It still lends to your credibility and critical analysis as a web designer. Wouldn't an adequate designer be able to tell the pros and cons of a website very quickly? Wouldn't he know if a site is pure crap instead of posting a 'better alternative' to greners of a website with fall on your face accessibility and excessively long item listings?
I'm not in denial and actually unimpressed with the cannabis.org website's ability to make it on the map in popular searches. Still, it doesn't draw my attention from addressing your opinions as an individual. I am merely rehashing a topic you never replied to and it all ties into this discussion.
Spiv - you are also the same person who posted a pretty awful grow site and explained how you hope they would pursue that model. Not sure how seriously I can take you, feel free to post some of your work that looks better and done for much cheaper.
Dude - did they sound high to you?
Besides sterling's ramblings - I didn't feel that their reaction times and tone of speech were in line with your typical pot head.
You'd be surprised how many proactive pot heads are out there, but I can agree there are some things that can do without pot involvement. That said, have you ever tried the stuff? You're lumping in adult pot supporters with a college style pot head, they aren't the same.
Gv- did you listen to the interview?
They were very adamant about not being associated yet with Mj directly. This would pose too many risks for a company able to draw revenue from all 50 states and beyond with e-commerce.
Imagine if they talked in length about deeper involvement in the Mj trade and drew some negative federal attention. For a company concentrated in 100% compliance with the law - do you really think that's smart? It would also present risk and scare away higher class investors.
No doubt vape is not being directly associated with phot yet for a good reason.
They've got a head start on things and are dealing with hurdles that future legit public Mj companies will have to deal with. The fact they can see a green line and go right up to the edge is impressive. Little doubt this is a back burner project to address competition in the expanding vape market.
Spiv- re: website.
So you're saying the site could have been made for $50? $5,000?
You're saying they paid nearly 100k on the site from what posted source? Do you know if that money only went into the site or further development? It's certainly not the look of a cheap website.
Would love to hear some well informed feedback from you.
marijuanavest - so you're implying he took dilution funds from PHOT and used it to set up more companies?
This is what you're claiming?
Well said Doc, I believe in this company because I believe in this industry. I have an understanding of the 'cost and effect'.
Whether people like it or not, this is still top choice in the MJ sector. True that many out there have shady approaches and don't address investors like this. These guys are capitalizing on providing growers with the equipment as a building block and its the best public company doing this right now.
I have no doubt a marginally apprehensive and level-headed OfficerK will be back within the ranks soon. I took half out from overall holdings Friday, I had over invested and not diversified enough.
I liked the radio interview. I caught on at the tail end of it after work and that seemed to be where the serious questions from Alan and the rest were being addressed.
I took both comfort and concern from what I heard.
There are comforts in a leadership team addressing the public with all the questions we wanted to hammer them on. That they were able to advise on their approach, elevating long term confidence. I like also that they addressed dilution, then turned back around and addressed it again. They said it needs to be prudent and efficient - it will not be reckless. They also hinted at potential financing agreements.
There are concerns about store goals and that (I believe) they should be revised. Ongoing dilution also a concern, what I would really like to see is alternative financing. I wanted to know more about GIFT and KIOSK programs - perhaps I missed this from coming in late. I didn't like pauses to hard questions, perhaps it was to put thought in the answers... Will listen to the recording.
Not to mention Friday's shake kicked out PHOT's biggest cheerleader, OfficerK. Someone who claimed a long position, who promoted articles involving PHOT on a revolving basis with great enthusiasm, that person just sells out? Respect for being honest, smart to take profit - Your converion from boaster to basher leaves me baffled though.
Hmmm will continue expansion with dilution as prudently as possible.
Similar on my end, sold higher and back in lower though!
What a shock to see 6 again! What a treat to see this volume and profit rise once more.
The Investor 100 - here is the full excerpt.
"Successful completion of the Company’s development programs and its transition to attaining profitable operations is dependent upon obtaining additional financing. The Company does not have sufficient resources to fund its operations for the next twelve months. Accordingly, the Company needs to raise additional funds in order to satisfy its future working capital requirements, which it may not achieve on commercially reasonable terms.
Continued negative cash flows and lack of liquidity create significant uncertainty about the Company’s ability to fully implement its operating plan, as a result of which the Company may have to reduce the scope of its planned operations. If cash resources are insufficient to satisfy the Company’s liquidity requirements, the Company would be required to scale back or discontinue its operations."
And the following
"Unless our operations generate significant revenues and cash flows from operating activities, our continued operations will depend on whether we are able to raise additional funds through various potential sources, such as equity and debt financing, other collaborative agreements and strategic alliances. Our management is actively engaged in seeking additional capital to fund our operations in the short to medium term. We also intend to obtain, where appropriate, increases of the amounts available to us under existing revolving promissory notes. Such additional funds may not become available on acceptable terms and there can be no assurance that any additional funding that we do obtain will be sufficient to meet our needs in the long term."
It reads like a disclaimer to the ever changing legal MJ climate. They'll want significant loans if they want to meet their store count goal. They'll have to decide how much they expand and the right volume of stores in appropriate locations. There really is a codependency between PHOT and legalization - most importantly the ability to forecast or detect locations with high volume of interest for growing.
Whatever entity loans out to them will have to decide if they want to jump in with a company with public ties to the MJ industry.
Growlife will also have to decide if or when they delve in and produce cannabis product. Product would need to be high enough quality to fetch more demand.
Lots of questions here, what will 2014 bring?
Smoketrain - consider this, they haven't had to use a PR in quite a long time, the stock has been lifting on its own momentum and with some help of news generated by the public as well.
The stock correlates well with positive nationwide press about cannabis - they've been gaining on public sentiment.
I'm not certain, but I would say there are high chances they have a good amount of ammunition for press including what their GIFT and kiosk progress has been so far.
There will be more cannabis stocks out there soon, but this one is building the strongest foundation and not suffering from irrational price pumping. Can you dig it?
Smoketrain - have you not seen the movement in the last 2 months?
Would you rather have it shoot up with a massive crash or a long term investment on a steady incline?
Sure phot has great potential to break out into massive gains, but I'm not looking at it as such. I'm looking at a methodical steady incline for the long term. Financials aren't out yet so I'm not sure why you're expecting some kind of explosion?
Instant gratification society means less care about the long term.
Fly fish - that's why I'm long on phot.
You won't see lowes or Home Depot do this until full scale legalization is approved for all 50 states. Even then, those larger mainstream companies won't venture to carry full stock because others like phot will already be set up with a huge head start. If hd or lowes did, they'd have to advertise as 'indoor horticulture' to avoid criticism.
Full federal legalization is still far off, so I feel your comment is very.... Uninformed.
You clearly don't know all the big boys are already making hps and mh bulbs. They aren't making the hoods, ballasts, ventilation, environment control, etc etc.
many failing to perform due diligence on the industry as a whole.
Some of you could benefit with some time on the icmag.com forums.
Volume and buys. Kind of funny when we've only seen .10 a few short days, suddenly the fear mongrels want to take advantage of it.
But to no avail dollar, already back to .098.
I remember when anything below .06 was worrying. This is a cakewalk in comparison.
Haha dollar, never have I seen such persistent bashing.
Cheers to you trying to get in at a lower price.
Did someone mention earlier that they're released in very early A.M.?
We expect them between close of today and open tomorrow.
Nearly 4 million volume in 1/2 hour!!!
I'm used to these early morning shakes, watch for the bounce.
what does everyone make of today's surge?
Anticipation of earnings release? Could we see them as early as tomorrow? Will the stock take a dip after earnings as people sell on news or will it attract larger money and ride up to 20 cents?
Could this also be a positive response to the kiosk?
Houston we are now at .10!
Agreed, the movement isn't helped by Miley.
We can have much better individuals making news for this, we don't need the next wannabe Brittany Spears stirring up the negatives. The actual act wasn't that harmful to teens as most of them have tried it or are well aware. Remember in America booze is harder to get than cannabis when you're underage. One of the many reasons we need legalization and regulation.
Lots of companies started as penny stocks. Few move up in the world, many go to die on the OTC.
I believe this one will have a slow but steady incline. A good long term investment as this company is rooting down within an industry with a forward looking perspective and an amazing approach. Great foundation they are building here.
you have 18 posts and 17 of them bashing.
Just some due diligence.
I enjoy rational arguments from neutral parties. You aren't coming off that way.
Why wait so long to start posting again?
Keep it honest people, fact based information and arguments.
Glad we found a link explaining, have a great week everyone!
Neverenough's been here a while, each post is negative.
He's not so much a participant as he is a historical basher on this forum. He's been posting since March and it's besides his first post, each one instigates negativity. I'm not quite sure what his angle is, but it's no neutral perspective.
I'll go ahead and get that link for him.
I like OfferK's approach - though he's a very full steam advocate, it's very positive. You can still have an argument if both sides raise positive points, make intelligent arguments.
I bet there will be some profit taking at close as there is most Fridays, don't worry folks - this one is primed and ready.
With the kiosk my personal assessment of this stock has gone from good to great!
Look at what an overvalued shady company like medbox did with their stock during last years legalization hype. Now look at what this honest, fully reporting stock is doing. Phot is incredibly undervalued at this price. Once public views realize how integrated phot is, price will skyrocket.
Texas- these are in general good signs. Grow life is showing themselves more and more to the industry, so this is great for exposure. I believe you may be referring to the fact that they are not in a press release frenzy to build unnecessary hype with many pumps. This will make the earnings report that much more effective. All good signs.
When PR is quiet and you can see new plans uncovered by interacting with your client base..... Something special right there.
Not to say their engaging with industry isn't PR worthy, but also it's not something they're releasing everywhere to over inflate stock price.
These guys are really impressing me.
When I first looked at this stock, I had no idea they were preparing this GIFT program or this dispensary arrangement.
Talk about setting yourself up in the long run.
Lamerica - couldn't have said it better myself.
Agreed officerk, I get a chuckle seeing the worry over small dips.
Even people posting about 1 storefront thinking it's the only store phot has - when in the real world phot has secured many locations and is able to supply to an INTERNATIONAL market via online sales. I once only thought it was all 50 states, but overseas is a great additional market to draw revenue from.
Looking good!
Got more in at .086 - happy.
It was destined to go down a bit with panicky traders worried about the stability of the OTC.
Lots of OTC stocks on my watch list took small losses.
Funny thing is phot was in an independent press release for stocks to watch today.
Guys it's the WHOLE market, not just Mj. Give it a moment
It's the whole market at the moment.
It's the whole market at the moment.
You forgot to mention phot sells equipment online to all 50 states legally. They use stealth shipping for those still in backwards states.
The multitude of equipment available to grow one or many plants is so vast it will make your head spin.
Phot owns new technology, current tech and environmental control + monitoring systems.
Anyone else know a stock that has a market in all 50 states to sell equipment and storefronts to supply to the legal or more lenient states?
Sometimes all you need is a little added perspective.
As did I get my card when visiting Cali, as did I get into a dispensary.
Cannabis raw in a large market will fetch between 150-400 depending on quality, and that 400 had to be top notch. You'll see sellers in Cali so worried about price drops. These days of growers trying to charge black market prices in a public arena will be over soon. Fantastic top of the line well grown bud will always find it's way to the top of the cash pile though.
Concentrates will always sell for more, but I don't know anyone who will ever really need an oz of hash, BHO or CBD oil at one time considering how effective these are.
Important to note growing cannabis isn't just about lights here Simmons. Lights are crucial, but environment is just as important. Since phot carries the whole line to get you from start to finish in any different method you want to use, I'm happy with them so far.
Highway - more accurate price per oz. would be 150-350$ when all is said and done. No one will pay $600 even in the black market unless they are new and getting scammed.
I also like seeing all the new names around here. It's a good show of interest by people who are watching and makes you wonder how many non commenting observers access this board. If you've just been reading, register and share your thoughts.
We have a very special industry growing up here, times our previous generations wouldn't ever have expected to see.
It will be a time where the slacker startups will be overcome by customer service, quality and variety oriented businesses.
I scanned across the stock one day and realized Greners was part of the brand - that got me.
Yup, have seen enough people come back here admitting regret of selling during a moment of fear.
Million - what do you say to all other Mj companies that didn't release a pr?
This is a step in the right direction, but still a small one. I can't imagine getting out of a stock because they didn't release a pr exactly when I wanted to see it.
Best of luck.
