I've been fastenening my seat belt for almost 10 months. I think it's about time the car starts moving lol...
Exactly my point. :)
A PR stating the NA's name will probably come the day of the call. That would be a one-two punch combo....I'd love that.
Finally...something to look foward to(short-term). I have been getting kinda bored. :)
What do you expect Louisa? His lightbulb company's stock isn't performing very well right now. Use to be at .014 and has been retracting ever since. FFF, don't let one bad stock pick upset you to the fact where you have to bring up inadequate PR's. It will take a lot more than your last post to persuade me to discredit Winning Brands' objectives and goals. We are doing quite well compared to what your "other" stock is doing. How about some Congratulations? I guess thats hard to do, sitting on the bench for to long...
Am I the only one here who bought a snuggie? It was practically calling my name as soon as I saw it in Target. :/
Yes, I agree with that. I used WC full strength many times on my carpets before learning it's not the right way to go.
Water...cloth...and prayer...
...I am NOT trying to impress anyone by how many shares of WNBD stock I own...
i'm scared to see what you got. Let's just keep our shares to ourselves...lol
Televison is without any doubt the most efficient avenue for reaching and persuading vast numbers of people. It generates the sensational urge that leads to a purchase. By no means does any other method deliver sales like it. Every good quality company should have a formed baseline or known sales trend for a particular product. For a new company who is still learning their best growth model, this baseline should be compared not only nationally, but locally. Which IMO, is why Eric is doing the C-100 program in the U.S. This baseline can be large, or it could be small compared to other similar competing companies. As time goes on (with or without advertisements), this baseline can ascend or descend.
Now lets say Tomorrow, Feb 11th, Toronto begins airing that commercial on a regualar schedule. Based on the average amount of times aired (which Eric should be aware of), and monitoring if their known baseline increases, they would know if that certain commercial was effective. Hits on their website should increase. As you stated, phone calls, and customer service inquires should increase. Being that this ad is only being aired around the Toronto area(correct me if i'm wrong), it is easier to observe how successful the TV ad is in that location. Increased product placement requests? Increased demand for the product from the stores already carrying?...etc...All vital signs of efficiency.
If the baseline stays the same, then we know the commercial was not effective. If it decreases dramatically(which does happen), then we know it more or less hurt the company. DRTV monitors this kind of stuff themselves. Whatever can make them money, they keep their eyes on. They watch how often ads are aired and the sales generated between those time slots.
"We" will not know the effect until Eric provides an update or possibly someone living in Canada(Tib) tells us. Once the DRTV ad is complete and is aired in the states we will see for ourselves. For example; we could see a vast amount of people singing a WC jingle, proving awareness is growing. Just like the "give me that filet o fish" commercial from Mcdonalds...lol. Everyone was singing that song and it obviously was very effective. I don't know for sure but I bet that sandwich type got a significant boost in sales. IMO
Exactly Tib. That commercial was not directed/produced by Hawthorne. For all we know, it was contructed by someone at Winning Brands. (You'll never know until you ask him). It wasn't made to win everyones approval. No matter what commercial, there will always be haters and more importantly "approvers". LoL...what some of these guys don't realize...2 million people will not say I hate that Jingle...Maybe only 25% may like it and go buy the product based on that. Maybe out of the 75% who "hate" the commercial, 20% will notice it in stores and try it out for the hell of it. That's still 537,500 new customers....and maybe reoccurring...ya'll do the math for the potential revenues...
With outside help from a company that has known expierence, and in a attempt to "keep up with times", a better, "more up to date" commercial will be made. You can't always go for the homerun guys...I'm sure Eric knew this wasn't the "best" commercial ever, but at least wait until the commercial airs before bashing it based on your own personal likings or lack there of...it's not about what "you" think...it's always been about the majority...get over it.
And believe me, your talking out of your @ss. The jingle may suck to you and your friends...ok...so what? Are any one of you from Toronto? Let alone...are any one of you Canadian? Maybe thats how things are done there. How about you do some research on the local commercials in that area and then come talk to me? You must be forgetting that this company is based out of Canada...not USA...Furthermore...Eric did not state any plans to run that ad in the U.S....which is a good thing IMO.
To add...Look at any "New" companies first few TV ads...They all need work. They shouldn't hire a freakin' genius jingle writer right off the back cause the cost would be ridiculously high. I'm sure Eric could dilute the crap out of us for this but as he has said plenty of times...Slow growth=Long Term Success...
Calm down and appreciate the fact that we will have at least 2 million people with their eyes on WC's, no matter how much work this jingle needs...
One thing to note is that a commercial in a different Culture/Country may work specifically for that area. The new commericial IMO would not be as effective in the USA as it may be in Canada/Toronto. "Frantic" music and speedy messages may be the key advertisment tool in that area. This is equivalent in the same regards for countries who have a "faster reading" population than us. You would see them cram more info into ads or even speed up written text statements to go off the screen faster. In the U.S. we(as a whole) read at a different speed than most countries so we may have a "text" statement up for 4 seconds compared to a country who may only need 2 sec....The same thing can be related to what advertisement/music can attract and work for different customs....IMO
All in good fun bud.
no....not @ all... :)
I'll be sure to keep this company on my radar......10 years later....YES! we finally hit .01!!!!
Get real...
$5? wow...try breaking $0.005 first buddy.
Now that is what I call marketing....Great Job.
lol...what? (where did that come from?) :) lol
I don't know about some of you but I am loving these .011's...In case of no news, I hope we stay in this area until next week...sorry...me being greedy.
I hope no one is forgetting about Sherwin Williams. I think our connection with them is highly underestimated. Eric and company have been pushing the "Paint Isle" theme of Winning Colours for a long time...Just look at the past PR's....I think we may have a better relationship with them than most think about. Someone once explained that the 60+ Piggly Stores in the Carolina areas was probably planned because the Sherwin William's Headquarters was around that area...A few months have past and we may be proving day by day that we can actually sell product....without even advertising. What happens when May gets here?
I finally picked up some more shares after a long hiatus of just "holding"...Next week i'll be buying a ton more.
"Others on this board have way more experience with these things than I so I tried to get a better understanding of it through them."
As do I. :)
Yeah, but when you start basing your posts off of other peoples opinions, it shows you can't think for yourself. I personally ain't a expert on reading IIS's/Financial Statements so I personally would never go off saying there is lack of info or "incomplete." Cause honestly, I don't know. all I know is it had tons of info that we did not know, which is great. If you can explain why you believe those things we will know it was "your" opinion. Until then, I and (I presume) others assume your probably just saying those things because others already have. Think for yourself, thats what message boards are for.
Did you explain to your brother-in-law that this is not a short term stock? If he wants a great trade, why not follow the top 15 active forums and trade the stock in the #1 postition everyday. He's bound to make tons...
I doubt they will say anything about that meeting for the reason of, if they were at liberty to speak, they would of done so already. This stock has been easy to follow over the past half year. It's been running on the same cycle, "Buy the rumor, sell the news"...The PR for the IIS built anticipation for many "traders" which caused a small run. The long's who did past DD knew we were not going to see pretty numbers. So all those "traders" who didn't see magical numbers sold, nothing surprising....The IIS was very informative and answered more questions than leaving questions without answers...If this same IIS propelled the PPS to .03, would you have any questions, and would you still have called it incomplete? That IIS could of very well have moved the stock dramatically in the other direction. Many knew the company was not going to have great numbers, but many others expected it to be way worse. IMO
wow, what substance found it's way into your coffee this morning? Your contradicting yourself man.
"Money was hid in Xmg! Private company. IMO"
"It is all coming to us which is good. Xmg made us."
If the money was "HID"...why would it matter?, "it is all coming to us"...which is good...right?...lol
It only sucks if you don't believe it's going back up. Cheer up Mr. Haley, Buy more shares. It's one thing to be in the red without having sold any, and another to be in the red having sold for the loss.
"There are several things happening in parallel, and the outcomes can still be affected by other business developments in the interim."
I take this statement to mean; if we soon launch the NA which is currently pending activation, we may no longer need to be in the "As Seen on TV" section for many stores. However, if that NA doesn't activate within a certain time frame (by May), we will run with the "As Seen on TV" as a back up plan for the incase.
If we were in Lowes/Walmart USA already, why would there be a need to go the "As Seen on TV" route? It will be interesting to find out how this commercial goes. I bet they film it in a way where it could work as a "regular commercial" or a infomerical. IMO
Good question/answer. Thanks.
To sponge off this excellent post, I also concur that Eric is waiting on other professionals to price tag this. You see, Tangible Assets(physical objects/documents) are the easiest to put a dollar figure to because they can be held, studied, and appraised. In this case, the trade secret formulations & trademarks could of easily been price tagged by Eric and company if they truly desired. The fact that they did not want to "grade" themselves shows again they are in no rush to boost this stock price where we all know it should be(way higher). He is waiting for the "Market" to catch up and assess this company for themselves, which may not be to far away from happening now due to the release of the IIS.
Realize, it is the intangible assets (For example: reputation/intellectual property) which are hard to evaluate. You cannot put a price tag on a excellent CEO. If we were not the real deal, one of our main forms of advertisements would actually be our worst. Selling a product that does not work as described using Word of mouth advertising would be your worst enemy lol. Your reputation would indeed suffer. You also cannot put a price on great reputation, so the work Winning Brands has put forth all these years is paying off with revenues just over half a mil. That to me will only grow once our character builds throughout 2010 and beyond.
I read that last night and couldn't believe that was it....With the type of volume we have had over the past few months and with the number only at 295; just goes to show when we get national ad's spewing over the TV and the shareholder count doubles, we will indeed be heading to higher highs. People will be tripping over each other trying to get in.
Info you provided is appreciated.
thanks sqeeze.
So is it safe to assume once pinksheets reads up on this IIS, the stock price may rebound once they evaluate the company's financials? We are trading at an undervalued level compared to many other pennies, so will the MM's "let the leash" off this puppy when this news really circulates? The IIS wasn't bad at all IMO.
Can someone explain to me what "removal of stop sign/uplisting" means, and in what time frame it's suppose to happen? I seen this term used plenty of times but the "stop sign" thing is throwing me off. Thanks.
geesh...going below your .013 has you thinking negative again I see... Cheer up, buy more shares, it will rebound. It always does. One of these days there will not be a large retraction. Steady as she goes.
.35?...lol...I wish...My dad would be so proud.
edit: $35?, my dad would literally kill me. Cause of death= suffocation...massive...very massive bear hug...
thanks again pal. good night/day to all.
