jb, as a new poster to our board, I do understand your interest in clarifying the value of VPLM's patents. However, without knowing who your "friends" are in the VOIP industry, let me respond by suggesting that VPLM would NOT have the BOD it has (Tucker, Candy and Sawyer) unless THEIR assessment of the IP was solid and based upon CAREFUL metrics of evaluation established by their EXTENSIVE experience in telecommunications.
Furthermore, the fact that VPLM's law firm has direct ties to MSFT and SKYPE is not lost on most of us.
The fact that Microsoft ATTEMPTED to patent lawful intercept and failed, reflects their EXPERT assessment in the VALUE of the IP related to this technology, vis a vis SKYPE.
Mobile Gateway and RBR are simply enormous in their IP coverage of VOIP technology.
So, I guess you can either listen to your "friends and executives", or not....up to you...
I'm listening to my board and I think most of the shareholders here are quite COMFORTABLE with our assessment of the value of the IP.
But we do thank you for your "concern"
So does SKYPE
Remember, Mobile Gateway, MG was allowed by USPTO.
VPLM filed a continuation application to STRENGTHEN IT.
I am VERY optimistic about this company.
I just think that the company, their lawyers AND the patent office have been working well together and making progress that will benefit the shareholders
IMHO, the patent office has been extremely supportive of VPLM's IP. It simply takes time for the patent office to review the issues surrounding the strengthening of the patents that have already been APPROVED. This is GOOD STUFF.
Enjoy your holidays, and the celebrate your good fortune of being a VPLM shareholder
Happy Thanksgiving to all VPLM Shareholders!
I think that VPLM has had a stellar track record on the patent side. I am very optimistic
someone may have had a big profit and needed the cash - who knows
I agree with this post 100%
I am a buyer here....in my opinion nothing has changed but the share price.
To everyone else, do what YOU are comfortable with....
This BOD is likely NOT interested in the daily share price, as Spec said...
The company is spending its time strengthening patents that have been ISSUED. This is GOOD for us.
Maybe the BOD is focused on making a deal and could care less about someone selling a block of stock and the resultant MM games
50 Day MA is around 15.50....I'm not a fortune teller, but things are shaping up for another move higher....of course, news would change everything re: technicals
I have seen this SO many times. People get their hopes up on a specific timeline and when it doesn't come to be, it becomes doom and gloom.
I doubt Tucker, Candy and Sawyer give a hoot about anyone's time lines. They are playing "Let's Make a Deal"...the big boy game
The company has been working to STRENGTHEN the patents, which MAY be causing some delays in the receipt of the CERTIFICATES. It is NOT a problem...
Why are people panicking?
Oh, I know, because they haven't announce a buyout for 25 Billion dollars by now....
LMAO
I disagree with your comments about "little support". The 100 day MA is rising and sits around 15-15.50. The bollinger bands are tightening, and all other indicators (MACD, stochastics) are shaping up for another push HIGHER. We will never see 5 cents.
I also do NOT read this as VPLM "acquiring" anything...
I read it as their stated goal has always been....and was stated
on the conference call a couple of months ago
"TO BE ACQUIRED"
I think this PR informs us that having patent certs IN HAND is an important step in the process to the BOD of VOIP PAL. ALL patents have been "issued"....the certs are the FINAL STEP.
I trust this BOD, so I have no reason to wonder about it.
I guess we'll find out how large of a short position there is when the company is sold and the shares are called in
Cannot wait!
could not agree more....
NOTHING has changed in terms of the company's fundamental value
HUGE IP
Great BOD
Whatever the circumstances, the FUNDAMENTALS of VOIP PAL remain unchanged.
SOLID IP with HUGE revenue and legal implications for the VOIP industry
Stellar Board of Directors
Debt resolved
Looks like a bargain to me
The way I view it, it's one of two possibilities
Short sellers take out a website designed to make the company look weak by self promotion.
Impatient shareholders trying to get the stock up by going rogue
Either way, it will pass...the fundamentals of this company remain unchanged
Great board
Huge IP portfolio
Looks very cheap here
In my opinion only, I think that it is unlikely that the company, itself had AnYTHING to do with this marketing attempt. I do NOT believe that this board of directors would use a website to promote the value of VPLM.
The IP's value stands on its own. Tucker,Sawyer and Candy are pros...
...
I wish people were more patient....
When the # outstanding increases AND the value goes up 5x, it tells you that market thinks that the company is investing its capital wisely, and securing the IP was WISE.
Now, the universe of companies that use VOIP must decide what value to place on that IP...
Pump and dump?.........nahhhhhhhh
OTC is down. Nothing is trading. Be patient while they work it out.
Actually, it looks like the sellers have vanished......never short a dull stock.....looks ready to run again, to me, anyway.....
Mobile gateway is granted . The paper is a formality. They got all 5 patents.
While the issue of litigation is relevant, the fact is, some large company is going to want this IP so they can control their OWN destiny. And unless ALL of the big players get together in some private room and ALL decide not to buy Voip Pal, I think a buyout is far more likely.
Seriously people.. Look at the chart of this stock and tell me it's "boring"....if this is boring, give me more....all this company does is execute, and still people complain
Sigh
this looks like a good short term support area on the 1 month chart.....
If you sell the stock before a year and leave the funds in your account without withdrawing, you STILL pay taxes on the gain, which must be reported, as it will be by the broker. Hopefully, many of us can scratch out some long term gains...
Good luck to all...
TBTJ
I trust our law firm...I'm not about to speculate about this issue...We have a great law firm, an amazing board, and enough IP to dominate the VOIP industry...
I like our chances.....
I could not agree more....well said
I actually find this stock to be VERY exciting, even as it consolidates at MUCH higher levels. The stock has moved up strongly over the past 3 months, and is holding good gains....in the mean time, the overbought technical is gradually moving toward a better time to move higher....
All good here from my point of view
I think that the board of VPLM (Tucker, Candy &Sawyer) are HIGHLY capable of negotiating on our behalf, as they have done for others previously. They know what the IP is worth, and that's all that matters. VOIP IS the future of telecommunications and we are very fortunate to be shareholders in a company that owns such important IP.
Excellent post. Look at the tremendous rise in the share price since January 1. Look at the IP. Look at the board of directors.
Get a clue
Imagine a WIFI word.Your land line is only needed for an emergency (natural disaster), otherwise, all of your calls are VOIP protocol....
Imagine the value of the Voip Pal IP in this world of WIFI and needing mobile gateway, LI for security, 911 for emergency, RBR for the billing....
Pretty important technology.....and economically, quite valuable.....
what makes you think he can't see it....How could a person not see it. Just LI alone and the fact that MSFT was attempting to patent it (UNSUCCESSFULLY), refutes his comments....
And I guarantee you, Tucker, Sawyer, and Candy did a proper vetting before tying their reputations to Voip Pal
Prove this statement
"But the DTCC know a share selling scam when they see one, which is why they have issued a chill on VPLM:"
FACTS only, please....we are ALL EARS
interesting how you left out a few things....
RBR
LI
911
MG
All granted....
A SUPERIOR board...
Their cash position doesn't seem to be causing shareholders much concern....
