Holy smokes Batman, I'm wrong again!
So, I deliberately tuned out the fED yesterday. Looks like I made another bad decision. D'OH!
I feel violated. LOL!
So, four years ago (or was it five?), I was laid off, and had to sell all of my 401K holdings and convert to an IRA. At that time the SPY was about 153, near it's all time highs. The market was going straight up and not allowing any entries on a pullback. I plunged forward and started rebuying positions at the all-time market high. Over the next 18 months, I bought all the pullbacks until I gave up at the bottom. Unfortunately, I panicked at the low and went to cash, expecting a continued drop. I lost half of my retirement money.
Burned and bitter, I stood by as the market began climbing. I thought it would go lower, and have never gotten back in with more than a third of my funds. Well, once again the thieves manipulate the game, and steal from the naive. They have now brought it back to within 10% of the all-time highs, and have now instituted more government manipulation of markets.
Oh, so NOW I need to be 100% back in with the 50% of what I had before, while gas prices are at all-time highs, and iterest rates are at all-time lows. My savings have been decimated, the purchasing power is weak and getting weaker.
I represent the other side of Government manipulation. I'm the white guy that worked hard, sacrificed and saved, and drove an old car with no a/c because I knew I couldn't have everything, if I wanted to get ahead. But, since Obama and ACORN, and all those do-gooders forced banks to lend to poor credit risks, the housing market tanked and led to the problems described above.
What program is in place to bail out the guy that followed the rules, who was a good credit risk, and got scammed by the V-bottom? Before I knew what was happening, the government had taken half of my wealth from me. Now it's gone forever.
Now that Bernanke has gone all-in with his dollar destruction plan (as if this isn't engineered to get us all on a single currency. hahaha), we are at the mercy of government manipulation forever. Will they be in the market today, or won't they?
They are forcing us to play in this manipulated, rigged game, lest we sit idly by until our savings are worthless. I feel like I'm blind-folded and walking down the plank with a bayonet to my back and the promise that at the end of the plank I will find a buffet of fresh and delicious food to eat.
Eliminate the dual mandate immediately. If we can fix this situation, the government needs to go back to protecting our borders and that's it. The creature from Jekyl Island is a monster out of control. It IS time to panic now!
MF4
Is this just another way the FED takes toxic assets off the banks balance sheets?
Is this good?
Does this change your course map?
How close are we to a big selloff? Seems like the FED eliminated that possibility?
MF4
Big,
I wouldn't be shocked if the selloff starts an hour after the QE3 announcement this Thursday.
MF4
Hey Big,
OK. So, we're at the highs for the year. Strong rally today. GLD and SLV appear to have started a new bull run. The stock market is the only game in town. Where are we at in your scenario?
I could see the market topping here for the year with Bernanke announcing QE and the Iphone 5 announcements on the 12th. But, the market is only 13 SPY points from all-time highs. Do they pullback here? Run it up to 156. then pullback? Or run it to 200 in an unprecedented show of shock and awe and make the cautious chase until they're left holding the bag again?
Is this just an orchestrated manipulation of reality so that on November 2, the idiot masses think Obama is actually responsible for their 401K accounts coming back to life?
MF4
Obama is dangerous in many, many ways. God forbid he wins another term
Big, yes the alternative to Romney is unthinkable. It is amazing how entrenched the "hip" people are to think Romney is a cold-hearted capitalist, and the GOP is preventing Obama and the libs from bringing hope and change. And, if they didn't, everything would be fixed.
They really are brain-washed idealists that think success should fall into their laps without any effort or sacrifice. After four years, they are as clueless as ever.
I do wish the personal choice issues weren't what defines the parties. In the end, this is a free country, where your choice of who to marry and what drugs you take for fun, should just be a given, and not political issues. Part of the divide and conquer strategy, no doubt.
MF4
College graduates should not have to live out their 20’s in their childhood bedrooms, staring up at the fading Obama posters and wondering when they can move out and get on with their life.
GFP,
I like doing business with local sources. But, there is one major thing that can be done to break the stranglehold of the two-party system illusion. It's simple and direct.
If we could change the way votes are cast and counted, we would eliminate the two-party system. here's how:
If you could vote AGAINST a candidate, or FOR a candidate, then take the NET FOR count to find your winner. This way, third party candidates would have a legitimate shot, because voters wouldn't feel the HAD to vote for the lesser of two evils.
For example, if Gary Johnson was a legitimate third party candidate, I would either vote FOR Johnson, or AGAINST Obama.
Instead, I am forced to vote FOR Romney, to keep Obama out, even though I like Johnson the most.
If the third parties concentrated their efforts on going to this voting method, they would finally get somewhere. until they do, a vote for a third party is throwaway vote that will do nothing to change anything one iota.
MF4
Also, think how much booze money they could save if they switched to pot? They could grow their own. Then the broads and poker money would last longer.
Of course, they would probably have to double their food budget..... nevermind.
MF4
The only way a third party has a chance is IF the voting laws are FIRST changed to allowed your vote to be cast FOR or AGAINST a candidate. You take the net vote total for the winner.
That way, you don't split votes on similar candidates and let the worst one win by default, like it works under the current system.
MF4
I bought 1,000 shares at .075 < the kiss of death.
MF4
This is the first time this century, that I have been excited about a ticket from either party.
I was lukewarm on Romney, but I was going to vote for him, because I think his alternative is far worse. But Ryan is a true man of substance and gravitas, as you said. That's what I want in a "leader"
I just hope the establishment doesn't take him out.
MF4
GFP,
If Romney fires The Bernanke, and we can earn 5% on CDs again, the saver sector will spend money again and get the economy going.
With zero interest rates, only deadbeats benefit anymore. And they have no excess to spend. The Bernanke is responsible for the continuing malaise.
Stimulus that actually isn't. The best of double-think in our Orwellian utopia.
MF4
Big,
Problem with this scenario is the market will rally if Romney wins, and selecting Ryan as VP makes that a likely result, IMHO.
New all-time highs this year if they win!
MF4
So, we know he's smart and acts pre-emptively to preserve his wealth. That's the kind of guy we need in charge of the country's finances too.
Look at Obama and his first lady. Countless millions wasted on clothes, travel, and campaigning, using air force one.
All of the high-level politicians live the high life on our dime, c'est la vie. I want a responsible, intelligent, adult in charge this time. Not the incompetent, unsucessful children we've had for the last 19 years.
MF4
Was he ever working for us?
MF4
Potential investors in 2015 will have given up on equities altogether and will be content with the much higher interest rates on bonds and time deposits that will be available then.
Hey Big,
OK. The market goes up no matter what now. All danger is off the table. fear has been replaced by greed. As far as I'm concerned, there are no bargains left. So, I'm SOH now as the market grinds higher.
Do you think the puppet masters will cointinue to push the SPY to new all-time highs before the election? Or will there be a big pullback and why? My scenario was for a big selloff into the elections followed by a huge rally on a Romney win. Looks like I'm wrong on both sides of that one.
What say you?
MF4
So, what does this mean? The company has ceased operations? The problem with solar is the panels were too expensive.
So, I guess I can add Nevergreen to my list of losers in a lifetime of investing that includes:
FirstPlus (-$10K)
Cortex Pharma (-$15K)
Evergroan (-$12K)
Maybe all high fliers eventually go to zero? candidates:
Chipotle
Intuitive Surgical
I think that genious POS is working on an insanity plea. He is not that. He is guilty and deserves a public stoning and to have his name forever erased from the history books.
MF4
GFP,
What I found interesting is that both Bushes declined to attend this year's republican convention. Those guys are Illuminati. makes me wonder if they have something planned for the convention, or that time-frame? Maybe they want to be safely under-ground for that timeframe?
MF4
Thank God some people are awake! This was right on!
MF4
(There is a common denominator to both but I'll leave you to figure it out lest I be called a racist.)
And the inintended consequences of QE continue to show up. So, in an effort to boost housing, the FEDs cheap money is NOT boosting housing, but destroying ALL private wealth as savers and retiree money stagnates, while everything is going broke because they can't earn a reasonable return on investment. Life Insurance companies will start defaulting soon.
And next year, if Ovomit can raise the dividend tax rate to 45%, even dividends will go away. So, with no investment income happening, no purchases happening, savers depleting their savings to live, what will the result be 2-5 years from now, since the Bernanke refuses to allow rates to rise?
The result is we are a third world nation. This must be being done deliberately to force us into trading our soveriegnty for solvency? In my mind, this is treason.
MF4
Probably a tell, but I have been uber-bullish on JPM's upcoming earnings. Basic thesis: Market has over-sold this best of breed stock. Looking for a surprise that the whale trade was less damaging than market has priced. Playing for a ten percent pop at the open.
If this happens, the market reverses this recent downtrend and a monster rally ensues. I am loaded up with weekly call options.
This almost guarantees that the earnings will be a huge disappointment and a new bear leg ensues. We'll find out in a few hours, but today's stock behavior was weak at best, which deoesn't portend a good result Friday.
oh well, it's only money, as CORX taught me so well.
MF4
How convenient. Do they have a ticker symbol?
MF4
globalists, banking cartel, NWO, Bilderburgs, Corporations, Skull and Bones, Illuminati.... Is there no end to the power-junkies?
One thing I leanrned in life: The Golden Rule, karma...... always asserted itself in my life eventually. Despite my selfish desires and/or plans, something would go wrong, I would pay a price. In the end, the universe (God, karma, randomness) taught me to be a good person. In loose terms, mostly Christian ideals, proved to be the only path to follow, for balance.
It amazes me how the above named groups apparently fly above the karmic laws that I thought ruled the universe. But, if they ultimately won't be able to, they've got one hell of a bill to pay. I hope I'm alive to witness their comeuppance.
MF4
I do think enough people are waking up to vote Ovomit out of office in Novemeber. And though ORommel is clearly another globalist candidate, nothing could be worse than 4 more years of Ovomit. So, I will vote for the lesser evil.
However, I think the globalists will doctor the results, and Ovomit may "win" anyway. Of course they have infiltrated the election system. They leave nothing to chance, own all the media. This really in 1984 all over again.
I only speak so extremely because I still can. I expect they will take away the internet freedom of speech about the time Ovomit comes for our guns. Which, will be next, if the commie gets re-elected.
REVOLT NOW!
MF4
I feel the market will muddle around until the election, where it may sit poised at 1300 SPY, awaiting results.
As soon as the election results are announced, we will either get a 2,000 DOW selloff (Ovomit), or a 1,500 DOW rally (Orommel), in one week.
If Ovomit is re-elected, you can kiss the American way of life goodbye. He will allow the ruskies to nuke us without firing back. The 3X dividend tax and real estate tax will crater the last vestige of investor income allowed in the current zero interest rate environment. All private wealth will continue to be destroyed ushering in the communist way of life, and NWO.
If you think Ovomit is good for this country, you are truly blind, ignorant, stupid, or hate capitalism.
MF4
GFP,
You mean there are good guys out there that are organized too? That's great news. Personally, I'm resigned to just praying that God will get in the way of the nefarious ones. It would be good to see them dealt with finally.
MF4
Bigworld, That's brilliant! I support it wholeheartedly. I think they used to only allow "landed" people to vote. If you didn't own land, you didn't own a right to vote. I like that one too.
MF4
I hate the democraps, and the lazy pukes that whine about "fairness" while they sit on their stupid asses and expect handouts and think redistribution of wealth is fair.
I do truly hate Obama, the socialist. I guess that makes me a racist. I also hate stupid people that draw flawed conclusions because of their ignorance.
MF4
GFP,
I think options are a much safer way to trade the market. Your losses are limited, but, you can profit from a well-timed move that is telegraphed with your excellent read of the charts. You should change your paradigm. Start watching options action on CNBC on Fridays. You will learn a good amount there.
I actually own a biotech that's gone up from $1 to over $3 in the last month. Only a few hundred shares of course. It's NSPH. They got something actually approved by the corrupt FDA. WOW!
MF4
What has the government ever done effectively? Nothing.
My take: We, the people, march on DC in September, and hold all 545 powerful humans in detainment camps. Then we dismantle all of the federal government.
Eliminate homeland security, and make the govenments sole responsibility defending the borders. Let the oil companies hire mercenaries to protect their overseas interests.
Give the rest of the power back to the states.
Change the election code so that each voter could cast a vote FOR or AGAINST a candidate. That alone would neuter the two-party system, because then an independent candidate wouldn't automatically take a vote "away" from the lesser of two evils, like we're stuck with under the present scam.
I say it's time for a revolution right now! Who's with me?
MF4
GFP,
Do you follow PTN at all? They seem to have a lot of promise. Maybe they're just another Cortex though?
MF4
That's quite a drop you expect in the USD. Another beaten down oil play is Forest Oil FST. They've been halved in the last two months, and look to be holding support around $7.
I think it's setting up for a run back over $10 as soon as oil firms.
MF4
Holy smokes GFP,
Please send this message back in time to the Cortex message board circa 2001, and say "ATTENTION MF4".
Thank you,
MF4
I am firmly convinced that the puppet masters want to destroy all of the private wealth in this country. Why? Because the Bernanke's no interest rate policy is stealing all of the wealth from the only people that still have some, the Savers!
Just as too high an interest rate chokes off economic activity, too lows rates do the same. The system only works at equilibrium. The economy will continue to sputter as long as Bernanke is in charge. Because the savers aren't spending anymore. They are cutting back, and hoping their savings last through their retirement.
The American Dream was work hard, save and invest your excess, live off of the interest. Those that did really well in this case, spent their interest. That money trickled down. Money exchanged hands. Those people did the same. Velocity of money was the engine for growth. The FED policy has broken this cycle. The only one that can work now, is the wrong one: more government spending, which is another way of saying "wealth redistribution". And that well will run dry. Then what?
There is a balance to be found, somewhere around 6% APR. But, since the Bernanke has declared his war on the responsible through 2015, I can only conclude that destrying our wealth is intentional. It's too bad, intelligence has no voice in the U.S. anymore!
MF4
Big,
You mentioned holding PBR. I've had that POS since double the current price. It looks broken to me. Why do you like it?
TIA,
MF4
The health care ruling was needed to solidify the plan. You can no longer be a nominal human being in this country. Now, you have to pay money to exist here, or you go to debtor's camp (FEMA).
This may not seem like a big deal to most here that have a job, income, or healthcare. But, if you want to just cruise for a while in life, you'd better have some backing.
This will usher in a new era, where the government will be free to slowly raise and create new tax upon tax to forever bloat itself. It's a terrible precedent.
I hope all the liberals that made this possible live long enough to recieve their karma from it.
MF4
