Bought back more SMCI at $730
2morrowsGains: I bought back some SMCI at $742 because the third fiscal quarter ending March 31 is usually seasonally weak for SMCI, yet its revenue sequentially rose 5% and it is strength for me. Of course many investors misunderstood 5% sequential rise in revenue as a weakness from competition.
Congratulation on GERN!
LWAY, boring packaged food company, has doubled in the past month, faster than expected.
SMCI down 1+% pre-market, possibly a healthy breath before back over 900 as earning is coming in tomorrow.
TSLA up 10+% pre-market due to FSD win in China, confirming the rapid progress in full self driving which may become a reality by the end of THIS year.
SMIC=Mr Beast!
GOOG + 13% after hour. Its cloud revenue grows faster than MSFT
Arbitrage is the strategy I use to reduce cost from time to time. But many times it backfired for me.
Musk said yesterday "If you've not tried the FSD 12.3, and like I said, 12.4 is going to be significantly better and 12.5 even better than that. And we have visibility into those things. Then you really don't understand what's going on.
It's not possible."
Do not waste time in reading them, as the damage (the time you waste and bad idea you get) may out weigh the benefit (occasionally you get a good idea)
TSLA up 11+% after hour: Musk has been back into crisis mode (meaning productive) and next 3 years will be crucial!
She might fall below 600, but more likely than not, she will rise until next week's earning report (possibly recover all the loss last Friday). Afterwards, it depends on its earning report and guidance, and only God knows.
Congratulation on your buying SMCI at great price. The great time may be yet to come.
I have not sold any so I could not buy back any TSLA. I indeed bought back more SMCI at great price this morning. One rule I always follow is diversification, as no one could predict market.
SSKILLZ1, you are much better off than me: my SMCI lost nearly 20% today, double the amount IART lost. Similarly I bought back some at $751.5. In the past 4 quarters, SMCI upgraded the earning guidance for two quarters, but in the fiscal 3th quarter 2023, it downgraded the earning guidance, and in the 1th 2024, it did nothing on its earning guidance. This quarter they did nothing on its earning guidance, and I believe SMCI's earning result will be similar to its original guidance.
No, I have only small number of shares, and thus have not bothered in selling any.
PERI and INMD, the worst stocks lately, down almost every day, regardless the market up or down.
Thanks KIK on SOWG. I am just lucky!
littlejohn: I read its earning report a few days ago and decided to pass because it is fishy in many aspects or very hard to understand this company. Why its net cash was reduced significantly with so much profit? What does financial and contract assets mean? Why do they rise significantly? Why its registered office address in the Cayman Islands is located at PO Box 309, Ugland House, Grand Cayman, KY1-1104, Cayman Islands?
ADFJF: Cash rose significantly far over debt, and now they have become a cash cow.
ALAR down 6.79% today, got some at $21.5.
INMD +2.5% today
Both PERI and INMD have good balance, make good money, but have lowered the guidance. I bought some PERI at 13.2 yesterday morning and it felt as low as $12.1 yesterday afternoon. Will PERI similarly fall later afternoon today?
Got some PERI at 13.2. Thanks for your great posts, SSKILLZ1
Fake news: they are controlled by government in dictator countries and by capitalists including Reuters in democratic countries.
Gas car is noisy and inconvenient, for ancient people. No kids want to give up tesla EV once they try it. It is clean, and accessible to internet anywhere any time.
If you think you are modern person, you should own a Tesla EV. If one wants dead earlier, continue to drive dirty gas cars.
Researcher, you may want to try FSD at Tesla store. They offer free test driving. Once you are hooked with it, you will not want to drive any other car.
TSLA +7.12 to $175.5, above the closing price before bad delivery data of April 2. Why? it is an AI company with FSD fast progressing.
SSKILLZ1: may LNTH be better buy than JAZZ? It has more cash than debt, its actual (not adjusted) pe is about 10, and it has grown faster than JAZZ.
Bought some TSLA at 165. Play another buy order at 155. Delivery number is bad, but sfd is coming.
Will oil price continue to strength? Yesterday I bought good number shares of PetroTal Corp with the money from selling hmb.to
SOWG is the one of rare up stocks in my portfolio today.
Any Canadian short term bond ETF has annual yield about 5% or more like SGOV, the US short bond ETF?
Anyone has TGB, CS.to or HBM? Copper and gold price is near all time high. Which copper and gold stock do you like most?
wade, I only spent 5 minutes on IART, so know little about it. You should believe yourself as long as you have put efforts.
Mistake
Thanks hweb on DRX.to vs HBM.to: I am in Canada. The tax free saving account in Canada discourages investors to do short term trading. Any short term trading profit will be included in the taxable income. It could occur heavy penalty in case it is not properly declared. Therefore, I rarely sell stocks in the tax free saving account. Yesterday I indeed sold 6781 shares of hbm.to at $9.49 in the tax free saving account. I bought 17800 copper mountain (cum.to/cmmc.to) shares at $0.68 each on Aug 25, 2015. hbm.to bought cmmc.to on June 23, 2023 at ratio 0.381:1. My 17800 cmmc.to shares became 6781 hbm.to shares at $1.785 each. Do you think if it was wise in selling hmb.to yesterday at $9.49 per share but continue to keep drx.to until $20-30 per share?
You will regret in selling DRX too early. I owned the good number of its shares since June 12, 2019, and has never sold. I added a little more the day before yesterday. The company has recording backlog with rising margin. I believe it would earn $1.5-$2 a year this year, and the fair share price might be $20-30.
I also spent about 5 minutes on IART, and moved on, because 1) it has too much debt which means risky; 2) no growth in profit this year: 3) they talk about great outlook next year, but long term outlook itself has risk: 4) it may rise next year, but there are so many other good companies, why wait?
