Snap: Short term warning on ANAD
As long as we break upwards out of the triangle with significant volume.
No, that is not the same as my chart. I will email you...
GTE Symmetrical Triangle on the 60min chart
GTE Symmetrical triange on the 60min chart
Any thoughts?
Do you wait for the wall to be broken down before you buy? Or do you buy after the wall has been taken down?
Thanks, do you use a whole bunch of L2 screens when you trade?
NGEN just broke resistance
Snap: Do you look for a large ask @ resistance on level2?
EMBT gapped up nicely this morning, good sign that the trend is going positive.
&r=3272>
Thanks for the articles MAC! They were a good read.
UALAQ is packed tight, watch for a break of 1.65
BCON Cup and handle resistance 1.24
SONE ascending triangle, 4.95 resistance
UALAQ is heating up again...
SHRN: Symmetrical Triangle forming. Anyone watching this volatile stock?
Snap: I like waiting for confirmation but If you own it, than I would hold, upside seems to be more likely that downside.
Thanks guys I'll wait for happy hour, or maybe MACDAD can add the links to the header?
rayrhon:I am watching very closely, look out for my posts on the GTE TA board. If you read my past posts you will see that I have been very accurate in predicting price movement, same with Ragnar. I will not hop back on until I get some confirmation that this thing is going back up. Lot's of potential though! I think she's on lot's of people's watch lists.
Does anyone have any good articles or instruction on how to use Andrew's pitchfork. Do any of you use it?
We are still on SHO but I will continue to make my decisions based on TA and ignore the sho list from here on in.
tech: Why do you attack Ragnar? All of his posts have been backed by TA.
Stocktrader1 comments with no backup but Ragnar does not.
ragnar: I would have to disagree, especially in GTE's case. If you take a look at many of the stocks that were placed on SHO, most have taken a beating. Different stocks get beaten up to a different extent.
BTW, Remember that a stock is shorted because according to TA it looks like it is going to fall or fundamentally is over valued.
Because I think that the crooks filled up at 2.13. Additionally, the last time we got off the sho list the exact same thing happened. Although, I'm still not going to say that GTE is bullish until I get some more confirmation.
If we are still on the SHO list tonight I would be worried.
I would bet a large sum of cash that we will be off the SHO list tonight
Oh yeah, I have to thank grapes for making me change the resistance level just in time.
Ragnar: I swear, this was my ultimate target buy order... I have been stairing at this for 2 weeks...I couldn't set the buy because my account is currently being transfered but at least I made my Dad some cash :).
I truly felt that gte would not fall so fast but when I saw that we were on reg sho I told my dad to set the buy order just in case. We hit it just about dead on.
mlaw: I took a quick look at MSEP and I just want to warn that it has confirmed a bearish head and shoulders pattern
http://stockcharts.com/education/ChartAnalysis/headShouldersTop.html
I don't know much about this company but I do know that this pattern is quite reliable and that you may get one more pop but it won't happen for a while and the pop will hit approximately the price it is at today as it's high.
grapes: I have learned that it is best to find a 2-3 indicators that have proven to work for the stock. "Try to choose indicators that complement each other, instead of those that move in unison and generate the same signals." (stockcharts.com)
In regards to using trendlines, it is not a big deal if you go by the closes of the candles or the high's and lows because the trend does not have to be 100% accurate. There can be outliers.
Funny you mentioned the support line i drew in because I also wasn't sure if I drew it in properly. I thought about it some more and have changed it. Our support is now a little bit higher than I had initially thought, it also makes more sense now when you take a look at the indicators that compliment the chart.
BTW, short term = approximately 1 month
Intermediate term = between 1-2 months
long term = a year +
The short term bearish sentiment will be confirmed IMO when we stop kissing the purple line I drew in @~3.00 on the weekly chart which could happen next week. I believe that it has already been confirmed on the daily chart.
Yes,
it is an overall bearish pattern (the rising wedge) but it will be a year to two years before that is a concern, first it has to hit $10 :) Intermediate term is very bullish and short term is bearish IMO.
LOL
ragnar: what did you think of
post #3522 Do you agree with my comments and the channel I drew in?
ABLE staircase
Stair Case
Snap UTS.TO flew past resistance after bumping it's head two weeks ago
The True Channel IMO
GTE is currently undecided as to where it will go. Will it hold the current support (2.70-2.90 range)? I believe the pros want it to hit the low 2's so that they can load up at cheaper prices and complete the channel. If the CEO chooses to release a blockbuster pr soon, than we will fly, but if we don't get something I believe that we will test the support line I drew in. This is the reason why so many claim that we are going to hit the low two's for all those non TA types out there who want to understand why bashers want to bring this down and why many people claim we will hit the low two's. EVERYONE WANTS CHEAPER SHARES AND EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN AGENDA!!! I just wanted everyone here to understand the reasoning behind it.
thanks snap: I like when you post picks like that :) gives me a better idea of what your looking at.
Tech: What are your thoughts about us being on Reg Sho list?
I have updated the falling wedge, I like the fact that all the ema's are coming together as they did before our last run. Notice the way GTE is being squeezed between the 200ema, the resistance line I drew in, and the middle of the bb line.
Ragnar: I found it interesting how you like to draw your resistance lines based on the closes of the candles so I attempted to draw in the line your were talking about. I am not sure if I drew it in correctly but it is interesting to look at the wedge that way and see how the sp has been hugging the line.
Ragnar: I agree with what you said about the 3 patterns we are currently in.
