I used to go to Shelter Island in the summers with a good friend and her family. I loved it!

You're right about that and the houses too close together. Go figure!

He's from Amityville though he lives here in Oregon now. He is a wonderful guy. He is in construction.

No, she is here in Eugene in a nursing home. I'm her only relative since she had no children and my brother lives in Coronado and has 2 kids in college. I raised hiom so I'm ready for some freedom from responsibility. We moved my sister here from Idaho where the surgery was preformed and when I had to put my sister in a nursing home I lost it. It was ver very hard and still is. Can you tell it's been a bad day? We had to take her for an mri and carderoid artery ultrasound.

No he is going in Feb. We usually go in Nov. for a few weeks but this year just 10 days or so together. Whenever I called, my sister was in tears, which isn't her usual way. It just makes her feel too insecure when we're both gone and I can't do that to her and fortunately Dave feels the same. She is so helpless emotionally and physically because some Dr. thought he was a miracle maker and did an 8 and 1/2 hour back surgery resulting in neurological damage to her legs as well as her mind. She was a terrible candidate for such an invasive procedure. She seems normal but has terrible short therm memory problems and she is in a wheelchair. It's very very sad! Thanks for the opportunity to vent.

Believe me I do!!!!!!! I'm a definate sun worshiper! My husband and I are taking turns this year because my sister doesn't do well when we are gone so we do what we have to do.

Considering your line of work I would imagine you have broad shoulders so you'll have to bear the burden! :)

please don't tortue me. If there was any way I could get there this time I would but I just can't. I knew you would be trading which is much more fun than any other job I can imagine. I will join you when I can get together with Monk but I would really like to meet everyone this time. Not to be but I am committed and only wish I had been here sooner. :(
