Top Online DVD Rental Services
TheStreetWire.com takes a look into online DVD rentals.
(PRWEB) January 17, 2006 -- TheStreetWire.com takes a look into online DVD rentals.
Online DVD rental services are becoming more popular moving into 2006, and so are the companies that offer them. Each of these services have their own pro’s and con’s, so lets take a look at them and see how they stack up against each other.
The most popular online DVD rental service is provided by Netflix (NFLX), the company that started the online rental revolution. Netflix has rental plans starting at $9.99 per month for one DVD out at a time, up to $17.99 per month for 3 DVD’s out at a time. The turnaround claims to be fast with 36 different shipping centers around the country, and postage is prepaid for the customer. http://www.Netflix.com
Another choice in online DVD rental is Blockbuster (BBI), who launched their online service in an attempt to gain back some of its lost business to the online trend. Blockbuster has rental plans starting at $9.99 per month for one DVD out at a time, up to $17.99 per month for 3 DVD’s at a time. An added bonus with Blockbuster’s service each month you get two free in-store rentals. http://www.Blockbuster.com
One of the more overlooked, but rapidly growing online DVD rental service is Gameznflix (GZFX), which currently has the best price for online rentals in the market. One of the unique perks of Gameznflix, as the name suggests, is that they allow you to rent movies or games at the same time, for the same price. This is a big plus for families with children, college students, or for avid gamers. Gameznflix, with a market cap of roughly $15M, recently inked a deal with Circuit City to offer the Gameznflix service in their stores, a move which should only fuel the fire of this small cap competitor. http://www.GameznFlix.com
Since online DVD rental is a newer concept, there are many different competitors and copycats entering the market, and we’ve seen monthly rates drop as a result of this competition. In order to remain as a profitable business model, it’s unlikely that prices will drop much more, if at all in the future. One of the more likely scenarios is for some of the smaller companies to merge operations in order to take on the bigger competitors such as Netflix. As far as the competitors mentioned we felt that Gameznflix was the best dollar for dollar value, with very fast turnaround times and the availability of games its an obvious choice for gamers and movie buffs.

Pay-per-rental
Maybe GZFX should offer this option.
Service is great
Was sent 2 dvds on the 11th, received them tody the 13th. From PA to NY.
I've had dvds on order and some came in without them telling me. They left it (on order) in my queue, but when I searched for it on the website they now had it available.

I'm an excc store director with more than 20 years with the company.
I've been involved at the store level in many CC "tests". I know how
CC runs these tests so if CC was unhappy with the initial test program
they would simply pull the plug and go on to the next test. They
didn't pull the plug! I watched the selloff with amazement. I truly
believe that the success of the CC/GZFX program was overwhelming to
GZFX's capability to service it's increased customer base. I'm
confident that Behind the scene CC is helping GZFX regroup and expand
it's capacity in the expectation this partnership is going to explode
in subscribers when they rollout. CC will tightly control the number
of stores in each rollout expansion phase so both companies can
provide exceptional customer service. I don't expect CC to "buy" GZFX
ever. Mr Schoonover has greatly expanded the partnerships with CC,
just look under "services" on the CC website. This is all money in the
bank for CC straight to the bottom line. Relax everyone this one is a
GO, just have to wait in line for our payoff. Go GZFX and CC
Quick service
They sent me PSP game 1-5-06, receied it today 1-7-06. Can't get much better than that!
# of subs
In the wall st.net interview on 11/29 Chip stated subs were up 25%. Now in Dec. subs are up 110%. Does anyone know when they stated they were half way to break-even? Which at the time meant 7500 subs.
Pilot program
I beleive they extened the pilot because they are getting so many subs, and they want to have the new website up before the rollout and be fully prepared for the new subs. This news today is not bad at all.
0.001 did u see that trade just go by.
Q: When can investors expect the Company to see an up tick in its subscription revenues?
A: I’m proud to report that we saw a 110% increase in paid members for the fourth quarter of 2005
Queue
Did anyone else notice you can now put more movies/games in your queue? I was limited to 40 now have over 40. Have the 8 and out plan.

GZFX: A Solid Game Plan
Jan 03 2006 10:29:33 pm
Market Analysis by Lonny Rosenfeld
When you watch a DVD there are two ways to do this, either you buy the DVD or you rent the DVD. There are now also two ways to rent a movie, one can run into their closest Blockbuster (NYSE: BBI) or jump online and have the movie shipped home in a very speedy manner.
Why leave the house when you can just have your movies shipped to your mailbox? It seems that many people are catching onto this idea, one reason why companies such as Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) have been seeing recent success. It was only a matter of time before this same idea was applied to video games. Gamefly.com took the initiative and established a service built on the same ideas as Netflix. Gamefly.com until recently has enjoyed a lack of competition, but like with any great idea, there is always a second player in the game, with a goal to beat out the original player.
The new guy in town is a small company that goes by the name of GameZnFlix (OTCBB: GZFX.OB). Starting in November GameZnFlix and Circuit City (NYSE: CC) signed an agreement where Circuit City would promote GameZnFlix on a trial basis in a select number of its stores. This is not a bad accomplishment for a relatively unknown company to obtain. The fact that many OTC stocks tend to appear and disappear makes many investors nervous and because of this reason many people do not invest in these stocks.
GameZnFlix stands out from many other OTC stocks. Many of these OTC companies flood investors with all kinds of promising news and possible deals, but promise is the only thing that occurs. GameZnFlix has exceeded many of these companies by actually already getting the wheels in motion. The "trial partnership" with Circuit City will make more investors feel at ease when investing in this company. It remains to be seen how successful this partnership will be, but if the limited number of stores are reporting any type of success, expect Circuit City to offer this service in all of its stores. The potential is clearly there for success, but until GameZnFlix releases a statement on the early results of this partnership investors can only hope things are going well.
Taking a look at the chart below, many bullish events are occurring.
There have been numerous bounces off the increasing 50 DMA. Strong support appears to have been established at $.0127. It appears likely that the next run will test the $.015 resistance. If this $.015 resistance area is broken, there is very little in the way of resistance until $.02. The last rally in late November took shares to just below $.025, if the $.015 resistance is broken, expect another rally to occur with a higher high than the $.025 reached in November.
As always there is a high level of risk with any OTC stock. A statement from GameZnFlix regarding the success with Circuit City can either cause shares to triple in value in a single trading day or send shares back to the sub-penny level.

Wonder why this stock jumped over 80% yesterday. Can't wait for GZFX to do the same.
New Contest!
Who can guess the amount of subs, the next time that info is released.
If you are use AOL browser, that could be the problem. Use aol explorer or internet explorer.
Only limit orders
You cannot place market orders on penny stocks. Caught in a lie huh!!!!!!!
Saving on games alone
is worth the membership. Once everybody realizes how much money you save by renting, the subs will skyrocket. For example if you buy 5 games a year @$50 a game, that's more than the yearly subscribtion.
