Infosonics CEO, Joseph Ram, has just returned from Barcelona where the mobile world convened to discuss the latest and greatest in mobile trends and products. You can check out some of the event highlights and keynote speeches at the Mobile World Congress website, but two of the messages that resonated loud and clear: Android remains a hot OS and we will be seeing a focus on low cost phones for the next billion users.
In Jessica Dolcourt of CNET ‘s “bigger themes of the show” article she summed it up like this: “Things are looking up for emerging markets and people on extreme budgets as handset-makers dig into competition on the low end, putting more attention and effort into a balance between value and lower-cost hardware for the masses.”
As the makers of the verykool® line of Android-based mobile handsets, we are ahead of the game. Our sole focus has been on delivering quality products that are innovative and appeal to consumers, but also offer exceptional value. We have seen and answered this need in emerging markets and predicted the arising need in the United States as well.
While at the show, Joseph gave Sascha Segan at PCMAG a sneak peek at what we’ve been working on. See the highlights of their discussion in this verykool Previews article. With all this widespread talk about value, it seems we are now preaching to the choir. During this trip to MWC 2014, we really did feel right at home.
