I still think there is dilution to get wrapped up and they need buying activity to wash some of it without taking us down. Today will be interesting.
Would have been nice to hear something we did not already know. Lets hope this makes it out on the wire so maybe some that don't know about us come have a look and see that yesterday was a good day.
Sunworks CEO Issues Letter to Shareholders
ROSEVILLE, Calif. April 21, 2016 - Sunworks, Inc. (Nasdaq: SUNW), a provider of solar power solutions for commercial and residential markets, issued the following Letter to Shareholders from its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, James B. Nelson.
To Our Fellow Shareholders,
Last year was an extraordinary one for our company as Sunworks emerged as a profitable public company in the solar industry – a unique status. Sunworks earned more than $1 million in net income on record setting revenue of $53.7 million. This profitable growth reflects strong underlying performance across each of our operating units which are founded on delivering cost effective solutions in a reliable and dependable manner with extreme attention to customer satisfaction.
In 2015, each of the original operating entities we acquired, Solar United Network, MD Energy and Elite Solar, all achieved rapid organic growth, and prospects for 2016 look even stronger. We finished the year with contracted backlog of approximately $47.5 million, a record for our company. This foundation gives us a clear line of sight to achieving our conservative 2016 revenue guidance of $100 million. Just as important, we expect to deliver stronger profitability in 2016 as well.
This is an exciting time to be in the solar business as the industry is truly still in its infancy and highly fragmented, particularly in the western region of the U.S. where we primarily operate today. There is a significant opportunity for consolidation available to companies such as ours that have the balance sheet and cash flow generating abilities to accelerate growth through acquisitions. We see solid inorganic opportunities as the commercial segment of the solar industry continues its rapid growth, and the residential segment is being propelled by powerful market and regulatory trends. We intend to make additional strategic investments in organic initiatives and new acquisitions that integrate seamlessly with our existing operations and that we believe will create long-term shareholder value by taking a disciplined approach to investing. We have a proven history of making successful acquisitions, and we anticipate continuing our methodical approach to make sure we acquire the right companies, in the right geographies, and most especially, the right people to drive long-term success. Internally, we anticipate making investments that will drive our installation cost down and will increase customer satisfaction—while expanding our geographic footprint.
As the federal and local regulatory environments continue to evolve and embrace solar as an alternative energy source, we believe the opportunities for growth in this industry are expansive. The social trends of fighting climate change are extremely supportive of solar energy and we expect will also be a catalyst for enabling millions of households and commercial businesses to choose solar as a clean, renewable and affordable energy source.
A cornerstone of our success in this rapidly growing industry has been to deliver solar systems that provide tangible benefits with a focus on complete customer satisfaction. We are committed to doing what we say we will do. We believe this approach to caring for our customers has been a key enabler to the profitable growth of our company. We have clear guiding principles for our business that we believe will position our company to capitalize on market trends and enable continued, profitable growth. As a low-cost provider with reliable delivery and financing alternatives that are advantageous to our customers, we are determined to provide the best value in solar solutions. By staying true to our unique business model that combines organic and inorganic profitable growth with our customers’ best interests at the center of all that we do, we have differentiated ourselves from our competitors and are reinforcing the positive image associated with our brand.
Our approach to growing our business profitably through investment and caring for our customers is what sets us apart competitively and as an investment opportunity. To better communicate our vision and unify our operating businesses, we recently underwent a major rebranding exercise that included name and logo changes. As you are already aware, we are now operating under the “Sunworks” brand and trading under a new ticker symbol, “SUNW.” This brand transformation better reflects who we are as a company and provides us with a common corporate identity and broader market presence under which we can continue to grow.
I am optimistic about where our company is headed and honored to lead our outstanding team through the next wave of growth.
On behalf of the entire board and management team, I would to thank all of our employees, customers and shareholders for their continued support.
Sincerely,
James B. Nelson
CEO and Chairman of the Board

Sorry.. Its like waiting for a happy meal at the drive thru for 3 plus years. At this rate I might be able to hope for a wifi enabled wheelchair!
Lol! Sounds pretty silly tossing out big PPS numbers like that. Others have done that around here for years and those pipe dreams never materialized so enjoy the daydreaming but please don't make others think that is realistic. We are all standing at a table betting where the odds are in favor of the house.
The way I see it until dilution is done and they don't make more dilutive deals going forward we will not see those results. Not only are we waiting to show a string of profitable Qs we are now needing to show trust that the dilution is done and won't be snuck back into the mix. On another note if the cell were to actually show it's face and some manufacturing partner be announced then hey I think they could be very dilutive for a while and get away with it.
I could not have said that better
The only FACT I see is that the PPS is trending down regardless any other positive factors surrounding it. How anyone can say anything positive right now is simply daydreaming at best. Yes I am still invested here but that does not mean I have to say things that do not agree with the PPS trending down. No disrespect
And this is why the company is posting record profits and growth but the stock price does not trend the same. We have the ability to get great gas mileage but the car seems to be in reverse or neutral at best. Who wants to buy one if you can't shift into forward and actually get from point A to point B which is the ultimate goal for buying it in the first place?
Loving the FACT that this past week has brought forth some great conversations and maybe even made some new friends who previously weren't getting much respect on this board! Cheers and may our futures bring us the gains we are all hoping for. Have a great weekend!
Unless they are done diluting we are headed south and like I said last week if we are lucky it might spike up to $2.50 prior to ER unless we get some news that is meaningful. Sure I hope I am wrong but I too think the Jig is up. This company did not go to the Nazdaq for benefit of the average shareholder IMO. It was a financing and employee payment tool at best until PPS and volume changes and charts otherwise
I did not sell another 37,000 shares today FACT!
Dilutional model that we have will never interest new investors and I think JN was hoping the great YOY growth would entice enough new investors to provide some cloud cover for the dilution but as others have said the Jig is up and until dilution stops who knows how low the price will go and I do think a R/S is in their future plans which this time will be for all the wrong reasons. Time will tell but the sure fact today is actual PPS.
Share price and volume action speak so clearly about what is happening here. These items are the only true indicators of this company at present time. I am really starting to think some of the old timers here are somehow connected to the family members or employees at said company. Seems they can't see a fire when fire is burning people.
It's getting the life sucked out of it which will then set stage for another R/S and repeat
This is a company they took public IMO to fund off the backs of the open market share purchasers. Until I see PPS and volume indicate otherwise that is my belief. Sad that the true colors are so obvious especially since I had so much more confidence in what JN would do. He has been backed into a corner with these owners of acquired companies and this may not be where he intended to see things go but here we are. We should be trending GREEN not RED!!
A string of 8 quarters just like the last one would make no difference to tutes if the dilution model continues. The PPS is trending opposite the growth and profitability of the company which speaks volumes. Smart investors are not blind to this ongoing dilution.
Show me 1 institutional investor that Jim has hooked from one of these speaking engagements that made an initial investment followed by a second investment. Personally I think if he finds an investor of size he makes them a deal to see they get rewarded thru some dilution method that the average Joe supports? Is this possible? Hell if I know but why else would he be going to these conferences when he knows no institution is going to buy shares at face value.
Sure they are doing great things in terms of growth and profits but the tables are setup to enrich the house and build the company on the backs of average Joes to the extent allowed
Both Naz and Sandridge are saying what I have been thinking is taking place here as well. I was warned by a family member who knows of MachineTalker fellas about 4 years ago and told me they were crooks. I had already leveraged heavily and was showing massive green on paper and have been hell bent to prove that statement incorrect but as I said a while back I stayed too long and averaged up as I continued adding shares. Today I am in the RED and I am certainly not happy. This is no longer a company to invest in IMO and obviously the street feels the same.
Pretty sad honestly. I am done with all the cheerleaders telling stories that don't support the volume and PPS at the end of the day!
Disregard this post as I found the answer was yes he did present at the Roth conference.
If were lucky it will run up to $2.50 just before the ER is announced
Like I said a while back "share price is all that matters as everything else is just noise" at the end of the day whoever has the best explanation for actual share price wins the conversation IMO because PPS trumps all other noise.
I figured they would have a decent array on roof to showcase real time data with prospective buyers. Cool nonetheless!
Yes I just took a large bath over there! So much for thinking $5 was a great entry point!
Interesting marketing concept for solar www.powur.com
The only thing that matters to me is the price per share everything else is just noise
I suppose that depends on any more business developments as well as additional dilutive actions. If Past performance is any indication of future performance the answer would be no to your question
Closer to 60 days
That would be artificially raising the price then we have half the shares we had and without some block buster news we just fall back to $3 within 6 months. No thanks Vic. If we are worth $5 or better we need to get there otherwise IMO
Thanks Mooon. Positive talk is never shunned when things are positive but it is interesting how some negativity is treated here when things are not going so well. Regardless you are all my friends at end of day
Looks like everything that has happened was baked in since we were at .11 a few years ago? I hear A sucking sound and it actually gets louder with news. My pom poms are retired at the moment but I still have them when and if the day comes. Good conversations today and great support. I'm long but can't always be positive like some others here who always seem to find the cherry in the flaming poo.. Snif snif .... something stinks! Cheers my friends
The markets general reaction to this and I highly doubt this would attract institutional money to jump in but hey what do I know anyway.
That is a bad idea IMO and I hope you were kidding? This baby needs to grow legs on its own.
So maybe "on fire" was a bit strong. We are basically at the same share price as we were 2 years ago and with all the positive things that have happened since then and the fact we are in a solar installation market that is "on fire" we should be trading over $5 easily. If I here what you are saying about your current DD then we should not be expecting new money to come in right now?
Mooon..your facts are correct and herein lies the issue I have. This stock should be on fire but it is not. This sentiment goes back 18 months to today. It is funny how so many predict the future of this stock but the future never seems to occur. I have been here 4 years so I have seen many futures come and go. I offered up a nice chunk of shares yesterday and was hoping someone would just take them but it was not to happen obviously so I will stay the course and hope someone's future prediction becomes reality sooner than later.
Limited vision statement Lol
Hey cheering will happen when cheers are warranted! Settle down
How can new money possibly get excited about investing here with past news and price action performance? If I just found this company today and did DD to decide if I would take a position here. I have to say I would not. Yes I have made money here but not since up-listing. Feeling frustrated for sure
Five & Dime paper bag ad yes jokes about this help cure the pain for me
