Just letting people know I'm still around in case anyone has missed me. LOL
Good to see MG's facebook post on Friday. It's better than nothing at least. (Even though some may not agree with that statement)
Anybody know anything about this company? http://www.reeltimecoalinga.com Should they be using our name? Seems like some type of infringement at the very least.
Asus - With all due respect, those pics are of a local server farm, not at the rltr offices. I usually respect and like your posts, but c'mon. I visited there too, and so did a friend of mine, and NEVER did any of us see anything even close to those pictures. Did you really honestly take those pictures at the rltr offices or somewhere in the same building? If so, I stand corrected.
Amen Desert Man. I always love your optimism! I too would like to be on that bus with anyone and everyone who hangs in there. What a fun ride it will be. MG driving, Bev on the loudspeaker, Pmunch throwing beads to women in the crowds (or much better just bring the women on the bus and have them do the throwing) all the while dragging whoever and whomever we can finally pinpoint as being our largest detractor from success over the years in the cage behind.
It's in honor of Pmunch's never ending support.
Looks like we are trading! Up 72% today on Scottrade.
Well, it's been a week. When is this thing going to start trading?!
Anybody know when this might start trading again? Or has it, and there's just no interest? So, it looks like a 20 for 1 stock split. Hopefully this company now can grow their business and really start moving.
Didn't seem like a stupid idea to me!
I think it was just a fat finger. Dooon't get excited, LOL :) Have a great weekend everyone! Don't let people like JB get to you for now. If Bev leaves on her own accord (or is ousted) a 2nd time (or would that be a 3rd or 4th time??), then and only then will I start to wonder.
I love it. It looks like an old silent movie slide. But, who the heck really cares anyway.
The main thing is we have some people at the helm now who we can at least trust to do their best in my opinion. That's all you can ever really ask, isn't it? GLTA!
Thanks for doing your part dp. Good luck to all us longs! I too hope very much that we can now just look forward and not back. I actually have a hope that it will be fun and somewhat informative again someday to read this board.
I believe as most do here that Bev and M.G. will do a great job for us shareholders. However, I'm not sure how much they plan on being involved. Didn't Mark's press release only say they were being added to the board? That could mean they are going to be very active, but couldn't it mean also that they are just going to be in advisory roles, and not involved in the day to day activities of the company?
On another note, I wonder if Todd would consider coming back if asked? I don't know if he has all the skills needed of him, but even if he doesn't, I think just his sheer determination to help rltr be successful and his great attitude and work ethic that I heard about and saw with my own eyes would be more than enough to be worth having him part of the team again. I for one hope he comes back.
Porter is my favorite. Looking forward to drinking a brew with you Desert!!
Read back a day or two Trumpace. You will see what has transpired. I can tell you this though from the press release that Mark put out, that Bev and Michael have been added to the board of directors with Reeltime. It's hard to know what to think these days. However, being an optimist and always having a good 'feeling' about Bev since she first came on the scene, I am excited and wish everyone all the luck and energy necessary to turn our little company into a world class business!
Amen OldE5. One of the better posts on here in awhile. Thanks.
The correction has happened in my opinion. We are basically heading up from here, not ruling out a couple possible headfakes, until about April or May. Might at that time make a new high above Jan. 19th. After that, God help us all. I'm predicting a new low below 2009 by the end of 2010 or before. 5K on the dow is certainly very realistic.
Seen this many days go by before without any trades, so it's not much of a concern in my camp. Not much going on, so I'm not surprised.
The letter from Mr. Green to Gonzalo over on Asus's board is all I need to keep the faith. Personally I don't like profanity, and it could have been written with a tad more tact, but it just proves that this company wants to make it. Go Mr. Green! There are some like myself who are still behind you 100%. What's unfortunate though is that Bev and Green's relationship has seemed to wither. I have a lot of respect for Bev and from my angle she really deserves a lot of credit, and I just wish that Bev and Mr. Green were still working together and seeing eye to eye.
Excellent post Gauchoalum!
We don't care what you are going to do in 4 or 5 days. I can assure you it's not going to affect anyone else's decision on this board or anywhere else.
Just so people don't get the wrong idea, that picture is a 3rd party server farm, and was never the server room at the offices of Reeltime. Just wanted to be clear. While reeltime may not be using this particular company anymore to house their servers, (It's possible though that they still are) reeltime may have their servers at an equally impressive or even better server farm in the area.
I think I get why they were removed now. Thanks Bev and Pmunch. Also, thanks for your willingness to put in the time to moderate this board. While I don't always agree with things you post, I have absolute 100% respect for you both. You've handled yourselves exceptionally well both as an employee of Reeltime as in ReelBev's case, and as posters and moderators as in both your cases.
I just read Mr. Greene's post after what I wrote and posted. Way to go Mr. Greene! And like I think Desert said, I'd rather also hear passion and someone who's fired up than the crud this board has been about lately. I might be in the minority, but I have more hope now for this company than before reading Mr. Greene's post.
Actually, unless I'm mistaken, Mr. Greene's posts seemed to have been removed. Pmunch and/or Bev - Was there a TOS violation in his posts?
Maybe do or die for you, but not for me. Besides, what are you going to do... sell your shares at this price? Even if you view the upside chance as a trillion to 1, there's still more upside potential to this than downside even if you practically hold till your shares are worthless. James knows this, and knows that he has all the time he needs. Making the real big money in a pink is analagous to practically winning the lottery as far as odds go. I don't see anyone on their state lottery sites bitchin' that they didn't win last week. However, that's kind of like what's happening here. Bitching can really only come from people who think they were hoodwinked or lied to. That's why nobody ever writes the lottery office and complains about not winning. They never feel lied to. They knew the odds and accepted them. Now, when most pinks have a history of hoodwinking and lying, then why would anyone think that the pink company 'they' invested in would be any different? Both the lottery and a pink sheet stock are gambles. However, pinks are more fun since due to management execution (or the lack thereof) the odds can be affected, whereas with the lottery the odds are already known and set in stone before one ever buys a ticket. I find it funny that anyone would whine over ANY pink sheet stock. Save the whining for the people who bought Enron or WorldCom when they were doing well, and held till it was too late, or for those who invested with B. Made-off. It was these situations that a reasonable person could not be faulted for believing that their investment wasn't just a complete gamble and they wouldn't lose everything. With a pink, one should invest knowing that losing everything is the most probable outcome. If that's the most probable outcome, then where does the desire to bitch, moan and complain even come from? Lied to? Comes with the territory. Hoodwinked? Happens all the time with Pinks. C'mon everyone, get a grip. Just be happy we have any chance at all, unlike it being a Monday morning the 11th, with a lottery ticket dated the 10th that's only matched 2 of 6 numbers. If you take that attitude, every day we haven't lost is an exciting and wonderful day!
Man, I must be naive or something, as I read the letter from JG on the 15th as nothing but positive. I've got 5 or so more posts to read, but I think after 30 or so posts, I've only seen 1 or 2 that could be construed as positive in any way. What else do we have?? It's either James way or the highway at this point. Attacking him does no good no matter how upset you are. You are only dimishing the chances of the one thing we all want... Success and a higher share price. People's posts here reak-(sp?) of insanity. If you have nothing to post that's positive, why post anything at all and dimish our chances of success??
Potential new shareholders have a very probably chance of coming accross this board. Plus, just putting negative energy into the collective consciousness doesn't help either. Please everyone, I know you have the right to post almost anything you want, but please think about posting nothing unless you have something positive to add.
It's sad to hear things have soured between Mr. Green and ReelBev. I remember in her posts of reeltime past that she had a lot of respect for Mr. Green and she talked highly of him. I guess I had an illusion that no matter what, they would remain good friends and supporters of each other. It looks like that's not the case.
Hopin' for a bus ride someday with my reeltime partners. At least I got to meet some of them at the shareholders meeting already. Pmunch and the others I met there were all great people from what I gathered. I really hope there is some magic here that catupults reeltime to success. It's not only magic that we need, but a little can't hurt.
On another note, did RTK 'get off the bus'? Was his I-Hub account suspended? Not that I particularly miss him or anything, LOL :)
Somewhere, somehow that had been explained, because I almost posted the day this came to light on the board that James Green WAS Challenge. I'm behind on my reading, so maybe this has already been covered, but this wasn't news to me, and I don't remember doing any digging for any of this.
It's thinly traded, and a few people sold yesterday. No more, no less in my opinion. The share price jumping around right now has no significance to me until we reely get going. Will we get going? Who knows, but I believe we will, so I'm a buyer at these prices. Those that think we never will get going are, well, a seller at these prices.
Nice try for cheaper shares Verjamb. And DON'T try and tell us that's not your plan. Your post reaks of exactly what it is. A weak attempt to buy more shares at a lower price.
I am soooo happy with Mr. Greene's announcement today. We would be dead in the water without him. Everyone needs to go have a wonderful holiday season in my opinion, and we'll pick this up in January. And while you're at it, give thanks to all the staff at Reeltime for all they are doing. nuff said.
I'm with Mike too. Well said Mike.
I'll take you up on that bet in a heartbeat V.
I knew I could count on you, Desert! :)
Yes, but in the biggest picture, that's not important right now. I believe short term pps movement is not what management is focused on right now, and in my opinion that's a good thing. Heck, more time to accumulate too! I've always loved Jim Carrey's line in Dumb and Dumber... So, You're tellin' me there's a chance? Whoo! We've been given that chance, and that's what I personally am focused on right now. Just hoping that management executes properly and has the right amount of luck brought about by hard work that will make our company profitable and get us on that Bus with cocktails in our hands, and wads of cash in our pockets. Can I hear an Amen?
The less that ReelBev and ReelTimer post, the more excited I get. This management is doing things right, and I'm pretty sure they told Bev it's not a good idea to post on this board (although if she does, I imagine it will be more just to kind of say Hi, rather than anything of substance) and Reeltimer is probably too busy accumulating shares to have time to post. All imho.
I believe I remember something about Bev and James having something to do with 'THE' PBS, so I would think that it's the PBS we would all be hoping.
Yes! Hopefully another buying opportunity!
I think we will launch on Nov. 1st. That said, I don't really care that much if we don't, and I also don't think or care if the site has a whole ton of movies or content or if the store does either. It will all come if we are destined to make it. If not, it won't. I believe it will. My opinion is that we have a better than 50% chance of becoming a profitable company someday, and whether we get rich or not, at least should do well on our investments. Doing well in my mind equals an above average yearly return. If I have invested $5,000 and sell someday for $10,000 and it takes 5 years, then I've made 20% average annual return. That is AWESOME in anyone's books, or at least should be if it isn't! I should get paid no more for supposedly 'higher risk' investing in a pink company, for what does 'higher risk' really mean anyway?? People have lost their shirts on what was perceived to be some of the best companies in the country, so that in the end was high risk. Is a pink upstart really riskier than a blue chip? Stats from the past would support that, but stats from the past do nothing for someone holding a blue chip companies stock that goes to zero. Madoff had good stats too. Risk is hard to calculate in something as random and manipulative as the stock market. Risk is easy to figure in most forms of gambling, but then again, who's ever gotten rich gambling and playing by the rules in something other than for instance poker? All imho.
I was thinking the same thing CM. I don't know if I'll ever understand the reasoning behind 'bashers' wanting to post. I know they aren't trying to 'save' the rest of us, not enough people truthfully really have the time to just make a sport of it, so... my only conclusion is that they are really just trying to get cheaper shares and they see bashing as a way to further their goal. That's the only thing I can come up with, honestly. They will ALWAYS deny that, but I can see no other reason. And, for the record, I do know that there is a difference between bashing, and posting constructive criticism, being disillusioned, or just plain old being 'bummed out' in one's posts. Krunj's post reaked of bashing.
Does everyone realize that being able to stream live content would give us a MUCH LARGER potential audience? We could compete in a totally new space, one that we have many times wished on this board was a possibility, but time and time again were reminded that was not possible since video needed to be encoded and then watched after the fact. We could also hit viewers with goods for sale when their emotion is at it's peak, ie., right after a live presentation has been watched.
