Hi CloakedProtector,
I think I missed the last RFP that is being discussed right now.... has there been one issued at this time? and what are the dates associated with it?
That would be great if Peregrine can receive some type of contract and take advantage of all the antibodies that they may have built up over the past months!
I'm looking forward to many months of good news starting here on in and lets get atleast to $5 over the next couple months.... $10 by end of summer and $20 by years end.
$57 break even point.... I think that is just about impossible unless your buy in point was $12 when we hit that 8-9 years ago or whenever it happened. My break even I'd say is about $5.50.... maybe down to $5 now I'll have to recheck I was able to pick up some more shares in the last month.
I am jealous of the ones that have just bought in over the last few months for the first time.... : ) now they don't have to sweat out the agony of stock price going down and buying more shares to average down... everything is up .. up and away for them and for all of us because we're all making money this year!
The increase in interest for a partner or buyout increases with this news. Its a much higher write off.... I'll have to increase my buyout price to $57 dollars. : )
I didn't realize all those previous posts by Umass.... I am sure we all want Peregrine to succeed and giving our opinions of how high the stock "could" go if all goes as planned. I will have to say that this is the year we'll find out more than any of the past 10 years.
Hopefully the patience will pay off finally.
Hi Umass..
I believe you mentioned in a previous post that you work in a hospital? if so... are there any cancer treatments that were in trial there over the past 10 years or so.... that were approved or failed?
Cjgaddy,
Thanks for the info... the spell check changes roth to doth...lol. Has anyone here converted a rollover to a roth with pphm? The potential to make money is one aspect of this stock but now to have most of it tax free will be one key to retiring and golfing all day : )
Roth..
I will be selling starting at $40.... I did convert half my rollover ira in pphm to a doth when the stock was under $2.... so once this gets up to $40.... tax free sweet money! Have some patience and we will all be in the money
4 Presentations at AACR allows some analysts to initiate coverage on Peregrine with a buy and target price.
Who will be the smart analysts out there that will jump on board and be the early adopters of Peregrine instead of the laggards and jump on in after we've made our big move upward?
Lets go Analysts.... start earning your paycheck
I hope Bavi is not in these trials because if they were found to be in them.... thats proving that they have just lost major faith in their treatment with Bavi.
Lets not think the way of why is PPHM not in Bavi.... lets think of the mitigation of risk that these bio pharmaceuticals need to take by merginng their agents and hoping one of them works. Its a leading sign that this may be a game changer in how a company can leverage their agents.... they obviously don't want to merge the entire companies so taking part in simply merging agents and they all share in the development if one is successful.
Bavi does not need to mitigate risk because they have the home run of Bavi... and Cotara ....
Sit back and enjoy the ride up to $5... and $10... and $20... then we'll see someone swooping in to really want to make a deal.
This is very good news! I just wonder why Peregrine didn't want to hold onto that technology and try developing themselves, my guess would be at the time they didn't have the resources and money to have major trials going on and I'm glad they were able to secure up to 17,750,000 if all goes as predicted with R84...
Now I'd love to see some new with Peregrine this week... they have to have something within the company that they can make public!
Dilution of $75M sale of ATM at this price or any price higher is minimal impact to the overall future of this stock. I believe we have to look at the overall picture and with successful trials continuing into this year and fda approval this can "easily" handle the extra dilution .... that has not happened yet. What will the total shares be.... say 65M shares + additional 25M ... takes us to about 90M shares.
Lets just try and compare to a company that is almost in the same league... take EXEL that is also taking their cancer drug into Phase III later this year. EXEL has total shares out of about 108M shares and has risen recently from $2 to over $10 today. This is without Phase III even starting .... and without the pipeline as PPHM has... and without the experience that PPHM has in AVID.
Lets face it... PPHM is way undervalued and Blackrock is one of the first .. along with DART that has realized this and jumping on board. EXEL has close to 70% Institutional ownership and PPHM will be in the same position by years end.
Thats this year... 2011 all in my opinion and let the games begin. We are all here because we have our hard earned money in this stock and the hard work has been completed already by PPHM... this upcoming year is the marketing and presentation of results to FDA and hopeful approvals and lets just hope they present their trials well and there are too many positive signs over the past year that tells me... including BlackRock and DART that we are on the verge of a once known high risk stock.... about to reward the longs with a much higher high return on investment.
so taking us to $5... to $10... and popping to $20 by year end is very much possible! I've lost money and made money in many other stocks.... but this will be the one that many of us will talk about for a lifetime.
BlackRock, Inc purchased their way into Peregrine because they believe this stock is at its all time low and I don't think we'll ever see a price below 2.30 again... hopefully this is day 1 of a big uptrend towards $5 a share and even back out again for the push to $ 10 as we approach 60% Institutional Ownership.... then the announcement around ASCO time of FDA approval or similar big news for the push to $20 and up and up and away we go as we approach 80% Institutional Ownership... : )
On IHUB...click "PPHM detailed quote"... under the normal stock chart... and you'll see the updated 19% Institutional Ownership..
I see the 19% Institutional Ownership was recently updated on this website... IHUB... just click on "expanded" quote view for PPHM and there we have .. 19% ownership...
this site stays up to date
and I was going over like 20 other pharmaceuticals... and its amazing on how much institutional ownership is in the sector... some as high as 95% ... Not sure if anyone has a link to this but I'll make up a chart ... but time to get back to work here
Now showing 19% Institutional ownership! .... We will be increasing every month now and should be up to 40% relatively soon within 2 months. I can handle the ups and downs on the stock because I know eventually we will be making new higher hights on our way to a buyout or PPHM making the run themselves.
We just may see 60% Institutional Ownership ... and I hope you are right that its already close to the 20-25% mark because it basically is the true beginning of a long and steady rise of this stock.
BlackRock made another 13G filing earlier today with a big purchase of Verizon Communications and they own 6.06% of Verizon for a total of over 171 Million shares...
http://xml.10kwizard.com/filing_raw.php?repo=tenk&ipage=7388663
So this tells us that BlackRock is not just dipping their toes into Peregrine for some risky move.... they know brighter days are around the corner, just wait and see how many follow them into Peregrine and the more I read into this.... we really just may see 60% Institutional Ownership by year end!
I agree completely.... and all Peregrine needs now is 3-4 more buyers to capture 5% and we can get close to 40-50% Institutional ownership which is the key. Once the news starts hitting and we can reach 40% Institutional ownership thats when this stock will be flying high
Maybe they don't have the money to buy more shares of peregrine. Also... the employee stock options that are made available to them require them to pay for their shares and means they will be buying at much cheaper levels than we will..... they know its a win..win situation and clearly are not worried.
I am sure they all have bills like the rest of us and those come first. Once the day comes that Peregrine sky rockets....they will be millionaires on stock options alone.
Good things are to come.. maybe sooner than we all think
CNBC Squak Box 1/3/2011 had Myrtle Potter ( former President & Chief Operating Officer of Genentech 2000-20005 ) on the show to discuss todays pharmaceutical companies and the lack of new drugs and no major drugs in the pipeline. Avastin was being taken to market while Myrtle Potter was with Genentech but no mention about the latest FDA moves to take Avastin off the market.
She was asked about whether its time for the government to take more control on this industry and she is clearly against that... stating " Its up to private industry...." and also mentioned back when she was with Genentech that it was via mergers and acquisitions that the pipeline was restored for future success of the major BP's. She also stated " In todays big bio pharmaceutical companies... 65% ... thats 65% of todays sales revenue are coming from molecules that came from outside of their labs... "
thats from acquisitions .. mergers... looking at the industry innovators from small biotechs and picking them up at a premium. Its only a matter of time before ... before we get news that atleast we're in talks with someone.
What would PPHM's stock jump to if they were to disclose they were in talks... if someone approached PPHM?
With Avastin continued rejection by the FDA only gives more strength here for PPHM.... its only a matter of time folks... one day we will be waking up to news that will be the beginning of a few millionaires with some investors of Peregrine
I agree.... the wonder drug of 2011 and will be the talk of all the big bios and whether they should look seriously at buying Peregrine now or wait till its too late.
Does anyone know if Peregrine has any "names" already picked if and when the first FDA approval comes in.
Has to be better than Avastin though...
If this hits $60.... I may have to pass on the porsche but will go with a new minivan for the kids... and the rest will be for college tuition and start some type of nonprofit to keep busy. Oh... and should probably pay back the loan I took out to invest more money in this stock to average down. I know any financial adviser would be against that ...so I hope I can prove them wrong.
Good luck to everyone!... what does PPHM have in store for us..
I would hold for $60 pps ... just feel that they have what any big pharma will need this year ...especially as many of them are at the end of their patents and generics start appearing. I agree that the longer this goes on... the more I want. Before ... I would have been happy just get to even but now... I'm letting her ride because what started out as a long long long shot investment .... is turning into something much bigger than we can all imagine.
A buyout of 8 Billion would be nice... but I can't help in thinking that if someone were to present a buyout offer ... its going to have to be a great deal! Anyone that's ever purchased this stock would make money ... just wish I had Darts inner circle of ...luck.... to get in on the bottom.
Good luck to all... and hope we don't have to wait another 10 years to exit from this stock.
27 years and have 13k shares of pphm... I would have to say you just may be able to retire in your 30's.... let's hope we push thru $3 this morning and don't ever look back... actually by the time I finish this we just may hit $3 pls
Im still looking to read the pphm story in the ny times by may 15
Good luck all!
We finally catch the attention of some bio tech writers... how long is it before we end up on The New York Times? I will predict by May 15, 2011.
Let the good times roll
Peregrine sure does have too many trials ongoing and I will take this as they know their patented drugs are working and the fastest way to FDA approval is push along with collecting the data and bring Peregrine into the elite 'Standard Of Care' status.
Eventually... Im hoping that Bavi will become known as 'Bavicillin'... for the treatment of all enveloped viruses.
We should be hearing soon about gov't contract extension.... I don't think they will hold that off till the final days.
Bavicillin
I would agree that $10 is a low price target ... but I see it that due to all the success in trials and bringing quality staff into this organization in just the last year alone. I am looking forward to the day when many other analysts call this stock for they believe....the biggest pharmaceutical gained of 2011 IF we start with atleast one FDA approval and hopefully more to soon follow.
Or will everyone wait till we are sitting at $10 pps before they start placing a buy rating on PPHM.
Time will tell....
I am sure it would be interesting on who was asking and shifting this stock back down... for me I will be averaging down this upcoming week. The pros make money going up and down vs the small time investors try to make it only on the way up.
Good luck to everyone this month...I can't see this stock dropping much more

"Let her ride"........I agree that pphm could be one of greatest drug company story lines in history with multiple FDA approvals.. I mean we are talking progressing the cure for cancer and the hype would absolutely be there! Good luck to everyone and the question that remains will be ...how much of this stock do I sell on its way up? Just sit back and watch the movie .."Secretariat"... and I say let it ride... because this stallion is strong and we may have been eating dirt for a while.. but we are moving up fast.
"Let her ride"....
It will take a little more price per share for me to retire as well... but I am beginning to think that this long shot of a stock that I first started purchasing a few years ago has finally progressed to a point where the potential increases every month. $10 per share is likely this year but how long will it take to reach $30-50 a share?
Not sure about the rest of you.... but if we have multiple FDA approvals... $100 a share is not asking too much and with that ... then I can retire as well.
I don't see how 75 million is a problem.... or any major dilution at all. This 75 million clearly should soon show the demand for this stock and hopfefully its sold soon which will then give PPHM the advantage in making further deals with any of the BPs.... We can talk dilution problems if shares oustanding get to 500M ...etc but we are not even close to any type of dilution problem.
The rise of PPHM has already begun and we are not stopping anytime soon.
Enjoy the ride up everyone and good luck to those trying to make a buck shorting... but for those longs that have been here a while... enjoy the profits this year.
The 75 million I believe is part of their contigency plan to ensure they provide the company with the best chance of completing all trials and for final FDA approval... whether they partner or not. In my opinion we are scratching at the surface of the full potential here.... and its a matter of time before The Bill Gates Foundation takes a position here.
I totally agree.... its a matter of time before this puppy hits 30...40...50... a share and that for a 1.5 Billion market cap. If we see multiple FDA approvals, then we will surely see $100/share!
Let's hope for continued good news with these trials!
The positive side of the short interest is that when its time for this stock to run the squeeze will be on.... Im sure we will see the $10 dollar mark within 1 year.
Cjgdaddy... thanks for the info! I did see that there most recent CTO must be released to the public Sept of 2013..... but the CTO's of 2008/2009 I can't seem to find those release dates. I am curious to find out if anything will be disclosed this year from the first couple CTO's that were approved.... or if any extensions were files.
_Biopharm
Does anyone have any information on a site that we can verify what are the dates of release for all the Confidential Treatment Orders?
I can only find 4 CTO's that were submitted and approved by the SEC since 2008 but I am curious to find out the release dates on each submission that the information goes public and/or if any dates have been extended.
I'll be searching other biotechs that have similarly filed for CTO's and see what the information was after it was released to the public.
Lets all hope PPHM can reveal some good news soon
