Magnum Sampling Results Confirm Multiple Mineral Zones, Drill Targets Identified
Tuesday December 2, 11:23 am ET
Website: http://www.magnumexploration.com/
TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 2003-- Mr. John YEE, Chairman -Magnum d'Or Resources Inc. (OTCBB:MAGR - News) a junior resource exploration Company is pleased to announce that significant surface sampling results have been received from Rio Minerals Inc. (the Contractor) on the recent geological and geophysical work program carried out in Mongolia. Results and location maps will be posted on the website for detailed viewing. There are now four areas of significant interest in the two mineral licenses held under option by the Company.
Magnetite Hill ...(Nickel-Cobalt-Chromium) Zone is located in the northeast corner of License No.4767, and has returned sampling results of significant interest for nickel, cobalt, chromium, and the platinum group metals. Seven samples ranged from 0.05 % to 0.133 % and 0.163 % nickel. All samples were anomalous in platinum and palladium. The best values to date were 19 ppb in platinum and 15 ppb in palladium. A large magnetic anomaly that extends ESE for 10 kilometers was previously reported for Magnetite Hill. An IP survey was also carried out and results are pending. Geologists are evaluating a deposit model for Magnetite Hill.
The New Copper Zone ... was discovered late in October by Mr. G. Ganzorig, a Mongolian geologist in the employ of Rio Minerals on behalf of Magnum. Two outcrops 100 meters apart were found located approximately 3.5 kilometers southwest of Magnetite Hill. Four surface samples were taken here and the best copper assay obtained to date by all of the work was 0.429 % Cu in this zone of sparse outcrop. The precious metal content is gold -14 ppb, platinum - 2 ppb, and palladium - 8 ppb. The area surrounding the copper showings show conspicuous localized (epidote (+ potassic) alteration suggesting an underlying hydrothermal mineralized system. An IP survey was also conducted over this area. Results will be released when available.
The Copper /Gold Zone ... was the location of the best result from the May work program - 0.14 % Cu and 213 ppb in gold. This zone is a separate occurrence from the above zones, and is located in License No.4768, and is approximately 15 kilometers northwest of Magnetite Hill. Ten samples were taken in this area October/November. Once again the best gold result was obtained here - 118 ppb. Sample #95475 returned 6 ppb platinum and 9 ppb palladium respectively.
New Area of Interest ... Three samples were taken here in an area located approximately 3 kilometers southwest of the copper /gold zone. These were anomalously higher in iron than any of the other zones - 11.5 % Fe to 19.4 % Fe. The arsenic results were also highly anomalous - 0.17 % As to 0.29 % As. This is an interesting new area, which also shows the highest values in tungsten - 7 ppm and 4 ppm. The precious metals, gold, platinum, and palladium also reported well (8 ppb Pd in Sample # 95467). The second, third, and fourth highest molybdenum values of the 27 samples taken in this latest work program were found here - 10, 8, and 7 ppm. The best zinc values were also found here with a high of 96 ppm. The diversity of the metallic elements found here justifies a more thorough evaluation.
Regional Sampling ... Three regional samples were taken in the normal course of geological prospecting. Sample #95462 was the best of the three and was anomalous for molybdenum - 24 ppm, manganese - 1 %, high cobalt - 817 ppm, and the second highest platinum value of 17 ppb. The area-surrounding Sample #95462 will be examined more closely in the next phase of the work program.
Discussion of Sampling Program ...This phase of the program consisted of rock geochemistry with the samples being analyzed for 32 different elements. Eight samples are currently undergoing petrographic studies, and 9 samples are being re-run for rare earth elements (REE). Considering the size of the mining licenses (175,000 hectares), the short time spent in the field (3 weeks), and the scarcity of rock outcrops, the results from the 27 samples taken to date are considered by management to be highly encouraging. Along with the results from the geophysical surveys that were also carried out they will assist in the specific location of future diamond drill holes.
Mr. Reno CALABRIGO - President, stated, "It is very unusual to identify four separate mineral occurrences with excellent exploration upside so quickly, and with a very small capital outlay."
Mr. Ken SANDERS - P. Eng., Senior Geologist and Board Member is also pleased with the exploration results to date. Mr. Sanders stated, "That mineral exploration projects move progressively forward in stages verified by a steady flow of favorable results from the field. The next stage will include diamond drilling."

holding a position long term.
OT XMSR - oh no, I do follow the stocks I am in. What I said is that I sometimes keep track of stocks that I WAS on or that i was watching, so it´s nice to get em to my attention, indeed that is one of the biggest values of these boards: Many eyes looking at the market and sharing what they see.
Good trading!
one day I might have so much money that I can afford to lose track of where it is invested, lol.
Been watching KIWI for a while and got bored. Channeling right now, but getting close to break out watch.
I think a lot of ppl got burned on this one once, this always makes it harder for a stock to go to new levels and regain the confindence of buyers.
JVGI - incredible. Looked at it on the weekend and thought it was done here.... going from .001 to .08 ... so what is next? lol
He meant just that.
esteban & Spreads -
Spreads differ widely as you mentioned. This is due to various reasons, but in general, spreads have the effect of discouraging buyers. Some reasons:
- The float of the stock might be low, so the market for that stock is not very liquid. MMs dont have many shares, because there simply are not many shares existing.
- Low volume: Even though the float might be big enough, unpopular stocks often have big spreads too. Those stocks only have a very few trades every day, or only trade a few times in months. MMs try not to hold large amounts of those stocks.
- MM Games. MM play games on OTC all day. If they want to keep down buying pressure for whatever reason, they spread the bid / ask, even though float and volume might be great. This may serve as a test how serious buyers are. E.G., SIDY spread to .10x.12 when buying came in..... than trades stopped shortly, as buyers were rethinking their decision. When the Ask at .12 got smacked, the spread tightend to .115x.12.
Guess this about taking the golden middle. I like it very much to get updates on stocks which I was in or watch during the trading hours, because my small brain cannot process all the info, so I forget plays sometimes. But, it is not necessary to post every single uptick or downtick, level II shift and last trade size like it happend on ATNG today.
However, it is nice to let the board know if something substantial happens, e. g. that the wall at .05 goes down, that SCHB finally switched from Ask to Bid, volume´s heating up and so on.
Hard to define the difference here.
Guess everybody should honestly ask himself if the contend he or she is posting adds value to the board, in regard of the fellow posters.
My 2 cents.
Very True chipped.
If you like to post your pick every 5 minutes, you might find friends at www.stockgappers.com/chat.htm - the real time version of Niz´s board.
OT no caps please
Never too early to take a profit .... lol
MAGR waking up again .... .193x.195
HGRD - I like that creeping up. One day it will go boom like LNXGF ... Patience to be rewarded. Thanks for the great picks
XMSR ... thanks for WIZD. Nice pick.
chipped´s WIZD .74x.75 heating up
MAGR yes, sooner or later. imo
HGRD gapping up .53x.55 ... nice .. eom
OT APOA - unless they decide not to file and move to the pink sheets, news should be out any day now in form of the quarterly report. But not a break out play.
Doubloon - cant find any late fridays news on FWGO
maybe SSPI - one of the few VoIP plays under $2 that hasnt run very yet.

Excellent DD.
I refer from this that WAVAP.OB is worthless and no longer connected to the prospering Wachovia business?
WAVAP - that is very interesting, but when looking at the filings I got lost. Here is what confuses me:
So our WAVAP.OB is the Wachovia Preferred Funding Corp. in that picture.
But what is WAVAP.OB in fact? It is some part of leftover (or "survivor") from the merger between Wachovia and First Union.
Wachovia Preferred Funding Corp.
We are a Delaware corporation, formed in July 2002 and the survivor of a merger with First Union Real Estate Asset Company of Connecticut, which was formed in 1996. Our principal business objective is to hold and manage mortgage assets and other authorized investments that will generate net income for distribution to our shareholders. We are qualified as a real estate investment trust, or REIT, for Federal income tax purposes. As a REIT, we generally will not be required to pay Federal income tax on distributed income if we distribute at least 90% of our earnings to our shareholders and continue to meet a number of other requirements as discussed below.
Upon the merger, we became a direct subsidiary of the Bank and an indirect subsidiary of Wachovia. In November 2002, the Bank transferred certain assets, including 99.85% of our common stock and 87.62% of our Series D preferred securities, to Wachovia Preferred Holding in exchange for additional shares of Wachovia Preferred Holding common stock, and as a result we became a direct subsidiary of Wachovia Preferred Holding.
So we have a REIT which acts in some (?) connection with Wachovia Corporation....?
Wachovia Corporation (NYSE: WB) is the nation's fifth largest bank holding company, the largest retail banking franchise on the East Coast, and the third largest full-service retail brokerage firm nationally. We believe Wachovia's depth of expertise, breadth of products, multiple delivery choices, and financial strength create long-term value. Our goal is to be regarded as the nation's premier financial services company by doing what's right for shareholders, customers, and employees.
So what it comes down to for me is: What is the value/purpose of the common shares outsatnding? From the filings, WAVAP seems to be focused on paying divindents on their preffered stock, of which they have 75 Million or more outstanding.
By just looking at the common stock, WAVAP has a market cap of $300.000, so close to nothing compared with the balance sheet and earnings.

(I posted this on Omni´s board as a reply to someone, and remebered that Ez picked it 2 weeks ago, so this board might be interested.)

ENGY bounced off both 50dma and 32dma in the last two trading days. It is in a tight short term trading range between .0075 and .01, so the first resistance, as for all subpennies, is to take out the whole number resistance .01, the next will be the 200dma at approx .0115! If you read the Board Info box (IBox) of this board, you will see that the 200dma is a central tool for us to define a breakout.
The stock has been under accumulation for almost the past 2 months, on rising volume. Both the stockchart and the On Balance Volume (OBV) are in an uptrend. If you draw a line from the yearly low of .0045 to the recent low on wednesday of .0071, you will see that ENGY has been riding this uptrend for a while now. At the moment, the support line is at approx. .0075 and it is important to stay above that line.
I will not tell you what to do, but if I were in, I would hold. IMO, a very important technical decision is coming in near future: Break thru the 200dma on the upside and run hard, OR break down thru the 32dma and tank. This is just the technical part.
Summary: I would set my stop loss trigger just below .0075
Fundamentally, I am not really familiar with the company. You should read thru the filings if you plan on holding long term.
Some key facts as of Sept 30th:
Profitable third quarter on steadily declining revenues in a rather interesting field of business.

Omni / Latino and board - what do you think about the recent VoIP hype - holiday rally for bored traders or something to take a few weeks like the wireless hype?
imo, this could be the next hot sector short term. Thanks for your opinion on this.
NVALW - a warrant. Like BNKUZ, BNSOZ and ADSTW was pushed by a bored group of nasdaq traders. Note that the warrant derives its value from its underlying stock, for NVALW that is NVAL, and it didnt move very much, so the spike is not justified.
I think it was a crazy holiday action, and I scalped ADSTW once. Lets see what happens next week. Cheap warrants that didnt get the push are DCTHW and EEGLW. Watching those.
To my knowledge, not on the OTC BB. MM do not even have to show that their is an order sitting at one specific price.
Greedkills - You mean "time and sales"?
BB, lol , dang, and I didnt know that stockcharts.com now provides data for pinks. That must be new.
Missing Level II is an issue here, really dont like to trade blind, just having someone tell me what it looks like via Messenger is not the way..... Need to set up some mass email to our brokers to include that data. ETrade and many other biggies do not even provide the option to get Pink Level II for extra fees. That sucks. "Millions being made on pinks every day" lol
yes, I asked about it on Friday. What you think? I agree with chipped, if it takes out .20 it goes. VoIP company, seemsto be a legit Pinkie, but who really knows? Eyeing it for next week, just for a trade.
Thanks for your insight =)

Firefight,
People are no longer just investing here on the news they are investing on the technicals. Things have changed dramatically due to that reason!
- investing on the technicals: The holding period for break out trading is 2-5 days. That is not investing for me.
- Things having changed dramatically? Due to that reason? Not in my view.
Hope you get a run, but get real and try to slow down a bit. You are not doing the stock any good. I normally pass when I see posts like this on a stock, for obvious reasons.
This one needs more than people "investing" on technicals. GL.
WTG...... funny to see how many co´s become VoIP plays recently.... does the management know already that this is their new main focus? lol ... but anyway, as long as it runs on the illusion - who cares. This is 1999 at its best, whoo hoo!!
Concerning WGNR, maybe Raw got infected by their new product, the iPump .......... haaaaaaaaaaaaa
"The UNITY iPump Media Server fits into any application where content is to be localized in real time or time shifted for playback."

Time to get going for the weekend. Keep the board clean. Have a nice one. Maybe check VPER.pk chart and profile. Peace
Have a nice weekend all. APOA looking good. Loaded my portfolio with gold stocks this week, LNXGF (.16) last week, and today HGRD (.52) CGLD (.305) APLL (.38).
Missed FWGO :(
Looking at your DMES, not in yet. Checking out some VoIP Plays too.
Well cant get em all. What a crazy week, huh?
Next week will be big I feel.
