Remember that Greg Morris calls it "OUR In Process Quality Assurance" at the 20:17 mark of this oldie but goodies from last year.
I agree with your line of thinking. I mentioned it in a post last night. http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=106628717
or ramping up the production of PrintRite to meet demand!
Yes, I humbly believe that possibility does exist. It's what is making sense to my dot connecting mind
I think there is definitely a chance that Mark sees the gap in AM capacity and SGLB can fill it if they move quickly. He said "Mark Cola, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sigma Labs, stated that, "With the acquisition of this state-of-the-art 3D metal printer coupled with our PrintRite3D® technology, Sigma Labs now enters a new manufacturing phase, and enhances our offerings to the additive manufacturing marketplace for high-end, precision metal parts. Customers will be able to contract with us to manufacture on our equipment, to their specifications, and take full advantage of our unique PrintRite3D® on-machine quality assurance capability. This will be invaluable in helping customers to reduce process development times and get parts into production faster. Once parts are in production, PrintRite3D® will continue to contribute to their bottom line by reducing inspection costs and part rejection costs."

I would not be surprised if they wound up acquiring a few more printers to print some LEAP engine parts and more.
Thanks much for the link. I certainly did not see that coming??!!
Agreed the dots continue to connect which continues to explain the moves that MC is making. I'm loving seeing Lockheed and EOS. Lockheed is gonna need IPQA for that new EBAM solution that Sciaky sold them. . Dot+dot+dot+dot=Sucess!
Yes. I agree that competition is good as it confirms the need for a closed loop system. More players want to get in and realize a financial gain. Sigma is ahead of the game as their IPQA process has been tested by DARPA and Honeywell and GE. Should anyone find another closed loop system tested by two Fortune 500 companies and a branch of the US govt then please inform the board and provide the links. Thanks much.
Agreed. I talk to my fellow investors about sigma labs all the time. Everyone that I mention Additive Manufacturing too always asks What is AM? Many do not see the potential of AM but mention printing organs and everyone says Ohhhh! That is awesome! Many potential investors do not see the AM potential.
I believe awareness will drastically increase when contracts come. Contracts will raise awareness. The light bulbs will turn on in many investors heads. The eventual up list will bring institutional investors and more as contracts are announced before uplisting.
Ok, I agree with that. We're on the same page.
Uplist in a year from now would make sense as it would follow Sigma 8K filing in January "The Company agreed to use its best efforts to list the Company's common stock on the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ or any other securities exchange acceptable to the Investor within 24-months from the closing of the private placement, to the extent the common stock is qualified to be listed on such securities exchanges;" 24 months would be Jan 2016 which gives us 1 year and 3 to 4 months. I believe this time by next year is quite doable as MCC suggests.
Nasdaq requires 2 dollar pps to uplist as discussed previously on the board; thus, r/s will probably be necessary. I certainly hope that pps will be over .50 cents or more with announcement of contract awards before we r/s and uplist. I like 4/1 or less for r/s
Awesome DD! Thanks member mark for you!
Yes. Future so bright we gotta wear shades . Sorry I could not resist. I'm looking forward to continued developments.
Thanks much for taking the lead on this! I hope to hear a few answers this Thursday. Thanks much DWOL!
I agree Oscaro! I'm here for the long term. Everything is going according to plan. Management has delivered Inspect on schedule. Sigma Labs has added employees. They have a product that America Makes has stated that they want to commercialize. They have backing from two Fortune 500 companies! More companies continue to look to additive manufacturing to save money and time. AM industry has stated time and again the need for IPQA. I'm looking forward to a bright future!
I agree with you. I hope that everyone is now satisfied that management is following through and I hope that many understand that the NDA's forced SGLB to keep quiet. Wishing all the Longs the best!
Stock mama. Thanks I love you for all your dd. this one is freaking awesome!! SGLB is poised for greatness. I'm looking forward to this sept 11. Dot connectors here we go been saying it. Dot+dot+dot+dot=success. Looking forward to the gift under the tree this year in the form of increasing pps. Have a great weekend All!!
Stockmama22,
I agree Deform accelerated timeline is big for me.
Silversmith was original poster from recollection.
One person's speculation is another's investment while another's investment is someone else's speculation. In I believe that you have made a great bet in my investment. I started investing in this last summer and continued to add whenever I can. This little company of about 6 folks had a IPQA process approved by Boeing in 2012 and they had this special relationship with Greg Morris who decided that SGLB's IPQA was worth doing a JTDA with. All the while GE is starting to take in billions in orders for the LEAP engine which was too be built with AM parts. Parts which in aerospace require absolute precision and must meet rigorous testing standards. I realized that Honeywell had a contract with this little company as well a contract which was later extended. GE and Sigma won a NIST contract. NIST which is our National Institute for Standards and Technology. I knew that SGLB was no fly by night company but a company with a real product that worked if not then two Fortune 500 companies would not be wasting time and money on SGLB. I realized that IPQA fulfilled an industry need as I listened to more AM industry talks. I really understood this need more as America Makes keeps announcing contracts for this quality need that SGLB was addressing back in 2012. I realized that SGLB was years ahead of the competition. The continued America Makes requests for proposals to win these AM quality contracts continue to confirm this belief. The growing worldwide investment and shift to AM continues to reinforce my belief in the need for IPQA. There IPQA process will be a winner a since GE is putting billions of orders on the line that their Jointly Developed IPQA will succeed and allow them to meet aerospace rigorous quality standards; thus, my investment in SGLB. GLTA longs!
Agreed. The NDA's do severely limit what Mark can and cannot say. It is unfortunate for investors who require more updates than what the current situation allows. I will wait patiently as the JTDA with GE and extended contract with Honeywell is undeniable. Mark and Dave are hands on working executives with little time to spare. The time for commercializations is very close as GE's production schedule must be met and GE is going to go with their IPQA that the are jointly developing for over a year. A process which has been tested under fire in those LEAP engines. There's no time left to reverse course and go with another untested quality solution. IMO
Nice find! Glad to see an updated datasheet!
Agreed time is ticking and GE will be making more decisions and announcements by end of year. 2015 is go time and SGLB is primed to fly. I'm waiting for AM quality standards to be announced. I have a good feeling about IPQA meeting the quality standards
Thanks Stockmama22, I'm printing this out and posting on my fridge!
Stockmama22, Much Thanks for the conference schedule!
Member Marked you. Thanks!
Thanks for the reminder. It's always good to see documentation that makes us all remember reasons for investing in SGLB
Thanks Z. I agree continued cooperation with GE and Honeywell are proof that Sigma's IPQA does fulfill the quality assurance that is lacking in AM. We know that GE starts production next year and the continued relationship and testing all this time is indicative that IPQA will be used as GE's AM quality assurance solution.
Go SGLB. First buy was last summer!'
I definitely concur with your logic Jackle. As a fellow dot connector. Dot + dot + dot + dot = success. Sglb has been fairly true to their word since I first put a stake in July 2013. They are making steady progress. Mark pretty much addressed the whole GE buyout IMO when he said that GE did not know how to value SGLB. GLTA!
Thanks for pointing that one out. SGLB needs the additional assistance to get IPQA commercialized and hiring three new employees will definitely help speed it along.
Thanks Stockmama22. I was just looking at this article. I imagine SGLB doing the same thing. I can see SGLB making announcement of Inspect commercialization and receiving a contract shortly thereafter. Just like Sciaky "received a purchase order from a major aerospace parts maker". There are so many NDA's associated with this field as everyone wants to maintain a competitive advantage and not reveal exactly what they are doing. Long and Strong SGLB!
Yes, I agree. SGLB is still ahead of the game and should their IPQA process be standardized by NIST or say FAA then SGLB will be in a much better position. Yes, competition is coming; however, SGLB has been engaged with the Big Boys ie. Honeywell and GE, NIST, and military for years now. GE/Honeywell testing has been ongoing for over a year. This testing/certification process puts them ahead of the competition as the Big Boys have a proven process that they have worked with and the sooner commercialization and adoption by industry then the better.
“We could go crazy. I could talk about 50 parts and applications we’re looking at and get everybody really excited about it, but we’re trying to be very controlled about where we feel we have our arms wrapped around it,” says Greg Morris additive manufacturing leader at GE.
http://3dprint.com/11266/3d-printed-lpt-ge9x-777x/
There's a lot happening behind the scenes which will not be publicly discussed is how I translate that statement by Greg Morris. They are doing the JTDA with Sigma Labs because they like what they see with SGLB. GE is ramping up for production next year and SGLB is ramping up for commercialize this year to be ready to deliver product. I believe that GE will order that Inspect product soon after commercialization is announced. I remain patient and LONG!
Thanks Obit. That is great news. It bodes well. IMO.
"Continental Western's motion to compel production of the
administrative record and for suspension of briefing schedule and
discovery-related deadlines [31] is granted in part and denied in
part.
The motion is granted to the extent that discovery-related
deadlines including the deadline under the local rules for
submission of a proposed scheduling order and discovery plan are
stayed. In all other respects the motion is denied. Continental
Western may have to and including August 29, 2014 to submit its
response to defendants' motions to dismiss."
Thanks Jackle. Agreed. There's a lot going on in the background. SGLB is ahead of the game in closed-loop quality control. I saw this yesterday. Another project from America Makes that I bet SGLB will compete for. "The first special topic project is seeking solutions to demonstrate and quantify the benefits of feedback-driven, closed-loop process control for powder bed fusion additive manufacturing of thermoplastic production parts. Two prizes of $400,000 will be awarded to the selected project winners."

Nevermind. Thanks. I just found it. https://timhoward717.files.wordpress.com/2014/07/secret-docs-611-2.pdf
Thanks much for the FYI. Any links to the documents?
Yes, I agree that this ASTM AM quality standard is a huge Dot. I believe that Dot+Dot+Dot+Dot=Success :)
Thanks much. I'm keeping an eye out for the AM quality standards.
