Phil, I'd be willing to try, but I seriously doubt my wife would go along for the ride. LOL
Colt
LOL, OneBgg, she be from TH's territory...The Philadelphia Eagles. You think ol' TH took that photo? LOL
Colt
OneBgg, a man would die of a worn out, uhhhhhhhh, mmmmmmm, <well you know>, if he ever had sex with 20,000 different women. Only Mountain Lions could keep up that pace. LOL
Colt
Yep! e/
We can only hope, OneBgg, but, knowing some of these high paid pro athlete jerks, there will always be some that think they won't get caught. Most of these guys have great athleticism but, very little common sense.
Colt
Good article, Ksquared. On the money! e/
Hey, you ol' cotton picker! Tractors today are plush. Like Hummers...in the early days of the Humm-Vee back in Desert Storm, they were stripped down much like an old Army Jeep. Now, they are like a luxury vehicle, with all the modern day amenities. Tractors today almost make you want to get into farming. LOL
Colt
You are welcome, Ksquared. If your friend ever needs help with anything astronomical with her son, just ask. She can give you the question(s) and I'm sure one of us will be able to answer.
Colt
Ksquared......
I seriously doubt there would be 10,000 hunters, especially if the New Jersey Fish and Game do it right. They should attach a fairly high price for a Tag, like maybe $500.00(?), as well as a VERY STIFF Penalty if caught bear hunting w/o a License and the Special Tag. The hunters that would go after the bears would be very experienced and very responsible people/hunters like say TH and myself. These hunters would not shoot if there was danger of a stray bullet ending up on some road or highway or through someones window. There will be plenty of press about a hunt like this, maybe even asking citizens to stay out of the woods for the one or two weekend hunt or 7-10 day hunt. Most people wouldn't find this to be any kind of hardship they couldn't live with, if it means they can start enjoying swimming, bar-b-q'ing, etc., in their backyards again. Even more so, with their little tykes.
Not knowing the area, I am not sure how they'd lay out the hunt but, if they do it like they do in most states you and your neighbors would not be in any danger. Even though you see bears in your neighborhood, the hunt would most likely start in areas less populated by humans. Once the over-population is thinned out, animals (including bears) always move back into their Natural Habitat. I know what you are thinking, "why would they want to leave your area when they can get plenty to eat out of neighbors trash cans, etc...because the only reason the bears are in your neighborhood in the first place is there are so many bears all over forcing the weakest to move on...thus many end up in neighborhoods like yours. Once they don't feel threatened by other bears (Survival of the Fittest) they start heading back into areas where they are comfortable and feel safe and have plenty of natural food to eat. Trust me, once the bear population is thinned out you will start seeing less and less and much more infrequently.
TH can probably give you more info in more detail since he is probably familiar with New Jersey, living next door in Pa. Just remember, Ksquared, hunts like this go on in most every state in America, and home owners are no more likely to catch a bullet than they would being hit by a car while out for a walk. Or worse, eaten alive by a big ol' BAR!!! <ggg> Hell, Ksquared, you never know, but a tall, tan hunter may even stop by asking if he could get a drink of water...LOL Hunters are the nicest people in the world. We Respect Animal and Plant life a million times more than these old Kalifornicate, tree hugging, save the sperm whales, naked, gay rights, jerks that live out there in Lala Land. If we left things up to those jerks out there, the human race in America would completely die off in 20-25 years. Hunters are the ones who see to it that animals and humans can live together. Hunters are the ones who plant new trees, plant plots of food for animals, make water area sanctuary's for ducks and geese. I could go on and on but, a good semi expensive bear hunt in New Jersey is the way to get the ball rolling. It may take more than just a couple years to get things completely under control, but, you have to start sometime or they'll force you down here to Tejas, home of millions of tall, dark, handsome, smooth talking, studly, cowboys, who can make love and ride a bull...not at the same time, of course! <ggg>
Colt...partly serious, partly joking around!
AK, so you are saying if both of you don the ol' Birthday Suit, you each get $2500.00, thus you get to play for free? And if I get my wife to do it with me, then we walk away all painted up, but with $5,000.00 to spend at the tables? That's one hell of a deal since my wife and I already do it at home anyway. I do believe it is time to make another little trip to Vegas and get paid for our little games.
Colt
AK, you seem to have read the Rules backwards. It called for the young girl to get neked, NOT you! <g>
Colt
OneBgg, we're going to have to change the name of this board to: Straight To The Point! aka STTP (symbol) <g>
Colt
LOL...
LOL...
Yep!
Actually OneBgg, when you look at Wilt's 20,000 figure and then consider there are 365 days in a year and multiply that by 50 years you come up with only 18,250 which means Wilt would have started screwing around before he was born and was still screwing around after he died. In other words Wilt was a Bold Faced Liar! Who did Wilt think he was, a Texan? LOL
Colt
HARRR! Be kind of hard to get that last one to put me in Wilt's category, w/o getting my cajones chopped off...me thinks I'll stay under 20,000! HARRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
Colt ain't as Stupid as Kobe is! My wife knows how to shoot and Hit where she aims! <ggg>
OneBgg, there are still some teams with money who will go after Sheed. With the right team he could change things in a big way. In a year or two Sheed won't bring much so now is the time to get 2-3 players and future draft choices. I just hope he doesn't hook up with Don Nelson and the Mavs...they would then be extremely hard to beat with all that offensive power already and add Sheed's 20 ppg...WOW! Course the Blazers would demand maybe Finley or Nash as keys to the trade. Dallas would never trade Dirk, though.
I just wish the Blazers would say something. They are getting scary, being so quiet. Are they waiting to drop a bombshell like they have acquired Duncan, Shack and McGrady! Damn, I sure hope not! The Blazers would have a Dynasty going with those three! HARRR!
Colt
OneBgg, if he's guilty, I hope he pays with a lot more than a slap on the wrist. This case needs to set a precedence for both sides in the future. To keep these high paid jerks from thinking they can get away with murder and so women can't falsely accuse someone.
Colt
Yep!
Yep!
Yep!
Got it!
AK, I just saw you on TV shooting some naked girl with a paintball gun. Shame on you...you dirty old man! <ggg> Don't you know you're supposed to 'Charm' em into bed!?!
Colt
Greg,
If I could figure out a way for that 16" SCT to produce income, I'd sell a couple Bulls or a few steers. Until then I am stuck with my 17.5" Dobsonian. Actually I have such little free time as it is, doing Astrophotography is not in the cards at the present time. You'd have to enclose the 16" SCT for sure. Unless you have Shaquille O'Neal living with you to take it outside each night. Hey, that's an idea. Kobe and Gary Payton going to prison and Shaq busy each night taking a giant telescope out and Karl Malone would be left to try and get the Fakers into the playoffs. I know OneBgg would like that idea and as he would say, HARRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
Colt
Greg...how about one of either of these?

Justin, I saw that...inside cover. They made a nice couple when they were together. I was a little kid way back then but, I remember having a 'Crush' on her when I was 1 year old. <g> She was a nice looking gal. Course the women thought Andy was good looking also.
Colt
Good morning, Ksquared...Re: Bear problem
My views based on the fact that I really know nothing about the territory where the bear problem is. In Texas you could blindfold me and after 5 minutes I could tell you what region of Texas I was in as well as tell within a certain degree of accuracy, the nearest landmark, ie., city, town, community, plains, mountains, coastal, hill country, south Texas, west Texas, east Texas, the Panhandle, rivers, creeks, lakes, oil country, gas country, blah, blah, blah. Hell, I can even take one look at a gal down here in Texas and tell you EXACTLY where she is from. <ggg> So I will put your bear problem in Texas to make this point which I would most likely transfer to New Jersey and it would still work.
Game Wardens: Bad idea. It never works. Wardens in every state are stretched much to thin. They can't and shouldn't be taken away from their everyday duties. To get rid of the big over population of bears, is going to require hunters. Just like hunting of any animal or bird in any state, a Hunters Safety course is required as is the purchase of a Hunting License which brings states hundreds of millions of dollars. NJ is really pretty far behind the 8 ball and I don't think anyone is too impressed with the powers to be in the way they regulate animal life. Just from all the stories you tell us about bear, deer, turkey, etc., running around all over the place...that is bad for both man and animal. There is a fine line between what is best for both and what is not. The big shots in New Jersey don't seem to understand this. You have to continually thin out the animal population by eliminating the oldest and the weakest. Like we do down here when Whitetail hunting, you cull the known Spikes, you keep the Buck to Doe ratio as close to 1:1 as possible, you try to take out the Mature Bucks that are over 5 1/2 years old and you also get rid of cull or management bucks (bucks that show to be inferior after a couple of years of watching them). States like Texas and Pennsylvania make Bill Gates kind of money from hunting. A Special Bear Tag could be sold for say, several hundred dollars. Hunters pay big bucks for most all species anyway and a NJ bear would be no different.
As to 'jerks' it wouldn't be any more or less than every state has every hunting season. Very minimal. The Game and Fish Agency in New Jersey could impose a very stiff fine if caught with one and no license or permission to hunt the land. Say 5 years in Federal Prison and a $10-20,000.00 fine would keep 99.99999999999% of the jerks at the local bar instead of hunting. Hunters that go to the trouble of taking a Hunters Education course, pay for their License, and spend the money for all the other things like rifle, scope, ammo, clothing, 4 wheeler, etc. are VERY Responsible and would treasure the trophy. Bear rugs are very popular among hunters. Bear heads??? I've never heard of anyone wanting just that as a trophy. Every hunter I know who has a Bear to his or her name keeps the whole Bear for either a floor rug or spread eagle on the wall. Poachers who are interested only in a head are after the Antlers of a 'Whitetail Deer'.
I think that New Jersey needs to bring in experts from some of the big hunting states like Pa., Texas, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Oregon, Wi., Michigan, etc. and get themselves some education on Proper Game Management. Here in Texas the deer have become so healthy, the bear population is growing, Big Horn Sheep are coming back big time, Mountain Lion populations are also coming back to 1900 population numbers, west Texas Mule Deer are in good shape, and so on. We have the largest population of Exotics of all the other states combined. We have Elk down here. We have lots of Buffalo. We have some African animals. The reason is we have Game Wardens who work with land owners and hunters and it is fantastic.
I just can't see NJ Game Wardens as the way to get a grip on your bear problem. Game Wardens work if you have a wild animal loose in a city or township. But, sending out the small force that most states have has just never worked. It would be like taking all of the policemen in New Jersey and sending them out to every mile of border in the U.S., meaning all of Mexico and Canada as well as all three oceans. Just can't be done. Each warden would be 100 miles apart and in between them thousands of illegals are slipping through. Hell, our Border Patrol manning the borders of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California have been fighting the uphill battle for a hundred years and getting further and further mired in the muck. This would be the same with Game Wardens trying to control the bear population by themselves. I have no idea how many man hours or days per bear it would take. The current crop of Wardens could probably at best devote maybe one day, even then they would have to do a staggered shift, which would be like fighting the Iraq War with .22's and no planes, bombs, tanks, etc.
Anyway, that is my take on the New Jersey bear situation. And I'm sticking to it! :>) Gotta run...I'm running late. Later!!!

Colt
M-M, the more I see of Kobe's wife, the more I think he is more than just a stupid idiot. She is cute and appears to be very sweet. She deserves better than Kobe. I still can't believe he'd allow that gigantic ego of his to allow himself to be compromised like that. Dumb and dumber as well as stupid and moronic!
Colt
M-M, I've had sex with 20,000 women in my career...and they say us Texans stretch the truth??? LOL Hell, I've only had sex with 19,999 women but, I don't go around telling the world like Wilt did.
Colt
M-M, as long as your wood/tree has a right angle branch with which to throw the rope over. Then a good swat on the horse's ass and voila, 'Dead Man Hanging'! <g>

Thanks, M-M...e/
M-M,
Who is "Damn Skippy"?
BTW, just type Colt for short. the 1861 Navy takes too damn much time...LOL
Colt
M-M, DA is probably a good enough player to keep around. He gave us 14-16 points a game with several games that made him look like an All Star. He is young and is the type of player that is hard to find...a slasher as well as a long distance shooter. But, he could bring a couple of young and talented players that Mo could build a team around. It only takes a year or two these days to build a championship team. The Spurs were actually a year or two ahead of schedule. The Blazers can do the same. I am not convinced that the Lakers will be any better off with their new look team. It looks old and slow to me. They needed speed and quickness more than anything.
