It’s not unheard of for a complicated acquisition to take the better part of a year or more. And tony the deal guy was certainly hyped as such by noelle et al. Give that three weeks of silence and you may have an indicator, OR they might just be sharpening their scalpels two take another chunk out of my well-being.
All the reasons you stated are reasons that I CAN sleep at night.
Thank you for your kind words. I have always enjoyed reading your posts. I believe you have an intelligent take on this company.
One day, (seemingly a while ago). one poster posted that this mb is more like a support group. And while I see it as more than that, it has definitely been a go-to in the worst of my ADXS times. So thanks, again.
But time for boo-hooing is over. I am curious about this silence. It has kept me on the edge of my seat. I have not had any calls returned, which for some reason makes me excited. I also fear for the worst, but that just seems too bad to be true. I mean, I am an idiot, but I’m not THAT big of an idiot.
Don’t feel terrible for me. It is my own doing. No sense in trying to build a time machine. We can only learn from our mistakes, and move on. That said, GO ADXS!!!!
Thank you, all, for your posts. We are a community whether or not we agree on the exact methodology by which we endeavor. I am patient, if nothing else, and I ask that all of you continue to offer suggestions and consideration to each other as we either progress or fail. Buyout or not, we have all been in this for a while. I enjoy the rhetoric and I enjoy the comedic banter. Keep it going. It keeps the spirit up:)
I’ve seen this stock price eroded over the past couple of years, and I’ve seen my fair share of shocks and upsets in this stock. I’ve always believed in the science, as I’ve held shares long for the vast better part of a decade (pre-RS @ $0.16), and continued to buy all along. To put it into perspective, that’s almost a quarter of my life, and I’ve lost a house and the love of my life over the money I’ve poured into this company. With my luck lately, literally nothing ceases to amaze me to the negative. I could have asked last year whether or not we thought we would now be trading at these levels...Am I a good investor? Clearly not. But am I seriously asking if I could lose everything in this mess, and am I reaching out for some moral support from a group I’ve followed and respected for years? Yes. Yes I am. I believe a buyout will take place (at some point), but I have been wrong in the past. And it’s not unlike a speculative science to drop through the floor unexpectedly, especially if something newer and better comes along while we toil. How are we at this point? Dreams or nightmares?
What are the chances ADXS would be delisted from the NASDAQ at these price levels?
I had to hear it for myself...I called Noelle (to get her voicemail). I tried the number for LHA Investor Relations that was provided for Miriam Weber Miller on the BusinessWire article for the PSA poster presentation acceptance, but the voicemail was for an “Emelia.” Either way, I left messages. I’m not going to hold my breath for a response.
I believe they are in the office, and I believe this is an intentional blackout period. I was dispelling reasoning behind the thought that they are simply on extended Easter/Spring Break. Some posters were trying to rationalize an alternative theory for the period of silence. That was my rebuttal.
And @biotech_researcher: I actually prefer the phrase a$$es-over-elbows, but I’ll stick with the original typo for posterity.
Any respectable business (Advaxis included) will have an auto-response to any emails/voicemail when out-of-office for an extended period of time.
Insurers make money hand-over-fits on expensive treatments. More affordable treatments don’t necessarily benefit the money machine.
That’s what I thought. Curious. Thanks for the response:)
Is there any chance the deal for the 10 million shares was a part of some other negotiation and hasn’t closed yet? And that’s why we haven’t seen or heard anything about it, or was it defined as a done-deal in the PR (I don’t remember)?
Or the door to ADXS hq is a portal to another dimension...that’s where all the pr, employees, and now one of our own have gone.
I like that math.
@bourbon @iggy let’s not be derisive. We’re all team ADXS for better or worse. We all have our views, but our hope are all the same...a rewarding outcome. Let’s be constructive with this conversation. We all have intelligent input to give. Be respectful of a contrary concept.
Somebody buying AXAL?
Hold on astraZ trial.
I hope you’re right. I believe in the future of Advaxis, but it’s been a long haul. I’m ready for something that spurs my hope as opposed to the tumult we’ve seen.
We’re all in the same boat. We all are looking for success in our endeavors—long, short, or otherwise.
I am a warrant holder and faithful long. I hope for a sale well above $30. I hope I do not lose out on my warrants. I think we can get all...I only need them to hold value. If only long enough to convert. If there is any hope of that I’ll take it. Otherwise, I’m in it until the Fat Lady sings.
#4...I'd like to see a sooner time frame, but it has to happen before warrants expire, for a few reasons.
30 million shares is leverage...which we need for competitive negotiations with BP. Possible dilution is not favorable, but all options must be explored for the sake of progress.
Does anyone know (or provide resources) when the EMA submission portal is open in January?
Such fickle friends reside here. There is risk in a risk:reward scenario. All, just hold on to your big boy/girl pants and ride it out. It's on the way.
Yes. Simply put.
Stay strong. It's a storm worth weathering.
Done. Stayed tuned, and we'll send out the RSVPs.
Ummm. I've been faithful to this company for about 8 years now, pre-split...WHEN we hit 50, I'll see you in DC. And I'll have my own flight:)
Silence is not a prelude to buyout, but what is happening is investors here are speculating as to why the silence has occurred it is only one of many of my theories, and I'd appreciate you not labeling me for a speculative comment and question.
Still, if something hostile came along...I think there would be some bidders that might have something to say. But the long silence makes me think talks are taking place.
Any thoughts on the notion that a low-ball take out would invite any other offers?
Best wishes with you, Blue. I've been there also.
Tony's speaking was 4.3% more energized, though the presentation didn't do anything for me except extend my patience to the middle of 2018 (where my patience originally extended to the end of this year). More waiting, but at least the is a lot on the block for 2018. Lots of intellectual property...all potential.
I want to hear more about this potential EU partnership!
$450 from $10 million. $130 million to...$5.8 billion?
And what are the chances that there is no upward pressure because the buying of the sold share is to cover...with lower and lower bids? I am not sure the timeline allows for that, but covering HAS been taking place (if not to completely explain the downward pressure, it at least accounts for some of it). 3 plus million shares sold by fidelity puts a lot on the table for shorts to cover at lower and lower prices.
Friday. After hours. The new report comes out then.
Did you really just ask what a person dying of cancer would think of your capital venture? Get some perspective. We are here for them, not the other way around!
Unethical policies are taught as trading strategy in speak-easies and rathskellers, after hours, with a whiskey and wink by the mentors of fresh new hires to the many independent firms.
Perhaps not a "chump" buyout, no. But then it does seem to understate the potential upside as a lot of us see it. Especially on the merits of existing science. But who knows, we are all just speculating here.
