Major Earthquake, Tsunami Hit Japan
VOA News March 11, 2011
A massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake has struck off Japan's northeastern coast, triggering a four meter tsunami that washed away cars along parts of the coastline.
Video from national broadcaster NHK showed dozens of cars, large ferries and some buildings being swept out to sea in the port city of Kamaishi in the province of Iwate.
The Japanese Meteorological Agency issued a tsunami warming for the entire Pacific coast of Japan following the quake that struck about 125 kilometers off the eastern coast, at a depth of 10 kilometers. Residents in the coastal areas have been urged to immediately evacuate to higher ground.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in the U.S. state of Hawaii said a tsunami warning was also in effect for Russia, Marcus Island and the Northern Marianas. It said a tsunami watch was issued for Guam, Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia and Hawaii.
Friday's massive quake was felt in Tokyo, where it shook buildings and caused several fires. The Tokyo metro system says all train and subway traffic in the city has been stopped.
Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan has convened an emergency meeting of the Cabinet to assess the situation.

lol - Beleive me, I'm trying to be quiet so I can pick up a few more shares before this takes off. Financing news expected mid week might end the quietness though...
I bet I'll be paying over .40 on Wed or Thur...
Thanks for reposting that Rig. There is so much potential here. The more I read or reread the DD that has been presented both here and what I have found on my the own, the more shares I want. I have been adding since .10 back in October. May have to pay in the .40's next week for my last batch of shares.

This is Ihub. Most aren't into doing their own DD. They couldn't have been spoon fed any longer on this one by yourself and a few others. And how many have the patience to let something this solid/good unfold before their eyes?
Besides listening to others here I have done my own DD. I have been in contact with the company multiple times.
I have not found a more legit company trading at these levels with as much potential as CNYC. I could tell everyone what PPS I expect here this year but if you haven't done your DD you would ask me to put down the crack pipe. But if you have done your DD you would tell me I need to raise my expectations.
This is the real deal.(Period!)
It's all coming to fruition.
Good luck. I have one more blast at the Ask that's coming next week. .30's may be history after next week.. JMHO

Copper leads base metals boom in 2011
Published on: March 03, 2011 at 14:00
By Tapan Mishra
Copper is the most talked about commodity this year. Copper’s price and supply-demand characteristics are widely assumed to reflect the health of the world industrial economy, hence it is considered as excellent barometer to understand global economy’s health. In 2010, copper has outperformed other base metals and given returns of 30% with copper prices touching an all-time high of R465 per kg in first quarter of 2011. While gold has appealed to those seeking a hedge against inflation, copper has seen demand for its industrial use rise.
In 2011, copper prices are to be driven by strong fundamental factors like tight supply situation and increasing demand. Supply will play a key role in shaping copper’s price this year, after a 30% decline in stockpiles last year—the most since 2004 — and an anticipated shortfall once again in 2011. Refined copper production is set to rise but just at 1.12% lesser than the rise in demand of 4.50%. It is estimated that in 2011, the copper demand will surge around 4.50% backed on strong demand from China, India and also growth in US. International Copper Study Group has estimated global copper market will be in deficit of 4,50,000 tonne in 2011.
Copper Supply Constraints
Many leading mines across the globe that were developed over two decades ago are yielding ore with less and less metal content. Production at Escondida, the world’s largest copper mine, is anticipated to drop as much as 10 % in the next 12 months because of lower grades.
Due to shortage of domestic mines and a low percentage of productivity in the existing mines, India is already suffering loss in the level of production for Copper. Rising prices are attracting companies to start newer venture but copper mining projects take a long time to commence. Hence, no new major copper supply will be seen in 2011 further tightening the inventory situation.
Growing economies e.g. China and India are among the largest demand sources for industrial metals since the beginning of the last decade, and are responsible for at least 30% to 45% of all base metals consumption. India accounts for 3% of the global output but still has to depend completely on the copper ore imports. China’s State Reserves Bureau (SRB) will buy more refined copper in 2011 even as the prices hover near a record high, though the buying would not be that aggressive.
Overall, India and China’s copper imports are expected to go up this year and demand is also likely to rise by 7% in 2011 from last year. South Korea’s Public Procurement Service is also looking to raise copper stocks to 46 days of consumption in 2011 from 2010’s 42 days.
The pace of depletion in copper inventories at London Metal Exchange monitored warehouses is also indicative of a very strong demand outlook amid tight supply. In the past one year, copper stocks at LME-monitored warehouses have declined nearly 25%.
The world’s growing economies may choose to increase interest rates in an attempt to curb liquidity and control inflation. The People’s Bank of China has already increased key one-year lending and deposit rates by 25 basis points effective from 18 th Feb 2011. Another fear is of the substitution.
Rising copper prices will encourage use of other metals in plumbing & construction. Substitution will pull out around 3% of the copper in 2011. But at the same time, new usage like electric and hybrid cars should make up for the loss of demand caused by substitution. Since the fundamentals of the metal are strong, such negative factors could only drag copper prices down for a short period.
Kazakhmys Sees ‘Strong’ Copper Prices, Studies Options for ENRC
By Firat Kayakiran - Mar 3, 2011
Kazakhmys Plc (KAZ), Kazakhstan’s biggest copper producer, expects prices for the metal to remain “strong” as demand growth outpaces supply, Chief Executive Officer Oleg Novachuk said.
“The copper price will stay very strong at least for the next two years,” Novachuk said today on a conference call. “Delivering copper projects isn’t easy and demand is growing much faster than people can deliver projects to the market.”

We're so close here. This could LAUNCH as early as next week. IMHO
I may be able to pick a few more up before.. But I can hear the count down... 4...3...2...1...
Major Tom (Coming Home) - Peter Schilling
Standing there alone
The ship is waiting
All systems are go
Are you sure?
Control is not convinced
But the computer
Has the evidence
"No need to abort"
The countdown starts
Watching in a trance
The crew is certain
Nothing left to chance
All is working
Trying to relax
Up in the capsule
"Send me up a drink"
Jokes Major Tom
The count goes on
CHORUS:
4...3...2...1...
Earth below us
Drifting falling
Floating weightless
Calling calling home...
Second stage is cut
We're now in orbit
Stabilizers up
Running perfect
Starting to collect
Requested data
What will it affect
When all is done
Thinks Major Tom
Back at ground control
There is a problem
Go to rockets full
Not responding
"Hello Major Tom
Are you receiving
Turn the thrusters on
We're standing by"
There's no reply
CHORUS
Across the stratosphere
A final message
"Give my wife my love"
Then nothing more
Far beneath the ship
The world is mourning
They don't realize
He's alive
No one understands
But Major Tom sees
Now the life commands
This is my home
I'm coming home
Earth below us
Drifting falling
Floating weightless
Coming home...
Earth below us
Drifting falling
Floating weightless
Coming home...
Earth below us
Drifting falling
Floating weightless
Coming coming home...
Home.....
That one is working out well for you...
Damn! Can I get a loan from you?
Her job may have been more lucrative if she worked that corner at night like my wife...
