The anticipation of fins is killing me. Ahhhhhhhhh!! ...ntek
I think we agree. Good sign to see pps hold.
Lets get this party started!! Show us the $$$$!!!
What's the ir email? Tks in advance
I have to say to close at 10 is very impressive considering yesterday's run, was expecting to see a huge red finish today. Strong like bull
Thanks the ihub app monitor on my phone didn't update showing 9. Glty
Did it close at 9 or 10?
congrats
Def got P&D'd here. Where'd L2 go? dump complete. Hopefully the new acquisitions/mergers and projects get done in the next month and the pps responds.
this wall to 10 is getting annoying
Anyone care to post an l2 snap? is it thin past 10?
agreed. fins today?
If I doubted the company that much, I'd sell my shares, not planning on doing that anytime soon.
This is more than just how to set up your Nuvola box.
Sales training takes longer, especially when combined with other 4k TV training initiatives. Coordinating the actual training, training materials, etc. take time with large brick and mortar retailers.
First let me say I respect your work here, but we're going to have to agree to disagree. If you can explain why it takes "months" to train your salesforce to use this simple device, I'm with you.
MOREOVER, if it is as conveyed (regarding online research)
then I suspect those buyers will EXECUTE a good percentage
of their BUYS in the very same manner.
Each store, chain, big-box retailer needs to be able to service
THEIR CUSTOMERS that HAVE NOT been following NTEK
or 4K the past year!!!
Furthermore, not EVERYONE will wish to use the product
in the same setting, way, etc.. What a younger adult
values in technological applications & synergies to
current technologies is VASTLY different to how a 50yr
old may consider the purchase.
VALUE & BENEFITS. The salesperson may NOT know all the
ins & outs, but the MANAGERS MUST!!! And they will do their
best to ensure that others are well-versed in helping ALL
customers,...not just the "Type A's".
If the GLOBAL POPULATION is nearly 7Billion, 20mm 4K
TV's are expected to be sold this year GLOBALLY!!! Not
too many people KNOW about 4K. PERIOD!
The average customer doesn't care about the technical jargon about 4K. They just know it looks better than HD, it's the latest greatest and they want it. The one's that do care will research it themselves rather than rely on a Best Buy type salesperson. If they're like me, they won't even need the salesperson when they walk in the store.
Nonsense? No, I do not think it's nonsense to even go as far to say, "just hand the customer the remote first, then answer questions". Remember the research article on 4k tv sales in 2014 "seeing is believing". For the type A personalities who feel that the salesperson needs to be able to recite technical jargon that they don't even really understand - let's take a full blown 4hour course on the thing- powerpoint, do it up presentation and get the product on the floor.
This I believe is in regards to the NP-C(ommercial) device. Regardless you've seen an NP-1 Review where the reviewer has actually spent time with the device physically? I haven't, only what I've read from CES booth visit reports and the last one where the reviewer wrote about it before receiving his NP-1.
You'll have no argument with me about the merits of this company and the NP-1. I'm on board.
I just don't understand why NTEK hasn't done a better job marketing this thing and why they've been so quiet lately. I know they're at a trade show right now, etc. but you have gold in your possession and the electronic mass media hasn't picked up on it yet - why? Have you made efforts to email websites, magazines, etc? I understand we don't have a big budget for marketing, but why haven't we heard about this? Have you thought about sending loaner units out for review - like pre CES. If David and team had to hand build them at the point, so what? cheap marketing and make sure they understand it's a pre-production prototype. How much would that have cost?
I do believe however that if a legit box store is PR'd and the reviews do finally start to come out, this will all be moot. I'm in a snarky mood today what can i say.
Really? Assuming the 100 stores have at least on demo NP-1 on hand -
Instructions to sales manager:
Do the following in front of your sales people:
1. Open NP-1 Box
2. Plug it in
3. Connect to store network
4. Start surfing 4K
Make sure they are aware, it's the only 4k streaming device currently out, streams as low as 6mpbs, etc.
Done - If it takes longer than 10 minutes for someone to figure the device out, maybe I'll start questioning why I bought stock in NTEK and their ability to put out a competitive set top box out there.
DOES NOT TAKE MONTHS
Even if it is a lie, which remains to be seen, I still wouldn't sell my shares at this point, that'd be ridiculous.
I'm guessing there's more to it than that, hopefully it's them being modest again - overestimating the time it will take to hit the shelves. Point being, no one really knows, so it's pointless blather we're engaging in, wait and see.
It's the ONLY 4k STREAMING DEVICE ON THE MARKET!!!! It will sell itself right now. Just have a demo streaming Netflix or something, let the customer navigate w/ remote -SOLD. It's $299 and you need it to watch 4K.
"The tv already has 4k apps on it".
Ok, wait until they get home and discover they don't have the proper bandwidth to stream the 4K. They'll be back. - sold.
If I were NTEK, I'd want to stress to the retailers that they tell their salesforce:
1. It's the ONLY Streaming device out there - 4k
2. You can stream 4k as low as 6mbps - try doing that with ANY OTHER 4K TV built in app out there - You CAN't and by the way, let me introduce you to the NP-1.
3. It's so much more than Netflix, let's take a look at some of the apps like Moving Murals, etc.
Not rocket science, definitely not MONTHS of training required. I'll compromise, maybe up to 10 minutes required.
Well we actually agree on something here, I don't think it takes "months" either.
Until NP-1's physically materialize in public view at box stores, IR responses are all shareholders have. There's been no NP-1 reviews, no talk from store employees in forums, nothing. Do I personally think they're coming? yes. It's testing my patience however.
To go back to the "training taking months" thing. If they ship with instructions on how to hook it up to your network at home, I seriously think apart from that, my 90 year old grandmother could operate it. If not, they should go back and redesign the interface because Roku's, AppleTV's, Xbox's and Playstations are that simple to use. Plug it in and use it. There's nothing to train. Hand your employee the remote and give them 5 minutes - training complete.
Consumer: "How does it work"
Salesman: "Have you ever used the ROKU or an AppleTV?"
COnsumer: "yes"
Salesman: "It's just as easy, plug it in and start enjoying 4K".
Consumer: "no"
Salesman: "You're going to be asked to connect to a network, just like you would a Nook, Kindle or laptop - or you can plug your ethernet cable directly into the unit. Just follow the included instructions to connect to your network, turn it on and start watching 4K."
Games? "Navigate to the games icon just like you would an app/channel. Power on your controller and start playing".
What am I missing here?
I received communication from NTEK stating "Retail shipments have started". It could mean they already have them I suppose, do you have confirmation of that?
As far as educating their sales force, have you every operated one of these set top box devices. They truly are plug and play. I don't see the NP-1 being much different do you? What kind of training do we need here?
IMO:
1. plug it in
2. turn it on
3. navigate to a 4k channel/app
4. press play when you get to desired video
We are that much closer, I agree with you there.
Hopefully not put there to help someone with a lot of shares to get out.
NTEK being very quiet. Makes me nervously optimistic. IR confirms that NP-1's are in the hands of reviewers & that box store employees aren't likely to leak anything only to lose their jobs. Something brewing, good or bad, it's going to get a lil crazy here soon.
from the other board (not a response directed towards me). Dated 2/12:
"Email from EV today (ev24903@gmail.com):
We will be posting updates very soon. While Mr.Ortiz helped the company while he was here, the company was in business before he came on-board, and the company is still in business and growing after his departure. The content that we acquired with Clark, is being processed and so is the 3D app. Clark is focusing on SWRF, because TDEY is now ready with new acquisitions and a full new management team. If you observe the past, Clark and I worked hard to operate several of these companies, and then, ( by design), hired new CEO's and management to carry on the PLAN! ( Just look at PBHG, PRPM and now TDEY).
We should see Clarks departure as a positive and not a negative. As we explained in PR, Clark and his crew will complete what they started for TDEY and the new management will continue the implementation of the business plan and fulfill our goals and objectives.
The management and I are very comfortable and excited about the company's future and the overall market segment and our direction.
My phone number and email has been posted and I welcome any shareholders inquiries.
You have my permission to post this as well.
Edward Vakser. ( 214-418-6940 )"
I have no opinion on this really. Just passing it along.
slap that ask folks let's end today's games with a decisive break in the .002's!
f'ing mm's holding bid down
oversold big time here
Would you not be wanting a NP-1 like yesterday& buy without hesitation!!!!???
"Remember that ihub represents less than 50 customers", I'd say that's high, anyway...
Your NP-1 in 3rd production run of units? Holy crap.
l2 good stuff here, besides the anticipated completion of one of their projects to be announced and the two acquisitions by 3/15/14, what other news do you anticipate? tks
SAR just flipped on the 1min chart!!
wow this thing could actually bounce back to a new hod
Psar should bring in some technicals this week. Gonna be a fun ride when license pr hits.
Kind of hope you are right I'm playing a few other day positions with the hope of adding more ntek in a few days/week. Could use the luck tks. Regardless of the facts when the box store pr gets dropped we will see new highs, new hype. All good.
I see that makes more sense to me, I am watching with interest thanks.
That'd be something
Really?! Sorry not up on my mj lingo.
What's 4.20?
Although the np-1 is going to be a huge catalyst for ntek I love that they are so much more than 4k streaming. It's "all good" as they say. $$$
