Emax man... the post you refer to was quoting, and in response to, my own post which was details of a phone conversation and consecutive email from my trading platform/broker.... Questrade which I had with them on Friday.
The date Nov. 1 is given because they allow a 2 month window for me to sell without being charged their personal $400 fee for non-DTCC stocks.
When I called and asked about it originally they were unaware of the situation and had to research it with the link I provided (which was posted here) and get back to me.
My understanding is that as soon as EMXC becomes on the DTCC once again, that $400 fee is no longer valid.
It was also noted by Questrade that non-DTCC can not be traded electronically and must be phoned in (they would however wave the normal $25 call-in trade fee).
I suggest a call to your personal broker to see how this affects you individually.
FWIW: The post which you read (in response to mine) does in no way represent my own understanding/feelings/ or intentions towards EMXC and any of it's counterparts.
Sincerely,
Nate
.... and stolen electronically? or physically (certs)?
Nate
Prof... which email works best? I sent 2 today but I want to make sure I get the right one to verify what others are saying here.
TIA,
Nate
Nice! Glad I added more today.
Cheers,
Nate
This is my response from Questrade:
Thank you for contacting Questrade.
This issue means after today, EMXC will become a non-DTC stock and you cannot trade it electronically.
If you would like to sell you positions, you can call our trade desk to place trade. There is no additional live trading fee of $25. Trade desk number is 1.866.980.9590.
However, if you will sell these positions after November 1st, 2011, we will begin charging $400 for non DTC eligible liquidation trades in addition to the regular commission.
My question is: If it is not traded electronically and thus makes it more difficult to buy/sell, doesn't it make it that much more difficult for EMXC to complete the buyback?
Nate
Called Questrade... they have no idea what I was talking about (DTCC)and said they'd call me back when they were able to research it.
I offered an email with the link.... no dice... it goes into a queue and it would take forever... ay carumba!
I know this doesn't mean jack to some but here's to being right lol

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say a big dog here has some trickery up his/her sleeve and got 3+ mil shortys today that'll show up on Finra.... just for fun. Let's see in an hour...
Nate
P.S. Well done big dog! :)
.. and CSTI's 12mil dissappears 'POOF'... up from 5mil yesterday..
For true Luke! 3mil and I would wager another 500k in 2-3 minutes...
Again no change with that hit. The ask went up 1mil seconds before the 500k hit and the ask stayed the same.
Looks like the ask is staying the same with these 500k's going through.
Nate
Is that u doing your thing (L2) like yesterday?
Nate
No kidding! ... what happened to CSTI's 5mil????
Nate
All I know is I bought 80k at the ask (routed through NITE).
The ask size remained the same, but the shares showed up in my account.
How it's done, I know not.
Same as yesterday, 100k came off the ask size but the 80k that just printed did not. FYI I am using a Questrade platform routing through MNGD which is NITE.... looks like they are shorting here.
Nate
Tky for posting your DD. Much appreciated. PM for you.
Cheers,
Nate
Ah ok! So basically you're here just to tell us that we made a bad choice investing here?
Are you trying to buy @ 1 or is this simply an "I told you so"?
It was 294,000
The first hit for 40,000 came off but the second for 45,000 did not.
Nate
... and now a 50 cent sell.... lmao
Amazing how the ask gets hit but the ask size doesn't change....
Nate
Ok tks PW.
Nate
Maybe this has been hashed over before but I'm new to the scene... does anyone know why the deal for 400mil shares was valued @ .10/share?
TIA,
Nate
