Sweet!!

Sonny,
If the technology that UPBS is developing is for real you may be on to something, see second paragraph:
The 2007 HealthLeaders Annual CIO Survey reflects how the fabled “IT project” is morphing into what might be dubbed the “clinical project with an IT component.” More than three-fourths of the 191 respondents either have or are forming an IT steering committee with representation of the organization’s top executives. The fact that CEOs sit on more than half these committees reveals the importance of IT in the modern hospital. It also explains why finance, physician and nurse executives often have seats at the planning table, as well. Curiously, more than one third of the CIOs in the surveyed hospitals report to the CFO. That might be a throwback to the legacy information system days when hospital IT mostly comprised ADT and billing functions. Or it could underscore the heightened ROI expectations hospitals have around multimillion dollar clinical IT investments.
Indeed, many of our respondents will be spending big on clinical information systems in the years ahead—nearly half will “substantially increase” their budgets. For the vast majority, those IT budgets are less than 3 percent of total operating revenue, so there is adequate room to expand spending. That’s good news for IT vendors. But given the fact that “best of breed” environments are still outnumbered, that money will be spread around. For now, medication administration technology is a priority; it dovetails nicely with the wireless infrastructure already in place at the vast majority of respondents’ hospitals. Many hospitals are thinking big here. Not only will they barcode medications, but equal numbers aspire to a “closed loop” medication administration system in which transactions are tracked from start to finish. Patient safety remains a clear IT driver.
ot. Steel,
Pens rule. I was there this afternoon. It was awesome. Can't wait to get a new arena. I know how much I enjot the Pirates games even though they suck. PNC Park is sweet.
What was the old company that was sold to Merck?
All sounds good but be careful.
Wow, I'm good. All three indexes I watch just went green, Dow, S&P, and Russell 2000.
PS I'm starting to enjoy posting to myself. Maybe I'll start criticising my posts.
Everyone have a nice weekend. Hopefully better things to come next week with TKO.
Looks like the market is trying to eke out a gain today. It's been a great week.
It scares me. The link that you sent really looks like a pump and it cleverly never mentions the company or product in all the headlines that it features. As I said I din't do much research on this one but the one thing that I found interesting is that they have no sales.
I knew that. Thanks.
I can't see how there would be an earnings disappointment when no-one is expecting anything but a marginal improvement over the prior quarter.
I was told a few weeks ago that there would be some form of guidance with the earnings release. I was not told any specifics.
Personally I don't think a conference call is necessary when earnings are right around the corner. In fact I would argue that if the earnings are a non event as we all hear that they are going to be, then a CC now would be foolish. Better to give some positive guidance and take the spot light off this quarter.
I have a few doctor freinds who are actually part of the IT team team that are building the system. I'll send this off to them. Thanks.
I will ask people where I work if they've heard of it. We are literaly spending $100's of million of dollars on EHR's (electronic Health records)solutions to ensure safe administration of medications, as well as many other outcomes as well.
I'm a little hesitant on the over the counter stocks. I looked at CVCP and I have a hard time understanding why that's a $1.40 stock. There must be some risks that I don't understand. I haven't really looked that closely at it.
Even the dwdn stock confounds me as on the surface their financials look good, yet it trades at .25.
Or a continued spiral up, with an occasional pull back on news.
Steel, give me some love for being positive.
Really.
Big trade just crossed.
At times he comes off as a real cool guy and at other times I don't know what to say. I don't know him personally, but enjoy most exchanges with him.
I have a somewhat wierd sense of humor and some take it as I'm attacking people. But that's not my nature. I'm also not a pumper. I believe in this company otherwise I wouldn't be here. You'll notice lately that I've been posting quite a bit. That's because a lot of the missing/expected puzzle peices regarding TKO have been made public recently and I'm more convinced than ever that it's coming together. And I therefore feel compelled to share what I believe is the big picture. I'm certainly not going to give up because of the fickle market and daily pps swings. The market always gets it right at some point, and if we're right (and I said if) we're going to be handsomely rewarded.
Thanks Sirius. It seems, especially on the Yahoo board that everybodies just out to discredit one another. Color just called out GLL over there. We're all just trying to help. I know I am. I guess the difference with me is I'm a long term investor. So all the negative banter regarding daily swings is just banal babbling to me.
It should be clear now, however it doesn't seem to be. This is not going to happen overnight. Please don't anyone respond and tell me you've been waiting for 3 years. I know that. I've been in a long time also. Let me say for the record, I have no certainty that what I believe will happen down the road will happen or not. But the evidence is starting to mount such that I feel a whole lot better then I did 6 months ago. I have therefore been buying. I may be totally wrong, but this is my bet. We argue daily, minutely (not sure if that's a word) about management, execution, etc. The proof will be in the pudding. None of us with our contacts, ear to ground, etc. can give specifics. The next 3 10Q's will give specifics and then you can make a decision to hang in there or sell. You can obviously make a decision to sell tomorrow if your unhappy and tired of waiting. That would be understandable. I'm going to hang in there and will continue to buy through the first couple quarters. Just my two cents.
BSD,
Good buy today. If you trade with Waterhouse you made a penney.
Everyone have a good weekend.
I guess it all depends on your definition of long.
There are still a tremedous amount of shares being traded (relatively speaking) even thought the news is a few days old and clearly opinions have been drawn. Typically, especially in a downtrend, the volume on TKO slows almost to a halt. I'm seeing this as a positive. Anybody care to opine?
Good for you, I got more at $3.12 just a few minutes ago.
You're insane. However, I just put my buy order in.
OT One of my other speculative plays is having a minor run today. Beacon Power corp(BCON). They make flywheels. Some folks where I work were impressed with the technology and a few years ago there was a "rumor" that GE was in pursuit. This is from the Yahoo profile:
Beacon Power Corporation, a development stage company, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the design, development, configuration, and sale of products and services to support electricity grid operation. The company?s sustainable energy storage and power conversion solutions provide electric power for the utility, renewable energy, and distributed generation markets in the United States. Its products include Smart Energy matrix and Smart Power M5 inverter system. The company?s Smart Energy matrix is a modular and flywheel-based energy storage system designed for use in grid frequency regulation and other distributed generation applications. The Smart Power M5 inverter system for the photovoltaic energy market converts direct current generated by solar cells from sunlight into alternating current required by residential and commercial users for operating electrical devices. The company also offers Smart Energy 25 system for energy storage solution and Smart Energy 6 system for remote terminal power backup for the telecommunications industry and various applications for cable television, wireless, and broadband companies. Beacon Power was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Wilmington, Massachusetts
They can stay asleep for a while longer while we accumulate.
Thanks again. You're the best.
Actually I just reread the e-mail, I'm wrong. She was explaining why the stock's going down. My bad. Time to call it a day.
She was being sarcastic, joking. At least I think she was.
Thanks for the info. You shouldn't do that to Isaiah, he has an in with God.
PS Have you heard anything on the aquisitions? I heard they are good companies with positive cash flow?
Thanks. I may wait until tomorrow as well.
Any of the faithful buying. I considered it yesterday and am strongly considering it now. Just curious if anybody is on the same page as I am.
OT
Don't froget the "O" where a small order of fries can feed a family of 8.
One of my favorite sayings, especially when playing someone for money in golf "It's like finding money".
Monteray Bay is excellant. Two locations one in towm and one in Monroeville. The Monroeville location is new and inside the Monroeville Mall annex. Fresh fish flown in dailey.
Who are they playing? I'll be watching the Pitt game with a cold one as well. Going to the Big East Tournament @ MSG for the first time this year. I understand it's a great time.
I used to do this for a living. I really do know how to invest, and used to work with the best investment managers in the country. Just because I provide information from a broker doesn't mean that I don't reason for myself. I just like having someone in the know on speculative companies.
Walrus,
ReRead my post. I think you misinterpreted what I said. Thanks
I have no more answers. I would suggest you sell and put the proceeds in CVCP.
Maybe I do have one more answer, doesn't matter when the PR came out, not a bit.
If anyone can tell me why the timing of the day when the PR was released makes any difference in the world, I'd love to hear it. I can't imagine that if the PR came out at 10:00 or 3:00 or after hours the share price would be any different.
I'm done ranting.
You either wait for the results over the next few quarters or you don't. You're seeing groundwork laid. You have even been told that it was coming. If you don't believe it's for real, and feel that you've waited to long then don't stick around. I have no reason to believe that it's not all coming together.
Every time the stock goes down 10-20 cents everybody starts complaining. For God sakes the stock is up 46-50% in little more than a month!! It's the stock market, things don't go straight up.
I know a lot of people, including myself have bought in the $5's, so we were early to the party. But the party really is just starting. I know I'm wasting my breath on a lot out there because if it's not $5+ by next week, then Ron's an idiot, I'm an idiot, Walrus is an idiot. I for one am willing to wait.
With regards to stealing money from the shareholders, the biggest shareholders are the owners, officers, etc. Beleive me they want the stock price to soar.
