Please explain why it will not affect the Sorrento test, I think this means COVI-STIX, right? Also, per COVI-TRACE assuming that that is still submitted to the FDA for approval, I hope it is. And any others. I don't think it would be hard for Sorrento to meet this new requirement with a little effort, but I guess it would have to be a new product submitted for new approval unless it could split off from an existing submission (COVI-STIX?), I imagine that is possible, I don't know.
Is that PCT or PCR? The two keys are next to each other.

That's nice, so there is the potential of good things to come -- an "actual promise"of ...things to come. Whoop-dee-doo. That means potential. Or if you will, actual potential, i.e., potential, not just imagined potential, but actual potential. Neat.
The US does not seem to need them, or think it needs them, it already has a dozen or more diagnostic kits from other companies that have been allowed to advance to the front of the line fairly or unfairly. These other places, yes, assuredly.
Cowabunga
When this potential becomes actual, I will be very happy.
No denials is not great news, it’s just good news. “rumors and approvals” is a funny combination of things, yes you are right the price will not go up on rumors, but approvals will have weight, crap that we wait and wait for them, one suspects the FDA is biased or/and our lobbyists are duds. “Even if...” you may have a point there. Yes, earnings. You are really right there. Do we get an end of 2nd qtr report soon, like in a month or so?
Then why list it? Maybe it can be modified to change or improve its action and get a new patent. Yes, anyone can do that, you don't need to have rights to the patent to change the product or process, you need rights to the patent to market it as such. In fact, Sorrento could have done that earlier on if they had wanted to. But all of this is idle talk, really secondary, but I trot it out to dot this i.
Thank you
Moderna, I wish I had bought more. I lived in San Diego for 10 years, then returned to my home state of Florida to complete my graduate work at my original alma mater, UCSD was just too hard ass. Living there, it mattered to me where the San Andreas Fault ran. It ran along the eastern edge of the Laguna mountain chain just before the drop off to the desert below and to the east (Anza-Borrego Desert), so about 50 miles east of San Diego actually, and with it, Del Mar and Sorrento Valley. And to the north it runs THROUGH Los Angeles, for which reason they are permanently in Deep Danger. Remember the earthquake that hit the San Fernando Valley (Los Angeles) January 1994, 6.7 reading with many deaths? Point is, until the Big One hits, with just these medium bad ones happening about every 15-20 years, Los Angeles is on shaky ground (pun?) while San Diego probably won’t get really whacked until a Really Big One hits.
My interest in the philosophy of science began at the age of 18, noticing a book in the library by Gerald Holton, a popularization of science, from there a year later, in my sophomore year: Physics and Philosophy by Werner Heisenberg and then I took the Phi. Sci. course offered by the phil. dept. at UF beginning of my junior year taught by a strange professor Marilyn Zweig (woman with mobile pendant earrings and modernistic designed blouses and skirts like modern art who puffed on her cigarette intermittently as she spoke; I looked her up on the internet a few years ago, wouldn’t you know it, she went into the feminism thing). I was innocent of Thomas Kuhn’s Revolutions in Science until 2nd yr of graduate school, whatever, good book, btw, good idea, anyway, finally got my PhD in physics and kept up my interest in it on my own. In actual fact, it began when I was 13, our neighbor gave me that book Ideas and Opinions, by Albert Einstein, a collection of essays, remininiscences, and lectures, and that lit a fire under me; whatever, my forte transitioned from organic chemistry (cool subject, very cool subject) to math, and because of that, a leaning toward physics. We all have our own life pathways.
Not so, let's get this straight, so we are not just yakking it up. Subjectivity is in the mind of the beholder, negativity also. Objectivity is NOT, it is a result of careful thinking. I wrote "Objectivity is perceived as . . . " in the mind of a person of..." In other words, this is a subjective take on objectivity. That does not diminish or invade objectivity as such since it is inviolate and impregnable to our musings. The perception of objectivity by this or that person neither diminishes nor augments objectivity per se or as such. Perceptions are subjective, or can be, usually are. The thing perceived stands unperturbed, unmoved, unmodified and unchanged by this act of perceiving outside of quantum physics, i.e., from the point of view of macroscopic physics. There are philosophical positions that differ with this position, the usual stance of realism in science, yes in the philosophy of perception and the philosophy of mind in the social sciences things are different, and this bears on marketing and advertising and all that, but all of this is far afield from investing. So maybe we should leave it at that and try to figure out what Sorrento is going to do next.
How nice. Potential and potential and potential (“great company”, “Great future” – sales pitch). Has been starting out for months and over a year now, depending on where you count from. Fair enough, kind of, if you have such a financial horizon. I have, but not everyone has. Objectivity is perceived as negativity by persons of a certain mind stamp.
Funding. So is any or part or some of these semi-liquid assets being cashed in and converted into usable CASH with which to fund ongoing clinical trials? Per the PSS lawsuit, as we seem to have found out today, it appears that will be settled sometime in 2022, you know how these legal processes keep on getting pushed back and pushed back and pushed back. It's just the way things work. So the PSS thing is potential, not actual, it doesn't fund ANYTHING in the present tense. It's not a thing. It's a chimera. Did that party give us Cynviloq back or not? If that party did give Cynviloq back, is it being further researched now and being developed into Something?
In that regard, are any, some, or more than a few of the clinical trials being slow walked because of only meager funding available at the present time?
Correction: Kadcyla is indicated for HER2 positive metastatic breast cancer, OK fine, but it was begun to be used on one patient, then curtailed, with HER2 equivocal metastatic (stage 4), so nothing can be concluded from that. I.e., from that alone.
In response to both dia76ca and Vegasandre, really good because triple negative breast cancer is a seriously unmet need, especially in the case of IBC. That Sorrento is working in collaboration with another company on herceptin delivery is also a good thing, presumably this would compete with the Israeli drug Kadcyla, I am anxious to hear more about that. Per the internet, Kadcyla works for HER2 positive. It was prescribed for one patient with metastatic (stage 4) HER2 equivocal, but that event was curtailed. Sooooooo. For one thing, the internet states that Kadcyla is most strongly indicated for early stage, but it seems it has been considered and attempted for metastatic as stated above, so not sure what success it has had in other patients. If Sorrento with collaborator can provide effective herceptin delivery for metastatic (not early stage) in the case of HER2 equivocal, not just HER2 positive cases, that will meet a seriously unmet need.

It seems there are a swarm of companies making tests. How did they get approved?
That sounds like a good idea.
That is if everything goes right. That eoy figure correlates to about 100 or more employees. So with 500 to 600 employees currently, they are low on their annual revenue. To meet your figure, they need to up their eoy number by a factor of 5 to 6.
I really like the doggie
Between 12 and 2, the shorts were on the move. Seems to be a daily occurrence with this great shortable stock. I hope it gets corrected before eod, but hope is not a strategy. Dang, MRNA just keeps on soaring. Insane. They do not seem to be getting shorted. Maybe that's because the shorts know it's not smart to stick a screwdriver into an electric outlet.
http://shortvolumes.com/?t=SRNE
Short volume July 14 for SRNE = 54%, not the same as short interest.
2.060M short volume vs 1.756M long volume
Per https://via.news/markets/sorrento-therapeutics-stock-went-down-by-over-21-in-the-last-14-days/
SRNE is below its 50-day moving average $8.78
and below its 200-day moving average $9.17 (those four spikes contribute)
Given its one-year track record, it takes three months for it to recover between spikes, so waiting until mid-October. I don't expect the PSS settlement to have any effect. Good or semi-good news has no effect on this stock.
The rise on one of those spikes was externally generated (Jan-Feb 2021, Reddit short squeeze club, juiced by AMC / GameStop short squeeze; the other three seemed to rise on internal factors, the first two were brought down by Putin / Trump and Dr. Ji's mouth himself, this last one purely by the shorts.
Message in reddit says it was big short today. "congrats hedgy...another 30% short today" Well, yeah, and SRNE remains so shortable, like its ass is just hanging in the window with a bull's-eye target painted on it. The baggage that comes along with this stock. And does the BOD have a clue as to what to do about it? I wonder what they have a clue about besides acquisitions. That may be a cool thing in the long term (ANP)... ToxicAvenger 15m ago on Stocktwits states 21% of today's volume traded short. It would be nice to see this nonsense come to an end, but that does not look likely soon.
Not negative. Matter of fact. The smartest thing I ever did was getting into MRNA in August 2020 and having the PATIENCE to wait THREE MONTHS for it to take off. I had no idea when it was going to blossom. Maybe it knew, I didn't. It then experienced a low-frequency roller-coaster uptrend to where it is now. I sold more than half of my gain a couple of weeks ago and, undisciplined investor that I am, bought 1000 more shares of SRNE plus a little slosh. I like round numbers. Like others, I got in after Dr. Ji's pronouncement in May 2020 that Sorrento "had the cure". It's been chop and spikes between 6 and 10-12 for the most part since then. Smacked by Putin then Trump in August, then smacked by Ji himself his mouth in October and then spiked by Reddit Wall Street Bets short business in Jan-Feb and since then the recent smack down by the shorts and HF's thank you very much A-holes, with the sp of this stock not having the support to resist. Sorry bout dat, eh? Enthusiasm doesn't seem to be there. So waiting with SRNE is clearly going into Years. Am I missing something? If wishes were horsemen, then beggars would be kings.
soon? 2-3 years? 2-5 years?
NVAX had a similar drop today. MRNA had about half such a drop today. But SRNE now has had two such huge drops in two successive days: yesterday and today.
My patience with SRNE is growing thin. If it doesn’t show some life by the end of this month, I am going back to disciplined investing and dropping my investment in SRNE down to 20% of its present amount. The part turned back into CASH will be invested in my usual type of equities: safe high-dividend stocks, and maybe some dividend growth stocks, and promising share price growth stocks (best of all, a combination of both features) but for now I need to grow my accounts, not buy promises. A definitive Excel study and estimate of what I can again expect from that will now happen. That is how I used to operate. I will go back to it.
This continued nonsense with waiting YEARS for SRNE to blossom has gone on for too long. The usual excuses: Shorts ruining things. The FDA is corrupt. Translation: our lobbyists are duds. SRNE BOD not caring about investors. I am sick of it.
The devastation of my accounts in Feb-Mar 2020 due to the Chinese virus disrupted my usual thinking, so I turned to SRNE after Dr. Ji’s May 2020 announcement as my harbor in a storm. It has proved to be a bum steer. It’s time to lick my wounds and go back to my previous game plan.
Did you see that?

It's about time for Congress and the Senate to start questioning the FDA about holding down smaller biotechs like SRNE and protecting market share for Big Pharma in an open and free economy that's supposed to have a level playing field. Although big pharma moved quickly to create vaccines and test kits (for a profilt!) in project warp speed, that shouldn't negativelly affect the scientific advancements of other smaller biotechs. SRNE has proven to have superior test products and we have nothing but radio silence from the FDA on the product. Even Mexico has approved it! The DoD is on board. The Mayo Clinic is on board. When are we going to hear someone from Washington DC ask about SRNE? California, this is your state! Where are your representatives? Why aren't they beating down the doors of the FDA to get fair treatment for this (eventual) multi-billion dollar company? Reply: Lucifercrv: The biggest problem with your idea is that many Congressmen are already on Big Pharma's payroll so they won't do squat to inhibit BP. The system is completely broken and the foxes are now guarding the henhouse.
These morning flame-outs bug the sh*! out of me. People say it is the shorts manipulating the share price. I guess, I don't know. Someone on this board linked to http://shortvolumes.com/?t=SRNE . Helpful. I will study it.
