So you've never met the person so poor he eats steak for dinner, while watching a movie on HBO, smoking a cigratte, and drinking wine.
All the while the repo man is hooking up to his beater.
"A poor man eats steaks, a rich man pork chops"
So a show not launching on a publicly mentioned date would create an SEC investigation?
They could announce and scrap it and it wouldn't mean a thing. The SEC could care less.
Hey were's the 10 facts? YOu stopped at 4 and only 1 was semi-valid.
"blindly is by default when gambling on a non-reporting company"
You do the same thing with a reporting company. You just have some numbers that might back you up. Nothing more nothing less.
From my understanding the missed deadlines were not completly IBZT fault. The management was iffy from what I could determine but doesn't matter how good management is if you have a bad product/idea it won't sell well if at all. Missed deadlines happen the losses were due to investing in a bad product/idea.
A good example is the SPOT watch from Microsoft. It's a flawed idea and has been a poor seller. They have outages regulary content is not always updated and more was promised of the tech than has been seen so far. It's a good comparision to the IBZT keyboard because on the surface they both sound like good ideas but once you did they are flawed.
Why is it exceptable for Radioshack to miss deadlines and not IBZT? Why would I give a company like Radioshack the benefit of the doubt when they have proved they are not fit to run a company any more than IBZT? What type of profit would I see today if I bought radio shack 3 or 5 years ago? Break-Even or Loss would be my guess.
Does MSFT lying about the longhorn release date and features not effect the value of my holding in the company? Does there way of doing business not effect my stock prices. yes it does.
Does SLE not being able to run it's company make a differnce because it's a big name. Nope. Dumped every bit of it and moved it into HCN.
Company Size or exchange does not excuse them from running a business poorly. Big Names and higher stock prices do not make a company better run or give any more wiggle room in my book.
What it does give them is more product in the pipeline and an easier chance to recover. If Radioshack was investign heavily in the keyboard they would have failed also and you would see it reflected in the stock price.
I'm fully away of the risks. I always have three pinks I am invested in. I have done well so far but have lost money in some of them as anyone who plays with them does. I hold QBID, DNAP, and PDSC right now and believe in all three.
I have no knowledge of the last to you listed so will not reply on them. I do have a good understanding of the IBZT laser keyboard. There was a buzz here on it.
I first saw the thing on PocketPCthoughts and at first glance it looked like a good idea. I even added IBZT to my watch list and started reading up on the technology involved in the product.
I was not convinced the idea was solid or could be implemented effciently. The problem I saw is being a user of a PDA and an external keyboard the problem isn't the size of the keyboards. They collapse to a good size and the feed back is adequate. The one thing I want is a wireless connection to my PDA the wires are the pain.
The second problem was the feedback of the device, try typing on your desk. Bad idea. Then they started batting around a blue-tooth version of the laser-keyboard and I started watching again thinking the feedback could be overcome by the small size and no wires but by then the reviews were killing the product. Not to mention all of the issues with manufacting companies, etc.
So in closing it was not a good idea. It was a flawed novelty idea from my point of few from the start.
Let's see. I said it happens to every company. I didn't define it in any way shape or form. Although, for the record it happens to pinks, small-cap, large-cap. You name it they miss dead-lines period.
If you think pinks are the only place your gambling in the market then you have a misconception of the market. The only differnce is large caps are more like black-jack. You have a higher chance of winning but your still gambling. Pinks are more like playing the slots.
I do one thing differnt at looking at the pinks or upstart companies I want to gamble on/Invest in. I will go with an idea which is why I have invested in Q. Nothing else other than I believe the company will do good based off the idea. The same thing which I did for SIRI and prior to SIRI was NFLX. I watched the stock plumment held and it turned out well. Both of these were not considered "Real Companies" when I bought them.
We just look at the market a little differntly.
Sure if you say so.
NO other company under a quarter of a penny or above miss dead-lines but QBID. QBID is the only company that doesn't know how to trade succesfully in the open marktet.
Wow. Glad you straightened that out. Now I know QBID is the only company to do this. I'll change my portfolio now that they are the only ones I have to worry about.
Yep. Some missed dead-lines. Happens to every company. If they bother you then you probably shouldn't be investing.
Sound like 15K in revenue to me. You speak as if you have been investing for a long time. Then you should truly realize the differnce between revenue, profit, loss, net income, etc.
If you say it like it is then say it the way is should be stated. It appears Q is working at 23,280,000 loss per year based of the numbers presented.
They do have revenue, they just don't have a profit yet. There net income is -23,280,000. For better or worse that is what we know right now.
You just mentioned the biggest problem Q currently has in my opinion. Viacom had to pull a channel to get LOGO on the air. This says to me we are looking at about a year to getting on a carrier unless LOGO is a big hit then we will see Q get a channel quicker.
I think a gay network is needed just so the content is more accesible to all gays versus the limited and stereotypical stuff we see on normal TV. My own perception is there will be at least 4 channels. A pure movie channel that shows only gay movies, the hip young channel that pushes the boundries of good taste, the old sophisticated channel that is right down the middle of the road, and the music channel.
Are we still on this? LOL!
Yes the station is based on a sexual orientation but not an ADULT theme and certainly not gay sex. LOGO & QBID, the only two I have interest in, are gay themed or gay lifestyle channels.
I'm sure there will be gay sex channels if there are not already like Spice or Playboy. Which is just another channel to meet the theme.
Believe it or not there are gay kids and one station will not meet the needs of all gay adults, kids, and gay attitudes. I see this much like I do the Discovery channel which has good range of channels to choose from each catering to a differnt mind set or age group. Maybe we could compare it to the CNN & Fox News. Both show the same news with just a differnt spin. Also, why so many off shoots of CNN?
Also, don't forget the cross over market if you have good shows. That are must see. Guess easist example is "six feet under" or the "Sopranos". If you get those type shows you get an audiance outside your core market.
Fact is there is more than enough room for two channels. In my opionion in the next 3 years we will see a minimum of 4-5 gay themed channels.
Not now that you answered. I simply wanted the data and not a vague statement.
It's nice to know 8 people filed complaints.
Exactly. "My estimate could be way off or it could be pretty close." There are no facts to say one way or the other. I just question when you use it as fact in a post. It's purely a guess.
With a risk stock you have to look at the potential only. I see potential there and fully expect to make a profit. Sure it's down the road but the last bounce fully paid off my long position. I have already purchased another batch with the a percentag4e of the last bounce profit and increased my long position in PDSS with the remainder.
So maybe that's why I don't complain much about any of my investments. They really don't worry me.
Why so many ESPN stations? Why so many Hispanic stations? Why so many music stations? Why so many cartoon stations? Why so many movie channels?
If you are talking about the price going up I don't see it. If your long then you have a long time to wait. Although, I do think long term you will make money. Hopefully you split your fund in a risk stock like this and play the bounces with about a 1/4 to a 1/3.
I expect no serious rise for at least another 3-6 months and that is being optimistic. I see no reason for the price to go up with out solid news.
In fact as I said before I'm surprised it has held at the slow decline it is at now.
You made a statement I was asking for clarifcation on. If it was me making the statement and you asking the question then I would answer something like this.
"Three freinds of mine filed complaints."
"I'm a broker and filed a complaint pesonally"
etc.
You should know by now I don't bash and I don't pump. I simply ask for clarification on statements.
Then why not just state that I know someone who did. That's what I am asking for. An explanation or a place to find the numbers he is using. Bascially a valadation of facts. Then I can re-evauluate my position of the overall picture based upon that informatin.
I think he knows as well as you and I do that the "I know a friend of a friend who filed a complaint" doesn't hold much solid ground.
"especially when so many people filed complaints with the SEC."
I have no burden of proof. I made no statement about the level of complaints filed. I am still wondering how you managed to determine the statement you made though.
Although, the answer is you can not. The SEC only releases information if it is used against the company from my understanding.
Yep. Heard that before. Although, the people saying that were wrong also on other stocks (HCN,BWLD,SIRI,SCSS) that I invested time and money in. The latest one was with SIRI. Man the message boards were even funnier than these. Although, I did well even getting in at slightly above a dollar.
It funny to watch people with the "air" facts and opinions talk though. You ask them a direct question to a statement they made and they ignore you or post back a irrelevant reply.
Funny stuff.
"especially when so many people filed complaints with the SEC."
BigTips you made the statement. Can you back it up or are you just pulling it out of the air?
You have no idea if anyone has filed. If so provide the data.
I'm not concerned as I have pointed out before. I still am waiting for the list of 10 valid SEC investigation points from Sputnik.
My questions was and still is. Does he have actual numbers if so post the link to the info or explain. If not then he's simply making things up.
" And that is when I knew .0016 was coming."
So why did you pick .0016?
Why did Viacom have to drop a channel to get LOGO on in limited areas only?
Of course they having something to show or they would be on RCN at all.
Could you please link or explain how you know "so many people filed complaints with the SEC".
I'd like to see the numbers.
Bill gates is the same way. Never meets his PR dates. I know, I know he's such a loser.
Not that I recall. There is not any way to get an accurate model so how could you have one?
This is an imaginary number and very misleading.
Where did this number come from?
75,000,000,000
Well based off the short time we were at .0016 I believe who ever called the .01 wins. Since we did see a trade at that price just as long as we did .0016.
How bout giving your self true credit when we truly see .0016 and trade there for longer than 60 seconds.
When is the end date for this?
I wouldn't expect it to. I keep the majority of my money in Dividend stocks.
A stock such as Qbid is a risk stock. No one would expect them to pay a dividend. Also, your asking for trouble if you expect them to develop as fast as a LOGO or even make it at all. I put what I wanted to risk (a % profit from my SIRI investmant). I could care less if I lose every penny of it. That's the only attitude one should have investing in any stock of the same nature as Q.
I have always expected LOGO to be on the air at the same time or prior to Q simply because they have the power of Viacom behind them. Just because LOGO makes it on the air does not mean the QBID investment is gone. I keep an eye on both companies and they are similiar but differnt in many ways. I fully expect the market to sustain both companies.
The biggest concern I've had about my investment in Q does concern LOGO though. The fact that they had to pull a channel to get LOGO on the air shows how hard it will be for Q to expand to a nation wide level. I have move my projected time to see a profit from Q back another 6-12 months due to that one news bit. Other than that Q has been doing a good job and getting things done. I am very happy with my investment.
Funny. I just had two drop to Major companies due to them doing so poorly. So poorly in fact that the dividend yield of 4.0 and 3.4 didn't even help.
Just moved both companies allocated funds into a 6.7 dividend yield company.
Qbid is doing exactly what I expected for a start up. So much differnt and less worrisome than the firmly entrenched large corps that are tanking.
I'm assuming you are subscried to QTv and watch the show in question?
If not how can you determine the level of talent, production value, or orginallity of the show's content?
If so please give me detailed analysis.
Why would someone bet on that?
Your basically taking the odds on your side. A .0008 movement versus a .0082 movement. Your also asking someone to take this in a bad market and on a stock that been trading sideways after a down trend.
I would tend to agree. The company has both postive and negatives right now. He brought up a few points that should be of concern but not that I see the SEC investigating which was the point.
Overall I still have faith that my investment will net me a nice profit.
Interesting. Where would I work if I had to work late on Friday then work from 5:30-11:00 on Sunday?
By the way I'm doing this to burn some time and am enjoying it.
My mistake. I got the two confused apparently. Can't seem to find the SEC filing for another one though. When did it occur exactly?
Fact #2 (4): Please give more detail on this. It's my understanding it was dismissed which means Oxegan agreed with the dismissal or would have moved forward. So I totally dismiss this without issue as would the SEC.
Everything I have seen states this was a misunderstanding.
We sit at 1 fact so far.
Why would the SEC investigate this?
