I agree with lipsync... unless we see a PR soon, the snowball of people unloading shares before the end of the year for tax purposes will take this stock much lower...
Also... Why isn't the stock moving at all... it is stuck at .18 with reasonble volume compared to other days... no shaking the tree going on... I guess people are just waiting it out huh?
Any insight on the patent itself from some of the legal-minded folks... perhaps some other case studies that are similar... maybe a response somewhere in between John Winston's - "It has as much worth as wet TP" and the folks on this board that pump like it is their part time job... I'm no expert but it seems fairly straight forward... are there other patents that are similar that have been filed before Calypso's? Or perhaps other patents that describe the process more completely?
How are the points that I brought up FUD? I am not a patent lawyer and looking at the patent, it seems great. I've invested a nice chunk of cash into this stock and I wanted to get some feedback from other folks to see how water-tight it is... that's not FUD...
I have some questions for the group since we have nothing else better to chew on... How defendable do folks think Calypso's ASNAP patent is?
There are quite a few companies out there pushing FMC who seem to be openly infringing on the ASNAP patent? Are these companies not concerned that they will be sued? Do they not know about Calypso's patent? Are there holes in it that could be exploited or wouldn't hold up in court? How strong is the patent itself?
What is the significance of this term "pink"... I see it used a lot but I'm not sure I understand what it means... I am new to investing on the stock market...
Very strange that they are ammending last years filings... and these filings for whatever reason have an impact on what is to be filed now... hmmmm very peculiar... any thoughts fellas?
Should I be concerned that my trade was not executed you think?
Not sure what to tell ya buddy... here are my holdings according to etrade...
2/7/2006 3,000 $0.40
2/17/2006 2,500 $0.36
4/11/2007 200 $0.24
9/14/2007 5,500 $0.18
9/19/2007 5,500 $0.18
10/18/2007 7,500 $0.13
11/1/2007 8,400 $0.18
11/14/2007 27,500 $0.18
Etrade hasn't updated the volume on their charts either... weird...
Beats me why the volume did not update... I see what you mean... here it is though:
Wed Nov 14 09:41:25 2007 Buy 27500 CLYW Executed @ $0.18
wooohooo... just picked me up another 27k
I tried to pick up another 30k at .16 and couldn't get it all day... I'm hoping it stays down because I'd rather not pay .18...
You guys are awesome... all I know is I am packing on another 30k shares today baby...
Te decision to put Baxter's phone number on here was not a wise one... if people would just stay put and chill for a minute... you could cut the FUD around here with a knife already... shutup or get out the kitchen...
Where do you folks get that kind of liquid cash to just buy millions of shares of stock?
I'm a working fool with a good wage and I could only scrounge up like 10gs...
Any bets for the high point tomorrow? I'm calling for a touch to .22 early in the morning and a rebound to .21 late morning with steady trading in the afternoon.
That makes things a bit clearer... I wasn't sure though if there may be folks out there still waiting for the Nov. 7th deadline to check back on the stock... we might see a move in the price tomorrow because of this... your thoughts?
So seriously guys... tomorrow is the Nov. 7th deadline and NO ONE has brought anything to the table. Any thoughts about what tomorrow is going to look like for the stock or the company?
I don't think this stock is going to go anywhere above .20 until mid to late week... and I'm gonna stick by that... but honestly... the daily fluctuation is very interesting.
It is dumbfounding... I'm new to investing, and I can understand the shake the tree concept that would drive a stock price down briefly, but then extrapolating that out... what would cause it to hop back up so quickly?
So last week we have over 1 million in buys... the stock jumps a few cents... today we have 100,000 in sells and the stock drops to .15 and possibbly more... I don't understand... what is motivating the stock to perform this way? Any more mature investors with some insight?
Wooahh... price drops to .15 with only a few thousand shares sold... what is going on?
Good morning fellow longs... The comments over the weekend have been educational... Any thoughts about the upcomming Nov. 7th date this week... folks have been mum on the topic all weekend...
Share price will stay right where it is until close of business Wednesday or some additional PR from someone...
Don't sell your house... with a stock like this, you should only invest what you can afford to lose... sure if everything goes well, in retrospect you'd consider it a good decision. If you have no wife and kids and want to work till your 70... go for it...
hahaha... you ain't kidding... I am about to raid the sofa for loose change...
What I tell you guys... the stock would stabalize at .185 around 3:00... Next week we'll see .22 by Wednesday...
I estimate that it will go up two cents and then stabalize back down to 18.5 by 3:00.
I think I am just not going to look at the share price until next year sometime... I'll either be out a chunk of cash or be a millionaire... sounds good to me...
So what do you guys think... is this thing going up or going down this week? Anyone want to cast their vote... I think it is going to go back down to the .10 range until we get some official news...
To the folks on this board that are far more "in the know" than I am... What happened with the court hearing yesterday? Did it occur, was it extended again? Is it being settled out of court?
Folks on this board are definately from two different camps... thanks for the merry jingle!
Check out these articles folks:
Stumbled across them while browsing the latest issue of Information week.

Long and Strong!
Final4... how is it that you always seem to have insider information from the executives at Calypso... what is your relationship to them that you can just call them up? I haven't been investing long but it seems like that would be insider information.
Folks on this forum are definately from two camps...
1. Calypso will pay off!! Just wait... right after the rigamortus sets in for sure...
2. And... Have faith, things will turn around in a few months when licensing deals start to blossom and the general public gets a taste of the potential for this technology.
Perhaps it would be helpful to know who's in what camp so I can keep things straight. Any takers?
Yeah I've been fairly fortunate... I bought a crap load of shares at .23 and some more at .17
I wish I could have gotten on board at .02 though, I wasn't paying close enough attention though... (kicking myself)
Oh well... tis the nature of the beast... I'm quite content having lost what I did because I beleive that this is still a good investment... I'll either be out a few thousand bucks or be up a quarter of a million... small price to pay for those kinds of returns...
I feel like a kid with a 50 gallon trash bag in a candy store with this stock... Does anyone else feel the same way... I certianly don't have 350k of stock, but I'm quite content with what I do have... It seems the whole mobile industry is moving in the seamless integration direction... with laws pratically on the books about texting while driving, the rest of the patent portfolio isn't looking too shabby either.
Also can a few of the longs comment about what happened at the shareholder's meeting... I wasn't there and I'd like to know what kind of vision leadership put forth for the future of the companies operations.
Aside of this forum, are there other sources of "reliable" information?
Over the last week I bought up some more stock and am looking forward to the explosion that everyone is talking about. A number of people in this forum have cited the end of the September as the start of a big upswing for the stock. These claims seem to be based on the outcome of the court ruling and a pending deal with Nokia. Can anyone draft out a rough timeline/chain of events for the next few months? I'm a new investor and I've tapped out my investment budget on this stock. I know that it is usually not a good idea, but I really beleive that there is a huge future for the technology and have stood by this position for the last two years. Just curious where the more experienced investors think things will go in the next few months.
I definately see a potential for big profits and Qualcomm seems like a fine comparison company, but what are the chances that Calypso will stick around instead of selling out - and if they do sell out, what happens to us as shareholders?
Thank you for your detailed explanation... over the years a lot of people have had things to say on this forum, most are just blowing smoke for sure... Does anyone have solid data as to when the Nokia licensing deal is going through... Is the company planning on posting and earnings for the 4 quarter? How do you folks think this will affect the stock price?
So is Calypso Wireless just going to license their patent or are they themselves looking to come to the market with a device themselves (I recall them demonstrating a device awhile back).
How are things shaping up with the leadership at the company itself, investor relationtions, promotions / marketing, support, future growth? Over the last few years I've been discouraged that no one has returned my phone calls or has been forthright about the direction of the company.
I'm wondering why the company has been bought out for its patents too? It seems it would make the most sense for a much larger company to buy the company outright instead of licensing.
What kind of realistic returns are expected on this investment? I'm not much of an investor myself... this is my first stock purchase and I bought it because I knew that this technology would be in high demand... two years later I am starting to see those fruits but I'm curious how realistic these predictions are. Does anyone with investment experience have some insight?
