I think every court that views the documents justifying conservatorship realize they were under false presences and rushed because they were told how precarious the GSE financial predicaments supposedly were... if the amount in question wasn’t so large I bet we’d already have an official decision.

Not really... The mortgage market looks to him to keep the market stable for a 5 trillion dollar portfolio that's $5,000,000,000,000. Calabria doing this in an orderly fashion will ultimately lead to a higher PPS and a successful SPO when the time comes. No one else has done 1/4 in 10 years what he's done in 8 months. No one. All the while people sit here and rag on him I just read the steps he's taken such as off-loading under-performing loans, hiring FA's(probably announced w/in 2-3 weeks), publicly announcing their release to not scare the markets when that happens.... This is very orderly in my eyes considering the lift he's doing..

Do you think any deep pockets would invest in an SPO if they viewed the GSE's were unstable and poorly lead? Think Uber or SmileDirectClub if you want an example of peeing your $$ away in a bad offering.... Think short term pain for us long-term gain..

This is the yea they will be released... Calabria knows they need to be in a position so that any moves cannot be retracted if Dems take the WH or Senate... Thats because the savviest investors watch shorters on this board consistently be wrong and desperately try to bring price down knowing they are about to get raked over the coals... savvy investors know that Calabrias and the courts timeframe for action will happen most likely next quarter with the FA being hired... you have to be savvy to know that.

I would assume so going by Sweeney’s stern words for the gov’t. If damages are awarded to the GSEs I would imagine monetary damages would be paid and either lessen the need or erase the need for SPO... pps would skyrocket...

To me shares being traded and the GSEs not being initially taken over means they diverted from initial plans and we all know this. In their hast they only thought of the immediate and not for future health of their bottom lines and thats good for us as this is being revealed to courts..
