...and expects the final stage of testing prior to on-site
beta installation to begin in July."
So, I read this that the final stage of testing will begin in July before the on site beta installation. "testing" is the action word in that clause IMO.
Last update stated 3rd Quarter not July
•Bent Glass Installation: Initial tests conducted in our facility of the Waste Heat Engine under the rigors of over 600°F required minor debugging in the valve mechanisms of the engine, which we believe we have corrected. We will be conducting additional heat and durability tests over the next 30 days with a new installation date scheduled for Q3 2009.

That gives them to Sept 30th but I hope it is more like sometime late August.
More people putting their money on the line for the company. It is apparent that there are a few investors who think this is just a matter of time.
be curious to know what their ihub names were, anyone know?
Best Recommendation of the year!!!! eom
maybe dementia will eventually set in and we can all repeat how Gil is getting us back up an listed and we may all be surprisingly happy to hear it!
Verrrry interesting indeed!! lol eom
Agree with that. This board has become what Arnold says and 3 or 4 replies to Arnold. The guy has this BB hopping, I'll give him that. I've always thought it better to see the devil you know posting than the ones you don't. At least I know where Arnold stands but why read them anymore? I could write them myself they are so predictable. What is there to do but wait for the company to produce product (or have them produced with royalty payments assured)? Bent Glass is supposed to be up and running sometime in the 3rd quarter. I hope that if that (or other revenue producing project) doesn't occur that those of us who have been patient with the company will begin holding their feet to the fire. Maybe they need to get the picture that shareholders aren't just a bunch of people feeling warm and fuzzy about the possibilities until our money is gone.
CYPW - POMPANO BEACH, Fla., Jul 07, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Cyclone Power Technologies
Inc. (Pink Sheets:CYPW) announced today that it has completed the first stage of
its project with Robotic Technology Inc. (RTI), of Potomac, MD, to develop a
beta biomass engine system used to power RTI's Energetically Autonomous Tactical
Robot (EATR(TM)). This is a Phase II SBIR project sponsored by the Defense
Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Defense Sciences Office.
In this first stage Cyclone successfully coupled its proprietary steam generator
with a compact biomass furnace to be used with the prototype EATR, and produced
sufficient steam to power Cyclone's six-cylinder, 16HP Waste Heat Engine (WHE).
With the completion of this stage, RTI has paid Cyclone a total of $50,000 in
development fees. Cyclone will now proceed to attaching the WHE to this heat
source and commence system performance testing with the goal of delivering a
complete beta system to RTI in the next 90 days.
RTI's EATR is an autonomous robotic platform able to perform long-range,
long-endurance military missions without the need for manual or conventional
re-f ueling. The patent pending robotic system can find, ingest and extract
energy from biomass in the environment, as well as use conventional and
alternative fuels (such as gasoline, diesel, propane and solar) when suitable.
"We are excited and encouraged by Cyclone's progress," stated Dr. Robert
Finkelstein, President of RTI. "Cyclone's technology is ideal for our robotic
vehicle to perform a wide range of either military or civilian tasks. The
potential commercial applications are enormous for biomass-powered equipment and
vehicles."

It may be the beginning of the end if these things get hungry and acquire a taste for meat
I know someone else who says the same thing after these PRs as well ; )
That's a pretty bold statement putting all of your credibility on the line. Promise that if the WRE is installed at Bent Glass in the 3rd quarter of 2009 (by 9/30) that you will go away and leave this board alone. My guess is that you won't and when it is installed you will certainly find something negative about it and harp on that for the next year.
The thing is Arnold - they did run into a snag or two that provided them both the need and the opportunity to further perfect their device. Usually, that is the reason that things are improved in the first place and nothing that is first to market is perfect. So, I think you may be over-emphasizing their intent for perfection. They are fully aware that they will be making a much better machine 5 years from now after many opportunities and the profundity found in customer feedback is analyzed and acted on. As you may well point out, the last sentence shows optimism in the belief that they will be solidly in the market in 5 years. A bias of mine, I'm sure.
The cheapest way up front is to net meter. Just need a converter device acceptable to the power company (and a power company willing to allow net-metering - most of them are by now). I suspect they would chose this over batteries since the power output will not be a significant percentage of their overall industrial needs. Batteries require maintenance and eventually need replacing.
Your fly wheel example is a good one and maybe they can connect with a small company like ACPW (or even BCON if they could cater to a smaller flywheel assembly) to design something for their system.
What you would like to see is every source of energy\heat loss taken advantage of so that, eventually, ways of taking advantage of home heating (esp. wood boilers, etc.) with further combustion of the smoke (a nuisance and a health hazard in some areas) become common-place. I'm for it if there is a way. Could the cypw engine be designed as the secondary combustion chamber to these small and mid sized boilers? Good question to explore.
Will the power generation be net metered or is there some sort of storage? Maybe the circuit is isolated from the grid? Just trying to understand how the energy will be transformed and utilized. Can you or anyone shed some light on that? Thanks!
Kind of like introducing a moving air freshener (a nice orange citrus aroma) to the transportation corridor.
Well Vista, I figure there could be some after meeting discussions, business cards exchanged, and potential arrangements being made for a closer look by potential clients. Seems the company has been working with a government contractor (aka Raytheon) for quite a while now. I am not looking for anything from them (government or Raytheon) soon but they have gotten their foot in the door. Be nice if people did clap though ; )
Be nice to get some feedback on how that meeting went. Would appreciate anyone's post who may talk with the Company about it.
thanks and glta. been a good week for me in the market and just need my little cypw to come along and make it a slam dunk.
Piecemaker, I am assuming from your comment that things are proceding with Bent Glass? Any guess to when it will be up and running? tia
Isn't it amazing that over 2700 shareholders are invested here with that kind of chart! Looks like we aren't losing many. I do admit that you keep the issues to the forefront (actual working models, share count, etc.). At some point, I think there are enough irons in this fire (aka partners)to make it happen. No guarantees and we still have to deal with the transparency issues involved with any company listed on the pink sheets. I am also ready for the company to have a working product outside of the lab environment. It would make everything a lot more real here. They seem to be getting more concerned about their image which is very important in attracting new partners. Sometimes first impressions are the only impression you make if it lacks professionalism. I am happy about this new face the company is putting forth. Hope it helps. As a shareholder, I am sure you hope the same thing ; )
Here's some nice shiney pictures http://www.cyclonepower.com/gallery.html
It has been a while since I have bought any shares but just picked up 4 k as it seems the company is getting serious about its public image. The old website was amateurish and unappealing, it was a red flag to me. As red flags go away, I pick up a few shares, that simple. Now, let's see something working in the real world (Bent Glass would be just fine with me).
Nice, thanks Kat. eom

you sure are keeping everyone busy here! Looks like you found a thorn that is sticking. If converted shares are being sold, they are doing so in a controlled manner ... maybe holding the price down to .22-.23 until something gives? It is apparent that the holders are not selling at all costs and it is not apparent that they are selling at all. We will see the true nature of this stock once a revenue producing product is on the market. At some point, Harry and team are going to have to let their baby out of the crib and see if it can walk on its own. You can only shine a baby's butt for so long before it gets a rash. I believe buyers and potetial sellers are all waiting for this same thing.

I think people can see this as a problem but believe the risk is worth it if this engine gets some traction (solar thermal, WHE, etc.). There is no reason that management shouldn't be held accountable to shareholders concerning basic financial and share count information. It's just that those that feel this way aren't continually harping on it post after post like our friend. Basically, I am holding shares with some trust that the company will make partnerships and convince people smarter than me that they have something. Based on the people who are interested in the product so far helps remove some doubt concerning its marketability. At some point, I hope that some of those here who are closer to management could stir up the waters there and get them to come forth with their numbers. The absence of this information is a stumbling block for gaining new investors or for existing investors to put more money down. All IMO of course and glta
I mailed a letter to the Ca office to get some info. Should arrive there next Tues or so. Will let you know if I get a reply. rags
if ihub shuts down, yahoo has a board fyi
please take a video of that event Kat! If Bent Glass gets up and running successfully, that will be enough proof for me to consider adding more at these prices. I really do want to see something hit the ground running and an updated share count before buying more. Just my experiences with pink sheets keeping me cautious.
Based on the relatively flat SP, I would have to assume that shares are not flooding the market. Can't deny it has crossed my mind that someone is sitting on the upside of the current SP selling shares. Then again, someone is sitting on the lower side propping us up. It is about time for them to let us know what is up with Bent Glass. Anybody know anything about that?
Don't you believe in the Great Pumpkin too?
