Chartist1:
Your latest chart in no way came across as being negative. In fact an occasional warning even from non-TA types of potential pullbacks is often put forth to try to decrease the stress of some of the new comers.
We have seen a good rise over the past week, and for those that have been in this stock for some years now, we have pretty thick skin and can handle the pull-backs. Opportunities for loading up some more...
Also, do not let one voice influence you. Listen to the other voices that always rise up in your defense. I presume you are posting your annotated charts for fellow NEOM investors edification. I believe there is a majority here that feel that having a look at chart TA from you and kgoodrich and others presents a more well rounded look at investing.
Chart on my brother... And for those that are offended by Charts, well, for God's sake... do not look at them.
And finally.... Please... Pleeaaase... If you must drink, don't post... If you must post... don't drink.

When I got the call from Neomedia a few hours ago, concerning the Word Registry, she did mention that they were having problems with the host provider.
MenaMike
I got my call from Neomedia concerning my submission of a word in the Word Registry. Like some of you I had submitted mostly on curiosity. At some point I may take advantge of actually registering a word for some of my web hosting customers. At any rate she explained how my word that I submitted, (Name of a City) would more than likly be considered to fall into the Trademarked words.
I was taken quite off-guard by the call, and at first even though she clearly stated she was with NEOMEDIA I thought it to be just another spam call to try to sell me something.
Very nice to here from them. As soon as they are finished wading through the I-hub submissions they will be calling customers that may indeed be in position to take advantage of the Word Registry at this time.

For those that have been keeping up the list of the Demos and Registered Words, has there been any words that are now "Live" that started out in the "Demo" list. I am trying to get a feel for if we can expect most or all of the "Demos" to become "Live".
And thanks to those that have been doing the upkeep on the list. Very exciting to watch.

Oh! Here is a funny one. My wife shows great interest in NEOM, and I was showing her the live connections to PaperClick, and she saw the some of the links had the "Streaming Video" indicated on the list provided by I-Hub. But she misread it and asked.. (This is True... I am not making this up)... she asked, what is "Steaming Video"? She said steaming, not streaming. LOL.... So I showed her what a "STEAMING VIDEO" is.

I am in about the same postion as Russell. When I mentioned taking some out at 2-3 bucks, well, like Russell, I will have prospered quite well, and will take out my original invesment. But then again, if we are steam rolling at the time, I will let it go on up to $5.00 before taking out my orininal investment. Will leave enough to be a millionaire at $75.00.
I appreciate your response. Especially on the strategy of taking some of this NEOM to invest in future stocks down the road. I lucked into this one, and probably cannot count on being so lucky again. You out to see some of the crap I bought over the past two years. I call it my little dog pound. I certainly will spend more DD on any future purchases to increase my chances of finding another gem like NEOM.

Just query "chicken salad ingredients" on your cell phone's mobile Web browser to search through more than 8 billion pages for the recipe that will wow your taste buds. "
Sure.... that's what I want.... 8 billion pages to scroll through with my cell phone. NOT!

Why does not AOL's registry of words that they have employed and used for year's within their invironment fall under these patents.

OT Hey Beacs
You stated to Russell
"Russell, with your chunk of shares, after pps hits $5+, you can use those earnings to buy 100,000+ shares in the next NEOM. The circle of life!!!!"
I am very new to investing but lucked into the NEOM fold and am very excited. Have been investing in neom since 2003, but being a poor lil old white trash, I have accumulated only 14,000 shares. Am very pleased as if this goes like we all are guessing it will go, this will make a major impact on my income. Now, I am looking at the 2 to 3 dollar range to recoup my original investment and let the rest ride. Explain to me you comment to Russell and how you use the earnings to buy more shares. Is it like taking out a loan on your current shares?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but if I don't ask it will remain as such, just a dumb question without an answere.
Thanks!

"If it crosses the concept of using a word, name, phrase bar code, RFID tag, or anything that is an 'anchor' that then directs to a URL or a specific site on a web site, it is infringing on NeoMedia's patents. The patents are not limited to mobile. However, the problem with CueCat and what Neom realized back in 2000 was that no one wants to sit at thier computer and connect or navigate, it is easy to search. No one wants to search on the mobile phone. And what makes PC so appealing is that you can use it on the go."
My Reply...
I agree with you in that the patents are not limited to "Mobile". So is your opinion that AOL's word registry would be an infringement as they use a word as an anchor to direct to a URL or specific site on a web site.
Thank You

Thanks for the response. Sounds cool... Good to see you posting again. Was not sure if your exhile was related to a self imposed quiet period concerning your relationship with a company, or if you indeed had taken offense at one of the knuckle heads that were taking shots at you. If the later is the case, do not let them get to you. I think that the majority here really appreciate your charts and the way that you present them. Do not pull away just because of a knucklehead or two. It only serves to feed their egos, and all the others lose out. I am hoping it was a self imposed quite period...
Good to see you still around.

I visited the Word Registry page. Completed the actual registraion portion, then I submitted personal contact info and such, then received an e-mail with my username and password and a link back to the Word Registry where I entered a non-trademaked word and got indication that it was available. Now I check the "My Requests" section and can see that I now show my "word" indicated as "Open". Nice process so far. Will be interesting to see what the next step will be. Best I can tell is that at some time this non-trademarked word I have requested, would be placed up for auction, but as to how that would be played out I will wait and see. Maybe, Ebay will play a part, or maybe NEOM's word registry will have it's own dedicated auction site dedicated to the word registry.
Any insight into the auction part of it?

Curious state of affairs right now. The long awaited launching of the Word Rigistry is upon us. And unlike other previous anticipated PR releases we have not been baraged with the usual bashers, ala airpocket and such. Also missed out on the traditional running down of the PPS by MM's that would normally precede a run up of the PPS. This threw me off a bit... I have been waiting to do one more investment (low .30's I was hoping but low and behold, it is not to be! :) I will try to chase monday and see if I can get some more below .50
Maybe this news was just to big for the bashers to fend off and for the MM's to manipulate. For the bashers, reality of the situation has hit them smack in the face. We have the patents, the product, the partners, the customers, and the launch. I guess the bashers will have to crawl off to other stocks to spread their vile trade.
What I will be doing between now and our gathering in L.V. will be correographing a new dance called the Airpocket Drop. It will be all the rage.
Peace!

FIVE
In mathematics
Five is the third smallest prime number, after 2 and 3, and before 7. Because it can be written as 2^(2^1)+1, five is classified as a Fermat prime. 5 is the third Sophie Germain prime, the first safe prime, and the third Mersenne prime exponent. Five is the first Wilson prime and the third factorial prime. It is an Eisenstein prime with no imaginary part and real part of the form 3n − 1.
Five is the only prime number to end in the digit 5, because all other numbers written with a 5 in the ones-place under the decimal system are multiples of five. As a consequence of this, 5 is in base 10 a 1-automorphic number.
Five is a factor of 10, so vulgar fractions with 5 in the denominator do not yield infinite decimal expansions, unlike most other primes. When written in the decimal system, all multiples of 5 will end in either 5 or 0.
The number 5 is a Fibonacci number, being 2 plus 3. The next Fibonacci number is 8. 5 is also a Pell number.
While polynomial equations of degree 4 and below can be solved with radicals, equations of degree 5 and higher cannot generally be so solved. This is the Abel-Ruffini theorem. This is related to the fact that the symmetric group Sn is a solvable group for n ≤ 4 and not solvable for n ≥ 5.
While all graphs with 4 or fewer vertices are planar, there exists a graph with 5 vertices which is not planar: K5, the complete graph with 5 vertices.
Five is also the number of Platonic solids.
A polygon with five sides is a pentagon. Figurate numbers representing pentagons (including five) are called pentagonal numbers. Five is also a square pyramidal number.
Five is the answer to the question asked at the very end of the mathematics quiz show in the movie Little Man Tate. (Our young protagonist blurts out the answer, but the host mishears it as being the answer from the contestant to whom the question is posed, and declares him the winner.)

In binary code five is 101
In ternary code five is 12
In quaternary numeral system code five is 11
In quinary five is 10; in senary code and all codes above (such as decimal, duodecimal and vigesimal) five is 5.
The Roman numeral for five is V, which comes from a representation of an outstretched hand.
In the Greek alphabet, ε (epsilon) has numerical value of 5.
In the Hebrew alphabet, ה (heh) has numerical value of 5.
In the Cyrillic alphabet, Е has numerical value of 5.
In the Glagolitic alphabet, (dobro) has numerical value of 5.
The kanji and Chinese character for five are both 五, and its formal writing in Chinese is 伍 (pinyin wǔ).
[edit]
The Arabic glyph
The evolution of our modern glyph for five cannot be neatly traced back to the Brahmin Indians quite the same way it can for 1 to 4. Later on the Kushana and Gupta Indians had among themselves several different glyphs which bear no resemblance to the modern glyph. The Nagari and Punjabi took these glyphs and all came up with glyphs that look like a lowercase "h" rotated 180°. The Ghubar Arabs transformed the glyph in several different ways, coming up with glyphs that look more like 4s or 3s than 5s. It was from those characters that the Europeans finally came up with the modern 5, though from purely graphical evidence, it would be much easier to conclude that our modern 5 came from the Khmer.
In fonts with text figures, 5 usually has a descender, for example, .

In music
Using the Latin root, five musicians are called a quintet. One such group whose name celebrates their fiveness are the Jackson Five. (In an episode of Will & Grace guest-starring Janet Jackson, she declared that 5 is a mystical number and for that reason she must have precisely 5 backup dancers).
The name of the band The Fifth Dimension implies that they are transcending beyond even the fourth dimension (time) into a new inner dimension.
There was a British boy band called 5ive.
Other bands with "five" in their name include We Five, Five Stairsteps and the Five Man Electrical Band.
The Dave Clark Five and the Ben Folds Five both named themselves after their lead singers, with an implied four others.
The Vogues song "Five-o'clock World" came in reference to the hours 9 to 5 (ending at 5 p.m.), which are the hours of a standard work day. There are also five working days (non-week-ends) in a week.

I agree Vines. Personally this may be my last chance to buy NEOM before it's price rises significantly. So, what to do with my last few hundreds of dollars I have set aside for NEOM. I am going to try to get a better deal. If I miss out no big deal. Just a learning experience for me. If it takes off maybe I can get a buy in in the 40's or 50's... If not.... I wont be cryng one bit. I have some fun money to play with then I probably will be all in and can sit back and let this lil' bud blossom.
MenaMike
Edster:
I am betting the MM's will run the price down a little. Nothing to base that on except for past experience. Lot's of talk on the board about a potentially exciting week with possible PR's announcements of finalizing of deals and such.
If my memory serves me and having been invested in NEOM since 2003, I have made a number of purchases of NEOM stock either prior to a drop missing out on being able to get more shares for my limited resources, or at the start of a run, thinking.... ahhh! it is going to the moon, just to find that after time it retraces below what I had purchased. Sure I have always been able to ease my frustration with my poorly timed purchases by saying, Hey when this puppy is at a couple bucks or more, none will be complaining. I know I will be very pleased. But if I had executed a few of the purchases different I would have several thousand more shares. Not having those will mean real money. I only have just under 16,000 shares of NEOM and I bet with wiser buys, I could have had close to 20,000. I have not sold any NEOM or tried to be a trader. I am certain I would have made a disaster of that as well.
Make your own decision, but I want to just once give it a go and try to time the bottom of the rundown by the MM's. Only will be buying a few thousand more shares, but if I can buy them at .30 rather than .36 it will translate into more share of NEOM. If there is no shake-out, and I miss being able to purchase before the it rockets, so be it. I will then go about doing that "Diversification of the Portfolio" thing.
And I also want to thank all on the board who have been so helpful. There is some extraordinary talent here.
Looking forward to an exciting week.
MenaMike
I am hoping to make one more investment into NEOM. Can we expect the price to be walked down my the MM's. If there is to be news next week, I would expect the price to drop prior to if follows previous NEOM History. If so, how low can we expect it to go. I have never timed a purchase of NEOM very well, and not a big deal if I miss on this one, but it would be fun to try and get this last one in the low 30's. What say the TA folks...
MenaMike
Concerning Mr. Dvoraks view.... He is obviosly a "Glass Half Full" guy. 1 in 8. That is a big market, and surely would grow leaps and bounds once available.

A nice play on words. Son of God and Son of Godzilla.
The Son of God (the word) was sent to tell of a coming disaster. Those that did not hear his word were destroyed, Those that heeded his words were spared.
The Son of Godzilla was sent to spread the good word of a coming revolution in RFID. The Son of Godzilla's words fell on many deaf ears despite his continued efforts warn of the coming revolution. But a few heard his words and allas saw the light of the coming RFID Revolution and wrapped themselves in the warmth of a NEOM blanket of shares to await the coming days of prosperity. But many listened to the false prophets of doom (Airpocket) and suffered mightily as they were tossed to and fro and were conviced to set stop losses, and did sell their shares at a loss and there was crying gnashing of teeth when the NEOM rocket left without them.
MenaMike
OT You are correct sir. Always room to improve on a good joke.

Wooger and Airpocket walk into a bar. Both are poured a half glass of wine. Wooger looks at the half filled glass and smiles as he regonizes the NEOM lable on the bottle. "Ahhh! Although this glass is only half full, I can smell the rich aroma of FCB, Virgin, Airclick, Silicon Space and so on.... This is going to be a great drink!" Airpocket takes his half filled glass of NEOM and dumps it on the floor, unzips and takes a piss in it, and says, "Hey!... my glass is only half full and it smells like piss...."

This board has some great Due Diligentists, some great chartists, wonderful Moderatorists, and now I offer my services as a Forumist. A Forumist devines from signs the near term stock trend based on board activities. With Neom, each significant rise was heralded by:
1. a long period of no growth
2. a long period without PR
3. Bitching begins
4. AirPocketDrop pays a visit
5. MM's shake out the weak hands
6. BBgirl says Oh My God! at falling price
7. News appears, NEOM PR or TS alert
8. Neom stock price rises to new heights
I would say that we are at step 6. Is BBgirl still around?
