Re: all hospitals in the rural areas are facing difficulties. Is this Seamus fault as well? . . .
No. The other rural hospitals' difficulties are NOT Seamus' fault. But then again, as far as I know, those other hospitals that aren't run by Seamus don't have a U.S. Senator bringing in the state attorney general and the SEC to investigate what's going on because they won't give straight answers.
Lenny -- I think the BK will be Chapter 7 - liquidation. That would work best for everybody (except shareholders, unfortunately).
I don't think any vendor or doctor will work with the Tennessee hospitals as long as they are run by Rennova - at least not while Seamus is running things.
I think the best thing for the affected communities would be liquidation and resale to a new, reputable owner at rock-bottom prices.
I'm not a lawyer, but I've been around the block a few times and know a lot about corporate bankruptcy.
I think you are way off.
If it was just a matter of CMS not paying its bills (like they forgot or ran out of money or something?) Marsha Blackburn wouldn't be bringing in the SEC and the Tennessee Attorney General into this.
Filter . . . and if it doesn't pull off a partnership? Then what?
George - I think you missed the point. It sounds like you think only two employees missed pay checks.
It's pretty clear that ALL Jellico employees have not had paychecks for the past two pay periods.
I don't know how long a pay period is at RNVA, but most companies pay their employees every two weeks. So that would mean FOUR weeks with no pay!
If I were working for a company that failed to pay me for two pay periods, I would seriously consider quitting.
Oh well, it's not like these poor working stiffs have bills to pay every month or anything.
Beats me.
Am I the only one here who didn't know that RNVA actually owns a factoring company (Platinum Financial Solutions) that provides specialized loans to physician practices—collateralized by their accounts receivable or through the acquisition of their qualifying accounts receivable at a discounted value.
I haven't seen it on their website before, but it's there now:
https://www.rennovahealth.com/brands/platinum-financial-solutions
How are they doing this, when they don't even have the funds to keep their hospitals operating?
Thoughts?
I don't think the "One in Charge" is hiding in Grandma's basement or under the bed.
I think he's hiding on a Caribbean island and living the life of Riley.
Ferd - Why would ANYBODY want to sabotage JRMC? Who would do that (especially employees)? That doesn't really make sense to me.
Perhaps you could explain to me why it would? My thirsty lips are always eager to drink from the fountain of knowledge.
You left out the problem of not being able to pay their vendors.
I didn't leave it out. I know that Seamus sued Windle. But it didn't show up on the link I found because I searched "Rennova."
Rennova isn't the plaintiff if in the Windle suit - Seamus is. So if you want to go to Justia.com and look up that suit, by all means do so. I would suggest that you type in "Seamus Lagan" in the search field.
I'll be interested to see what you find if you want to post it here. But Seamus' personal lawsuit has nothing to do with Rennova's business.
Here's the link to the 2019 lawsuit info:
https://dockets.justia.com/docket/tennessee/tnmdce/2:2019cv00048/79473
It doesn't give actual details of the complaint or subsequent filings (there are 10), although it does indicate that the complaint was about a labor issue.
The judge rendered a default verdict, which I assume means that Rennova just never bothered to show up. Hmmmm. I wonder why.
Thank you for your kind wishes, fnyack.
Abbas, I report the news because it reflects what I am hearing.
I haven't really been wrong yet, have I? Take it for what it's worth, and if you think it's worth nothing, I have no problem with that.
And your point is, 12year?
Yes. It is taking a long time. But the wheels are in motion now.
Thanks for your concern.
Thanks for asking, fnyack. I don't live anywhere near Tennessee.
But I do know people there who are in a position to know. Obviously, I can't reveal any information about them or any specific information/opinions that they may have shared with me.
Among my personal interests is the fact that I will be moving down there before years'end, and being an aging boomer, I am naturally a little concerned about living somewhere where there are no functionin hospitals.
I have ZERO shares, fnyack. But I have personal reasons to be following this as closely as I am.
Shareholders are free to disregard what I have to say. But I think they will regret it going forward.
I know things the shareholders don't know. But that's all I'm gonna say.
I admire your dedication in trying to be positive about this sinking ship, Ferd.
But these people are NOT working for the government (first error).
I admit there is a chance that RNVA will survive this. It would make me happy. But from what I know, both publicly and less publicly, RNVA is going down. The walls are closing in.
What I know is that nothing is going to happen in the next two weeks to make the RNVA hospital situation(s) any better.
If you know of something, by all means please enlighten me.
And what happens then?
Scott Co. hospital [Big South Fork] diverting EMS patients
https://www.wvlt.tv/content/news/Scott-Co-hospital-diverting-EMS-patients--567560651.html
"SCOTT COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- On Tuesday afternoon, the mayor of Scott County confirmed that Big South Fork was diverting EMS patients from the hospital.
"According to Mayor Jeff Tibbals, the EMS director said the hospital stopped accepting ambulances over the weekend and is only accepting walk-ins as of February 4. . ."

Former manager says hospital worked employees 24 hours, did not have basic supplies
Lab manager David Wilkerson said the Rennova hospital was also double-billing patients for some tests they could not complete in house

Have a good week-end everybody!!
pickey . . . Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner1
Backstabbed . . . I give you my word that I am neither a reporter, nor a current or former RNVA employee, nor am I a curreent or former RNVA shareholder.
I'm just so nosey, and I do have a personal interest in events in Fentress County. Obviously, this whole RNVA mess is a major topic of conversation down there.
lenny . . . I report, you decide. But that's what I'm hearing from people who are in the area and actually have what I think is valuable on-the-ground perspective.
I wouldn't call it proprietary information, which, if I had any, I would know better than to post it here.
Filterthenoise: Fentress County has talked about financing the buliding of a new structure - starting with an ER that has room for expansion, and then renting it out to a reputable management company to operate it.
I don't know whether that will work, or whether they're still exploring that possibility. But that's what they are/were looking at several months ago.
What I have also heard is that even if JRMC should re-open (not likely), Seamus has zero credibility in Fentress County, and that local doctors won't start referring patients to JRMC under any circumstances as long as Seamus/Rennova is running it.
Do you have a link?
I report. You decide.
Barry - You are probably right about the UPS address.
What I do know is that according to the Florida Division of Corporations, Rennova Health, Inc.'s address is shown as follows:
PRINCIPAL ADDRESS:
400 SOUTH AUSTRALIAN AVENUE, SUITE 800
WEST PALM BEACH, FL 33401
MAILING ADDRESS

According to what I have been told by folks who have worked for Rennova, they were kicked out of that office because they were delinquent on rent.
If you go to insert-text-here, you will see that that office is vacant and available for rent.

They actually got kicked out of their original office location, because they didn't pay the rent.
I'm not kidding. I have good local sources on that (people who worked at one of the hospitals).
Personally, when the BK comes, I think there will be a good chance of it being a Chapter 7.
You forgot to mention the hospital workers who can't count on regularly receiving pay checks.
I agree with two-thirds of what you said. Whether they will be able to restructure remains to be seen.
