You're not the only head scratcher on that one! Hopefully the Q3 numbers will jumpstart the numbers and attention to get the market to see what most on the board have seen. Makes it a good time to buy.
Does your L2 look clear of the large Asks from earlier in the week?
The server shut down for about 40 minutes, until about 25 minutes ago, but appears fine now for me on laptop.
That was quick. Sure is fun way to kill the time waiting for a PR. I had hoped something would show up last night/this morning early, but nope; again! I think its going to be late next week now, not to get buried in election news. Either way, q3 deadline is the 15th of Nov and every day that gets closer!
Interesting shots. I think that is actually the courtyard between the two one story buildings actually and not an elevated roof. Others correct me if you have been there or a better view! However, that doesn't preclude it from being a panel being tested during the day!
Anyone know the address of the lab, what's on their roof?
Good Morning All.
Well since you ask, and I admit to blatant speculation with all this, I had only envisioned a very few prototypes being tested. Five or less eg, that had been made in the lab. And this all being prior to being manufactured or even a test manufacturing run of a hundred or so.
The plot thickens. In your historic post however, you give credit to Cerp. What had he surmised. And I must say that your comment goes way and above speculation. It seems you have some specific info that you are referencing. Care to share more?
And, in a finale to the ceremony, Mrs Jackson pulls back the little black curtain on the small shed's roof in the back and shows some numerical dials showing high numbers!!!! LOL
Yes, I knew I had, but I couldn't just find it. Thanks for doing so. It just seems a great place to do it, somewhat off the beaten track, private etc... But I had not read the statements that Buckylaw found today. Put the two together it really is tantalizing. I mean, they have to test it somewhere, so; barring on his roof at home, why not mix it into a contract?
Thanks 80pirate! Glad somebody noticed!
Check out post 13309
Also, the Jackson Wine work that SUNworks is completing is just a portion of all they (JFW) are having done. Not sure if the rest is committed to a company or not yet.
I'm sorry but if that indeed does pan out be correct (that the Jackson project is a test site) then I have to claim first posting of that as theory! LOL Way back when it was announced. Privately owned, not a lot of employees to meddle, quiet routinely, and removed from the street and hidden in acreage.
On my personal alternative energy and solar stock chart, meaning I created the list on it myself so there will be big exceptions, it seems that all the solar stocks are down today? True elsewhere?? All except HYSR. But the bleeding in SOPW is UUUUGGGGLLLY, but at least the volume picked up for the ship jumpers even as the price collapsed.
Nicely summed up. And yes, purchases before SUNworks were a gamble on Mr. Nelson and the likelihood of a new cell one day. That is why I say today, though the price is higher, it has considerably less risk and is actually a better stock pick. Hindsight, I have to commend the early buyers. You guys who piled on at a cent or two, well done! Mucho chutzpah I reckon!
As to grabbing 40K shares. I bought 20K this morning. I use Scottrade. I just put in a limit buy order between the B and A, and let it ride. This morning there was a lot of bouncing around and the broker snagged it in one purchase. But even if the they broke it up, they still only charge me one brokerage fee for one requested purchase amount.
Second point first. I agree, it would be a different world if we were on the major boards. Its been discussed on here and the simplistic requirement is that it needs a history of over a dollar share for about two consecutive quarters to apply. I'm all for it.
New acquisition funding: The way I see the game plan working is for the next few events (3Q and manufacturing partner announcement) to increase pps to make the shares used to entice a purchase considerably cheaper. If its to be another already operating and profitable company in the SUNworks model (whether its battery or installation or whatever) that passes investor muster then it should increase the pps and the debt will much less of an issue.
I have the number if you need it! LOL
And this means???? We're not all chartists.
Preaching to the choir with me. This stock is as much of a good deal today at these prices as it was six months ago. Possibly more so because I believe there is less risk now.
One point: I believe the shout out from the person pretending to be president was actually all about the Jackson Family Wine project, not the Recycling plant? Anyone else remember it that way?
Well I did, so it can go back up now!
Oops, you are right! Well I think you got the general idea of my EOY predictions for what they are worth, that its best to wait until the the 90 day period is met to allow for the usage of the time to get the benefit of what I believe will be a good report. Wow, its late and that is a run on sentence!
Agree big-time!! I also watched it last week, thinking I would fast forward chunks of it, but ended up watching it all. In fact, the second half was more interesting than the first. Disappointing how few students actually in the audience though.
For end of year the "IF" word becomes active for me. How about mid Feb to end of Feb 2015 expectation? Third quarter will be history by then, and I'm saying that the EOY numbers (including positive numbers for the fourth quarter of the year) will be released by mid Feb. So, IF manufacturing partnership information has been released by then, and IF its positive, AND, IF, more acquisition news has been released by then, and it also is positive then we should conservatively be above .75, and maybe more.
LOL, I also predicted .375 for end of October in three days so take it with a grain of salt. However I have faith in the management of this company and don't see these numbers as out of line.
I thought about clarifying my comment as soon as I sent it out. LOL A year from now I do believe it will be a buck plus. It could get that high much earlier than that, however, this time next year, my expectation is that it will be safely and solidly and consistently above a dollar.
There is a tendency amongst some to feel "the sky is falling"!
Welcome aboard. Recent posts imply this may be a good week to climb on. I'm buying more tomorrow when my check to the broker clears. A year: Hopeful guestimate based on following the stock and its issues for a long time, one dollar or more. 5 years? Geez you're on your own with that one.
Ehmmm, actually I think you will find that is an English Mini Minor. Very early model about '62/'63. I know cause we use to fit a family of five in it. And no one on the roof!
Yes he will, I'm a believer too. And I'm having Duck a l'orange, buttered and steamed spring asparagus, and some (sharp) au gratin! Complemented I think with a dry and smooth Claret.
Interesting. For me, I know that if I hadn't bought my first speculation batch 30 months ago, I wouldn't have had the interest to rediscover the stock. To some extent, luck played its part. (Along with some good judgement I'd like to think)!
If its of any interest, 2 and half years ago, I saw a talking head on CNBC recommend SLTD as a spec buy. He devoted probably less than a minute on the subject, but he did say something like this. Its cheap, and if they are successful with this new solar panel, its going to go high. Its worth the risk.
So I bought $1,100 worth of shares at about 6 and a half cents. And promptly watched it go down in value. Over time I just about forgot about it. At times I looked at the reduced value and thought about selling, but just didn't need to, so didn't. Last January, as it started to rise somewhat, I started to really focus in, do research, found this board, and now am very loaded up from 6 to 20 cents. Sure wish I had bought at a penny though!
Any other first purchase tales?
They seem to have missed out my name, I guess I'm still under the radar.
Back in June, I had told myself there wouldn't be significant change in the share price until Xmas/NY's time of year. Lately I had gotten more eager. Now I'm resigning myself back to that time period, it makes it easier! If its sooner so be it. Of course since June, we are around tripled. I think it was .06/.07 value at that time.
Suffice to say Mr Nelson responded and I will keep it private. But he does seem up beat about future profit potential to be made here. (Don't read too much into that, he was hoping we all make zillions on the stock) And that's what it is all about. Hope we didn't take too much time up with all this. Lets get back to SLTD!
Chiinkwai1: would you be able to PM me your email?
That was a copy of the email I just sent.
Full disclosure: How do you know that Mr. Lee, the patent lawyer, called Mr. Nelson about my query two months ago?
Mr. Nelson, Good morning from Tennessee! I am an investor and a participant on the IHUB SLTD message board. Another member of the board informed me this morning that you were angered by my calling your patent lawyer about two months ago. If this is the case, please accept my apology. In my defense, there was much speculation at the time of the patent application response. My question was to be \"Does SLTD have full protection under the Pending umbrella?\" I never got that far. Mr Lee, professionally declined to speak to me for the obvious reasons. I used my real name, and disclosed my interest and question to the secretary who I spoke to. I suppose I was operating from anxiety induced from rampant and wild speculation on the board. Again, please accept my apologies for stepping over a line.
Then I will send him an email to the SLTD address and apologize. It still begs the question, why does he send you a narrative of his feelings to activities on this board?
Lets go back in time about two months when the whole patent debacle was being rehashed to death on this board. My own point of view was "all is well due to 'pending' coverage", but for some others the sky was falling. Adrian's name and company was all over the app. I did some research of Adrian and his practice on line, street viewed the down town complex in Salt Lake City where the office is. And decided to call to ask if 'pending' offered protection. I spoke to the secretary stating I was an SLTD investor, he (Adrian) didn't know me, and I had a question about their patent status. I'm fully aware of client confidentiality issues. The secretary said Mr Lee didn't think it was right for us to talk. This was not surreptitious, nor did I mislead. If Mr. Nelson was 'pissed' about the call, then he needs to get over it. I was perfectly in my rights to do that. Frankly I think Mr. Nelson has other issues to be concerned about. For myself, I was relieved that, though my specific question wasn't answered, the patent issues were being handled by such a high powered and professional outfit. I find it odd that you are privy to Mr. Nelson's reaction and hold onto it for two months firing it out rather vindictively.
LOL, I'd like to think it was their professionalism as opposed to my lack of perseverance!!
If I could add, that its worth while doing a Google on the full company name and checking out where Adrian works. I was very impressed as the company seems to specialize in patent litigation. You can do a 'street view' of the office. A couple of months ago when the patent was the argument of the day on here, I called Adrian's number and almost got through to him. His secretary was between us and Adrian said he'd better not talk to me due to client confidentiality. Ergo: he works for SLTD!
Good morning all!
I thought the comment from some, that contracts signed by SOPW were in a different league size-wise than our levels. Surely that accounts for some of the difference.
