Yep! - LOL!
I'm Happy! - What's Not to Like? $$$,$$$ - LOL!
Glad I added 3,650 shares at $2.25 this morning.
Netman Note: I try to base my own trading decisions on my own DD, research, evaluation, constant re-evaluation, insight and observations. Current UWNK trading action is STILL reflecting short-term price action trading in the overall scheme of things (try to think longer intervals with stock reactions with perspective to the company results and company / products / franchise potential). I believe Most of the True FMV of this diverse company HAS YET to be priced in.
Of course, everyone else has to do their own DD, and then draw and constantly evaluate their own conclusions and then place their Own Bets accordingly. All just IMO (not advice / none given), we all make (and live with) our own investment and/or trading choices. I Wish You All the best in your own investment and/or trading decisions, I've obviously made mine...
Full Disclosure: Currently Holding (Long) 135,150 UWNK Shares.

Presume my buddy Scandalls has not returned yet...
Nor have I heard from him, so no 'Scandalls' to relay.
Am sure he will post His Info as soon as it's feasible.
We simply have to wait for Franchise events to unfold.
Hopefully stock hangs at $2ish until such News Breaks.
Hopefully such News will spark the next PPS run upward.
Things have gone Quite Well so far (from my viewpoint).
I can be patient, & trust Nolans Team to make it happen.

UWNK Added To Naked Short List Today
With 18.96 million shares outstanding and 32,810 shares declared short as of Oct 2006, there is a failure to deliver in shares of UWNK.
About BUYINS.NET
WWW.BUYINS.NET is a service designed to help bonafide shareholders of publicly traded US companies fight naked short selling. Naked short selling is the illegal act of short selling a stock when no affirmative determination has been made to locate shares of the stock to hypothecate in connection with the short sale. Buyins.net has built a proprietary database that uses Threshold list feeds from NASDAQ, AMEX and NYSE to generate detailed and useful information to combat the naked short selling problem. For the first time, actual trade by trade data is available to the public that shows the attempted size, actual size, price and average value of short sales in stocks that have been shorted and naked shorted. This information is valuable in determining the precise point at which short sellers go out-of-the-money and start losing on their short and naked short trades.
BUYINS.NET has built a massive database that collects, analyzes and publishes a proprietary SqueezeTrigger for each stock that has been shorted, www.buyins.net/squeezetrigger.pdf . The SqueezeTrigger database of nearly 1,100,000,000 short sale transactions goes back to January 1, 2005, and calculates the exact price at which the Total Short Interest is short in each stock. This data was never before available prior to January 1, 2005, because the Self Regulatory Organizations (primary exchanges) guarded it aggressively. After the SEC passed Regulation SHO, exchanges were forced to allow data processors like Buyins.net to access the data.
The SqueezeTrigger database collects individual short trade data on over 7,000 NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ stocks and general short trade data on nearly 8,000 OTCBB and PINKSHEET stocks. Each month the database grows by approximately 50,000,000 short sale transactions and provides investors with the knowledge necessary to time when to buy and sell stocks with outstanding short positions. By tracking the size and price of each month's short transactions, BUYINS.NET provides institutions, traders, analysts, journalists and individual investors the exact price point where short sellers start losing money.

Fortune Magazine -- NOLAN BUSHNELL November 13, 2006
Nolan Bushnell made his first fortune in 1976 when he sold gamemaker Atari to Warner Communications for $28 million. Next he convinced parents that gobbling bad pizza, playing arcade games, and watching a robotic rat named Chuck E. Cheese was a good use of their kids' time. Now the entrepreneur is merging the concepts in uWink, a restaurant where customers play interactive games as they dine. Days after his first establishment opened near L.A., Bushnell spoke to FORTUNE's Ellen Florian Kratz.
Why is your business called uWink?
I wanted a name that was playful. Short names are better than long names.
So you think adults want to play videogames while they're eating?
Most videogame experiences that people have today are isolated, and I don't perceive that as being social. I want to create a situation where a group of four goes into a restaurant not knowing a person in there and leaves with six new friends.
You don't have any waiters and waitresses. Won't customers feel a little neglected?
It's almost the opposite. People say, 'Gee, it's so easy for us to [use the touchscreen] for another drink or appetizer.' They're saying it's a little bit like Las Vegas in that it's too easy to spend money.
What's an example of a game you have in the restaurant?
We've got a best-friend game for birthday parties in which the birthday person makes a list of things that she likes and then everybody else tries to guess what they are. Of course, the person who most matches the birthday person is clearly the best friend. Tween girls love that one.
Have you played Grand Theft Auto?
I don't want to be a prude, but I just don't believe that any industry should race to the bottom. I perceive those things to be not good for kids or adults.
You say you've done some clever financial engineering. Can you give an example?
If you're having a normal meal, you never ever pay for game play. It's free. But if you're just hanging out, there's a game surcharge. We're trying to make an economic model that is significantly more profitable than a regular restaurant.
So what was Steve Jobs like when he worked for you at Atari?
Steve was a little bit, let's say, meticulous. I loved him dearly and still do. He didn't abide fools gladly.
Is the food better than Chuck E. Cheese's?
Yeah. In fact everyone made me promise I'd forget everything I learned about pizza at Chuck E. Cheese. uWink's macaroni and cheese has garlic and extra flavors you don't expect because we're using high-quality cheeses [like smoked mozzarella].
Have you ever had your birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's?
I have not. My kids have.

Will check back later on tonight...
Tomorrow (after the GO event tonight)
should be more interesting then today...
Sure.. will meet everyone for drinks later
at a uWink to Celebrate (if this works out!)
If not..., I will be working until I drop dead...
Post 6173 sums it up as to how I feel about uWink today.
Think I can be content with 131,500 shares.
At least for now...it will just have to do...
The Green ink is getting low in the printer.
Nope - Had Already Planned To Buy More Today
1500 Buy Order in at ask - Filled - eom
2000 Buy Order at ask - Filled - eom
This was the Prototype Not the Flagship
Location - I believe it was a very Deliberate Choice
Not Great nor Not Bad
I suspect they wanted to prove uWink Works in a
“C” location (a middle of the road choice). They chose
a Westfield Mall to meet their demographics needs, and they
likely chose this location to prove a point to Franchise Developers.
Nolan does not operate by chance. If you listen carefully to him, he crafts everything he says with the right tone and mannerisms. He knows how to convey his points. The location was chosen well.
Am Confident the Concept has been Proven J4K
and they are now breathing that proverbial sigh of relief.
I am confident that Nolan means to do what he has set out to do. I am confident UFOC is now in place in a reasonable # of states. I am confident that the concept fits all generations and all types (the target demographic, kids, tweeners, guys, baby boomers, etc.). I am confident the concept has been proven in a Grade ‘C’ location. I am confident that there are developers with money that will want in.
Think about these thoughts:
Most Couples now both work, they eat out a lot. Those without kids will enjoy the concept over other places. Those with kids will enjoy it as well, and will be steered more quickly to uWink’s by their kids. Girls will go, guys will follow. Dates will bring others and meet other couples. Singles will seek singles. Kids will bring their friends. Baby Boomers will bring their grankids. Malls will want the traffic draw a uWink will bring them. They will build them, and we all will come to spend our money. Nolan has created an ever-changing social lab that everyone will want to play in.
We have changed as a nation. We like to eat out, and we like to be entertained instead of entertaining ourselves (the old days). Kids are grown on games, the adults are installing Media Rooms (I have one). Combining food, fun, and media When we Go Out is brilliant!
FWIW:
Had 28K shares when I first joined and posted on this board,
the steady trend gave me time and reason to continue to add.
Frankly, never thought I would ever be in for so much (128K),
but this is no ordinary opportunity to me, with max profit potential.
Of course, if I am proven wrong, it’s going to take over 58 years to write this off (will never make it). But if I am right…it’s going to be a 24/7/365 yearly blast spending the profits. At 52 or 32 you still gotta play all games to the max when the odds are in your favor. I am clearly wanting to play this one more... then any other right now…
I trust it will be a big day
for the restaurant, for the company, and also for Nolan.
I doubt it will bring much change to the PPS tomorrow
unless we get some quick PR releases. Am looking forward
to the Grand Opening Event as it will mark the next phase.
My belief (or is it faith in management) is that the PR gates
will now be flung open and the path will lead to steady gains.
It will be interesting to see how each franchise announcement
(whenever they occur) affects the future PPS from this point on.
Since I have been waiting a couple of years for this GO event,
I can certainly wait for the next events to come (to drive PPS).
Jews4K:
My buds Scandalls and Mark will both be there.
Are you Going to GO tomorrow?
As long as we are wishing today...
I would just like to have a share price over $2.00
going into the Grand Opening tomorrow. Going to be
a very dull day if the volume does not pick up by lunch.
GO PR:
Tomorrow Night:
The official celebration will be held from 6:00pm - 10:00pm.
I would hope there Will Be PR releases about uWink and the JDRF Event as soon as Friday. Would be absolutely great news to read some franchise info to be also included, however that happy thought is probably very optimistic (as paperwork always takes time to ratify). Anyway, with the UFOC now in place in a number of States, hopefully such details and deals are not far away...
Scandalls:
uWink franchise players - focus on MULTIPLE-UNIT:
Because of their innovation uWink will be able to pick who they want as franchisees. I am quite sure there is a filter process in place to qualify real franchise players. As I understand it there are Area Developers all over the country who have the ability to buy large territories of multiple franchises. I would bet that it is the Developers that uWink is going after, not the Mom and Pop operation.
From the 10QSB:
"Our longer term growth strategy is to open additional company-owned and/or company-managed restaurants in new markets and to franchise our concept, focusing on MULTIPLE-UNIT area development agreements with experienced operators. We are targeting a mix of one-third company-owned restaurants and two-thirds franchised restaurants. We expect we will also seek to generate additional revenue through the sale of media equipment to franchisees."
When are you leaving for California?
BTW: Mark will be arriving there today...
Curious if other folks here will be there.
Just added another 2500 shares.
Currently Holding (Long) 128,000 UWNK Shares.
My investor side looks at their PR event
as a superb move to not only showcase the
restaurant, but to garner some great publicity.
(Not meaning to sound too crass about it..)
Remember, the "soft" opening (the test phase)
is behind us as of this Thursdays Grand Open.
All the traffic has been word of mouth so far.
I would now expect to see a large PR blitz to
to be timed around GO, or shortly after the GO.
I also expect that uWink franchise announcements
are really not that far off now, since the UFOC
is now approved in a quantified number of states.
A uWink Christmas may well come early for a lot of us,
I will wait for next XMAS to open most of my presents...

Grand Opening Celebration In Two Days!
uWink to Host Charity Event for Juvenile Diabetes at Grand Opening Celebration for New Restaurant
Special Guests will be Treated to uWink's Unique Combination of Food, Drinks and Digital Media
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--uWink, Inc. (OTCBB: UWNK - News), a publicly held digital entertainment company, will host a charity Grand Opening event benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) on November 30, 2006. The celebration will be held at uWink's newly opened Woodland Hills location from 6:00pm - 10:00pm.
The invitation-only event will offer guests the opportunity to experience uWink's innovative combination of food, drinks and media first-hand while helping raise awareness and funds for the JDRF, the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide.
"We are so excited to be able to leverage the buzz and excitement around the opening of the first uWink restaurant to help fight a disease that has personally touched so many families, including my own," said Mr. Bushnell, chief executive officer at uWink, Inc. "So many children who suffer from juvenile diabetes are robbed of a normal childhood and are unable to experience all the activities that come so easily to healthy children. We understand that longing for fun, entertainment and social connectivity; our restaurant was built on that exact premise. We hope that by joining with the JDRF we're able to help these kids get one step closer to a cure."
The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Type 1 diabetes is a disease which strikes children suddenly and requires multiple injections of insulin daily or a continuous infusion of insulin through a pump to manage the disease's symptoms. There is no known cure for diabetes, which can eventually cause kidney failure, blindness, heart disease, stroke, and amputation. The JDRF estimates that as many as three million Americans may be suffering from type 1 diabetes.
uWink is an entirely new restaurant concept that combines food, drinks, and entertainment - inviting guests to eat, drink and play at the same time, from their tables. The first restaurant opened last month at the Westfield Promenade in Woodland Hills, California. uWink is the latest innovation from Nolan Bushnell, the founder and former CEO of Atari and the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant chain - now CEC Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE:CEC - News). Guests order food, drinks and media directly via touchscreen terminals at their tables while uWink runners deliver guests' selections quickly and accurately. Guests can participate in the entire uWink experience as a single table, engage other tables, or eventually interact with guests and tables at other uWink restaurants.
Attendance at uWink's grand opening celebration is by invitation only. For information on receiving an invitation, please send an email to benefit4diabetes@yahoo.com. For more information on the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, please visit www.jdrf.org.
