4 weeks of testing does not mean plant shuts after 4 weeks. Maybe just maybe clients are visiting tge plant. Also 4 weeks of testing does not mean results will be published 1 day later.... i am confident that Mr Neary will report all when he is comfortable he can..
By the way. Excellent article in Crain magazine on CCTI. came out this morning
Looks like they have partnered up with University of Wyoming.....that is very big
I agree.... exact timing when it comes to testing is always hard but it appears that everything is on track...
Thank you Cartman. Always a pleasure reading your constructive posts
I have no idea whether the letter "will work better" anymore than you know that it will not. I do know having a letter sent by Gov Mead to Sec Perry supporting this technology is better than one not sent...
Re the LOI and MOU i know that not all LOI and MOU result in trades but better to have them than not. Again just my opinion...
Thank you Whitecoal.... did Gov Mead not write a letter to Sec Perry about CCTI technology. I think i heard it on a webcast or somewhere... plot thickens...
I texted aiden last night about this release. . It was clear to me that it was not a legitimate posting as the company name waa incorrect. The release that was posted to the website was an IT service provider error or a flat out hacking. Either way it was absolutely not from the company.
He said he was very satisfied with the test facility. (My guess is that whatever results they got they are being verified by Washington before they announce them). In fact he had just returned from the facility in Oklahoma where they hosted a visit with some third party.
We can expect a press release soon updating us with developments.... i do not know timing and i do not know content. I guess there is limitations with what management can say until verified. Let's wait and see what comes out of this.
Cartman, you have to let it go about disclaimers. Every public company ALWAYS has a disclaimer. It is called being legally smart and not "clowns" trying to hide behind sonething as you are happy to always try and point out. It is like a school bus driver staying under the speed limit. You don't have to but you run a huge risk if you go over it. I hope that simile helps you understand legal disclaimers a little better... you are welcome.
I agree Cartman. Looks like the .10 ceiling is a level certain folk would rather this company didn't cross. In $ terms it is low but stock terms heavy selling. I assume that if we get news then it will break it easily.
I am defending nobody. Why should i? I merely said that i find sean and Aiden very responsive. Whether they respond to anyone else is something that i could care less about. If you haven't had success with sean then try emailing Aiden or Robin. Again, my experience has been nothing but positive. How it works for others does not matter to me.
Am pretty sure that they would read your resume if you have all the answers. Then we can all watch as you glide us to $1 per share as you correct all the errors that this company is allegedly making. Always makes me laugh how much smarter people are when they do not have to do the job. Personally i am very excited about what this month brings but if others wish to spend their time picking faults and looking for ways to insult this company then god bless you all. I can find 1000 more productive and constructive way of spending my days.
I find sean mahoney and aiden incredibly responsive with what they are allowed say. Perhaps it depends on how you ask!!!!!
Whitecoal.... thank you for sharing. It seems to me that your experience is not isolated. Too often we take for granted access to energy. It certainly appears to me that the argument against coal in this country is by and large unfounded. Yes, coal dust is a problem. Yes, some of the ash ponds and emissions are a problem. We need to accept the fact that until a viable reliable and economically attractive alternative exists we will continue to use coal.
Pristnes processed coal is dust free. That addresses one concern. The increased Btu requires less coal burned to achieve same energy output. There is not a 1:1 ratio re btu and CO2. However, my guess would be a reduction of between 3-5% on co2 emissions if you increase btu by 25-30%. On the face of it not a lot but material to the overall picture.
Let us hope these benefits once economically proven upon the deployment of a commercial unit will not just change US consumption of coal but provide a more environmentally positive world.
It certainly is an exciting time. It has been a long journey but all the stars appear to be aligning. I am personally building up my position.
i hope everyone who has been following and supporting this stock and company are rewarded.
Reuters, Platts EIA and countless other independent research houses have published that 43 - 45 new coal power plants are being built in Japan to replace the demise of its nuclear power. But when this company comments on it and quotes the facts "they are stretching the truth"... mmmhhhh. Ok
JamesE. The 43 new coal power plants represents an increase of 50% in coal power production. Japan has to import 95% of its energy. They are the largest investor in Indonesian coal projects (Indonesia is currently looking to build 117 new coal power plants)... that is quite the number (i personally think this number will drop but not by a lot)
Japan is a very attractive for CCTI. I truly hope that in conjunction with Wyoming they can move this forward.
During the Japanese visit recently to Wyoming they spent time with the University of Wyoming. As i posted previously that university has an energy division set up for PRB coal production and consumption. Mr Neary lived and worked in Japan (if i recall correctly). Could there be something between CCTI, University of Wyoming and the Japanese who are seeking long term secured coal offtake agreements. For political and economic stability purposes and their unquestionable need for increased coal imports maybe there is something happening here. I have zero doubt that Mr Eves and Mr Neary are all over this. I did email Aiden about this potential opportunity and he replied stating that he was very aware of it and they had been invited to attend that meeting. They continue to work with Wyoming on many levels..
Finally, i have never posted that any given day was going to be the best day in history. I have never posted under another name and i own what i post. No matter how many times it is insinuated or claimed i said it i assure you that post did not come from me. I take 100% responsibility for what i write and not for what people want to falsely claim.
It feels like people are building positions prior to the news. At these levels it is a steal in my opinion. I picked some more up this last week on average at 0.09. I look forward to the DOE comments and also the test results. This could be a very good month for this company but who knows.... it is all just my opinion.
WC great post. This is exactly what i look for in a company. In my previous life we used to call it skin in the game.Mr Neary has never sold a share. Management have converted part of their salary into shares. Stock hit $1 and Aiden didn't sell. I am aware that this process has been long and frustrating for most. Almost 3 years for me. But i bring it back to basics. They have a technology that appears to be what the US and International coal people need. They have surrounded themselves with pretty smart lawyers and accountants scientists and engineers. They have executed global patents through Nixon Vandehye which is one of the best and contrary to what people say i think that Robin and Aiden are pretty smart people and could find a thousand better things to do with their time unless they really believed in it. I for one remain highly optimistic but that is just my opinion.
I also believe that a relationship or partnership with a university would help a lot.
"Some things are easy to see through" so true... ding ding. Let's all get on board..
The only note holder with this company from July 1st is Black Diamond Financial Group, the same investor since 2015. The main success here was eliminating the toxic debt from their balance sheet.
I assume they will relay the results to the DOE first before making them public.
WhiteCoal.. please continue to post. I for one welcome and appreciate your postings.
I am confident they will provide an update when they deem it the right time to.
Yip. You should all sell. Makes my buying cheaper.
The test plant is located at the AES coal power utility outside of Poteau Oklahoma. As an active power generation site it is heavily protected. I am sure that if you put a request through for access then providing you pass or meet their background check, attend their onsite mandatory safety lesson, have the necessary hard hat, goggles, fire resistant clothing and steel capped boots i am absolutely sure that AES will let you access the plant. However, then you will need to convince Mr Eves or Mr Neary why they should let some random individual see their plant. I really hope they would say no
.
Btw. I know about access to active ppwer plants as prior to my retirement i had to visit a lot.
I completely agree. What a lot of people forget is that you can have coal represent 35% of energy production 10 years ago and 30% today yet coal production and consumption may still be higher today. Before you all think i am crazy you should note that overall consumptiom number continues to increase at a higher rate than the reduction in coal contribution thus coal usage as a non % of overall contribution number will continue to increase....
Let's assume you are really hungry and want to eat as much pizza as you can... would you prefer two 8'inch pizzas or one 12'inch pizza to get you the most pizza?
Have we figured out who Patton Squire Boggs is? I googled them. They do not exist. The company has already reported that they are however working with Squire Patton Boggs in their approach to Capitol Hill. What is the sinister accusation here? The company informed us... ever think that the reason why this company gets market leaders supporting them is because people believe in the technology and management.
CCTI has never discussed a partnership with DOE.
JamesE... people will believe what they chose to believe. I tend to agree with you.
The DOE is doing a technical review but according to some that means nothing. They have had quotes from state elected officials in Wyoming.
The company has Squire Patton Boggs and Thompson Hine as their lawyers. They also had Kopelowitz as lawyers. Perhaps read the 10K and 10Q and 8K's you will see that but i guess insinuating they have no lawyers is easier.
Absolutely everyone should do their DD and not be fooled by sweeping statements that when challenged results in posts getting deleted...
I am pretty sure that Mr Eves and Mr Neary report what they are allowed to report. What is the obsession with forward looking statement disclaimers ? Every single release and webcast by every public company does this. If they do not then they need to change their lawyers as it enables the company to give a little more detail in their release without the risk of legal issues. So probably best to drop the obsession with disclaimers.
Kiewit who are running the tests will use thar opportunity for their engineers to come up with a commercial design. The company said it will be done immediately after testing.
I agree with permitting but when you have state representatives and legislators and the US government supporting you, permits tend to get expedited.
Let's hope we hear from the company soon so this share price can more accurately reflect the real value of this company... and before you all jump on ny comment. It is just my opinion that this company is very undervalued.
What was the blatant lie?
I agree that is not here forever but certainly for the foreseeable future. I acknowledge that all your data is correct but maybe we can try and not use data talking about 1950, 1997, 2012 etc etc. Try this piece of data that is more current from www.eia.gov published September 12 2017... yes 2017 ... 11 days ago
"Coals forecast generation share (in the US) rises from 30% last year to 31% in 2017. The projected generation share for coal is 32% in 2018"
But thank you for the history lesson on coal consumption and trends from years ago. Personally, i like to look at the present
JamesE... i completely agree with you. As an Australian i can tell you first hand the impact of reliance on wind and solar.
Gas has set the wholeale price on more than one occassion after solar and wind failed. It has seen prices go from an average of A$65 per megawatt hour to A$9,000 per megawatt hour. Point is that wind and solar certainly have their benefits and hopefully in years yo come they play a bigger role HOWEVER, today and for the foreseeable future coal wil play a major role in the energy grid (US increasing production and consumption of coal by between 5-6% in 2017 per the EIA). So unless we are claiming the EIA is SOOOOO wrong because certain posters have access to US production and consumption data that is more accurate then we can all agree that US productiom and consunption is increasing in 2017 v 2016.
Your coal storage comment is exactly correct. That is one of the reasons coal usage is not wanning either here in the US or Internationally.
Of course there will be people who will not accept the actual factual data that is published by actual departments and divisions solely focussed on this data collection but that is ok. I look forward to the testing being finished amd positive news.
James E . Please keep up your postings. I appreciate them for their factual accuracies.
You are mistaken. I never claimed that they were going to have the biggest day in their history. I would never ever state that. Please show me where i said that. You posted yesterday that this was another pink sheet failed company. I am just asking you to confirm that what you posted is true. Course it could be soneone hacked your account and posted without your knowledge. Please confirm
"Another pink sheet failure"... Is CCTI a failure? Last i checked it is the only coal tech company that is actually surviving. KFX, White Energy, Syncoal the list goes on... all the bankruptcies peabody arch etc etc. But CCTI is a pink sheet failure?. Right, so the DOE is doing a technical review on a failed company? License revenue has been paid for failed company? Kiewit is working on a technology of a failed company? Perhaps you can take this opportunity to correct your previous post if you think it is incorrect.
I am like a lot of people that wish this company was trading at a higher price and more advanced on comnercialization than they are BUT i am also a realist and compared to so many "better technologies" with "better management" that lost their investors and shareholders everything i am good with where Mr Eves and Mr Neary is and what they WILL do for this company.
James E... you need to remember that apparently the US government is lying about coal consumption, the 42 coal power plants being built in Japan is a lie, the fact that 306 million people are without energy in India and that coal represents 75% of indias power grid is a fabrication made up by their minister for energy and that china uses coal for 62% of their energy and is expected to increase by 4% by 2020. You see either all of the above are simply untruths or in fact coal consumption is dying. You all can believe whichever works for you. I know what one i believe. "It aint what you don't know that gets you in trouble it's what you know for sure that just ain't so"
Thank you James E and Whitecoal for always providing facts to bavk up your commemts. Very useful information and helps me a lot.
To say that coal fired power generation is on the wane is inaccurate. 45 mew power plants being built in Japan, dozens more in China and India proves demamd for coal energy will continue to increase. Now if you are referring to the US then i do think that coal power will continue to ease off.. that said, i heard from a friend of mine that a coal plant here in the US that he works at that had been converted to gas is now changing back to coal...there is a bigger world outside of the US and coal continues to be the dominent energy feedstock.
If people on this board believe coal is dead, the management of this company are liars and the technology either doesnt exist or is not commercially viable as claimed then why be on a coal tevhnology board, let alone be the one to decide what posts can stay up and those that get deleted. Surely you do not care...
I inderstood ignacio resigned because of personal family issues. Do you know differently.
Given the new US administration is just in and given appointments to the DOE continue being made i suspect the first thing here is being noticed like what they are doing. Getting results will follow. It is like they have had to start afresh witg the DOE given the 180 degree shift in their mandate.
Obviously everyone should do their own DD. My comments are just my own
1) Applying for grants and or loans from the US government is very expensive. Average $300k per application
2) The grant process is primarily aimed at concept technologies and not technologies that have been proven
3) Up until January this year all focus by the DOE was on carbon capture technologies
That said, there is a new grant for $50m that appears to me as ideally suited for this fonpanys technology. Deadline for applicatiom is next month. I hope management is looking into this. It would be a terrific way to move this technology forward.
Also, there is a clear and evident shift and focus from Washington to that of job creation as opposed to carbon capture.
Who knows what the coming weeks will tell us but the landscape is poised for a technology like Pristine M. Let's hope it is the one.
I think that when sweeping comments are made accusing management of lying and being deceitful it would benefit everyone if examples can be given. Just makes it look legitimate and not pushing a personal agenda
What lies are they responsible for now? What have they said would happen that has not?. Are you still focused on previous management?
You may be correct but we would all like to see some back up.
Right...so you are a broker and because they would not pay you compensation they are doing things incorrectly? This market is filled with over night promises. I am sure that if robin and aiden turned you down then they had their reasons.
How should they go about it? They kept a coal related company alive when those around them fell. But sure..i cannot wait to hear your wisdom.
I agree that SAIC and KIEWIT are being paid. Of course they are but my point is two fold
1) they would never associate ryeir name with a technology that does not work from a reputational perspective and
2) these groups are very very good and have very talented people that this company has had and continues to have the benefit of.
