True. Orchestrated. It is so funny it's sad yet lots of Americans miss that.
No wonder we put a 'Dancing for the Stars' contestant in charge of our nukes instead one of those pesky physicists we usually let run the Department of Energy.
Yep, this slow road to full legalization is not good for shareholders in any US MJ stocks particularly those having trouble raising capital.
But it's great for the politicians of all stripes trying to get elected! Marijuana has been one of the issues that keeps on giving for the last few years.
It will take the under 35 crowd to get off their collective butts and vote to move the needle at the national level for any of the issues the majority wants.
The problems with the States Bill.
1. IRS bill 280E will still be in place.
2. Interstate commerce will still be illegal.
3. International commerce will still be illegal.
4. The Federal government can still intervene in the industry anytime it chooses leaving the uncertainty factor.
I traded this stock since 2015 on and off. It hasn't been worth even a flip since the beginnings of 2017. But it was fun for a few years.
In many penny stocks, "awesome revenue stream" seldom makes it to the share price and with many of these companies it's nothing criminal or shady or stupid, it's just the problem of financing growth with dilution.
That said, I hope my SGBY, your EVIO does well along with it's investors
As where have I been? Charlotte's Web, Origin House, Hexo, Cure Leaf, CV Science, The Green Organic Dutchman, Cresco Labs and some good flips like Terra Tech, Kaly, INND, and others.
Stopped by to check out EVIO and it's a damn shame it's in this shape so close to federal legalization. I always thought it was a bad idea to put a science type as CEO. He was probably stuck between the Scientist half knowing the testing was not to requirements while the CEO half was worried about the company financially. He should have opted to be the COO and hired a CEO.
Fits what was said. More consolidating and less selling off would more positive. They better get going, lots of big players with deep pockets in or eyeing California and to a lesser degree Nevada.
Lots of MJ stocks, especially CBD types popped today. MJ stocks will come after it gets it's 'farm bill'.
I'm amazed more did not buy Origin House after it was brought out. It was a sure gain of 70 cents a share with a 9.50 a share buyout.
True. Could be .90 will be it but I'm still thinking .60.
Yep, McConnell and his entire crowd have had their time constraining progress.
Present and past. A really bad way to look at start up's in anyone's book. The real reason is Legal weed changes every thing and the hoard of haters can not deal with that thought so they ignore it.
(But, it's our secret, I won't tell anyone - I'll be in like a ton of bricks when TRTC is low enough - keep working hard to get it down but instead try the facts that are cogent. Like the fact we have another Tranche or two coming and the fact the consolidation will take at least 2 quarters which may not be stellar. So the best Entry point may be .60's or even .50's)
Maybe, but there is no reason for any 'pop' to hold. What we are seeing now is the Terra tech Two Step down the stairs.
Why did you ask for exactly that?
Now we agree on something DAMN wall
The conversation was posted just a day or two ago - go listen. I gave up bedtime stories decades ago.
Where have you been? Catch up.
You could be right - big players are moving into the California marijuana business with major purchases. Cresco Labs and Acreage are there now and I'm sure more may join or already there and will be looking for Established US companies. That may have been why Derek went after Golden Leaf - to help avoid a buy out.
Yep, the view out the rear view window looks bad.
Anything on the legalization front? Anything? NO
Then we will get back to pitching pennies.
The OTC is just a place to play and look for a moon shot with Give-A-F money. But as serious as your crowd takes it, it must be bread money based on the huge outrage, sniveling and whining from the Haters in this group. Looking at penny stocks as if the financials were from a blue chip firm is silly and hilarious at the same time. Thanks for that, I always love a laugh.
Most are pitching penny's and having fun yet the haters are commenting on the color of the penny as if that makes a difference.
If you were looking at these stocks like they should be - a bet on a future - maybe then you could see that TRTC, while thorny, is a decent bet for a big increase if the plant goes legal.
Nutty isn't it.
What's really funny is that Origin's current price is 8.8 USD and the offer will give shareholders 9.5 USD
Wonder if TRTC is part of the suit? Arn't they selling licenses in Nevada they previously obtained?
Nah, .60. What happened to .11? You thinking it's improved .04?
And if the weed is legal in a month or a year you and your best buds rear view of TRTC would just be dust. And you would still be complaining about some inane matter of no consequence. Why not just learn knitting. It would be more productive.
I agree. but lots of folks are here in this swamp, in this industry, to make 'outrageous' profits. This is the Lotto Ticket market for folks with 2 bucks and a gleam of untold fortunes. It's made up of stocks unqualified to be in the more regulated markets.
I just remember this is the land of events that defy explanation.
Not sure of the number of shares we will get in June. It may be based on the 9.50 price per share and not the percentage.
I hope they do but in the mean time (several months) the price will be heading lower. The last firm floor was around .60.
For now, even trading seems to have slowed.
Yes. So if we wait till June it should have to be a choice on the potential of Cresco Labs share price.
I assume after June each share of Origin House would be .8428 shares of CRLBF?
TRTC has always been traded. It will all summer long. The problem is there is no reason other than possible future expectations for any gain in share price to hold.
While TRTC is selling assets to maintain, companies like Acreage and Cresco are buying competitors at a rapid pace.
It's a game of musical chairs and the music will end when the Federal government legalizes the plant. The chairs are being grabbed up and if TRTC wants to be sitting at the table they better get their duck in a row soon.
Everyone who reasons knows the government(State and Federal) is the issue with US marijuana business's. Just because you are having buyers remorse don't blame me -
Absolutely. It must be a 'us versus them' situation in these minds.
TRTC will do fine - if it makes it to legalization.
The fact is the principle catalyst for the US marijuana market will be Federal legalization. You don't agree. That's laughable.
The idea that you knew the outcome of the 2016 election, or who was going to be appointed US AG, or that three years later the weed would still be illegal at the federal level is ridiculous. If a millennial who seems to always pick up stocks at the bottom and always sells at the top existed, we would all know about the lawn care specialist who gave it up to tutor Buffett on stock choices. In fact it's what it appears to be. BS
The 'up' from that was already realized in the last run up. There is nothing to suggest the stock going up with the exception the pump being conducted by some to get the price to a higher cliff so the fall will be more profitable.
Good luck with that.
The banking bill is delayed.
The NJ legalization is delayed.
In the meantime, two large MJ companies have moved into California with deep pockets while TRTC is downsizing and cutting expenses.
Kinda reminds me of Blockbusters and Netflix. And we are not Netflix.
What we have coming is better margins, jumps in revenues from the grow operations, more bang for the buck at the retail level and the possibility of more licenses in California and New Jersey. The Nevada lawsuit may give us an opportunity for more licenses later.
The problem is all these positive results are 1-3 10q'a away. So we will wilt in the summer heat just as the Canadian's are buying US companies up who are struggling with poorly financed debt, crappy enforcement of MJ policies, inadequate policing of the black market, high taxes, and a lack of banking. Not to mention the elephant in the boardroom - a crappy government.
Holy Moly!!! Is the plant legal? Did I miss that fact?
The only hogwash is some small, insignificant few who fail to see the effects of the Government on the publicly traded marijuana business in the US. Only an agenda or cerebral inabilities would cause anyone to ignore the obvious.
What a laugh. Of course you folks were not a factor in TRTC's current position. The issue has always been the US Government.
Canada does nothing in business better than the US companies do. Yet Canadian Companies and the US companies they are financing make up the Marijuana companies that are doing well. The only difference between the marijuana business in Canada and the USA is that Canadian's have a government responsive to the will of the people and we do not. MJ will be a huge industry, as will solar, as will genetics, as will AI, as will fusion and the US is trailing in all of these for pretty much the same problem - "stupid is as stupid does".
I was never poor when I was borrowing millions of dollars.
I was poor when I was borrowing a buck.
It's peanuts because he needs peanuts.
And it's right after a 5 million dollar tranche that is providing headway now.
$1,400,000 and you get to buy TRTC for 68 cents a share. What is that, about a 25% loan based on today's price?
With the market selling stock at 92 cents and Derek selling stock at 68 cents how does that help dilution?
Also with this kind of transaction someone who makes these loans for a living has determined their view of the company's worth. 94,800,000 X $0.68 = $64.4 Million.
Monday is April Fools Day. I predict a double digit drop.
No reason for 'sorry' Ap. It takes us all to keep this ship going straight. I just think McConnell has to go for MJ to succeed. Actually it will most likely take lots of old men to retire from both parties to allow for Medical and Recreational Marijuana.
My generation stayed relevant just to damn long AP, longer than the usefulness of a generations worth of antiquated ideas.
The Feds can not move without McConnell or do you not understand how the USA works? Laws come from Congress. The Feds uphold laws, they do not make laws. The Congress makes laws The House is 1/2 and the Senate is the other half. The house can pass laws all day long but the Senate has to approve them and Trump has to sign them. With McConnell in charge of the Senate, it's a done deal. No banking until the Senate flips. No MJ reform at the federal level unless the Senate flips. 2020,2021 at the earliest.
In one respect. In another it could be very good for TRTC to settle a lawsuit in Jersey - especially for 100 grand - even if it was 100 grand borrowed from a crackhead for 100% interest.
But who would ever accuse the TRTC haters of showing both sides - LOL
Reading the article would give one the opinion that while some folks are positive about banking reform - several banks are not. They are voting with their money banking will fail. I agree because of the POS McConnell is still the gate guard for all things that require changes to the law. But with Trump going after medical insurance the Senate may flip in 2020. 2019 is not the TRTC year, IMO. Everything rests in McConnell's hands.
Looks like a settlement for a lawsuit - maybe EG.
