Cool; keep building that position.
BTW, there is nothing wrong with being scared. Happens to me. I do not have nerves of steel like Noretreat.
I'm not a trader, but I did sell half my original lot when it doubled, so the rest were free.
Buy DURING the offering. Seems to be a persistent pattern with SYN.
Youlie and Ebuilder, But this happens all the time in biotech. I first bought into SYN at $1.01, during an offering in December 2013. Even if the new offering were made at $3 (and I am NOT saying it will be) it has tripled for me in 18 months. Then I bought more during the offering in spring 2014. That is more than a double at $3.
I have every confidence that SYN's upward movement will begin again, right after this offering. This management is taking care of business.
I'm out as well.
Bio, Remember the ONCS warrants would automatically adjust for the 1 for 20 reverse split ONCS recently did. So each 1 million shares at $1 become 50,000 shares at $20 each.
Edit: assuming you did not already do the adjustment in the numbers you posted.
good move!
OK
Edit: confusing is right. I suspect this is of VERY minor importance.
One step at a time, but in the longer term, $17 will be low.
Right, I added the OPK shares I received from the acquisition to those I already held. Hence I was somewhat ambivalent about Prolor being acquired and no longer having that pure play on the CTP molecule..
Yes, it was a proposition that was hard to resist, altho I have much more faith in OPK management.
I wish we had been able to keep those shares. Sigh.
02, Global warming as one cause of bee decline

OK. Please let us know.
Oh, THAT trigger.
I missed that. I'll look it over, but I may get befuddled.
Edit: I guess it was essentially a trademark infringement or conflicting trade name case which did not go their way. They appealed, lost and are now using procedural grounds to appeal it at the next stage.
Just be careful which trigger.
Sttone, Weren't you with me in Prolor?
My interpretation is that it is intended to reinforce bullish feelings toward OPK. Whoever put it together did a pretty good timeline on the development of the Prolor CTP technology and clearly shows major potential applications for OPK to eat the lunch of many drugs which have to be taken daily.
Good seats, watching potentially historic moves by SYN.
OK. Thank you.
Postyle, I am really liking the upward surge today. What is the likelihood mediation will be successful?
Thank you. I guess you learned the hard way, like I did.
Then best of luck to you!
Youlie, The best thing you can learn at 23 is threefold: patience, diversification and humility.
On patience, biotech is the sector most fraught with delays. The companies have to carefully develop their IP.
You have a whole life time ahead of you and - if you don't risk what you can't afford to lose - you can bet the farm. What IMHO is most important is establishing your own safety net of savings sufficient to live on for a year. What you do invest should be diversified over at least 4 or 5 stocks, to spread out your risk.
Lastly, if you make a killing your first or second time out, let's say in SYN, you start to think you are the greatest. One word: don't. Continue to learn from others, preferably doing only things your grandmother wouldn't mind reading in the newspaper.
My 2 cents.
I was just out by El Paso last month. A bit out of your orbit.
Acknowledging that anything can happen, I sure hope we don't go back to $1. I admit I first entered at $1.01 and followed SEEL and NoRetreat over here. Prefer to head north from here.
Good nest egg.
So, does that mean we're invited if we happen to be in the area?
Youlie, It's best to assume no news and then be pleasantly surprised. Just make sure you have your shares.
I also would not be surprised to have some sort of pullback in the morning as some people take some short-sighted profits.

The principal author of the Declaration of Independence and one of the greatest Founding Fathers, Thomas Jefferson was elected the third President of the United States in 1800. During his tenure, Jefferson authorized the purchase of the Louisiana Territory, dispatched Lewis and Clark westward in order to explore the remainder of the continent and repealed the Whisky Excise Tax.
After Jefferson retired from public office in 1815, he often tended to the garden that he had cultivated on his Monticello estate. At the time, it was customary for wealthy farmers, including Jefferson, to distill the excess grains they harvested from their farms into spirits (George Washington was one of the country’s largest distillers of rye whiskey). As a result, each farmer’s spirits were unique and reflected the local terrior of their farm. The Jefferson’s brand pays homage to Jefferson and the exquisite whiskey he distilled.
Those silver coins you used to buy more MNOV must have been in the tin can I buried in the park.
Secret is: Ebuilder has electro-magnets which stick out on arms from the right side of his car. He finds cans like you would not believe along the roads.
Of course, he still needs to get out to pick up the aluminum cans.
CHM, Just $29? Ebuilder and I are holding out for at least $34.
Bunch of plastic recycling here that you can cash in for more CYNA shares. Just stop by.
I can also give you a bunch of VHS tapes you could market on Ebay.
Glad you are building up your position! Big step for you. lol
[private joke]
Fun, I agree completely.
Protag, Please forgive my ignorance, but how does the Seres pill differ (at least in concept) from taking probiotic capsules with "helpful bacteria?" I recognize that each health company's probiotics represent different mixtures of bacteria in the gut of healthy people, so each is different. But the concepts sure sound similar to this non-biologist. TIA for pointing me in the right direction.
Fun, I see it now, but you're right, it needs more promotion and better placement.
cool. But we need some mention of Jefferson's there.
