Air Force?
Do you feel this stock has been illegally manipulated at any time in the last 7 years?
Why don’t they do anything. I’ve written them 3 times in the last 2 years. No response. Has anyone else tried writting them? They have a website with specific instructions how to lodge a complaint on the website. Unfortunately, like I stated, no response! Maybe if they got enough complaints they would be forced to respond, or act.
Does the SEC have any jurisdiction over OTC stocks?
In addition, she ordered govt to release executive privilege documents. Govt has not, and she has done nothing to force them to release.
It would be nice if the 11,000 docs are released as well.
I agree that it is low on the possibilities. I don’t think he needs congressional approval for how he spends it..it has already been appropriated. So, What I’m trying to get my mind around is, what’s he going to do with it. I highly doubt he’s going to leave it for Biden.
Nice to hear from you Obit,
Do you have any thoughts on why Mnuchin is taking back the $455B from the fed designated for Covid relief. He says there are better ways to use this money. Can he spend it without congress approval? Could he capitalize the GSE’s?
TIA, look forward to your thoughts.
I love it. Hope this or something close happens. When would shares be relisted..?
Can you elaborate?
Assuming trump has lost this election. On December 6 Mnuchin will be able to tell from the judges questions , how they will most likely rule. At that point , what motivation does treasury have to settle. If it was me I’d just let it go and let the next administration explain paying restitution of possibly over $100 billion .
I will send said email to my rep.
Thanks
I thought FAIRHOLME had a large block of shares. Should they be on this list?
I hope the Collins attorneys get this message clearly addressed to the Supreme Court justices.
Yes, my bad. I wrote this late at night and couldn’t remember the would remedy. So I used compensation. In regards to articles, just google...5th circuit en banc ,..Collins..or, FHFA...etc.
Some are speculating APRIL.
Oral argument is dec. 9. Google Supreme Court for calendar.
They are going to hear it December 9.
I’m afraid it is.
I believe Roberts is a constitutionalist. He will follow the 5th amendment to the constitution and rule for the shareholders
Does anyone know if Supreme Court has scheduled the December calendar yet?
Edward DeMarco signed the 3rd amendment (NWS). Only two signatures caused this whole mess(NWS). Tim Geithner and Ed DeMarco. I would not trust either one with anything.
They probably won’t hear it until dec. And provide a ruling around April next year.
The other Collins is a rape case that happened in the military. It has nothing to do with Collins vs Mnuchin or Mnuchin vs Collins which have been combined. Collins/Mnuchin is the case we are interested in.
United States vs Collins is a military rape case...
Collins vs Mnuchin is combined with Mnuchin vs Collins....this is not on calendar yet
Good read, and thank you.
Just to be clear, did you mean United States vs Collins?
Or, Collins vs Mnuchin?
Yes, United States vs Collins is scheduled for oral arguments in October, but, that is about a rape case.
Collins vs Mnuchin is about Fannie and Freddie. This case has not been scheduled for arguments yet....though it is expected to be on the December calendar.
Thanks,
Ok, doesn’t say punitive damages, but does give her okay for a judgment.
We REVERSE the judgment dismissing Count I and REMAND that claim for further proceedings. We AFFIRM the judgment dismissing Counts II and III. The court REVERSES the judgment as to Count IV and REMANDS that claim for entry of judgment that the “for cause” removal limitation in 12 U.S.C. § 4512(b)(2) is unconstitutional.
I thought the en banc appeal was sent back to a judge atlas..with instructions that NWS was no good and for her to provide remedy.,thought it was 5th . That’s when it was appealed to SCOTUS. I Could be wrong....Collins vs Mnuchin.
I agree,
It’s a shame how much corruption and fraud is occurring . I didn’t realize how bad it had gotten until I bought this stock and followed the deceit, corruption and outright lies. And 99% of the citizens have no clue.
Interesting, Bove states commons share price will jump if Supreme Court decides to hear the Collins case. I believe SCOTUS will decide to hear or not hear in the next week or two. Wonder what he means by a jump?
10%.....20%,...50%???
By the way, I’m not sure it’s a bad thing if they choose not to hear. Doesn’t that mean it goes back to 5th circuit, where judge Atlas has been remanded to order punitive damages in regards to the NWS? I mean she could order government to payback everything above initial loan??? , plus 10%. Thus , putting around $130B onto the GSE books.......This is my opinion and granted some dreaming, but something like this, and of course the damages she awards are hypothetical and could be any variation from 0 to 130+.
Just me guessing, speculating, dreaming, on a Wednesday morning in July of the year 2020. I am open to listen to others ideas and pointing to any omissions or errors I’ve made.
Don’t know for sure but, I think it’s just the justices deciding if they should hear it.
The only thing we will be hearing from SCOTUS this week is if Collins vs Mnuchin gets redistribute for conference. Then ,if it is redistributed, conference would be expected this week. Within a day or two after conference we will know if they will grant a hearing. If they do , it will be in October or November for oral arguments, and an opinion about 4 months later.
If they don’t grant the hearing it goes back to ninth court for a remedy from Judge atlas .
At least that’s my understanding.
I asked SCOTUSBLOG if Collins vs Mnuchin could be pushed to next term. This is their reply.
They could, but they will almost certainly have at least one more conference, even if they haven't announced it yet. They typically have what we refer to as the "clean-up" conference after they have finished issuing all of their opinions for the term. It started as a way to deal with the cases that had been on hold for the merits cases decided at the end of the term, but at least in the past several years they have also considered some of the petitions that are still around. I don't know whether they will note on the docket that they have been redistributed, because that might signal when they expect to hold the next conference, but there are others in the same boat -- the group of petitions involving the FTC's authority to get injunctions ordering the return of illegally obtained funds, which had been on hold for the decision in Liu v. SEC. All of this is a long-winded way of saying that they could let it sit until next term, but they could also still act on the cases before their summer recess. Hope this is somewhat helpful; have a good Fourth
Collins vs Mnuchin was distributed for conference tomorrow. It is expected they will announce Thursday whether they hear or not hear. If they decide to hear , oral arguments will probably not be scheduled until next year. If they decide not to hear, it goes back to judge Atlas. I don’t know if SCOTUS considers legality of NWS in this case.
It seems to me that if SCOTUS denies hearing this, then NWS decision from lower court could be fairly soon.
If SCOTUS decides to hear it, we’ll be waiting until at least next summer.
Obiterdictum are you still around? Does NWS come up in Collins vs Mnuchin? Do you think SCOTUS will order something with NWS directing what to do with it?
Still trying to understand. Tomorrow SCOTUS will decide to hear or not hear Collins vs Mnuchin. Does this case include the NWS?......If SCOTUS decides not to hear this case, does it go to Atlas and she can decide financial payback to company or shareholders or both...? I think she was told by en banc appeal, that NWS was improper or illegal.
SCOTUS will consider Collins vs Mnuchin Wednesday. Does this case ask for stop of NWS, and pay back of all payments above original bailout and 10%.?
What does this mean?
TIA
Thanks for the input. I’m on SCOTUS website, where do I see the R ? I realize that means last one today, but I dont know where to look..
Thanks
Yes, that is what Amy believes. Possibly into early July.
Some correspondence I’ve had with Amy Howe of SCOTUSBLOG.
Timeline is bottom up...I.e. start at the bottom, I just did cut and paste..
I think it would be very unusual for them not to decide Seila Law. It's a hard case (especially w/r/to what they do if they decide that the removal restrictions are unconstitutional) but not impossibly hard, and it was argued early enough in the term that they should be able to resolve it before the end of June/beginning of July.
There are 19 cases left to decide. They have occasionally carried cases over, as they did last year with Sharp v. Murphy: We don't know for sure, but the conventional wisdom was that, with Justice Gorsuch recused, they were deadlocked and decided to deal with it by carrying it over to the next term . . . at which point they granted a new case, McGirt v. Oklahoma, that involved the same issue but from which Gorsuch was not recused.
Take care, and stay well,
Amy

Is there any chance we don’t get an order on Seila law vs CFPB?...this year.
How many argued cases are left for this year’s court. Have they ever let any argued cases to carryover to next year?
Thank you again,
You have been very helpful.

Unless it's the last day of the term, we don't know when a particular opinion will come down. The Court generally announces its opinion days the week before -- normally on Thursdays at this time of year, after the justices' conference. For the most part, I would expect (although there is no guarantee) opinions on Mondays each week, and then at some point the Court will also add additional opinion days. In past years they have added Thursdays first, but it's a little murkier this year because they don't have to take the bench to release opinions. You can see opinion announcement days on the Court's calendar; we also try to note them on SCOTUSblog when we learn of them.
https://www.supremecourt.gov/ ;
Is there anyway to tell when a judgement will be released? Do they note when judgements will come, such as providing dates on their calendar of conferences, or opinions. Maybe not announcing dates for each case , but do they have a pattern for announcing judgements, such as every other Thursday or last Friday of each month?
Thanks again for your patience,

I think we will hear it before the Court's summer recess, whenever that is. Normally they finish up before the end of June, but we don't know whether that will still be the case this year when they held oral arguments later than normal AND they may not have anywhere to go in July. (The flip side of that argument is that they have far fewer cases than normally to decide.) Hope this is somewhat useful . . .
Amy , do you think we will hear a judgment? , from SCOTUS on Seila vs CFPB, this session?...June or July.
Thanks,
