call and let him tell you all about it.
From his PR with the new company:
Through my own due diligence I understand that there has been a lack of communication between upper management and shareholders. That changes today. I will personally make myself available for phone calls On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8am till 4pm Eastern time. I will also respond to Emails as they come.
