I don't think this new news will move the price at all. Doesn't tell us if anyone is actually purchasing SafeWindow, or if any revenues are resulting. To the guys who work with the product and deal with sales channels, perhaps this release is very meaningful....but if an actual market is developing and generating sales is anyone's guess. Guess maybe the intent is just to clarify who is selling and supporting the product.
I think you're absolutely right that in the absence of some meaningful news, we won't be moving much. I'm not happy about the current value of the shares I bought at 1.85. Got some at .25 too. However I believe that patience will reward the longs....and I'm just grinning and bearing it right now. All this trade war talk has hurt lots of stocks and created a lot of bagholders. I'm keeping an open mind that some good may come out of all the hardball with China, but for now it's been a little tough to see the value of my retirement portfolio diminish.
I also hold another streaming royalty play......Cannabis Wheaton (CBWTF)....that has taken a hit due to Trump administration policies, aka Jeff Sessions. Would that I had been smart enough to take profits when I was up 300% a couple of months ago. I am a professional bagholder . But like KCPC, I have faith that it will reward me in spades.
Even if you're only a trader trying to score a fast buck, and don't really give a hoot about the company or what they're trying to accomplish, have you considered that it might benefit your cause to be a little more respectful of this "pos" that you feel free to insult when you're upset about the current share price?
I was talking to an electrical contractor friend the other day, who overheard some of his electricians grumbling about "What the hell does HE do? Just stands around and tells us what to do." One of those electricians was his son. So the contractor spent a couple of weeks working in the trenches with the guys and pulling wire, etc. They started to get slower, and next thing you know the guys were only getting about 20 hours a week and watching their paychecks shrink.
He then invited his son to drive around with him while he schmoozed and sold and closed deals. Before you know it, they were fully employed again, and even getting some overtime....and the son had a new respect for the value of what his father was doing.
Chris Nichols is out there closing deals and creating further opportunities to enrich investors in Key Capital. In the short term, polluting the board with negativity about a company you clearly don't care about hurts you and everyone else. This isn't just a trade. It's a company with people working really hard to make it succeed. Justbecause openly admits he is a trader, but he also is knowledgable and respectful about the company.
I don't mean to pick on you. Donald Trump has just worn me out about tolerance for people who feel free to denigrate others who don't fit into their plans. Each one of us has a responsibility to set an example of respectful behavior.
With the bid/ask sitting at .6004 and the ask at .6999....would one of you "traders" (as opposed to investors) please explain to me the point of putting in bids and asks out to 4 decimal places??
I mean if the stock was trading under a penny, it makes more sense. But why when the stock is up this high? And I use the term "high" loosely.
Just an FYI for anyone who has not bothered to investigate further, DarcyJ is the CEO of CryptoSecure, Darcy Johnston. I verified this before posting, because as we all know people can take on any handle and pretend to be someone they ain't. I was one of those who forwarded ski007's comments to the company for review because as justbecause suggested, the man (or woman) clearly had an agenda.
If I go to the Cryptosecure website, it sure looks to me like they still own SafeWindow. And SafeWindow is still prominently advertised on the Bankvault website. Where do you get your info that Bankvault owns it now? Possible that Graeme Speak has just moved on to other endeavors. From the Bankvault website: "Graeme is an active mentor and participant in a number of start-up communities." Perhaps his mission at Cryptosecure had served it's purpose.
John McAfee is charging $105,000 for tweets promoting ICOs
https://www.cnet.com/news/john-mcafee-is-charging-105000-for-tweets-promoting-icos/
The former antivirus software pioneer and self-proclaimed "crypto visionary" sells tweets promoting initial coin offerings.
An amusing John McAfee anecdote from the world of cryptocurrencies. From a short article by Josiah Wilmoth, one of my favorite cryptocurrency journalists.
https://www.ccn.com/john-mcafees-1-million-bitcoin-price-bet-just-hit-a-major-technical-hurdle/
Those consequences — pardon the pun — may be more than McAfee can stomach.
As CCN reported, McAfee first put his, err, skin in the game in July 2017, when he predicted that the Bitcoin price would reach $500,000 within three years from its then-level of $1,800.
“If not, I will eat my d–k on national television,” he proclaimed."
I am kind of curious. I didn't think OTC stocks traded pre- and post-market, yet when I logged into my Ameritrade account this morning, it shows yesterdays close at $2.59 and last trade at $2.70....with the change since close up $.1101.
I just Googled it, and top hit was an old iHub post:
"An OTC stock can trade after hours because this is a non-exchange traded stock so guess what. There are no hours. The hours are set by the exchanges and by the SEC. The brokerage may prohibit OTC trades after hours."
https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=37679665
Good mornin' justbecause. Thanks again for all the good intel you post on this board. I've been following KCPC for a couple of years now, with a friend who is into it in a big way telling me it was gonna take off big time over and over. Glad his and everybody else's optimism is finally being rewarded. Looking forward to a wild ride today.....
One thing that nobody has mentioned is that cryptocurrencies in general took a big hit today after the news that Google was not permitting any more advertising of crypto. Usually when cryptocurrencies fall, other related stocks and funds get caught in the vortex and go down as well. The fact that we had such a good day when there was so much red ink in the crypto world is especially significant.
Crypto should rebound as it always does until the next major announcement from China or South Korea or the SEC triggers another sell-off. I think having a madman in the White House is triggering a lot of fear and uncertainty amongst the investing community in general right now.
I'm still holding my $.25 shares and a smaller quantity bought at $1.95. I convinced my wife to buy some for her Roth IRA at a 1.23 some weeks back. After a day or two of rapid profit it ended up tanking as we all know. She was busting my chops about needing her money this morning, and I told her that I really felt it was poised for a breakout, partly based on all the nice L2 information you guys provided here. She was talking about having me put in a limit order at 1.23. I'm grateful that we were on the way to take her car to a transmission shop when the McAfee news hit. She still wanted me to sell, but it ended up being a limit order at $2.30 instead. I told her she'll probably regret selling that cheap, but at least now we have cash in hand to pay for whatever the transmission guy tells us we need. ??
Hey lukin4.... back many decades ago when I was playing t-ball, there was a kid on the team who always kept a positive outlook no matter how the team was doing. Coach gave him the "team spark plug award." I nominate you official board spark plug. ??
If it's already posted, please forgive me. Where is the website with the link showing McAfee as an associate?
I think there are a lot of day traders jumping ship who were hoping to make a fast buck on anything ICO related. There is a bit of a selloff going on in the cryptocurrency markets right now, and MY observation (don't take this as gospel) is that the equities that deal in crypto-related "stuff" often move right along with the cryptocurrencies.
This is the site I currently use to monitor cryptocurrencies:
https://www.worldcoinindex.com/ Note all the red ink. I won't be surprised to see Bitcoin back over $11,000 at some point today. Of course by the time all the articles hit proclaiming it's rise...it'll be back down again, lol. Here's a very funny "Bitcoin commercial" from the Seth Myers show:
Look at all the major financial decisions being made based on recommendations from Donald Trump. CLEARLY the morality of influencers carries far less weight than it did in previous generations.
Just noticed SafeWindow prices on BankVault website are in Australian dollars. So using Google's quick currency conversion:
$19.99 per month AUS = $15.48 per month US
$199.00 per year AUS = $154.40 per year US
Looks more attractive already! If someone already posted that, please excuse me. Have not had the heart to go through every single post over the last several days.
Watching that YouTube video about SafeWindow, as they go through the demo....when you're done browsing/transacting....."Once you've finished, the temporary endpoint disappears. You can't hack what doesn't exist."
Reminds me a little of what made Snapchat so hugely popular when it first came out. Your texts disappeared 10 seconds after the recipient viewed them...as if they never existed.
Don't know that there is any merit or useful ideas to be inferred from that comparison. Just thought I'd throw it against the wall and see if it sticks. One thought....would Snapchat be a good app for SafeWindow to pay for one of those annoying pop-up ads? Got an impulsive audience that really values confidential online experiences.........
Okay. Catching up on old posts just takes too much time. I see other board members already addressed ferda's latest mis-information. Fake news? lol. Not gonna waste any board time fencing with folks over silly stuff. Follwing lukin4's suggestion to stay positive, and following the advice of someone else....Shazbat maybe?....who suggested that if someone annoys you to put them on ignore. Good luck with your investments ferda. I wish you all the best......
Ferda. John McAfee ain't broke. True he used to be worth an estimated $100 million.....but his current net worth is still estimated between$4 and $5 million. If that's broke, sign me up....
I saw ferda once again posted that the float is now 1,837,157 shares, but no link provided. And PENNIEStoStacks posted the same number. I clicked on the link in his/her post to otcmarkets.com, and am still only seeing a 757,000 share float.
CAN ANYONE PROVIDE A LINK THAT ACTUALLY SHOWS THE CURRENT FLOAT AS ANYTHING OTHER THAN 757,000 SHARES????
Don't mean to harp on that in light of the wonderful news of John McAfee's endorsement......but it's an important number, and I have yet to see confirmation of that larger float anywhere other than this board.
While the ICO is interesting, what I believe is really meaningful to KCPC's bottom line is their royalty from the revenue from the SafeWindow product at the BankVault website. https://www.bankvaultonline.com/customer/signup/safewindow
Remains to be seen how users embrace it, but what I see is ongoing and increasing subscription revenue as the user base grows.
Artful misdirection. I looked earlier, and have not yet found anything to suggest an actual float increase. So if I understand correctly, you're assuming insider sales based on a claim made my ferda? Again...please provide your own DD demonstrating insider sales. I will look forward to your next attempt to fog the question.
koen2....where are you getting information about insider sales? Somehow methinks you are on the short side of this stock. Have a little integrity, and don't post "facts" without any basis. If you can provide evidence of what you've said, I'll will apologize promptly.
My personal opinion is that THIS is having a dampening effect for the moment on the entire market: "Dow plummets more than 500 points after Trump announces tariffs"
I honestly don't have a clue about revenue projections. I was reading their January 29th PR:
https://www.econotimes.com/CryptoSecure-Launches-Beta-Release-for-Cryptocurrency-Security-Platform-1121436
"CryptoSecure has today opened up registration for up to 2,000 free Beta licenses to road test the CryptoSecure ‘SafeWindow’ security application while work continues to further improve security and user experience. Following the Beta version release, the CryptoSecure ‘SafeWindow’ app will be made available initially to a limited 10,000 users at an attractive launch discount."
I'm sure they have their own projections about what they think the market is.....but for now it would clearly be premature to share that. Better to make sure everything is working well. Slow cautious approach.
I'm really interested in this: "CryptoSecure further advises that it plans to launch a flat fee CryptoSecure enabled decentralized cryptocurrency exchange later in the year." Right now standard wisdom is to NOT leave your coins on an exchange....put them in a private wallet of some sort. I'm wondering if their exchange will be a safe place to store cryptocurrency.
As I was catching up on posts last night, tamfam's post made me realize how many people get caught up in the mainstream media's witch hunt for companies with tenuous claims to blockcchain legitimacy.
Key Capital's core business started out as a gold and silver streaming company. From their website: "Key Capital Mining & Energy is focused on building a Mineral Bank of diverse commodities that will provide accretive streaming interests in diverse commodities. Through the provision of structured financing of mining projects, Key Capital retains life-of-mine interests in the production of mines containing gold, silver, or industrial metals." Providing gold to back up the Goldcrypto ICO fits right in with what they do best. I suspect many have not bothered to click on the PR link right at the top of this message board.
http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/KCPC/news/GoldCrypto-io-Launches-Unique-Digital-Gold-Standard-Cryptocurrency?id=176354&b=y
And anyone who has bothered to read the bios of the individuals involved with Cryptosecure will understand that their involvement with online digital security pre-dates all this blockchain madness. Of course they're going to look for opportunities in this burgeoning market. And the cryptosecure opportunity fits right in with KCPC's business model of developing ongoing revenue streams. To repeat MOTSUR's previous post:
"ROYALTY:The Parties hereto agree that CryptoSecure, through its appointed Service Operator, will be required to pay Key Capital a Licensing Fee of 10% of all revenue from all sources of CryptoSecure revenue commencing with the Effective Date and continuing for a minimum period of twenty (20) years thereafter."
The streaming business model is a proven one for those unfamiliar with it. A couple of companies that come to mind:
Cannabis Wheaton (CBWTF)....a rising star in the cannabis streaming space
Silver Wheaton (WPM)....largest silver streaming company out there
I too appreciate your optimism. Like tamfam, I think your cheerleading might be just a bit much....although I fully agree to the upside potential with such a small float. Same clearly works for the downside. It is a little discouraging to see the momo players scrape the cream off the top repeatedly before moving on to their next play.
I own shares bought at $.25....and shares bought at $1.95. I was mentioning to the gentleman who convinced me to buy KCPC about the times you've referred to Key Capital as a well managed company, and wondering if there really is enough information out there to make a statement like that yet. Clearly the proof will be in the pudding, and I have high hopes of seeing positive revenue from Key Capital in the months ahead. For now....for me....it's more about a little blind faith. I've spoken with Chris Nichols one time....introduced to me by the same friend who got me involved....and was impressed by both his knowledge and caution. The one thing I believe 100% at this time is that he is fully committed to making this succeed.
Thanks. I do have a rarely used Etrade account with almost nothing in it. I'll log in and see what sort of information I've been missing out on.
Where are you seeing shares at $1.25. Ask is showing at $.94. Daily high showing at $.93?
Good article....."Who Will Profit from the Oil Spill?"
http://equedia.com/blog/view.php/Who-Will-Profit-from-the-Oil-Spill
Hey _bbb_.....I joined your German board after having to use the translator over at www.dictionary.com to figure out the German. I could not, however, figure out how to give you green starts.....
Thanks jk21.....Trying to start getting a better understanding about the finer points of charts and trends.
For a cleaner chart, I did a simple chart with only the 50 and 200 day moving averages. If I understand correctly, the golden cross is where the 50 crosses the 200. By this chart, today was the exact point where the two lines met: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t121/zforces/DPDWGoldenCross10-22-09.jpg
I had been led to believe that the golden cross was typically a bullish indicator. Here, however, is a slightly contrarian viewpoint: http://trendandvalue.blogspot.com/2009/05/golden-cross-as-contrary-indicator-look.html
I bought a good number of shares at .15 back in March....and a few more at .18 some time last year. But I hold a couple thousand shares bought at .70 and .84 in 2008, and have just held on to as they went down...down....deep down......
Another lurker checking in. Feeling a bit better about my decision to buy at .15 earlier in the year. Just bought and held.....in the firm belief that this company would definitely come back around big time. Reading about Eugene Butler's history with Weatherford gave me a warm fuzzy too. Hopefully he can perform the same kind of magic for DPDW......
"The only segment that witnessed growth in sales was underwater cables and connectors."
Much as I regret not taking advantage of swings in DPDW price to make some money, I'm just a buy and hold type, waiting patiently for DPDW to go higher as I expect it will.....eventually....
The above quote is from a short piece on Bolt Technology (BOLT), and the fact that their underwater equipment business is their one growth area in a down economy......is just one further bit of evidence to me that patience will indeed pay off for DPDW holders:
http://seekingalpha.com/article/161195-bolt-s-sales-don-t-wholly-rely-on-oil-price-movements?source=yahoo
Thanks for the reply Derbenski. I don't get a chance to sit down and review the board as often as I like. I think there was a great buying opportunity for NSMG today....and I think we'll be right back up from .15 to .19 or .20 before you know it......and depending how Dean behaves once he crosses the Yucatan into the Gulf......it could go a whole lot higher a whole lot quicker......Z.
My only thought is, why would Mr. Fife continue to lend money to the company unless he felt he would get paid back? It might not be unreasonable to expect NSMG to sell some shares off to liquidate this debt when there's a nice runup during the season. At that point....woud people start freaking out because of insider selling?....or would storm speculation frenzy keep the pps buoyed?
All just conjecture on my point. I tend to agree with the poster who suggested that perhaps Mr. Fife is filing the suit more as a precautionary measure to protect his legal rights, than as a hostile measure. I don't know that much about the law. If NSMG went belly-up at some point before the debt was settled.....do judgement holders get to pick over the remains before puny little stockholders???
A HURRICANE JOKE.....
Just got this one from my uncle who lives down in Florida:
Q: WHY WERE HURRICANES NORMALLY NAMED AFTER WOMEN?
A: Because when they come, they're wild and wet. But when they go, they take your house and car with them.
mauiguy2....I believe it will also close a lot higher soon. I have just learned not to get too excited about a higher close at the end of a day when it's a $23.00 trade. I was gonna say it won't fool anyone out there....but then there's one born every minute. In the end, it seems the stock market is merely a means by which those who are really paying attention take the money away from those who don't have a clue.
It was a nice close....but the last .23 trade was only 100 shares.....classic case of painting the tape at the end of the day......
