Good luck with Bud.....I'm sure he likes you!!!
OMG! Is that what my life has become.....going on grub prowls???
Take me Lord, take me now!!!!!!
LOL
Nice grub
You're so funny Derfie!
BTW I had trouble with that site you gave me for the pics. I e-mailed them...hopefully they will be able to help me or else I need your daughter's help!
You're hurting my ears Derfie! Can you tone it down a bit.
Huck,
I've been meaning to ask you for a long time..... Who is Francis? You refer to him often in your posts.
TIA
Sounds like a great dog Troy!
We also lost our beloved Lucie almost 2 years ago. She was a beagle-shepherd mix and what a sweetie...but as a puppy she was nuts!
She had her own room in the house but that wasn't enough for her. Each day she scratched and scratched at the door until finally one day, she just broke through it and then went on to destroy two couches and other miscellaneous items! All of my friends couldn't understand why I just didn't get rid of her but it was never an option. If that was the case, I would have gotten rid of my husband years ago too because he pissed me off!
We eventually had to crate her when we left the house which she hated at first but eventually got used to.
The last 3 or 4 months of her life were very sad. She kept having bladder infections and finally when the doctor did a sonogram, she realized that Lucie had bladder cancer. Unfortunately at that point it had also spread to her lungs. There was nothing that could be done medically to save her. I was absolutely devastated (I'm crying now, just reliving it). I didn't want to believe the doctors so I took her for a second opinion and got the same answer. I took her to an animal oncologist and she told me that there was nothing that could be done.
I checked all over to find out if there was anything that could be done and I eventually found a doctor about an hour away who had much success with cancer in animals using holistic methods. I went to see him and he put Lucie on all sorts of vitamins and supplements and changed her diet to an almost completely raw food diet.
She eventually went into the clinic for some major doses of supplements (I don't remember which ones right now) but it was really too late. She died there. It took me a long time to get past the fact that she wasn't with us when she died but the doctor tried to reassure me that she probably wanted it that way. He said that dogs in the wild will go off by themselves when it's time to die.
Wow.....I'm a mess now....reliving this is almost as tough as going through it the first time.
We had Lucie cremated and I set a certain spot in my back yard as "Lucie's Garden" where we sprinkled some ashes. The rest are in an urn in my family room. Every spring when the flowers in her garden bloom I remember how beautiful she was.
It took me a long time, and I didn't think I could ever do it, but I have a new puppy in the house named Bailey. She is also part beagle but we aren't sure what the other part is.
She is very sweet and it's nice to smile and laugh and play with a little furry creature again.
Sam Adams?
Bud?
I just read your post on RB

While I normally do not wish for people to lose money, this is one time when I hope that that particular person was left holding the bag big time on that one!
Your tsk tsk tsk and lol lol lol was well earned Boris!
I was never a big Benny Hill fan (don't get that British humour!) so it would probably be lost on me anyway!
I just came in from taking Bailey out in the snow for the first time. She was a bit confused to say the least! I threw some snow (very soft snow) in her face and she was even more confused! When I brought her back into the house she ran around like a lunatic! Why is it that when dogs get wet they get crazy and run all over the place? Is it to speed the drying process??????
What about a "debit card"? The money is taken right out of your checking account. If you don't have the money in it, you can't buy the product.....
I personally don't like them (I still like my "float") but most stores around here take them.
OMG! If I start posting here, I will never get anything done!!!
Suffice it to say that one of my husband's friends has always said that when he dies, he wants to come back as "Susie's Pet"! I treat them better than humans! ('cause they are sometimes!)
LOL
I knew someone would complain!
Apologies to the board....I just get so excited talking about my puppy!
So shoot me!
edit: thanks for the link though...I didn't know it existed!
edit # 2: There are only 2 posts on that board and one of them was deleted!!!!!
LOL
You might just get an onslaught of duckies now Bob! I hope not too many people have your address!
My monitor at work is overrun with Beanie Babies and the like! I can't read anything at the top 2 inches of the monitor because of little animal feet dangling down.
I basically am a one pet at a time person and right now I have a 2 1/2 month old puppy whose Mom was rescued from an Atlanta shelter and flown up to NY the day before they were going to put her down. She was pregnant with 10 puppies. She had them all and they all survived and were placed in homes.
I am in the process of teaching her how to play hide and seek!
She's not getting the hang of it like my former dog did. I'm a nut though, so I will keep trying!!!!!
Good luck with your project!
It's confirmed! You must be a good guy.....you're an animal lover!
Uh oh! You said I was good at it too Phil and this week I haven't been close!!!! I hope you didn't give Troy the kiss of death!!!
Way to WAG Troy!
Wow! You guys are quick!
I just got my check for the MDC in the mail. I never expected it this soon.
I only won $100 but this money is going to be donated to a pet rescue organization. $100 can go a long way in saving a few pets. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have my cute little Bailey girl!
Thanks Bob & Matt!
BTW.....Just curious.....didn't you say that the checks were going out with the t-shirts???
As it should be!
Bye
I don't want your wife kicking my butt so....no
I can't hear it!
Of course I do!
No coincidence there.
What a great year that was! My favorite
Are they gone? I haven't read the board yet today
Geez low.....I need dictionary.com for that post!
j/k!
Anybody see any correlation to Rodders, Bee, and Ike being back posting again?
Seems odd that they all disappeared for awhile and seem to have returned at about the same time.
I did see Derf's "code" theory and that sure seems possible.
I wish you had. I'd rather be lied to than be scared.
That means it's time for everyone to leave doesn't it?
Nice grub Low!
Is that true?
NY too.
You get to drive me home
8 minutes? It takes me longer than that on a clear day!
I'm going to attempt to go to work now. It's about a 6 mile commute......any guesses as to how long it will take me
That was the best part! There were no kids to cross!!!!!
Occasionally.....one in the nice weather but most of the time I sat in my car and studied!
You're beyond help, huh?
Sure sure sure......a little nip here a little tuck there....
Believe it or not I used to be one of those!
Not a policeman......a school crossing guard!
It was a great job when my kids were little and the pay was great too!
Is that the voice of experience talking?
