I thought that they already did."The finalized Purchase Contract comprises an end price of $180 million USD dollars, for the purchase of an 85% ownership in the entire group of One Thousand Five Hundred Eight (1,508) minerals claims. The Altos de Lipangue owners retain a 15% “free-carried” interest in the properties and all production thereafter. Payments include an initial deposit followed by block remittances each 9 months over a 3-year period and a payout at the end of the 3rd year. Until payment is received in full, the purchasers do not earn any ownership interest in the properties. The purchasers may, at any time, complete the purchase of their 85% interest by way of making full payment of the $180 million, or remaining portion thereof."
"At the conclusion of the development program, the gross metal values will be recalculated and, if this value exceeds the present base calculations of Two (2) billion dollars, the purchase price will be increased to the benefit of Medinah Minerals (Chile) S.A. owners. "
What about Medinah Minerals US ?
$180 million. the deal was stated done. That was the news. What difference does it make who bought it . The deal won't be worth any more. Junior, senior, or start up . Waiting forever isn't going to increase the $180 million is it?
From March 23rd..From Official MM site
"Management has undertaken the interview of several prospects. Management has settled on a highly qualified Securities Lawyer who is presently reviewing all Company files and issues past, present, and future. His services are highly sought out by numerous corporations and we are thrilled that he has agreed to be retained. Management will travel to Florida in April to formally engage his legal services."
In my personal opinion Not many companies would be busy doing all of their own transactions without the assistance of a Lawyer to make sure that all of their imminent transactions went along smoothly, with no fear of going belly up because the dots and crosses were not in the right place.
Q2 and A2 From April 5th ( a repeat) of the March 23rd Q and A it is kind of a non event.
IMO this would have been a BIG and important priority. Why do they have to wait until 4 days before they plan to go to Chile when he was already retained.? Did he get all the company files before he was retained? JUST MY OPINION
I used to think long term. I no longer do. You are right. I have divested myself of most of my shares today. Some I will retain along with my spin-off shares that I don't have and let whatever happens happen. It feels rather nice to actually know where I'm at. No more waiting for next week. Now that I have done that watch this stock shoot up. GLTA
So there is no rush. 10% more shares in 10 days and those that choose can hang onto them for another 10 years. After all this is the NEVER ENDING STOCK PLAY.
Thanks computer glitch I guess
I still can't get over the fact that MDMN said DONE DEAL at the Feb 2012 meeting .Shortly thereafter CDCH was talking about a JV with them at their taped meeting. Then NPER seems to be enjoying the mdmn ride. Without information ,speculation ,and WAG's are so much fun. The suspense is better than a good novel.
Nothing should take any longer because it is Chile.
Nice site with lots of information for anyone that wants to travel and see THE mountain.

Not to be rude but as an MDMN shareholder is that on the official company web site that I look at. That is where I would like to find all pertinent information. It may be there and I missed it. I'll look again. Maybe it even directs me there. Sorry no need to post again.
Q: Have any documents been filed by Medinah with finra?

I do rely on the company web for my information. Can someone point me to the dividend has changed section please?

From Investopedia.com
1. Lack of Information Available to the Public
The key to any successful investment strategy is acquiring enough tangible information to make informed decisions. For micro-cap stocks, information is much more difficult to find. Companies listed on the pink sheets are not required to file with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and are thus not as publicly scrutinized or regulated as the stocks represented on the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq. Furthermore, much of the information available about micro-cap stocks is not from credible sources.
2. No Minimum Standards
Stocks on the OTCBB and pink sheets do not have to fulfill minimum standard requirements to remain on the exchange. Sometimes, this is why the stock is on one of these exchanges. Once a company can no longer maintain its position on one of the major exchanges, the company moves to one of these smaller exchanges. While the OTCBB does require companies to file timely documents with the SEC, the pink sheets have no such requirement. Minimum standards act as a safety cushion for some investors and as a benchmark for some companies.

This is becoming about as clear as swamp water .If not ex and not restricted, and not divi. Why can't they be sold? I was told a company restructuring. I'm obviously special getting spin offs the optimum word being GETTING ( I wish I could tape it ) This is all only things that I have heard , I am not trying so spin anything. Some sort of clarity about something would be nice. Lets all start guessing who the the company is? hmmmm or just keep trading MDMN for what it is worth.
10% of 0 is 0 10 % of lots really adds up. If my unrestricted shares show up tonight. I may take your advice and sell them all in the morning.
thanks
Everything I have to say is hearsay. What I was told over the phone from my brokerage company.
They didn't say too much. Mine aren't classified as a divi. but spin-off. They weren't terribly forthcoming. Company sort of restructuring, is what I was told. My conversation with brokerage was taped. I guess they can only say so much.
Just spoke with my broker. They also said no restrictions. I guess the early bird gets the worm. I wonder if only the shareholders shares are free trading ? Original was 6 months for sh 1 year for company. Have they come out with a statement to say otherwise? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I will look harder at the official company web site. I find it difficult to follow sometimes.

Do the stated sec rules not apply to the shares ? Oh they must?
Anyone get their ( dividend . spin-off .. etc. ) yet? Not me.
Anything as long as it's not 'next week'
Oh well if you bought at .06 and sold at .11 (or anything in-between) you likely made more than the dividend would provide. IMO great company
just a thought
So what does it have to do with? Let us all know.
deleted
If they get nothing else would they be hanging on to get a few extra shares? IMO
Yes but the Done Deal is all on video, tape, private video, etc. The taped meeting of Cerro Dorado had me slightly confused? I have no doubts. I don't think I do. all IMO
DEQUOY likely my broker does as well. I haven't received what my brokerage is calling SPIN-OFF shares into my account yet. Unsubstantiated quote. "These are not dividends they are SPIN-OFF shares"
I didn't tape it so I can't qualify . What the difference is I do not know. I was actually wondering if those that are stating that they have unrestricted shares already deposited (ahead of said date) would be able to sell those shares. Old, new, some or all?
I do believe I will hold onto all of mine for a nice little gain when all the dust settles.
I just like to ask questions while in the process of learning.
I was trying to find the article I read where last time restricted shares were deposited into some accounts unrestricted. (IMO)( I think ) I'm unfamiliar with spin off shares. My broker may of misstated something but clearly said that my share would not be a dividend but were spin off shares valued at .01. Means nothing to me . I wish I had asked a few more questions.
Why not? IMO that would be extremely unjust. Anyone having a substantial number of shares worth ( I think they were valued at .01) would have the right to sell those shares Monday Morning? and at what price. Shareholders that bought in at some higher levels might be at a disadvantage? Don't you think?
I'm not implying that anyone would do this .
Mine are called spinoff shares from my broker not dividend
If you listen very closely at about 3:55 on the cdch live feed a little toung slip (sounds like to me) we at medinah.
so it must be medinah related.
They are discussing MDMN so I would like to think that it is open for fair and unbiased discussion on this board. Am I wrong?
I just listened to the cdch live shareholder meeting and found minutes 4:38 to 4:55 rather interesting in light of the fact that MDMN has a done deal. This is not intended to be a bash of any sort , I would however be interested in an opinion from someone in the know.

njx I just noticed this.

Just so that everyone has something else to speculate about. IMO Heavens forbid that everything be laid out so that no one is confused.

How many were there last year?
About dividend dates
http://groupssa.com/understandingdividenddates.html
ARE those shareholders buying shares today and for the next few days going to become the recipients of someones new ex dividend shares?
A real question not meant to be a pump.

Thanks again . You seem to have a good handle on some of the mining stocks.
Trades show on the tsx I guess as AGD
Thanks bought way too soon at about 14
