I completely agree! Here's hoping to some good numbers next week perhaps.
Nice volume to close out the day. We'll see what the infamous Friday holds for us. Maybe everyone will just be so hung over from St. Patrick's Day that they'll let it hang out (or rise up!)
I share the sentiment. Well hopefully 1Q2011 was good, and I have no reason to believe the sales weren't positive!
You're very right, I misspoke. So the last 10-Q was released on 11/15/2010, and that covered up until 09/30/2010.
It would be expected then that the next release would just be Q12011 (October-December 2010), is that your understanding? Any chance they'd touch on the January numbers, in your opinion? I know it's all just projection at this point but there's not really much more to talk about.
Q4 2010 though, correct? I hope they're as positive as people think Q1 2011 will be. As far as sales, I'm sure they did well, I guess I'm in the camp with everyone else that's a little worried about what they spent to reach those levels. Eventually, with unlimited funds, a company like this could be come 'self-sufficient' to an extent, with word-of-mouth and personal experience carrying the company. For now, I know they need to get their name out there and that costs $$$.
I'm positive and wary, and I think that's a healthy feeling for a cheapie like this.
May I ask what 5 days is in reference to?
I have my money in Vanguard. No brokerage fees. It's a big boy account!
Seriously, can we keep this board clean? All I want is a place to talk about MSLP, good or bad information as long as it's grounded in some semblance of reality. All iHub boards always disintegrate into this at one time or another, but this board is so underpopulated that the only people talking about the stock are forced to filter through too much garbage to make it worthwhile.
GLTA, I hope we all make money in MSLP if we have a position, be it play money or not. Mine is not, but everyone's portfolio is their own.
Nice close!
My brokerage charges me $0.00 to trade MSLP. It's nice!
I wish it wasn't the case but I'm happy to see .05, even if it is probably just an ephemeral thing. I don't know how many days of stagnancy the management can take with releasing some financials. I understand that they probably know when things will happen so they're not rushed, but the public perception of the stock right now is that it's either a) boring or b) not going anywhere good (Fall from over $1 to $0.04 is never good).
I'm in no rush either, but I don't know how long people will be actively watching this stock to get (back) in the longer they wait to release the numbers.
GLTA
Absolutely (to both of you), it's the sales that will move this. Sales are driven by the reviews of the users, so a good product can lead to good sales. I hope the company knows what to do with success. I trust they do, or rather, if they don't, I'm going down with the ship.
My statement was more a reflection of, for me, how it's a little easier to justify holding a stinker (even if it's just a bump in the road) when the company is marketing a cure for lupus or something. Might not be easier on the wallet though...
Totally agree with you Couch (brrr...did it just get cold in here?) Don't e-mail someone being all douchey and expect a calm response. Cory is not Steve Jobs (who also sends rude e-mails, FYI). He's a guy in a machismo driven industry and I'd bet dimes to dollars that if you had approached him with any semblance of class, you'd have gotten a different MORE HELPFUL response.
This day to day stuff is just that, I'm not playing any charts and I'm not using mortgage money. I hope we all are in at levels where we can make some money, it's not like we can delude ourselves into thinking MSLP will change the world like with some biotechs. They market to a specific class of people, and they're not the kind of people betting big money on the market.
GLTA.
:)
I'm not a businessman, and I don't know how savvy our company's best and brightest are either, but I like to think they have a plan...call it trust? Misplaced or not, I've put my chips on the table and I'm hopeful.
Here's to hoping you're right, but:
a) Where do you get your stuff?
b) Can I bum some from you?
I know, seriously! 0 trades today? Wow...
Just kidding, GLTA
I know the traps of frustrations! It's hard to think that the people in charge reallllllly care if we're upset. I guess I wonder if I'd rather they focus on that versus the daily business...a balance would be nice...
Without reading the e-mail you sent, I can gather from the response that the e-mail you sent was probably disrespectful or unprofessional and not something that they felt warranted a well thought out response.
Whether or not it's incumbent on a publicly traded company to treat each shareholder with unbridled respect is not my place to say, but if I get an e-mail that is just "Why is your PPS so low? Why are you still diluting?" I'll give it a LOT less credence than an e-mail that is written stating explicit concerns, written in a professional manner.
It's a sub dollar stock right now, which opens up the field to a lot of people looking to make it rich. I bet they're dealing with a lot of people that don't know their portfolio's 6-month plan from their behinds and when they get an e-mail that is of the caliber that I'm retrodicting yours was, that's the kind of response I'd expect.
I agree. The odds of you getting any new information is low, but if you sent a well-written, well thought out e-mail along with other investors feeling the pinch then at least the company (or at least one person at the company) will get an idea for what we WANT to hear.
The fluff campaign the last two weeks or so has been inefficient at maintaining the pop (which they almost always are) but I think most here know that only earnings reports and/or news on Medicaid approvals will prop this up with the gravitas to hold it there.
There was a lot of volume between 10-14, and I'm not an investor for a living, so I don't know where all those people are now but my best advice (which isn't worth much) is just to leave this one for a while and don't live by the second-to-second PPS. I hope they do something amazing and since I got in low (but not this low!), I can afford to give them a little more time.
GLTA, I hope your other endeavors are going more smoothly.
I don't know how long it has been there, but if you go to the BodyBuilding.com store page (http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/index.html) one of the three rotating ads is for the MusclePharm Athlete's Stack.
Assault is currently #14, Shred Matrix is #31, and Muscle Pharm is #10 in Best Selling Brands. I have no doubt that the January numbers will look good.
MSLP to PR Clothing Line this Week?
From Facebook:
Kash Kg: when will mp clothing be available exactly? and are u guys working on accepting paypal on your site?

Muscle Pharm: We will have an update this week on availability. We also will look into offering paypal.
People are here. Not much to say until there's a significant PR (earnings, etc).
MSLP is clearly an up-and-coming company on the way up. This churning is healthy and probably artificial to an extent. If you don't look at this on a day to day level, you'll lose less hair. Give them time to get their business stuff out there, that's what brings in big money, not a front kick to the face, as satisfying as that may seem.
(Belort = NITE?) :)

I don't know if you all saw this. I just signed up for some today (though I'm not sure if I'll put it to the best use)

Kick to the face! Watched it live, it was sweet! At it was nice that Ellenburger and Rocha both had MSLP logos too.
I hear ya. I heard that in context of a sub-penny that people were setting sells at like...$10.
No stop loss for me, I ride things to the ground or to the sky, sometimes much to the chagrin of my portfolio. So far, my good moves trump my bad but if the stock market has odds anywhere near Vegas, I know I can't play as reckless forever.
A) I love the volume and I hope that it shows that there are still lots of potential buyers, even if it is down at $0.10. Hopefully anyone here who is able and interested can bolster their holdings as well. I'm all in as far as my income will allow so I get to sit back and relax during this stuff.
B) I've heard, though I absolutely have NO idea if it's true, that things like a large cohort setting a high GTC sell (significantly higher than market price) can actually be a red flag for certain brokers and can spur a temporary freeze or suspension of trading from certain platforms. Has anyone heard anything like this before? It makes logical sense in my mind but I don't know how much the individual brokers micromanage things like that.
Healthy movement, for all the reasons that posters wiser than me have said. PPS dropping does not mean the sky is falling, things are just settling in.
GLTA
I hear that. This one's a bit of a stretch! Good to get the name out I suppose.
I'm sorry but you're the one who is now out of line. I'm simply going to put you on ignore to clean up what I think my board should be. I have no doubt that you support MSLP, but I don't think you bring anything useful to the table here on the board. Things were quite peaceful until people started the personal attacks. This should be about the stock, not taking jabs.
Good luck to you, I'm sure you'll make money on MSLP like the rest of us!
GLTA
I'm excited to have a vested interest in watching a MMA fight! I'm a football, hockey, sometimes baseball fan and I've never really had a reason to watch MMA. I'm going over to a friends house with an HD projector to watch the (hopeful) Silva beatdown on Belfort!
It absolutely is. It's great to watch a stock like this breathe a bit. It's much healthier than a 400% run followed by a tumultuous drop-off. Good things are coming from MSLP and it's going to be the financials, which hopefully are PR'd soon, that will do it.
A Silva win on Saturday won't boost the PPS, but it might boost the sales, which will in trade, boost the PPS. I think MSLP is in a perfect position to become a gym-wide name and we can all benefit from getting in at these prices, be them $0.05 or $0.14. It's certainly not panic time.
Just because it happens doesn't make it right, and everyone has the right to voice whatever concerns they have on a public message board. Ev is a good poster that has MSLPs interests in mind and while he doesn't need me to back him up, I don't appreciate the negativity that you and RNtrader are bringing to the board.
It's clear that there's manipulation here, and elsewhere. Pinks and OTCs are ripe with them. It sucks. The kind of investors that are scared of messages about that on a message board are not the kind that we want around to hold a long term position.
GLTA.
Quite admittedly I'm new here, but this kind of action doesn't worry me at all. From everything I've read and my DD, this is simply the act of business men trying to get their last dime. It will continue to do this until something comes up that is worthy of them stopping.
Watching in real-time can be fun on a run, but when it's like this it's better, in my opinion, to be sure of your decision and just let it ride.
I hope everyone here is in a position where they can afford to relax and wait for greener days.

A Report from the (a) Front
So I went into my local (small college town in Iowa) Nutrishop store today while I was waiting to pick up the little lady from work. I will let it be very known that I visibly do not belong in a store like that, I'm 6'0", 170lbs, a scientist through and through. But I wanted to check out how Muscle Pharm products fare on consumer end.
Unfortunately, the guy that was manning the store didn't have too many positive (or negative) things to say about the Muscle Pharm products, basically equating them to having a "Big Brand" mentality, and he kept pushing super concentrated (?) things. He claimed that he got orders here and their for MSLP products but they were always special order and he barely carries them in the store anymore.
I've seen great reviews online so I'm really not worried on that level, but I was wondering if other people here have gone into brick-and-mortar stores and heard things similar or different to these?
Excited for the fight Saturday! I finally have a vested interest in MMA!
Well I'm happy to be all in here. My first chunk was bought at a lower price than today's, but I'm much more comfortable here than where I was before, especially seeing as I was just able to lower the price of that stock considerably with only my small exit.
There seems to be a lot of exciting events in MSLP's near future. I look forward to hearing more about the use of MSLP products to possibly combat wasting in diseased patients. I'm a science graduate student, so weight training isn't really in my wheelhouse, but I can certainly appreciate the market it creates! I'm glad to hear that the products are actually getting good reviews from users as opposed to fluff PRs from the company.
I hope to be here and make money with you guys for a while!
GLTA
Got it :)
Ha, It's very much like that! More like Princess Bride and the shrieking eels though.
Got out, trying to hit at .122...fingers crossed!
I'm trying! haha I can't even sell it below market value because people are waiting on news that they feel may never come.
But I'm in here with a comfortable amount for my income, even though I'd like to double it!
I'd love to double my position here, but unfortunately I can't unload my other stock to free up the capital. I'm in though, and excited about the prospects!
GLTA
I agree! I hope 2011 can be a good year for the company and the shareholders. The potential is there, let's hope it can all come to fruition, with a side-bonus of some attention from either the biotech media or higher to get some new volume in!
