Perhaps the restructuring of the board is BECAUSE of negotiations...
No one knows but the board. but given the recent issuance of UI, I have no concerns
one thing is certain - our BOD understands well the meaning of the legal term NDA. As frustrating as that may be for many of us, I respect the quiet.
great post. Thanks
Sawyer needs to devote ALL of his time to creating MAXIMUM value for the IP portfolio.
5 for 5
Amazing!
A story from one year ago, but interesting
http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-57561899-93/facebook-tests-voip-adds-voice-mail-like-service/
Management has played this with cards close to the vest. No hype, just get the IP portfolio DONE, and assemble a GREAT board. Sometimes, simple is best
And once again RAFF boxing but a little higher.....
http://venturebeat.com/2014/02/26/whatsapp-shows-that-facebook-google-are-serious-about-competing-with-telcos/
Indeed, and our IP has some relevance
Boxing where a broker will position himself on both the ask and the bid
a VOIP drone network? I wonder if that is possible....makes for interesting speculation
interesting how the traditional telecoms must see the emerging Facebook business model as a serious threat to their traditional business....VOIP is going to be the buzzword for the future, and we have the IP....
It is going to be "interesting"
I think this board has the kind of experience (Orange PLC) to guide us through the complex negotiations required. Clearly, VOIP is the HOT TOPIC of tech, it was BEFORE Facebook spent 19 B on Whatsapp, and now it's even more so....and we have a HUGE portfolio of IP that is VERY relevant to VOIP protocols....
Game on.
very interesting article from last year, given FB's 19 B purchase....
http://techcrunch.com/2013/04/18/facebook-voip-home/
I am going to take a wild guess, but I believe that due to the likely existence of NDA's that a cc would be be a very stilted affair.
I'm content to let the BOD do its work....
It appears the price is being held here to allow someone using RAFF to accumulate a LOT of stock....
But what do I know.....I gave up trying to understand this stuff years ago...
Wait, I just tried to understand it...
I agree....bird in the hand
It is VERY important to remember that VOIP's IP has been contested prior to issuance, and very likely by some of the same entities that will now bid for it, so the BOD is being EXTREMELY careful, IMO, to protect the IP, which is why they have NOT relied upon notices from the patent office, but rather on the actual "patent in hand"....I don't see this changing, and therefore, until they have UI in hand, I am not expecting there to be movement in terms of an acquisition.
Of course, I could be wrong, but given how valuable LI is to Microsoft/Skype, and how important RBR and MG would be to Google/Droid, I think that being VERY cautious and conservative is a smart strategy by our board.
There's no reason that I can think of for them to hype the stock. The IP speaks for itself.
Google offered 10 B for WhatsApp? (that's what I read)....sounds like the big companies are up for spending what it takes to dominate
nice to see a good healthy rally off the 100 day MA here
I don't think there is any need to "hope". I am confident that the Board of Directors is aware of each and every step of the status of the IP and is in communication with any interested parties.
If we need to wait until the paper is "in hand", so be it....
Looks to me like UI is a done deal

If you are a buyer and you are buying the IP, logically, you want certainty about what you are buying. aging the patents "in hand" = certainty. Notice of allowance is a good start but is not CERTAINTY.
We soon will have CERTAINTY.
Oh, by the way
I think I forgot to mention,
we got ours ISSUED
Microsoft's was REJECTED...
I think that MATTERS
http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/voip-palcom-incs-lawful-intercept-and-microsofts-legal-intercept-patent-pending-applications-are-remarkably-similar-177242401.html
And why would Sawyer and Tucker get involved?
As stated by others, the patent art has been UNSUCCESSFULLY challenged by "others"...
This info is readily available, and you can call Rich Inza (IR) to get more....
Selling here after the company goes 5 for 5 on their IP makes no sense if you are long based on the facts supporting VOIP PAL...
I don't know, but I have a feeling that some pennies will become dimes
I just transferred some money into my account to try to buy more...
what fear....?
LMAO
blind, short or a market maker.....LOL
FIVE FOR FIVE. DONE.
I am very pleased.
no -we are on the same page...:)
The very reason that the company operates "lean" is for our benefit. No fancy office, no unneeded staff...fine with me. This company is a holding company for its IP. The IP is paid for, and they have no debt...
Batter up.....
IMO that website was just an attempt to discredit Rich Inza, and by association Voip Pal to get the share price down. If that site had been up for years and regularly tracked companies, that would be a different story. This looks like it was put up almost over night, there are spelling mistakes all over it, and how odd the timing is just as VPLM gets the 5th and FINAL patent.
IMO some people are nervous, as right they should be, and it isn't the longs.....
On reflection, I am very glad that today happened with the attack on our IR. Reason? It shows a level of desperation on someone's part to get the share price lower. They can't attack the company, so they go after the IR guy...
Shows they are scared
When this stock was first brought to my attention, my DUE DILIGENCE was based upon the IP and the probability of getting the patents issued by the patent office. If anyone would have told me that a year later, we would have gotten ALL FIVE, and have Sawyer, Tucker and Candy for our captains, I would have jumped for joy -and yet that's exactly where we are.
VOIP is becoming more of a buzzword each day. Even the FCC is talking about testing the possibility of replacing land lines with VOIP. Microsoft felt that they needed a LI solution and filed for a patent that was TURNED DOWN because ours PRECEDES IT.
And yet, the focus is suddenly on the IR guy. Really, is that the best the nay sayers can come up with?
"IR guys", who have worked for pink sheet companies will invariably work for some people they would like to forget about. I have worked for some people I thought were honest and guess what....
Rich Inza's job is nothing more and nothing less than to put out what the company wants to have as public information. If VOIP PAL has shown us ANYTHING, they have consistently been NOT interested in HYPE or FLUFF. What a refreshing change from the usual BS that we see about OTC pink sheet companies and the hot air they put in their press releases.
The shareholder of Voip Pal should be GRATEFUL that the company has NEVER attempted to boost its share price by such tactics, but instead has let the facts speak for themselves. And speak they do...
Up huge in a year with HUGE IP portfolio...and a great Board of Directors
No hype needed here, folks.
YAWN
"the greed chase.com"
what does any of this have to do with VOIP PAL's IP and BOD?
Rich Inza issues press releases on behalf of the company. He has ZERO to do with the actual running of it, the IP or the patents...
Not interested.....
they will stop at nothing to try to lower VPLM shares.....let em try,,,,
Funny how things look so "bleak" on a stock that is up 1000% in a year with Killer IP and a great BOD...
I guess I love bleak.....LOLOLOLOL
you are right. EVERYTHING an investor needs to know is there.
The patents, The BOD, the "interested parties" and why...
It's all there...if you understand that everything has risk, this is a really good one....
Yes, but keep in mind that the burn rate is significantly less going forward as the IP/Legal expenses abate...
great post
