Thanks, Rick. Does the approval process move through the system any faster than through the FDA?
Rick, or anyone, how rigorous of a testing/approval process is there for animal medications? AVGI might actually be a good source for "proof of concept".
So, does CYGX supply the ssDNA vector using the old and extremely expensive production technique, thus rendering many vet uses impracticle, or do they use the new, as yet unpatented, production method and give them much better and cheaper product?
It could be many months before the article actually appears, but the fact that it was accepted for publication in high-status, peer-reviewed journal means that the science behind it is solid and stands up to outside scrutiny. It will be seen by high-level scientists in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry.
Percy, the company has stated in numerous interviews that they will not partner with an outside pharma until they have taken a developmental drug through Phase II testing. To take on a partner before human testing has commenced would be foolish. Furthermore, they seem to have enough day to day operating capital since the lights are on and they are gradually adding new employees.
Quite a dive last half-hour of trading. Where's support?
Hope so. I think Friday might be a shortened trading day. I'll have to ask my daughter. Late in the week wouldn't be a great day to release news on.
Where do we end up Friday without news?
I have not bothered to contact her again. I figure we just have to wait and be patient.
I will buy back more from the 10K shares I sold @ .81.
Woody, I know you didn't ask me, and I don't know where Arnold got that quote from in his post, but I'm the one they made the "Ides of March" comment to, and there was nothing said about India. Common sense would suggest there is nothing going on in India at this time, since we are currently in litigation re the rights develop a product there.
The New Priest
A new priest at his first mass was so nervous he couldn't stand still. He asked Father Murphy for some advice. Father Murphy replied, "When I'm worried about gettin' nervous on the pulpit, I take a wee bit o' whiskey. Just to calm my nerves." So the next Sunday he took the older priest's advice. Before the mass, he got nervous and took a drink. He then proceeded to talk up a storm. Upon return to his office after mass, he found the following note on his door:
1. A few sips of whiskey. Not the whole bottle.
2. There are 10 commandments, not 12.
3. There are 12 disciples, not 10.
4. Jesus was consecrated, not constipated.
5. Jacob wagered his donkey, he did not bet his ass.
6. We do not refer to Jesus Christ as the late J.C.
7. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not referred to as Senior, Junior, and the Spook.
8. David slew Goliath, he did not kick the shit out of him.
9. When David was hit by a rock and knocked off his donkey, don't say "He was stoned off his ass."
10. We do not refer to the cross as the Big T!
11. When Jesus broke the bread at the Last Supper he said, "Take this and eat it, for it is my body"; he did not say, Eat me."
12. The Virgin Mary is not referred to as the, "Mary with the Cherry".
13. The recommended grace before a meal is not: "Rub-A-dub-dub, thanks for the grub, yea God"
14. Next Sunday there will be a taffy-pulling contest at St. Patrick's, not a patrick-pulling contest at St. Taffy's.

OT...lets see some good Irish jokes on another slow day:
Two Irish lads had been out shacking up with their girl friends. One felt guilty and decided he should stop at the church and confess. He went into the confession booth and told the Father, "Father, I have sinned. I have committed fornication with a lady. Please forgive me." The Father said, "Tell me who the lady was." The lad said he couldn't do that and the Father said he couldn't grant him forgiveness unless he did.
"Was it Mollie O'Grady ?" asked the Father."
"No."
"Was it Rosie Kelly?"
"No."
"Was it that red-headed wench Tessie O'Malley?"
"No."
"Well then," said the Father, "You'll not be forgiven."
When the lad met his friend outside the friend asked, "So, did you find forgiveness." "No," said the other, "but I picked up three good prospects!"
I wouldn't exactly call it huge. Orphan status is granted to encourage the development of therapeutics directed toward diseases who's market is too small to attract commercial development by major pharmas.
Ides of March....tomorrow.
OT Ameritrade doesn't play that game of multiple commissions for the same order. I've traded lots of OTCBB's with them, but no pink sheets. The only gripe I have with Ameritrade is their tax recording is linked to Gainskeeper, and Gainskeeper doesn't link to TurboTax.
OT,Big, I like your synopsis, and agree in most part. One point I disagree on from econ 101 is that in an inflationary environment you're better off as a borrower, and you do not necessarily want to pay off your mortgage, unless you think you are going to loose your job, because you can pay off the debt with cheap inflationary $. This assumes you have a fixed rate loan.
Spec, CD said the full name Thaliomiles in post #17270, so wizzard's cover is not fully blown, but no way is the use of Thalio's name a coincidence. He needs to explain how this came about. Thaliomiles is well known to CYGX insiders.
Tex, it was me who posted the "Ides of March" comment, and it was a direct quote from J Budet.
Just speculating, but I would think the viral coat trick is employed by many viruses to hide from the immune system. If we can crack one, we should be able to crack 'em all.
IMO, nothing bad and certainly some good can be inferred from yesterday's news item. In medicine, particularly infectious disease, you don't get overnite results. That the lesions shrank is good. Nothing could be said about the test animals' pain from the lesions...that will have to wait. Anything that tests positive against a placebo is good, and fairly uncommon.
Full results will probably come out in a published paper. Remember, it's an average of 10 years from start to market for new drugs.
On the other hand, the FDA will be under heavy pressure to fast-track new antibiotics to confront the ever growing list of resistant organisms.
Nap, re our conversation earlier today about the duration of the original patent...it just dawned on me that if MS keeps grinding out disease-specific patent applications, say 4-5/year or more, that after 9 more years they could have just about every major bacterial and viral-induced disease covered, and with a much bigger lab and more scientists, along with cheap DNA, even more could be covered. Get my drift?
Not kidding. I would post the reply verbatim, but the last time I did that, I got in trouble.
Ironically, I have an appointment with a Vedic astrologer on Saturday. I'll ask him what my chart looks like on 03/15. I don't know who the responder was; I just sent the inquiry to the investor relations link on the CYGX site. I admit it was a strange response.
Nap, I'll give you a call tomorrow from work.
Just heard back from Jennifer Budet at CYGX. I had asked for a shareholder update. She said they are waiting for results
of "several experiments" and for the judge's determination on the remaining issues from the Waldroff case, and that there should be an update "by the Ides of March". OOOOOOOOH!
Thanks. Will look forward for additional info.
Hogger or Nap, now that the trial's over, could either of you provide any more details, such as who testified, reactions of the judge and jury, documents and arguements presented, and disposition of legal fees, etc. TIA.
Judge Judy?
Is this gonna be on Law & Order in a couple months?
Has Hogger testified yet?
Nap, is it a judge or jury trial?
Hogger should know, since he's going to testify. Hog, are you allowed to sit in on the proceedings, or only be there when you are testifying?
Percy, don't you think they're referring to the same patent(s)being filed in multiple countries? No company would put out a PR for each country they file in.
Holy, we posted our messages almost simultaneously, and are in total agreement.
CD, you have a short memory. Reread this press release. MS is not a bumbling know-nothing:
NASA Contractor Senior Scientist Joins CytoGenix
Houston, TX, (September 14, 2004) Cytogenix, Inc. (CYGX: OTC: BB)
CytoGenix, Inc. (CYGX: OTC: BB) announces that Kurt L. Berens has agreed to join the company as Vice President of Product Development. Formerly a Section Manager for Wyle Laboratories, Cellular and Biomedical Group at NASA-Johnson Space Center, Houston, Berens has over fifteen years of clinical research experience.
Dr. Malcolm Skolnick, CytoGenix CEO, states, "Kurt is an excellent clinical scientist with experience in drug development and successes in the FDA drug approval process. Because of the promise of our technology, CytoGenix continues to attract outstanding professionals. Our discovery programs will continue to yield a flow of new products to complement our two lead drug candidates. From these efforts, we plan to submit several IND applications in the upcoming months."
Prior to his work at NASA, Berens was Senior Project Manager for Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs at Texas Biotechnology Corp. of Houston, Texas where he was responsible for managing successful clinical trials of the company's lead drug. He has authored or co-authored twenty scientific published papers and two book chapters. He has been an Instructor of Bio-pharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics at University of Houston, College of Pharmacy and an Instructor of Pharmacotherapeutics in Space Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston.
IP, great post. Where do you work, and what is your training?
Do you think CYGX's intracellular approach is well-protected by their patent applications? TIA
The average cost now of getting a new drug through trials and DEA approval is 1/2 billion. Phase I & II are less expensive. Phase III is very costly. They will have to partner if they can get anything to PhaseIII, and they will get a much better deal if they can get it through I & II alone.
We could start one. Maybe get a yellow rose at the next SHM.
Are you in the 6 figure club? I'm going to hold at 125K, so with 3 splits, I'll have a nice even 1 mil!!!
