Successful Review of P2O Technology by SAIC
In conjunction with the financing, SAIC Energy, Environment & Infrastructure, LLC (“SAIC”) was engaged to perform an independent review of the P2O technology and its commercial viability. The preliminary report provides a detailed analysis of the technology, process and business model for the Company’s patent pending Plastic2Oil process. The report also contains a pro-forma financial assessment of the capital costs and earnings for the P2O business model based on a scalable roll-out of three unit clusters.
SAIC is a FORTUNE 500® provider of scientific, engineering, systems integration and technical services and solutions.
SAIC was present at the Company’s Plastic2Oil facility in Niagara Falls, NY over a 3-day period, April 25-27, 2012. The role of SAIC was to review the principal aspects of the Company’s P2O process, including the basic engineering design, results from testing and operations at the Niagara Falls facility, and the commercial P2O processor, which is poised for roll-out at the first RockTenn site.
During the 3-day audit, the P2O processor ran in continuous mode, with 121,318 pounds of throughput, producing 10,287 gallons of No. 6 Fuel and 4,269 gallons of Naphtha.
“This independent review is by far the most comprehensive that we’ve undergone to date,” stated John Bordynuik, founder of the Company. “Furthermore, this is the first time we’ve received a pro-forma financial analysis from an independent third party, and we are extremely pleased with the positive conclusions.”
Unless there were unexpected delays/problems processor # 1 should be up and running. With the old parts replaced it should be working as well as number 2 was at the end of September into October.
well it certainly made a difference with the billionaire/millionaire investors.
yes I am well aware of that - the old chemicals are not allowed to be used today and had to be substituted. Same thing only different.
If you've been following the story you would know that the catalyst being used now is not the one that Bordynuik "discovered" in some old research report. Islechem looked at it and changed it. So what is being used now is really the Islechem catalyst.
I assume you are not up to date. JBI does not use Chinese reactors. Look at the photos - they do not compare in any way to the Chinese reactors. In fact, the 1st processor's reactor was replaced as it couldn't stand the test of time.
And as has already been recorded on this MB and elsewhere, in JBII's case, using Chinese designed reactors.
This is not some sleazy penny-stock company, This company is legit - JBI is the only company to have been ever be endorsed by SAIC.
Simply because the sleazy end of the US penny stock market is littered with stocks built on false claims of magic secret technology, and invariably they are false.
Too much damage to the company? You have got to be kidding - he's the reason we're all invested here - he's the person that brought a formula in some achieve to an approved pyrolysis system that will go down in history as the best in the world. If John left the company tomorrow I would sell my shares.
I wonder why it is so difficult for some to believe that John discovered a catalyst to turn plastic into fuel from achieve data. If they don't believe that then perhaps they believe he discovered it himself. No one, absolutely no one, has come even close to making spec fuel from plastic using pyrolysis.
are you in the plastic pyrolysis business? You make these statements as if an expert. Do you know how JBI's technology works. SAIC sure disagrees with you. Your statement would be correct if you're referring to others who have tried and failed in the past that's why JBI will be a difference maker going forward.
Plastic pyrolysis isn't profitable. No matter what the company says. Sorry. Harsh reality.
most of the big board companies have tanked.
Why would there be any legal repercussions for calling the CEO?
Wrong. The question put to me was why I won't call the CEO of a publicly traded company and ask him to give me insider information.
My response was that the legal repercussions are dissuading.
What part of the question and/or answer confuses you?
It said we have to wait for the proof in the next to quarterly reports.
Did you not see the last Q - it shows production is underway with expectation of CFP in Q1
you seem to know what they are paying for feedstock - what is the price?
that "A" company out west hasn't gotten as far as JBI and they've been trying for 11 years now. And to think they have the unlimited backing from Waste Management.
of course #1 is in a start up mode............the entire company has been in a start up mode for 4 years now!
I don't recall Mr. Irons saying that there would be run tickets. You said there was a PR announcing that?
Absolutely correct.
I don't have any problem with asking for run tickets......it's a fine idea. I do have a problem...actually it's more of a question....about why someone would ask, in BIG BOLD LETTERS, "WHERE ARE THE DAMNED RUN TICKETS YOU PROMISED AT THE AGM?" when there is no evidence at all that such a promise was made.
As far as I can tell he has only made one promise and we won't know for another 6 months whether he'll keep it.
so what do you think SAIC saw?
. People who say P2O works and everyone knows it are kidding themselves.
as much as we look forward to the Q I am more interested in Q4 and 2013 Q1 - That will be the telling factor to where we are and where we're going. Processor 2 appears to be working w/o issue as evidenced in the fuel trucks at the plant. With processor coming back on-line and # 3 being assembled we should have no problem being CFP.
does anyone know any company that sells PIPE shares without a discount?
It was inevitable that RKT would close some operations after the buy-out of Smuriff-Stone - there would be overlap. -
so this is done while the tubes are still hot or is it done after it is cooled? How long does it take to brush it down?
with that amount of carbon waste you would think the machine would have to be shut down and cleaned after a day of operation? Anyone have information that' suggests that clean-out doesn't happen on a regular bases. Also the length of time it takes to do a clean-out?
come on guys don't be so hard on these people - it's hard to market a product that requires a hazmat suit to operate and produces a peanut butter like substance.
here's hoping
Let's just wait and see before you hear/see anything.
The pictures suggest there may be some great news in the Q'erly report.
they need a densifier to process that plastic.
The Densifier is a machine used to reduce the volume of plastic material. It accepts scraps in most forms, including: film, ropes, nets, filaments, foam, non woven items, paper and cardboard. The final result is consistent regardless of the size of the scraps. There is no size limitation as long as the operator can safely handle the material. The Densifier accepts dry and wet material since the temperature will rise to over 100 degrees Celsius and the material will soften and agglomerate. The material can include various types of plastics with different MFI or melting temperatures as long as no metal debris is present, which could damage the blades and/or motor.
What are your grounds for calling JBI a scam?
However scams like JBII issue and allow sells of illegal shares?
according to the SAIC he certainly discovered/invented something.
Anyone who can sell a story about discovering a magic secret catalyst that can turn plastic into oil a a lower cost than anyone could ever have imagined, discovered or engineered decades ago but inexplicably abandoned and forgotten by its inventors only to be re-discovered by Honest John, because it just so conveniently happened to be on one of the very few magnetic tapes that he claims to have processed as part of a different business model,is obviously a highly competent con artist.
I also believe that it was mandatory that financing would only happen if he remained with the company.
nothing bad about Q 3 - the company is evolving - I'm thinking similar numbers to Q 2 but Q4 I believe has the potential to exceed the previous 3Q's combined
How bad do you think Q3 will be?
That has been the plan - the goal of the company for some time. Roadblocks and challenges have slowed progress but the current goals seem realistic.
Seems like it's always the next Qtr.
"Q3 will still be lacking significant numbers - it's the next q that will be interesting."
what does anything you said have to do with his ability to evolve the technology. JB is the Chief Technology Officer - his knowledge and abilities cannot be replaced. If he goes I go.
Q3 will still be lacking significant numbers - it's the next q that will be interesting.
and to think it's as a result of only 1 processor operational. # 1 is down for repairs and # 3 is being constructed.
I've been waiting to see evidence of tankers being loaded on some consistent basis, and the recent activity has convinced me to go back to a full position. We'll see if I was bamboozled, or not. While I don't expect much in Q3, Q4 looks on pace to be far more respectable. I feel we are seeing very tangible results of a much stronger company with new management in place.
If it wasn't for Mr. Bordynuik this company wouldn't exist. He continues to be a major reason why the company will succeed into the future.
JBI fuel should be golden then as their high quality, low-sulfur fuel can be mixed with number 6 fuel. That should allow them to apply for tax exemptions as their fuel and bio-fuel both reduce harmful emissions.
I dont see that listed as an option.
Conversion Options
Buildings that currently use No. 6 or No. 4 oil have a number of options for converting to cleaner fuels. These include:
No. 2 oil, which is the cleanest heating oil available on the market and reduces fine PM emissions by over 95%.
Biodiesel, a renewable liquid fuel that has similar properties to No. 2 oil. Biodiesel is typically mixed with heating oil at levels of 5%, 10% or 20% (known as B5, B10 and B20 respectively). Buildings that use biodiesel are eligible for a tax refund from New York State.
Natural Gas, a gaseous fossil fuel primarily composed of methane that is supplied from a utility pipeline to the building.
Steam, Buildings located in Con Edison's steam delivery territory in Manhattan can eliminate the need for an on-site boiler by receiving from the utility to heat their buildings.

probably because the DEC raised the input number from 2000 to 4000 lbs. per hour.
...probably why the SAIC 'audit' can't be relied upon any longer. Hmmm.
